watching a drv3 letsplay and honestly its really funny how obvious they made it that maki isnt a child caregiver. like they barely even tried. you walk up to her and she immediately goes "yeah im a child caregiver i guess (said mysteriously). But i hate kids and i dont like them hanging out with me. and im not even good at my job and i am not friendly at all. also i'm not the child caregiver" and then you leave the conversation with her and kaede immediately turns to shuichi and goes "wow she really doesn't seem like the child caregiver". and shuichi says "wow that is not a child caregiver". and then a big title shows up on screen that says SHES LYING TO YOU

CRAZY DOC.
──── THE MORNING WAS LIKE ANY OTHER at Tokyo Metropolitan High, or at least, that’s how it started. You sat at your usual lunch table, poking at your salad with a fork while half-listening to Shoko ramble about how boring her last class was.
“You’d think that by now, Mr. Takahashi would at least pretend to care about making math class less soul-sucking,” Shoko groaned, slumping over the table, her eyes barely staying open. “Honestly, being a teenage spy is easier than surviving calculus.”
Gojo, sitting across from you, flashed his usual grin. “Hey, if I can handle saving the world and acing math exams, you can too, Shoko. Just gotta think of everything as a strategy. Life’s a game.”
“You mean a game you never take seriously,” you teased, elbowing him lightly.
“Guilty as charged,” Gojo shrugged, still grinning, completely unfazed. He pushed his sunglasses up, looking around the cafeteria as if waiting for something to happen. And, like clockwork, Getou slid into the seat next to you, looking far too composed for someone who had just come from gym class. “You’re just upset because Mr. Takahashi doesn’t let you nap in class anymore.”
Shoko smirked, pushing her bangs out of her face. “Napping is a skill. Not everyone can do it with style.”
Before you could chime in, there was a sudden buzzing in your backpack. You, Getou, Gojo, and Shoko exchanged knowing looks. Not now…It was always at the most inconvenient times.
Gojo was the first to check, pulling out a small device from his pocket. “Yaga’s calling. Guess the world needs saving again.” You sighed, already imagining the crazy mission waiting for you, but there was no denying the thrill of it either. Even if it meant cutting lunch short—again.
Without another word, the four of you subtly slipped out of the cafeteria, heading towards the janitor’s closet—your usual meeting spot whenever WOOHP had a mission for you. The second you stepped inside the cramped closet, the floor dropped out from beneath your feet, sending all four of you tumbling through a slide-like tunnel. You barely had time to react before you were hurled into the familiar WOOHP briefing room, the smooth landing cushions barely softening your fall.
You groaned, pushing yourself up just in time to see Gojo land with a dramatic roll beside you.
“Man, I love when that happens!” he laughed, adjusting his glasses.
Shoko, who had somehow landed gracefully on her feet after being whooped through the tunnel, crossed her arms with a bored expression. “You would,” she said dryly, raising an eyebrow at Gojo, who had landed dramatically flat on his back, arms spread wide like a starfish.
Getou, always the composed one, straightened up next to you, brushing some imaginary dust off his uniform with a sigh. “You’d think after all this time, they’d come up with a less chaotic way to bring us here.” He muttered, his voice tinged with just a hint of exasperation.
You stifled a laugh. No matter how many times you were unceremoniously dropped through the WOOHP tunnel system, it never got old seeing your team react differently every time.
Before you could dwell on it, a familiar voice boomed through the room, cutting through the chatter. "Welcome, team."
You all snapped to attention as Yaga stood at the podium, looking as serious as ever. His massive frame, furrowed brows, and the permanent scowl etched into his face made it clear that this was no time for jokes—though, when was it ever for him?
Gojo, who had finally picked himself off the floor, leaned over to you, whispering loud enough for everyone to hear. “Bet we’re saving the world from an evil mastermind again,” he grinned, sliding his sunglasses back on as if the thought alone excited him. “Do you think we’ll get cool gadgets this time? Maybe one of those rocket-skateboards?”
You snorted, covering your mouth, while Getou rolled his eyes. “We got one last week, Gojo. You nearly crashed it into a tree, remember?”
“I was testing the limits,” Gojo said with mock seriousness, straightening his blazer like a professional stuntman. “You have to understand the tech to master it.”
Yaga cleared his throat, and all eyes snapped back to him. The room fell silent.
“We have a situation,” he began, tapping a button on the podium. Behind him, a digital map of Tokyo appeared, with a series of red dots blinking ominously. "A series of break-ins at high-tech labs across the city. Each one connected to a notorious figure known as Dr. Kanamori."
