“And, anyway,” Clark continues, fumbling with the stack of papers in his hands. “I really don’t think it’s a good idea to meet him alone. Someone should come with you. Just for safety, you know? You can never be too careful.”
You raise an eyebrow. “It’s a date, Clark. Not some shady source for a story. You’re acting like I’m meeting a criminal kingpin.”
He frowns, pushing his glasses back up his nose in a familiar gesture you’ve seen him do a hundred times. “That’s not what I meant at all. I’m just saying, you don’t know this guy. He could be anyone. He could be an axe murderer, for all we know.”
It’s only the worried crease between his brow and the genuine concern you see in his eyes that keep you from laughing at how seriously he’s taking this.
“He’s friends with Jimmy,” you remind him, giving his very firm, muscly shoulder a reassuring squeeze.
“How well does Jimmy actually know this guy?” Clark questions. “Are they actual friends, or more like ‘a friend of a friend’ kind of situation?”
“I think they play pickleball together?” you say, though you can’t fully remember. Jimmy tended to ramble a lot and well, truth be told, sometimes you tuned him out. “Or maybe it was D&D? I’m not sure which one it is, but he’s definitely not some random weirdo. Just a nerd.”
“I should talk to Jimmy,” Clark says with a nod like he hasn’t even heard you.
Before he can walk past, you stop him with a firm hand on his chest, your fingertips grazing the crisp, starchy white shirt he’s wearing.
“Wait a minute. What’s going on?” You question.
Clark may have had the reputation of the office big brother, always looking out for everyone, but this was something else. It felt different. It felt like he liked you.
No.
That couldn’t be right. He was so wildly out of your league and that thought sounded insane, even to your own ears. But as you study his face, you catch the way his eyes flick away from yours for just a beat too long, the briefest hesitation, and how his hand tightens around the stack of papers, his knuckles whitening.
“Are you jealous?” The words slip out before you can stop them. You wince, wishing you could swallow them back up when you see the tips of Clark’s ears turn red. He opens his mouth, then closes it, before tugging on his collar.
“Oh,” you whisper.
“Is that a good oh?” Clark asks you, looking almost nervous.
“Oh,” you say again like an idiot as your brain tries to catch up with the sharp left turn this conversation has taken. Clark Kent liked you. Like actually liked you.
"I do," Clark murmurs, and it takes a second to realize you must have said that last part out loud.
“Well, I should probably cancel that date then,” you tell him.
“And I should probably ask you out,” he replies, glancing around the bullpen before stepping closer.
“Yeah,” you agree, getting a little lost in how blue his eyes are.
“Will you -”
“Yes,” you interrupt.
He laughs and you grin.
Send me a request

𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 — ᡣ𐭩
genre: smut MDNI 18+ content below cut
pairing: yunho x you
word count: ~1.6k
warnings: brat tamer!yunho, unprotected sex (don’t), cumming inside, fingering, orgasm control, orgasm denial, tiny bit of dacryphilia, yunho is kinda harsh but there is a little bit of sweet aftercare :3, i think that’s it! no proofread
synopsis: after you had been teasing and tempting yunho all day throughout practice and while he was gaming, he finally snapped, giving you a rough fucking to put you in your place.
note: 1 more request done, 8 more to go 🫠 i enjoyed writing this one tho! pretty happy with how it came out! ^^ hope everyone likes it! reblogs and interactions appreciated <3
your hands felt clammy as you pushed open the front door after dance practice. you'd spent hours moving in sync with one another, your body glistening with sweat under the studio lights. next to you, yunho stood there, his eyes hungrily devouring every inch of you in your tight fitted clothes.
he didn't say a word, just watched as you both made your way inside. yunho headed straight for the living room, plopping down on the couch and picking up his game controller like nothing had happened.
you sauntered over to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water, feeling his gaze burn into your back. you knew you were driving him wild, and you relished in it.
after downing half the bottle in one go, you joined him on the couch, sitting close enough to feel the heat radiating off his muscular frame. his fingers flew over the buttons on the controller, focused on his game... or at least, that's what he wanted you to think.
you couldn't resist leaning into him, feeling his strong arm wrap around you as you did so. you nestled your head under his chin, the rapid beat of his heart against your cheek sending a thrill through you. you teased lightly, running a finger down his chest, knowing just how to get under his skin.
"is your game more interesting than me?" you asked in a playfully innocent tone, knowing full well it was pushing his buttons.
his grip on you tightened, but still he didn't look away from the screen. he set his jaw, eyes narrowed as he tried to ignore you.
"like watching pixels better than seeing how pretty you look all red and flustered?" you taunted, your fingers tracing circles on his thigh.
that did it. in one swift motion, he turned off the console and tossed the controller aside before he pinned you down into the cushions of the couch. his breath fanned hot against your neck as he held you there, face twisted into a mix of desire and frustration.
"brat," he growled, voice low and dangerous.
you arched under him, feeling the weight of his body pinning you down. it sent shivers down your spine. you gazed up at him through half-lidded eyes. "i'm just teasing," you purred, your words barely audible.
"say it again."
his grip on your wrists tightened as he leaned closer, his hot breath against your lips sending tingles through you. "You're being a brat."
your heart pounded wildly in your chest at his words. finally, he was giving you the attention you craved.
"what are you gonna do about it?" you shot back boldly, unable to resist pushing further.
with that, his free hand shot up and yanked your shirt over your head, buttons popping off in his haste. he didn't seem to care - the fire in his eyes only burned hotter.
he didn't waste time removing the rest of your clothes, tearing them off you roughly as he claimed your mouth in a brutal kiss. his tongue pushed past your lips, dominating you completely. you gasped against his mouth, overwhelmed by the intensity of his passion.
his large hands roamed your newly exposed skin possessively, leaving red marks that would surely bloom into beautiful bruises later. the pain mingled exquisitely with the pleasure building within you.
