I get that everyone wants TikTok back but do we understand how bad it is that it’s happening the way it’s happening. Like we do understand how much of a horrifically choreographed process this is to boost and benefit Trump right. Ear Buds Review!

So, first off I should say that I'm a (wired only) headphones diehard. I've always been, it's what I prefer, I don't trust anything that's bluetooth for no reason other than I can't see the physical connection my headphones make to my phone. That being said, If there was another way to hear Kafka say in a disappointed manner " Aw, looks like it can't connect" I would have bought it. It also didn't fully hit me until it arrived in my hands that Everything Kafka will be telling me about the connections to my phone the ear buds are making... will be in Japanese.

I don't know Japanese...

But that doesn't matter anymore <3

Anyway, On to the Review! (Pictures under the cut)

First, I just wanna say I think its cute that they put the instruction booklet in its own little package. It's not supposed to speak anything about quality, I just think it's nice. (By the way, it does come with a little slip of paper where you can get a warranty on them. Both the instructions and the warranty paper are in Japanese though...)

Good news, It doesn't solely need a wireless charging pad to charge. It came with a USB-C cable so all I had to do was plug it in. It feels good in the hands, has a nice weight to it, all around a good size. It came with an extra set of ear plugs in small and large, with medium already on there. (I had to switch to small because God cursed me with tiny ear holes.) The four little dots along the front are the charging indicator lights.

I don't know if you can tell, but they do light up a little. It's actually half of how they work. They indicate things like pairing fail and other stuff. They cycle through white, orange, and red. The white and the orange are for pairing indications and I think the red is to just show that they're on.

PRAISE BE TO THE THE MACHINE SPIRIT, BECAUSE I GOT THEM TO PAIR!!!! I got them synced to my phone and I thoroughly christened them in the Kn8 intro, outro, several OST clips, AND the first and second to last/last episode. I did pair them to my laptop as well, but that was because I tried to get an audio recording of Kafka's voice coming through the earbuds, but my mic didn't pick it up. Sincere apologies, @kafkahibinomybeloved I tried for you. 😔

To those that do buy it, a little heads up, put the ear buds in BEFORE you try to pair. Otherwise you end up missing out on the voice. (I know, it should sound incredibly obvious, but hey. Not everyone works on the same operating speed.)

As far as fit goes, I can't really say. They did feel like they were slipping out of my ears a little, but that may be due to my small ear holes to begin with. Outside of that, they held up pretty well to some mild headbanging when I rocked out to Warcry.

First impressions leave me to say that this is a good product so far. Time will tell if they hold up (and I sincerely hope they do. These little sh*ts were expensive. Damn yen-to-dollar conversion rates. Not to mention overseas shipping.)

Will proceeded to use these to watch Apothecary diaries and My Happy Marrage. (Because I wasn't aware they were releasing this early in the year.)

As a licensed therapist, let me tell you that the most success I’ve found with patients is not being uwu soft happy thoughts guy, and instead being someone that validates all the rage, anger, frustration and sorrow they have. Curbing it with fake positivity is unhealthy and self-destructive. Express it. If you need to cry, you cry, if we need to rage, we rage, if you aren’t good with words, we can do something more physical; I bought cheap plates one time, for this 16 year old girl who just couldn’t communicate and convey properly, then we smashed them together whenever our slow conversation touched on the things that truly hurt her, the idea being that giving a physical component to speech could help her organize ideas better, and it worked.

And after we get all that rage out of you, after we validate and shape it into something that’s nothing to be ashamed of and that needn’t be kept in a little cloister until it blows you to kingdom come, then we talk about how beautiful shit can be once rage and frustration are things you can grab by the throat. Yeah it’s not going to solve everything because a lot of psychological issues are symptoms of a greater root problem, and a lot of times, you don’t have mental illness, you simply don’t have money, but with that wholly on the table? Yeah it becomes easier to navigate potential solutions and increase resilience.

But seriously, “fake it until you make it” has a lot of merits but there’s a big red line that says “FAKE HAPPINESS” that you shouldn’t cross. Can’t blame you if you do, because we are taught “negative” emotions exist (they don’t) and that we have to repress and never ‘fail’. Fuck up a lot, and learn from it, learn how to get angry in a way that helps you and doesn’t hurt others. Way more productive than thinking happy thoughts.

Well, it's about that time again...and I'm still getting the hang of this schedule, but it is working very well for me so far. Folks tend to come to my aid more naturally and frequently over here, as opposed to the outdoor area where coworkers would often ignore calls for help. Other than that, it's been more or less what I expected. There's a few people who will stand outside the doors waiting for us to open, which is...like, dude, this ain't Black Friday, there's you and one other guy here, the door will be open at 6 AM and you know this, so just back off. I can sorta get away with less...as in, some of the customer service stuff and the cross-selling they want, they're not gonna get out of people who just woke up. So, like, so long as I keep things running smoothly, most people are content with that and I don't have to do so much extra talking. Though I still worry about how I'm gonna manage five days in a row...the opening shift itself has been what I expected, but what about the schedule overall, day to day, week to week? Sometimes I get really, like, anxious or impatient or something and I get fed up with waiting for the work day to end. Sometimes I just get physically exhausted after three days and I spend 90% of the next day in bed. But maybe now that I have routine, my mind and body won't be so prone to these wild swings...! I'll just have to wait and see.