A picture of Dr. Kanamori flashed on the screen—a woman in a lab coat, with strikingly sharp glasses and a cold, calculating smile. She looked like the type who enjoyed creating evil contraptions for fun.
Yaga’s voice dropped, the tension in the room thickening. “Kanamori has been developing a dangerous device capable of mass disruption. Your mission is to infiltrate her next target, retrieve her plans, and stop her before she activates the device.”
“Breaking into high-tech labs?” Shoko yawned, resting her chin in her hand. “Sounds like a regular Tuesday.”
“Doesn’t sound that bad,” you muttered under your breath, already imagining yourself sneaking around laser grids and dodging security cameras. You’d barely finished your science homework for tomorrow, and now you were going to be breaking into a lab? Typical.
Yaga didn’t seem finished. “Her invention could destabilize entire networks across Tokyo, leading to chaos on a massive scale.” He paused, giving you all a hard stare. “This is no ordinary mission. Be cautious. Kanamori is highly unpredictable.”
“Unpredictable how?” Getou asked, always the one to focus on the details. His voice was calm but firm, and you could sense the gears in his mind already working, analyzing potential strategies.
Yaga raised an eyebrow. “She’s known for trapping her enemies with... let’s say, unconventional security measures.”
Gojo perked up. “Unconventional, like... sharks with lasers?” His voice dripped with excitement, eyes gleaming with curiosity. "Or maybe robot guard dogs that shoot lasers out of their eyes?"
“Gojo, not everything’s about lasers,” you laughed, shaking your head. “Though, knowing our luck...”
“I’m just saying, lasers make everything cooler,” he winked.
Yaga continued, unfazed by Gojo’s antics. “This mission is time-sensitive. You’ll need to infiltrate her lab before dawn tomorrow. The window is tight, and you must retrieve her plans before she can launch the device.”
You could practically feel the pressure settle over you all. No big deal, you thought. Just another world-saving mission between study periods and high school drama.
Yaga pressed another button, and a familiar array of high-tech gadgets appeared on the screen. “You’ll be equipped with the latest spy gear, as usual. Jetpacks disguised as backpacks, laser pens, and, of course—” He turned to Gojo, “—a custom pair of sunglasses with thermal imaging.”
Gojo fist-pumped. “I love it when Yaga gets me.” He grinned, immediately turning to you and Getou to show off. “Thermal imaging! This is next level.”
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t help smiling. “Great. Now you’ll be able to see how hot-headed you actually are.”
Getou chuckled softly beside you, the corner of his mouth twitching up. “I give it ten minutes before he uses it for something completely unnecessary.”
You nodded, suppressing a laugh. “Definitely.”
Yaga, as serious as ever, clicked off the screen. “Get to work. I expect results.”
With that, the lights dimmed, and you knew it was time to suit up. Another mission, another chance to stop a villain from wreaking havoc on the world—just your average day.
You glanced over at Getou as you both stood up, getting ready to head out. He gave you a reassuring look, a quiet, confident smile that said, We’ve got this. And, honestly? With Getou by your side and the rest of your chaotic team, you believed it.
-
Later, the four of you crouched behind a row of bushes, the cool night air brushing against your skin as you stared at the sleek, high-tech building in front of you. The facility was a maze of steel and glass, with security cameras swiveling methodically on the roof. You could feel your heart thudding in your chest, a mix of nerves and anticipation thrumming through your veins—but after years of balancing high school, social life, and saving the world, this kind of adrenaline had become your version of “normal.”
“Are you sure this is the place?” you whispered, glancing at Getou, who was intently focused on the tablet in his hands, the screen casting a faint blue glow across his face. His expression was serious, brows furrowed in concentration as he studied the blueprints.
“This is it,” he said, his voice low but certain, eyes never leaving the screen. His calm demeanor was a grounding force, making you feel a bit more secure in the midst of this wild mission.
You nodded, glancing back toward the building. Just being near Getou made you feel like you could handle anything—whether it was balancing chemistry homework or sneaking into a high-tech lab at midnight. He had this steady presence, like no matter what happened, he’d have your back.
Gojo, however, had other ideas. He was already halfway out of the bushes, adjusting his sunglasses as though he was posing for an action movie poster. His grin was wide, and he seemed completely unbothered by the potential for danger. “Time to make an entrance,” he said, flexing his fingers around the laser pen like it was a weapon of ultimate coolness.
“Gojo, wait—” you hissed, knowing full well that nothing you said would stop him.