"mine," he grumbled possessively, his fingers finding your sensitive bud and rubbing circles that bordered on too much but felt so good.
he pulled back from your lip-swollen mouth, his own lips twisted into a wicked grin. his hands left your body briefly only to rip your last piece of clothing away. you whimpered at the sensation, your body trembling.
in one swift motion, he spread your legs wide, settling between them as his hot gaze raked over every inch of your exposed form. his fingers trailed down your inner thighs, sending electric sparks through you.
"This what you wanted?" he bit out, his own breathing heavy and ragged now. without waiting for a response, his thick digit pushed into your slick heat, causing you to cry out at the sudden intrusion. he pumped slowly but deliberately, watching your reactions.
his rough treatment heightened every sensation, every nerve ending singing under his merciless touch. you knew he wasn't playing nice anymore.
your back arched off the couch as you felt him add another finger, stretching you wider, preparing you for what was to come. tears pricked your eyes from the intensity, but it only served to drive you further into ecstasy.
"please..." you managed to choke out, the sensation overwhelming.
he chuckled darkly at your plea. his fingers curled inside you in that spot that made your vision spark. "please what? ask nicely."
your bottom lip trembled as you tried again, your pride fighting against the needy words bubbling up. "p-please Yunho..."
at your words, he withdrew his fingers, leaving you feeling empty and aching. you let out a frustrated whine, body shuddering as you craved release.
instead, you felt something larger and hot against your entrance. he held you firmly by the thighs, teasing you with just the tip. "you've been so good taking my fingers. now, you'll take the rest of me."
with a single powerful thrust he buried himself deep inside you, stretching you beyond anything you'd experienced before. your scream echoed through the room, a mix of pain and rapturous sensation.
he didn't pause, immediately setting a brutal pace, angling to strike that sweet spot again and again. tears streamed down your face, lips parted in a wordless cry.
"there it is, so pretty when you cry for me," he purred, voice hoarse with exertion and satisfaction at your tears. he gripped your hips harder, driving into you relentlessly.
the overwhelming sensation was too much, your body overwhelmed by each punishing snap of his hips. every fiber of your being focused on the intense fullness, the friction igniting white-hot flames of pleasure-pain.
your nails raked down his back leaving angry red trails, a primal sound ripping from your chest. still he didn't soften, seemingly driven wild by your reactions.
"yes, that's right. take all of me," he grunted, his words punctuating each jarring thrust. he reached down to rub your soaked, sensitive clit, determined to push you beyond your limits.
your vision blurred with the intensity, the buildup of sensation threatening to topple you over the edge against your will. your body arched and spasmed beneath him, right on the precipice.
“don't you dare cum yet."
his command hung in the air like a threat, his movements becoming even more brutal as he fought back your release. your muscles quaked, your body betraying you with each pounding impact.
he leaned in close, his hot mouth finding the tender skin where your neck met your shoulder, biting down hard enough to leave a dark mark. the mingled sting and dominance of his bite sent fresh waves of sensation crashing through you.
he shifted angle again, striking deep inside, the new sensation sending new tears spilling forth. you claw at his broad back, the pleasure-agony exquisite agony.
"you're close aren't you?" he growled low, voice dripping with promise and control.
you were unraveling under his relentless onslaught, your words spilling out in a desperate plea.
"yunho...please...i can't..." the strain of denial was exquisite torture.
he chuckled darkly, his fingers digging harshly into your hips. "can't what?" he taunted, his rhythm becoming almost cruel now. "Say it."
the building pressure inside you was a searing ache, your body tightening around him defiantly despite his demand. every nerve ending screamed for release.
your pleas turned to incoherent whimpers as you felt your resolve crumbling. you felt the hot coil deep within your core ready to snap.
"please, please, please..." you chanted like a mantra, surrendering completely to the overwhelming sensations. your back bowed dramatically off the couch as wave after wave threatened to crest.
"go on then," he goaded, voice thick with desire, "let it go. let me feel it."
as he spoke, he surged forward one last time, the friction unbearable. your body shattered, shuddering violently beneath him as the waves finally broke over you. stars burst behind your eyes, the intensity stealing your breath away.
your release pulsed hot and wet around him, sending him over the edge soon after. he followed you down, chasing his own climax with a few more urgent thrusts before burying himself to the hilt, spilling everything deep inside.
he collapsed atop you, both of you panting hard, bodies slick with sheen of sweat. his weight felt comforting now, anchoring you back to reality after pushing you to such intense heights. arms wrapped around you tenderly despite the roughness that preceded it.
gently, he lifted your face to meet his for a deep, slow kiss - a stark contrast to the fervor just moments ago. as he pulled back, his eyes were soft yet smoldering.
as you came down from your high, you felt his hands gently caressing your flushed skin, soothing the marks he'd left on you. he trailed light kisses down your neck and shoulder, murmuring sweet nothings that made your heart swell.
"you did so well...are you alright?" his voice held true concern mingled with satisfaction. he lifted himself up just enough to look you fully in the eyes, cradling your face.
you nodded, breathless, still sensitive and overwhelmed. his thumb tenderly wiped away your tears, his gaze searching yours. he seemed to see beyond the physical connection they just shared, into your very soul.
in that moment, despite the roughness, despite him pushing you past your limits, you felt a deep intimacy and trust between you. it was more than just bodies joining, it was the truest form of vulnerability, laid bare without apology or shield. you knew this was where you were meant to be - with him, like this. his slow, warm smile said he knew it too as he lowered himself once more, enveloping you fully in his embrace, the aftershocks still coursing through you both.

