Cerise red suit with an unbuttoned cropped jacket that hides narrow grey suspenders securing high-waisted pressed trousers. The jacket is encrusted with pink sequins on the lapel and edges of the cuffs, and there is a white lace handkerchief that hangs lazily from the pocket. Underneath is a white shirt with lace ruffles on the chest and hand-length frilly cuffs that show prominently from under the jacket sleeve. He wears white ankle boots, and a black cummerbund which is balanced with a western bow tie in black with white adornments. Lister and Rimmer are his additional accessories in outfits to match his. i love all the music in red dwarf, because it’s so complex for such a silly show. they just let howard goodall go wild in the booth

So I decided one day “Hey, I’m obsessed with these two franchises so why not mix them both”.

So yeah… I made Arnold J Rimmer into a new Pokemon trainer (most likely in the Galar region since it’s based in the UK). I’ll try to explain his team (though if anyone has any better suggestions, please let me know):

1) Morpeko - His ‘starter’ Pokemon (he’s had it since he was a kid - based on the lemming he had as a kid in the series). I imagine Rimmer wouldn’t have it out of the Pokeball much since it’s a ‘Full Time Bastard’ in his eyes. Mainly causing trouble for him (like any small mammal would).

2) Slackof - The first Pokemon he catched after his journey began. He was egged on to do so by Lister when he talked about how strong Slaking was (I mean, it’s stronger than most Pokemon ffs). Sadly, Rimmer is not aware of its pretty terrible ability.

3) Lipard - Cat in this universe. It originally belonged to Lister after one of his Pokemon had an egg (No clue what Frankenstein would be atm) but gave it to Rimmer upon hearing on his ‘forced vacation’. If I decide to have Lister join him as a travel companion, Cat will most likely swap between the two.

4) Porygon - Kryten in this universe. No idea if they will stay a Pokemon or somehow find a more human-like body to become a trainer themselves but can decide that later down the line.

5) Servine - Defiantly a Pokemon Rimmer was (eventually) able to catch themselves. I can imagine the Pokemon crossing paths with Rimmer a few times as a Snivy and Rimmer catches it not long after it evolves. Probably the more battle-driven on his team and smug as hell about it.

No idea for any other Pokemon Rimmer (or anyone else in the show) would have atm. As said before, if anyone has any ideas, I’d love to hear them. :)