Before you could stop him, he was sprinting toward the front door with reckless abandon. The sound of the laser pen cutting through the lock was almost too loud in the silence of the night. You exchanged an exasperated glance with Getou, who merely sighed, giving you that look—the one that said, why do we even bother with him?
You suppressed a smile and followed quickly behind Gojo, with Shoko trailing lazily at the rear. The building was eerily quiet inside, the kind of silence that made your skin prickle. Fluorescent lights reflected off the pristine white floors, and the air was sterile, too clean, as you made your way through the empty hallways.
Shoko yawned from behind you, stretching as if you’d just interrupted her nap. “This mission feels way too easy. Maybe we can get out of here early and grab burgers or something?”
You shot a look at Getou, who was scanning the hallways with the same intensity as ever. He caught your gaze, his eyes narrowing as a frown tugged at his lips. “Agreed. Something’s off.” His voice was barely above a whisper, but the tension was clear. He trusted his instincts, and right now, they were telling him something wasn’t right.
You felt it too—an eerie, unnatural stillness hanging in the air, like the calm before a storm. You leaned in closer to him, your shoulder brushing against his arm, and whispered, “You think it’s a trap?”
Getou glanced down at you, his expression softening for a moment as he met your eyes. “Maybe. Stay close to me.” There was something about the way he said it—protective, quiet, but unwavering—that sent a warmth spreading through your chest.
Just as you turned the corner, a piercing alarm blared, shattering the stillness.
“Well, that didn’t last long,” you muttered under your breath, already feeling the spike of panic creeping in. The shrill sound of the alarm echoed off the walls, growing louder with every passing second.
Gojo, of course, was unphased. He smirked, adjusting his sunglasses again like he was in some action movie you weren’t aware of. “Hey, at least now it’s interesting!” He pulled out a gadget from his pocket with an almost too-casual swagger.
You let out a breathy laugh despite yourself. Trust Gojo to find the fun in total chaos.
But just as quickly, the levity faded as the situation settled in. Red lights flashed in the hallways, casting everything in a sharp, ominous glow. You felt Getou step closer to you, his body tense, alert, ready to act. His hand brushed yours briefly as he checked the blueprint again on his tablet, and for a second, the noise and the flashing lights faded into the background.
"Stick to the plan," Getou said softly, his eyes locking with yours, a look of reassurance in them. “We can get through this. Together.”
You nodded, feeling your pulse quicken, but something about his calmness helped you focus. Even when things were spiraling out of control, Getou always managed to stay grounded. And as chaotic as everything always seemed to get, you knew that, with him by your side, you could manage.
The alarm was blaring louder now, footsteps approaching rapidly down the hall. Shoko groaned, pulling out a compact mirror that you knew was more than just a mirror. “Great. I’m never going to finish that biology report at this rate.”
“Seriously?” Gojo called over the noise, as he fiddled with his gadgets, clearly ready to take on whatever storm was coming. “This is way better than a report.”
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t help smiling. Chaos or not, this was what your life had become—and honestly, there was nowhere else you’d rather be. As long as you had this team, and Getou’s quiet but steadfast support, you knew you could face whatever craziness came your way.
-
After a chaotic escape involving dodging laser grids, narrowly avoiding guard patrols, and watching Shoko hack into the mainframe like it was nothing more than homework, the four of you somehow managed to make it back to school just in time for first period. Your uniforms were slightly rumpled, and there was still a faint buzz of adrenaline in the air, but walking through the school gates was like crossing into a completely different world.
Inside the classroom, everything was calm—too calm, considering the chaos you’d just left behind. Your classmates were chatting, flipping through textbooks, utterly unaware of how close you’d come to disaster before sunrise. You quickly slipped into your seat, trying to ignore the nagging thought that the mission wasn’t finished yet.
You exchanged a look with Getou, who sat beside you, his usually composed expression troubled just beneath the surface. His fingers drummed lightly against his notebook, the tension clear in his body despite the laid-back atmosphere of the classroom.
The bell rang, and your teacher, Mr. Takahashi, entered the room, his arms loaded with books as usual. “Alright, everyone,” he said in his usual monotone, oblivious to the world-saving students seated in his class. “Open your textbooks to chapter five. Today, we’re covering logarithms.”
The word logarithms felt like a slap, snapping you out of spy mode and pulling you back into the everyday mundanity of high school life. You tried to focus, but your mind kept drifting back to the mission—the empty lab, the eerie silence, and the gnawing feeling that something had been wrong.
Leaning slightly toward Getou, you whispered, “We didn’t find anything... What do you think that means?”