hello! I'm the one that sent you that ask a week or so ago. Sorry I didn't check to see if you'd answered for a while because I was just so upset and had to take a second. I will say I scrolled through a bunch of helpful posts you reblogged before I even found the ask again that helped a LOT.
Two things I thought you might want to know is that it wasn't speculation that you'd blocked the weirdo blog that sent me your way: they literally have "proudly blocked by doberbutts" in their bio which was why i felt safe coming to you lmao. Second is I guess my struggle with this issue was an overall struggle with how bad wider misogyny has gotten in general and how muddied it's gotten with the "male loneliness crisis" and like, centering men's issues under patriarchy and just how insanely upset it's been making me. Seeing cis MRAs identify with trans men freaked me out because like, yeah it's important to talk about how (cis) men suffer under patriarchy but it's just so rare for me to find men do that without devolving into misogyny, and I start to feel so helpless because I know validating these issues matter but women are being literally dehumanized openly. I do play oppression olympics with this specific issue and just of COURSE women suffer more under patriarchy, but the same men who demand space to air how they suffer won't acknowledge that truth. (sorry for soapboxing; some of them do! It's just...things are so bad for women rn lol it's really hard to have compassion when it feels like none is being given to me).
So the more I see this issue the more I think people are being affected by larger misogyny like I am, but are doing the typical thing that happens where you lash out at a group you can "reach." Policing and harassing trans men's behaviours is way easier than cis men. I've also been seeing some parallels between this discourse and the "gay men vs lesbian women" discourse. It's not really a one-to-one but the discussion of the role of misogyny re homophobia towards gay men who still have male privilege but, come on, if they have feminine affectation it's Different and the back and forth that used to happen when gay men and lesbian women did oppression olympics, it just feels similar.
idk as i type this I hope I don't come across disingenuous or like, my Too Casual Overly Respectful tone is trying to subtly incept you. I worry my vibes are too "women first" but I just can't help it misogyny really is ruining my life 😭. Anyways I'm very grateful for your perspective and your blog. I feel more settled and equipped to push back against anti transmasculine behaviour with rhetoric that can actually challenge people
To respond to each point in turn:
1: Again I still don't really know who that is, though I am somewhat bemused by the idea that someone I clearly don't really remember is still so obsessed with me that they're proud I've blocked them. For the record, my block list is as follows: people who send anonymous hate, people who continue to harass me after I've told them to stop, people I catch with posts containing inexcusable bigotry, obvious trolls, self-identified zoophiles and MAPs, and people who repeatedly send me fundraisers after I have already said I only share fundraisers from people I know and trust. Being on my block list is, um, not really good company, so it's kind of funny to me that someone is proud to be there. Yeah I'm sure they'll fit right in with the neo-nazis and dogfuckers and cyber bullies. Oh and I guess my ex but I only blocked them after they started harassing me about our failed relationship years later. Enjoy block hell I suppose.
2: I'm not really here to play who has it worse, not because I don't recognize the wider understanding of privilege vs oppression but because I think it is a self-defeating thread of thought because you will always find a "more oppressed" example, and I think that people should be allowed to talk about their hurts regardless of their status of "more oppressed" vs "less oppressed". Talking about the ways society has hurt them is not what makes MRAs dangerous. What makes them dangerous is who they blame, how they go about fixing their problem, and the solutions to their problems they come up with.
To be quite frank, the majority of MRAs are men who have experienced some form of social rejection or isolation. Most have been sold some patriarchal lie about how by being men they inherently deserve good sex with hot women on demand, a wife at home to keep barefoot and pregnant, a high paying job where they are respected and valued regardless of the effort they themselves put into it, and all the luxuries that lifestyle can afford. This is a fantasy, you and I both know it. And when these men realize the hard reality that we live in an age of extreme social isolation, that in order to have a partner you need to actually have more personality than a used dishrag and with only half the mess at max, that good sex is about give and take and not just yourself, that these high paying jobs are few and far between with most takers being born into some level of wealth rather than any merit they themselves have earned... they lash out.
It does not at all help things to understand that many of these MRAs are themselves marginalized in some way, but their framework not only doesn't let them see it but also advocates a harsh rejection of anyone who is self-aware enough to realize it. A lot of these guys are undiagnosed, have trauma, and are just as affected by the systems of racism, classism, homo- and trans-phobia, xenophobia, sexism, and ableism as the rest of us.
Quite frankly, I'd rather these dudes see a group of (trans) men fighting for our place in society by joining hands with other activists with more feminist, black-friendly, disabled-friendly, gay- and trans-friendly in an attempt to lift everyone out of the pit rather than continuing to fight over scraps... than to see them continue to blame women and Jews and then go shoot up a school or a mall about it. One of these helps. The other just kills people and excuses rape. There's a lot of value in deradicalizing people by offering them a path to resolving their pain that is perhaps less destructive and more constructive.
This is also why the constant comparison to MRAs annoys me. MRAs kill people in senseless acts of terror and despair because they're upset that they're not having the sex fantasy the patriarchy sold them. Trans men talking about our oppression- regardless of the word we use to express it- are mostly talking amongst ourselves about suicide and rape statistics and sharing ways to get hormones and surgery despite unwilling doctors and insurance companies. We're talking about how our social groups rejected us the moment we came out, or how people use us being men against us in ways that was not happening before we came out or passed. These are not at all equivalent conversations.
