Lena is using Kara’s gift, her planner. But also this kinda feel like redcorp lol, Krasnaya Dotch obsessed ass spying Lena at catco as Kara. What you say? Who is that?

Now it may not count completely because the man who has 31 (should be 32) consecutive life sentences in prison and wants to control the world said it, but it is kinda crazy that Lena and Kara are so similar and so tied together that even when Lex met a blank version of Kara he goes “You remind me of her [Lena] sometimes.”

What if it was Kara who died? What if Linda survived?

Everything is on fire. I am a fractured mess atm. Here is the next chapter anyway. EXCERPT:

Voices ahead in the tunnel. She pauses and presses her back against the cavern wall. One is higher-pitched and distorted, as if spoken through a mechanical filter. The other is deeper and more gravelly. She sniffs the air, and a faint stench of ozone drifts along the misty musk of the cavern. Something had burned recently — not a fire but more like an engine. 

The cavern itself is massive. It’d fit the human’s space shuttle easily, and the stalactites have been shorn off the ceiling. Dripping water echoes in the space, a small pond near her passage lays still, resembling a mirror almost. 

She takes a cautious step forward to peer around the corner. A huge machine takes up the center of the cavern, it’s metal sides gleaming in the dim light of several floodlamps. It could be a ship, but Kara doubts it. The ozone smell comes from it. The center of the cylindrical machine shows a spinning centrifuge that sizzles with lightning, the translucent metal likely a form of white dwarf glass since any other glass would have shattered from the momentum and intense energy spikes. 

Lines of cables come out of the machine and vanish underground.

The people speak in a language Kara barely remembers from her childhood on Krypton. It’s not Kryptonian per se nor is it the sister planet, Daxamite. No, this sounds more like a neighboring system that had long gone extinct. 

The name starts with a sound equivalent to the English ‘j’ but her mind refuses to bring up the memory. This angers her. Why is her mind so uncooperative? Why is her memories all jumbled? Is it the split due to Harun-el? But did she split? Doubt creeps in amongst her anger. She wants to smash something. Purple lightning flickers along her fingers. 

Fighting against the wave of anger, the urge for revenge, proves almost insurmountable. She’s infected — Red Kryptonite? Surely not, for her mind would have been suppressed more while all her worse parts came out to destroy and harm. No, this is some other Kryptonite, and it pisses her off. 

She eyes the machine and wonders if she can smash it. It’d feel good, she knows it will, and it can’t be good for it to continue to operate. Will she be hurt by it? Is there a way to turn it off first? She doesn’t want to wait. 

She wants to destroy it and those aliens now.

Shuddering, she slinks back into her passage, tucks herself behind stalagmites, and breathes in slow patterns to try to calm her rage. With each breath, she settles more and more into her body. Closing her eyes, her other senses come alive for a moment: the scent of the people’s breath and the microbes hidden within, the stench of the mushroom growth along the walls, the sounds of the machine — all the intricate pings, dings, and whirls, the touch of air along her skin.

I just got to the scene where Alex thinks Red Daughter killed Kara and she’s saying stuff like “you can’t leave” and “there’s sunlight in the grass” while shoving grass into Kara’s hand. UGH 😭😩 I sobbed. And Chyler is a great actress omg.

… oh, so mariko tamaki is going to be there for all 12 of the action comics issues? cool, yeah. awesome…

in her defence, the premise sounds interesting. but her whole problem is that she doesn’t write kara’s personality right so we’ll have to wait and see.