Getou’s brow furrowed as he scribbled something aimlessly in the margins of his notebook. “I don’t know. It feels like we missed something important. Labs like that don’t just stay empty.” His voice was low, cautious, as if speaking too loud would break the delicate balance between your two lives.
Behind you, Gojo stretched in his seat, his sunglasses sliding down his nose as he leaned forward. “Maybe we did miss something. Or maybe Dr. Kanamori’s just messing with us. Gotta keep the suspense going, you know?”
You sighed. “I don’t like it. We were supposed to stop her plan, but... we have no clue what it even is.”
Gojo grinned, ever the optimist. “Come on, we’ll figure it out. Yaga wouldn’t send us back empty-handed. Besides, it was just a recon mission, right? Next time we’ll get her.”
Shoko, seated a few rows over, barely looked up from her notebook. “Unless next time, she’s ten steps ahead of us. It wouldn’t be the first time we’ve been outplayed.”
You couldn’t help but feel a wave of unease settle over you. Shoko wasn’t wrong. For all the chaos of the mission, you had left without any leads, no idea where Dr. Kanamori’s next move would be. The quiet in that lab had felt... wrong. Like a trap just waiting to spring.
Mr. Takahashi’s voice droned on in the background, the scratching of chalk on the board doing nothing to ease the tension coiling inside you. You glanced over at Getou again, noticing how his jaw was set, his mind clearly still turning over the details of the mission, much like yours.
Suddenly, Gojo leaned even closer, whispering conspiratorially. “Bet you anything Yaga’s already cooking up our next move. Probably waiting for the perfect time to yank us out of here—maybe during gym class.”
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t help but smile. “That would be the worst timing.”
“Or the best,” Gojo shot back, his grin widening. “Imagine it: we’re in the middle of dodgeball, and boom, we’re off saving the world again. Beats logarithms any day.”
You shook your head, but Gojo’s ability to brush off the mission’s failure so easily was comforting in a weird way. Still, you knew better. You could feel the unfinished business gnawing at the back of your mind, and from the look on Getou’s face, he felt it too.
Shoko let out a long yawn, resting her head on her hand. “If Kanamori really is ahead of us, we should be worrying about what’s next instead of this.” She gestured vaguely at the chalkboard, where Mr. Takahashi was outlining a complicated equation.
You gave a half-nod in her direction, feeling that same restlessness. “We barely even know what we’re up against.”
“Exactly,” Getou murmured, his eyes flicking toward you, his voice quiet but thoughtful. “The next move’s hers.”
The words hung in the air, heavy with implication. You opened your textbook, pretending to focus on the lesson, but your thoughts kept drifting back to the mission. As normal as school life was supposed to be, there was no escaping the sense of urgency that followed you from W.O.O.P. missions. It was like living two lives, each one bleeding into the other, never quite separate.
You stole another glance at Getou, who was now deep in thought, his hand absently tapping his pencil against the desk. His calm, steady presence usually grounded you, but today, you could see the concern etched in his features. He felt it too—the storm that was coming.
Gojo’s voice broke the tension, as he leaned back with a lazy grin. “Let’s just hope Yaga doesn’t call us in during lunch. I’m starving.”
You snorted, shaking your head. “Priorities, Gojo.”
“Always,” he winked, then added, “But seriously, it’s not over yet. Kanamori’s planning something big. I can feel it.”
Shoko gave a half-hearted wave in his direction. “Let’s just hope we’re ready when it happens.”
As the class dragged on, the mission weighed heavy on your mind. It wasn’t over, not by a long shot. And as much as you tried to focus on logarithms and classroom banter, you knew that soon enough, Yaga would be calling on you again, and the stakes would only get higher.
As the class dragged on, the mission weighed heavy on your mind. It wasn’t over, not by a long shot. And as much as you tried to focus on logarithms and classroom banter, you knew that soon enough, Yaga would be calling on you again, and the stakes would only get higher.
Time seemed to crawl as the teacher droned on, your thoughts slipping back to the chaos of the night before. You couldn’t shake the feeling that the calm surrounding you was just an illusion. The bell finally rang, breaking your train of thought, and students erupted into the hall, eager to escape the confines of the classroom.
You stood up, stretching, when your phone buzzed in your pocket. Glancing around to make sure no one was watching, you pulled it out, heart racing. The screen lit up with a message from an unknown number.
Kanamori: “Did you enjoy your little field trip? Hope you took notes. The real lesson starts now. You’re not as clever as you think.”
Your stomach dropped, the mockery in her words echoing in your mind. Shoko leaned over, peering at your phone. “What is it?”