3: Again I ask you- I see people using both cis and trans feminist frameworks to hurt other people. Where is your concern for that? I am equally concerned about TERFs as I am about MRAs, as they have driven multiple transgender people and our allies to suicide and even have committed acts of violence against people irl as a result of their ideology. Most TERFs will also be the first ones to tell you that they have been hurt, deeply, by men and that they also are frequently undiagnosed or untreated, traumatized, and affected by the same systems of oppression. Does their existence and their determination to latch onto every feminist conversation including those of people who are staunchly against them then poison all feminism to you? If not, then why make that distinction for trans men and MRAs?
I am black. I am Indigenous. I am transgender. I am gay. I am disabled. I am poor. I suffer. People hurt me. I see every day how bad things are. Do you think I cannot see it, or that my ignorance is the reason for my request for compassion? Perhaps consider that it is rather my knowledge and my lived experience that fuel my call for compassion, instead. I never said it would be easy. But I do think it would make a better world.
4: I do actually agree that it is very similar to the gay man vs lesbian conversation and have said for a while that it's the same queer infighting discussion we've already hashed out for the last 50 or so years, but the target groups just swapped out. It's just butchphobia, it's just biphobia, it's just aphobia, it's just panphobia, it's just nbphobia- it's the same fucking shit over and over and over again. It was shit infighting before and it's shit infighting now. Privilege is a conversation that depends so heavily on context, and the way it has been bastardized by the internet's poor understanding of political frameworks developed by women of color and their allies into cute soundbites and phrases rather than a deep, nuanced knowledge will never fail to annoy me.
Do gay men have privilege over lesbians? As a class, sure, they would have male privilege. But what do we mean by male privilege? The privilege to not worry about being assaulted on the street? To walk home late at night unbothered? To marry who they want, to have the romantic partner they desire, to feel safe within a domestic partnership? You and I both know that doesn't quite match up to the lived experience of gay men worldwide or even here in the "gay paradise" US. How does this interact with other marginalizations? Does a black gay man have privilege over a white lesbian? What happens if he's a drag queen dressed up for an event and she's a butch that passes for cis male? Does that change retroactively if this "gay man" figures out she's actually a transbian 5 years later, and the lesbian is a TERF? I'm not saying this breaks the framework of male privilege- I am saying that sometimes the theory doesn't match the reality, and a nuanced and intersectional understanding is required when talking on an individual scope rather than class politics.
Additionally- as a side note- it is also incredibly annoying to watch people act like privilege = oppressor = dangerous, and oppressed = victim = safe. Privilege, and whether or not you have any, is not a moral indicator nor is it an indicator of the safety of the person you're interacting with. I have privilege over people who cannot walk, because I can. I am not objectively or systemically oppressing people who cannot walk by the use of my legs in my day-to-day life. Oppression is action- if I vote for policies and politicians that removes ramps and safety regulations and provisions to assist wheelchair users? Now I am oppressing people who cannot walk. If I block or move or interfere with the disability aids, if I mock people or assault or harm them, if I dump them out of their mobility aids or break them, that is oppression. The act of climbing the 3 stairs on my front porch to get into my house is a privilege, but the oppression stems from the people who built my house to even have stairs on both exits.
5: lastly to end a very long post, I don't actually think there's any harm in centering yourself when discussing things that objectively affect you, as long as you remember to include others who are affected and let them have their floor to also center themselves when they need to speak up. I am a black trans man. My politics are pretty centered on black feminism. I don't think that is objectively a bad thing. I prefer to let the demographics with similar problems speak for themselves- I would rather my trans fem friends get the mic when they open their mouths, my lesbian friends, my Jewish friends, my latino and asian and arab friends. I don't think there's anything wrong with them centering their own problems and outlooks, as long as they recognize that there's shared space to be had with others who feel similar hurts. I think it's pretty normal to center yourself. I think the difficult thing is knowing when to relinquish the megaphone to someone who's been dying to use it, while you yourself still have so much to say.

Found your art through the STP Reddit and now I have a new TSPUD artist to enjoy!!! Your style is gorgeous :)
Reddit 🤨❔
I don’t have reddit
*sounds of paws tapping on the keyboard*
Aha repost with no permission I see? 🔍🐻❄️👓
This ask actually send me on a mini research lmao
I didn’t expect to see like 4 posts on Reddit with ppl posting my comics/sending a screenshot from ?Pinterest? and asking who the author is
That made me chuckle :'D
To be clear, I don’t really mind reposts if a person credits me
Always appreciate ppl askin permission 👍
For the reference: Reblog - a button that looks like this 🔄, shares a post on your page while showing the original author; Repost - when you screenshot/save someone’s art and post it on your page (ideally with credit, but if you’re a meanie you will just post images with no word about og author); Credit - a reference to the author «this art was made by [@author] on [this social media]». Sometimes see ppl mixing up terms 🫡
(Most of the time creators dislike reposts, bc it often leads to art theft)
Since we’re on the topic, specifically what I do have a problem with:
- Don’t use my art for AI training or for NFTs
- Don’t profit off my art (no merch is allowed without my approval, if you want to use my art for commercial purposes, this must be discussed with me in advance)
- Don't pass off my work as your own (here does reposting my art without credit, creating blogs/accounts impersonating me and so on)
- Don’t use my personal projects (this applies to my ocs, any original IPs/content I create: picture books, comics, artbooks, megadrawings etc. At some point in the future I may register a legal copyright for them btw.)
I’m more flexible and forgiving with fandom art, but still would appreciate ppl communicating with me. Fandom comic dubs - are welcomed, just be sure to credit me (tag me and share the final dub too man, I’m always interested). Fandom comic translations - ask permission first please.
This list is a pretty standard for any artist really, if you’re doubting something - feel free to ask 👍
If you see somebody breaking those/potentially breaking those - feel free to notify me 👍
I considered creating “blog rules” or “list of boundaries”, but I’m not sure if it’ll work on my blog 🤔 My header is pretty oversaturated as it is - portfolio, tags, navigation and so on; if I add rules to the pile, something tells me ppl won’t even look at it 💥 + I didn’t have specific issues with anyone yet (as far as I’m aware), I might create a list if something happens, but stayin hopeful for now
There’s certain things that do make me very uncomfortable/are triggering to me. But again didn’t have any specific issues where it was a huge problem + those stuff are highly personal to me to just put publicly. For now, I prefer to resolve issues personally, there wasn’t anything I couldn’t handle at this point 🫡 Mayhaps in the future it may change, we’ll see
Also some might have noticed that I don’t use any watermarks/signatures on my art, again considered that, but never ended up implementing that 🐻❄️ Some part of me just likes lookin at pictures in full HD quality with no watermark 😭 (I have an art signature, but I mostly use it in my mega drawings or if someone specifically asked for a commission lmao)
Sorry for a wall of text on such a sweet ask 💥 Just saw an opportunity to talk and took it lmao
Thank you, I really appreciate your words ❤️💕
Made a doödle of the narrator bois for the old time sake :D
Surprisingly there is a bunch of reposts of my art, with is a bit wild to me (you guys actually like my comics? 🤨 what? 🤨)
Especially never imagined my voices x princesses would get so popular 💥
Oh I see you went under read-more
Come closer
Closer
Just a smol step more
I forgot to draw Smitten’s brows in this specific frame
Now you will never unsee it 😈😈😈
*tiny mischievous bear giggling*

Pity the Children: Ch. 1
A Fragment. What do you get when you cross a grungy neo-noir sci fi with the gay agenda and a truckload of trauma? Mostly, this. Enjoy!
Jon sat in the Nite Owl diner and considered throwing himself off the wagon. His empty stomach chewed on itself, but it was a distant thing. He hadn’t been himself for a while. Stubble burned his palm when he rubbed at his chapped mouth, and his shaggy black hair hung in limp curls across his brow. His dark eyes burned from lack of sleep, and his skin—a freckled, burnished bronze on his best days—was wan and dry. He needed a hot shower, ten hours of sleep, and a fresh tub of shea butter. Even the synthetic stuff would be better than nothing. He had a bad idea and a flask. It was heavy as a dying star in his palm, cut in blue and violet from the neon sign shining out front. Anniversaries were always hard. Another one of his loomed, dragging itself closer with every hour. With it came the same old gang: dread and grief and remembrance. The cold, helpless anger that stuck in his windpipe like a knife. Guilt. Always, always guilt. Years ago, before this planet was terraformed and the many-Ringed city of Centralia and her mines were dug deep into its crust, before the scattered Generation ships touched down at all, before ice and fire swallowed the first Earth, Jon’s ancestors were Catholics in Mexico City. Santa María, Madre de Dios, ruega por nosotros pecadores, ahora y en la hora de nuestra muerte. Amén. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Passed down from parent to child in a language people rarely spoke anymore. These days English was the new Standard. “English has always been the standard,” Jon’s Abuelita had told him once, before the air rotted her lungs and they’d had to burn her. “Al diablo con eso, nieto.” To Hell with that, she’d declared, time and again. She’d taught them Español along with God, same as her mother before her, and didn’t give a lick whether or not the government approved. Maybe that was where the guilt came from. Maybe his grandmother had planted that seed good and deep, when Jon was still young enough to sprout it. Or maybe you’ve just got a lot to be sorry for, Jonny. Do you even remember Tommy’s voice? That was Roan’s gravelled rasp in his ear making him flinch, though the man was three years dead. Dead, and the only one who’d ever called him that. Guilty and ghost-ridden, that was Jonny Wilde. With the flask still in his hand, standing at the crossroads and waiting for the devil. Three years alone, one year sober. Fourteen years a failure. Lord, anniversaries were hard. His fiancée, his best friend, and at the root of it all— He derailed that train of thought. Some graves were best left untouched. Christ, Mother Mary, turn your eyes away. I’m a sorry sight tonight. His throat was parched. Bone dry. His thumb worked at the cap of his flask with a soft metallic scraping— A mug thumped down onto the table, and coffee splashed down into it.