“Kanamori,” you replied, your voice barely above a whisper. “She’s taunting us.”
Getou, overhearing, stepped closer, his face hardening. “We need to get back to the safe house and figure out our next move—fast. She’s making her move, and we need to be ready.”
Just then, a loud crash echoed from the hallway, snapping your attention back to the chaos unfolding outside. A few students gasped, and you exchanged a glance with Shoko and Getou. The adrenaline kicked in again, and you felt a chill race down your spine.
“Let’s go,” you urged, pushing through the throng of students, anxiety mounting as you headed toward the source of the noise. The mocking tone of Kanamori’s text rang in your ears, the feeling of being hunted sending you into overdrive.
As you reached the exit, you couldn’t shake the feeling that you were walking right into her trap, and the realization sent a shiver down your spine.
The world outside was darkening, the sky a deepening shade of gray. A storm was brewing, and Kanamori was at the center of it.

Event: Pregame?
Tumblr media
As your muse(s) were with your neko companion(s), you came across a confusing sight: a group of sixteen nekos that looked just like your favorite neko and their friends being harassed by a group of passersby, but wearing different clothing. The three mainly being harassed were a boy with a hat and blue tie, a boy with purple eyes, and a blonde girl with pink eyes. All three of them appeared immediately distressed, with the two boys becoming fearful and the girl becoming agitated and aggressive.
Do you step in?
(( Feel free to ignore, interact if not tagged, or ask for your tag to be removed! Mods that play Kokichi or Kotoko on ANY blog in ANY capacity DNI!!! ))

Oumota Monsters au
I have a tag now #Drv3 Monsters
i thinkkk im gonna make kaito a vampire might change eventually bc uhm im like hella indecisive
IF ANYONE HAS OPINIONS PUT IT IN TAGS PLZ PLZ PLZ
anyways i wanted to talk specifically about oumota in this post bc uhm there down bad for eachother
my main inspiration for this was the song Ghosting by mother mother (also i think its worth noting @lampochkaart also helped inspire this au with some art they made ty ty ty)
so i wanted a big premise of there realationship to be Kokichi Haunting Kaito
and bc im a hurt/comfert enjoyer i love it dearly<3 i think how they get together should be very hurt/comfort vibes ya know
like kaito gets fed up and wants kokichi out and kokichi whos down bad but has horrible coaping mechanisms(pushing everyone he loves away[WICH BTW I WANT TO INCLUDE IN HIS DEATH]) is like OKAY BRO I DONT NEED U
but a ghost without anyone to haunt is like
not great
and kaito straifht up doesnt realize hes down bad for kokichi is like fuck man
they have a depression arc where they both are like shit im in love but refuse to make rhe first move
and idk how they find eachother again but they do
and i think kaito would be the one to say it because he genuinely hates tip toeing around eachother OR OR OR kokichi would say he loves him in a fit of rage/just tired of keeping up his masks(cas he thought once he died it was done he would be free but nooooooooo he lives on as a ghost)
and then its all comfort from there babes
i think maki would be very against there realatjonship and shuichi at first would be indifferent(kokichi orginallly haunted shuichi and i think in this au haunting someone would kinda mean something) but in general shuichi doesnt have a problem with it
kokichis main friends(miu and rantaro) dont mind at all he also has ties to kirumi(mom) and gonta neither of which care(nore are told emiditly)
i dont think being monsters changes there dynamic to much there like the lovingly bickering and then look at eachother like the other is littarly everything in the world <3
its a bit of a slow burn bc there both idiots and dont know how to do feelings
and none of there friends are super into playing march maker(except probably miu)
ALSO maybe adding rantaro into the mix at some point
im not aure but if i did it totally be less angsty
rantaro has his feelings in check okay atlest romanticly
he doesnt really have to much experience but that doesnt mean hes a complete idiot who doesnt know how to communicate
i think kaito and kokichi would both be looking at rantaro being like shit hes hot and i want to make a deep emotional conection with him but how do i tell my idiot bf that AND THEN tell rantaro that
abd rantaros just like
yo am i aloud to join or what
BOOM POLYAMOROUS FOR THE WIN
thats how i imagine it going down
honestly them being monsters again doesnt change the dynamic
dw tho there will be angst in other parts of there not-lives
i just wanted to talk about my gay ppl
AND DONT WORRY THERE WILL BE OTHER SHIPS
including Tenko x angie x himiko kaemaki (possible kaemakiiruma or whatever) some tsumugi x kaede(its complicated) so yaya gay ppl are tots winning