in lieu of having posted any writing/headcanons/asks in the past few days because i have been *so* busy and unable to do anything fandom-related which is terrible and evil, i have a poll out of morbid curiosity and self-indulgence. i've been meaning to ramble here about how i feel about DC's lack fo Deaf representation and which Batfam members i would personally make Deaf, but i am mildly curious about the larger opinion and now i will subject you all to the question, i would love to hear thoughts/opinions/headcanons on any specific choices. (would love d/Deaf/HoH opinions esp but i'm mostly expecting this to reach the hearing crowd, so opinions from hearing ppl are ones i'm very curious about. if you've never given it thought before you are going to now or else /lh)
#necrotic nuisance#<- new tag for nonserious shit like this#batfamily#batclan#deafculture#i think not including bruce in this poll bc i ran out of options is *so* fucking funny so i'm keeping it#bc realistically i could bump off more tertiary characters like harper or jpv to include him#but i won't.#hearing people are seriously invited to reblog and share opinions or headcanons i'm so genuine#just like. behave about it.#i have personal headcanons but i will save sharing them until the poll is finished#as not to skew results#i also have a hunch on who will lead. based on popular headcanons i see#but i will also not share that as to not skew it#i'm using the Deaf identity as an umbrella term that can include Hard of Hearing as well btw#so if your headcanon is more HoH leaning it is counted#i do believe this is something most fans haven't rlly thought about#but i *really* want to write fics with Deaf rep and i have been waffling on who to make Deaf#so. this poll is also a field test of who you would like to see me (a Deaf bitch) write as Deaf.#and i totally pinky promise not to project super duper hard on them. (i'm so lying)#i will get back to writing and the ask games i promse!#tomorrow i have the day off after 4 bc someone else is watching the baby so ic can just chill#also *please please* if you have disabled headcanons for any batfam (or DC in general) character#send them to me. i want to see them. i would love to talk about them with you.#as an anon ask as a message as a reblog idc#gimme.#this isn't my usual content but shhh lemme be self indulgent.#both bc i'm curious and bc i wanna write Deaf shit so. we take a break from my usual nonsense for this.#i'll post writing tomorrow to make up for it#also i have to remind myself this is my blog i can do what i want with and not just be a content machine. yk

The Price of Survival
Summary: Rescued by a stranger from a dangerous situation, you quickly find yourself thrust into an even more perilous one, forced to depend on him for protection in a world where survival means trusting no one. Pairing: Lucius Verus x F!Reader Word Count: 2.6K Rating: 18+ only, mature themes. Modern zombie AU, references to attempted SA, brief descriptions of violence and murder, and overall dark/gritty themes. Lucius is a little morally grey (perhaps soft dark?) in this story but he is not a bad guy. A/N: I may turn this into a mini series if people are interested. Otherwise it can be read as a standalone fic. Thank you to @ryebecca, @writercole, @mayhem24-7forever , and @aliensupastar for their help! Please comment or reblog if you enjoyed this and want to see more. Or scream at me in my inbox. That always makes my day.
Gladiator Masterlist ♡ Masterlist
You’re making too much noise.
But you’re no longer concerned about the undead. The mindless, decaying monsters are a distant worry now. It’s the living men who are after you — the ones chasing you, the ones who want you back. Twigs snap underfoot, and leaves crunch with every hurried step you take. Your breathing is labored in the otherwise still air.
You push yourself harder, muscles screaming in protest. The scents of pine and damp earth fill your nostrils as the cold air burns your lungs. The zip ties around your wrists cut into your skin, tightening with each frantic movement, biting deeper the more you struggle. The blood beneath them stings, the friction leaving raw marks on your flesh. Still, you don’t stop. You can’t stop.
The voices of the men reach your ears, growing more insistent. Their words aren’t fully distinguishable, but the tone is unmistakable — hungry and malicious. They're closing in. You veer left, only to stumble as your foot sinks into an icy stream. Cold water rushes over your ankles, the shock of it halting your momentum for a brief, disorienting moment before you force yourself to continue.
As you run, the forest blurs around you, your heart pounding so loudly in your ears you can hardly hear anything else. You don’t see the figure emerging from the trees until it’s too late. You slam into them, the collision sending you both tumbling to the ground. A jarring pain shoots through your side where you hit the earth. You nearly miss the sharp intake of breath and grunt of surprise of the man beneath you. Though you’ve landed half on top of him, in the blink of an eye, he shifts, rolling you under him.
You try to scream, but his hand shoots out, clamping down over your mouth, silencing you before the sound can escape. Panic floods you and you twist away, instinctively trying to free yourself from his grasp. He holds you still, his body a solid weight pinning you to the earth. When you look up, the first thing you notice are his eyes: dark, intense, and unyielding amid the chaos of the forest. A sliver of moonlight cuts across his face, highlighting a rugged beard and wild curls. He’s not one of the men hunting you, but he’s still a man, and that fact alone gives you pause.
For a heartbeat, the two of you just stare at each other, the tension in the air thick. His eyes move over your face, quick and assessing, before he seems to notice the zip ties binding your wrists. He tilts his head slightly, a flash of confusion passing over his face before glancing in the direction you came from. His brows knit in concentration as he scans the woods and you both hear the footsteps of the men as they grow closer, louder. You can almost hear their voices, too, faint murmurs cutting through the stillness of the forest. The stranger’s gaze snaps back to you and he stares at you as though weighing his next move.
His grip on you loosens, but you can feel the tension in his body, the way he stays poised, ready to move if needed.
“Why are they after you?” he asks, quietly, so only you can hear.
His question catches you off guard. For a moment, all you can do is stare at him, the panic still rising in your chest. His eyes remain locked on yours, his gaze sharp, waiting for you to answer. The longer you stay silent, the harder his expression becomes, a subtle edge creeping into his features. You shake your head and slowly tug your hands away from his to touch the torn collar of your blouse. His eyes follow the movement.
“They want what all men want,” you murmur.
Your eyes lock onto his, searching for some hint of understanding or sympathy. You’re looking for something that might tell you what kind of man he is, whether he’s like them or not. His jaw tightens, and for a split second, his expression darkens in a way that makes your breath catch. He nods once, sharp and decisive, as though he’s made a calculation and found his answer. Then, without another word, he pulls you up by the arm.
“We don’t have much time,” he warns.
“Who are you?” you ask, wariness threading through your voice.
He looks at you, his gaze steady and direct. “I’m someone who’s not here to hurt you,” he says simply.
The part of you that clings to the idea of how things were wants to believe there are still good people out there, who will help you survive. But you’ve learned the hard way that the world doesn’t work that way anymore. Everything good and kind about people died a year ago when the dead rose up and cities fell. Governments crumbled and everything you knew was replaced by a brutal, unforgiving reality overnight.
You started out with hope in a small group of survivors bound together by nothing more than circumstance. At first, it was almost comforting — traveling together, sharing food, and looking out for one another through the chaos that had engulfed the world. But that hope faded, slowly, painfully. One by one, they were lost to raider attacks, the relentless and unstoppable undead, and illness. Your world shrunk and the people you once trusted slipped away like sand through your fingers. And now, the same men who had slaughtered the last of your group were hunting you.
You swallow hard, fighting the emotion rising in your throat. Trust is a weakness, a mistake you can’t afford to make again. But before you can find your voice the stranger is pulling you deeper into the trees, a firm hand locked around your bound wrist. He’s fast, moving with an efficiency you can’t match, his boots barely making a sound on the forest floor as he drags you along. You stumble after him but he doesn’t slow down until the brush opens to reveal a small, sheltered hollow between the trees. He pushes you into it and crouches beside you as his eyes scan the darkness.
“Stay low,” he directs, his hand firm on your shoulder as he guides you down onto the cold, damp earth. “And don’t make a sound.”
You nod, barely able to breathe as you sink into the shadows of the thicket, the chill of the earth seeping into your skin. The silence of the woods is loud, almost painfully so, but it’s shattered seconds later by the sound of heavy boots crunching through the underbrush.
A twig snaps. Another voice speaks, this time clearer. "She’s gotta be close. Keep looking.”
“I want the first crack at her, " a new voice adds.
Your eyes flick toward the man when he slinks forward slowly. For the first time, you notice the hatchet strapped to his waist, its handle worn from use, the blade gleaming faintly in the moonlight. He grips it tightly, his fingers brushing over the handle with an almost unconscious familiarity. Without a glance back, he disappears into the trees, a shadow among shadows.
A quiet rustling follows with a muffled thud, like something heavy hitting the ground. Your pulse spikes. Another noise, softer this time, a grunt, a brief, sharp inhale, then...silence.
Your heart races and your eyes dart to where he disappeared, your body rigid with fear. The men are closer now, their voices sharper, more urgent. One calls out again, “Where the hell is she?”
There’s another thud, followed by a sickeningly wet sound that makes your stomach churn. You can’t see what’s happening, but you don’t need to. You press yourself lower into the earth and try to make yourself as small as possible while the struggle continues. The smell of dirt and blood mixes in the air, filling your nose until it feels like you might choke. You can't move. You can’t even breathe properly, too afraid that a single sound will give you away.
A voice, closer this time, shouts, “What is that? Who’s there, who —”
The words are cut off by another thud and a gurgling noise. It doesn’t take long for the sounds to die down, and when they do, the silence rushes in, swallowing you whole. It’s an oppressive kind of silence, heavy and suffocating. The absence of sound is somehow worse than the chaos that preceded it. Every nerve in your body feels raw and taut with the tension of waiting for something – anything – to happen. Minutes stretch on, each one thicker than the last, until finally, the stranger emerges soundlessly. Although his clothes are streaked with dirt and blood, his posture is calm, almost detached.
The instinct to flee hits you with such force that you scramble back, your bound hands held out in front of you like they might somehow stop him. But you know they won’t. He stops an arm’s length away, crouching down. Before you can react, he produces a small blade and grasps your elbow, tugging you forward. He slices cleanly through the zip ties around your wrists and then releases you.
Your throat feels dry, the words caught somewhere between panic and disbelief. Finally, you manage to whisper, “You...you killed them.”
He doesn’t respond right away, but after a beat, he simply nods. Your mind swirls with a thousand questions you don’t know how to ask. One thing is clear, though. This man, for all his brutality, just saved your life.
“You need to go now,” he says, helping you stand. “Head north. That’s your best chance.”
Your mind struggles to keep up with the fast turn of events. Even though you were scared of him seconds ago, the thought of walking into the unknown, alone again, churns your stomach, and a cold wave of fear settles over you. You think of the endless days of running, of barely surviving, and for a brief moment, the idea of leaving him is terrifying. What little supplies you had were taken by the men whose camp you have no hope of finding in the darkness.
The stranger watches you, sensing your hesitation, and steps closer. His eyes are unblinking, focused on you. "There are worse things in these woods than those men." “The undead,” you begin, but before you can finish, he cuts you off, his lip curling back in a snarl that surprises you.
"The undead aren’t what you should be worried about." His words are sharp, and dismissive, as though they mean nothing compared to what really lies ahead. “Go. Now." he urges, his grip suddenly tightening on your arm, pulling you away from the shelter of the trees and into the open.
You stumble as he shoves you forward.
“Maybe we can stay together. I can be useful,” you promise him, the words leaving you in a rush. “I have medical training.”
A soft, almost imperceptible look crosses his face, but it’s gone as quickly as it appeared. His jaw tightens and his expression hardens.
“Leave,” he grounds out. “Before it’s too late. Before-“
His voice cuts off and he looks away toward the dark trees, scanning the distance. Whatever he finds makes his posture go rigid and his breath leaves his lungs in a harsh exhale. You step closer to him, afraid of what you can’t sense but that seems to agitate him more.
“My, my, Lucius, you’ve been busy. Macrinus sent you to hunt dinner, not men.”
The voice rings out from the edge of the trees where an unfamiliar man melds out of the shadows. Your rescuer, Lucius, tenses at the sound, and you can feel the shift in the air, the way the atmosphere thickens. He doesn’t respond to the man immediately. Instead, you watch his fingers move with practiced ease, slipping a slim, deadly knife from his belt. With a flick of his wrist, the blade is poised and ready.
For a brief moment you wonder if he means to kill this man too, but then, to your shock, two more figures emerge from behind the first. Lucius exhales through his nose, a quiet sound almost lost in the air between you, and you see the way he forces himself to relax. When you glance at his hand again, the knife is gone, as if it had never been there.
“Viggo,” Lucius greets curtly. “There are rabbits in the trap and a buck back by the stream. I did as he asked.”
The short but powerfully built man, Viggo, raises an eyebrow and glances at you, his grin widening.
“You certainly did that and more. Looks like you found yourself a little something too, hmm?”
“A pretty little fawn,” another man comments with a smirk, reaching out, his hand extended like he intends to touch you.
Panic surges through you, and you instinctively take a step back, but you don’t get far before Lucius pulls you behind him. You wince as his fingertips brush over the torn skin of your wrist.
“You know the rules,” Lucius growls, his voice low and deadly. “Take a step back if you want to keep your hand.”
Lucius’s stance doesn’t waver, still shielding you, but his expression softens for just a moment as he glances over his shoulder at you. In that fleeting look, you catch a hint of something else, regret or perhaps guilt? You blink and it’s replaced by a cold mask. You’re not sure what to make of him. Fear and appreciation tangle together as you consider his actions. You wonder what exactly he’s trying to protect you from, and why he seems so unsettled by the need to do so.
“Macrinus needs you back,” Viggo presses. "He’s waiting on the game. We can take her back to the settlement,"
“I don’t think so. I’ll bring her in,” he responds, jerking his head toward you, the motion sharp, dismissive.
The words hang in the air, but it’s not just the command that catches your attention — it’s the hollowness in his tone. The men don’t challenge him, but they exchange a brief look before leaving. Lucius remains in front of you, standing rigidly, staring into the blackness. You get the sense you’re still not quite alone, something Lucius confirms when he turns to face you. He raises a finger to his lips and the warning is gentle but firm. Don’t speak.
“I’m sorry,” he whispers, his voice low and filled with a grief that sends a wave of unease through you. He takes a step closer and reaches for the rope hanging from his belt, uncoiling its length.
"What…?" you breathe, but the question trails off into the air, unfinished.
You feel the panic rising in your chest as Lucius begins to wrap the rope around your forearms, the rough texture biting into your skin. Every muscle in your body screams to flee, to run from this situation, from him, but deep down you know that escaping would be futile. There’s nowhere to run, no one to turn to. The fear doesn’t stop you from trying, though, from taking a small step back, but Lucius’s grip on you tightens immediately, pulling you toward him again.
He doesn’t look at you as he works, lips pressed tight as he continues binding your arms, careful to avoid your torn wrists. When he finishes tying the knot, his hand lingers on the rope for just a moment, as though he’s second-guessing himself. Then Lucius shakes his head, a sharp, quick movement, almost like he’s clearing away his thoughts. His eyes flicker briefly to yours and he hooks his fingers under your new bindings, tugging you towards him.
“You should have left when I told you,” Lucius says solemnly.

1 for the ask game. Whumper
Thank you for the ask :33
1) How did you acquire your whumpee? How hard it was? (from this ask game)
Ryan snorts. “I wasn’t the one who acquired him. I would’ve picked someone more…” His eyes unfocus for a moment before glancing back at you. “Well, never mind that. It was Mom who brought him home. According to her, there was some big riot or something… she said she had to teach everyone a lesson and take a captive. Honestly, she probably didn’t need to, but her decisions as queen were- well.” He swallows. “Not my place to criticize. Anyway, she convinced the crowds that he was dead and just… brought Onyx home. Left him in my room as if we weren’t in an entire castle of empty rooms.”
#sorry idk if i'm supposed to tag people :( if you're on the taglist and you see this please tell me when i'm supposed to tag you#rainbow's ocs#rainbow's whump#rainbow's asks#the winged servant#ryan tag#people have definitely reblogged my writing with theories in the tags about how onyx got here#but no one has ever actually asked about it#SEE WHAT NICE THINGS YOU GET WHEN YOU GO TO MY INBOX#YOU SHOULD HANG OUT HERE MORE OFTEN#also yeah you probably did only send this ask cuz i said i was holding the next chapter hostage#i wanted to let you know that i lied and i was gonna post it tomorrow regardless of my inbox status#HOWEVER thank you so so much <333

One thing about me is that if I see someone reblogging AI images, I will let them know 👌🏻
#unless they explicitly tag it as ai in which case i will simply judge them quietly and move on#but if i don't see clear evidence that they know it's ai i will send them a lil ask <3#of course y'all can reblog whatever you want but i will do my duty since i seemingly can just tell?#idk how to explain what my brain process is but ai generated images (especially the ones trying to look like photos) look so obviously to m#i might have more trouble with images trying to copy someone's art style (which sucks!) or some other non realistic thing#but ''photos''? so obvious!!#(watch me miss a billion images lol)#but you get me#anyways if i unknowingly reblog ai pls let me know <3#angel talks#personal#anti ai#fuck ai

People moving from Twitter to Bluesky talking about how nice the vibe in Bluesky is because it's like a little community without an algorithm overlord behind you and it's just people sharing art and stuff - my brother in christ y'all literally just wanted tumblr
#i still maintain that tumblr is the superior website if only for the sake of its structure#neatly organized blogs with a series of tags capable of archiving old posts from years ago so you can read all about the silly little AUs#people came up with about blorbo from your shows back in 2014#likewise with art - easy to look for and find because it's all so perfectly organized#the possibility to write long walls of text to which you can add all kinds of files from pictures to audio to video#in whatever order you want#aided by the ''read more'' bracket for better organization#plus the option to make multiple sideblogs#to submitting posts to other blogs and sending asks and reblogging with commentary and sending private massages that do NOT tell you#whether the other person has or hasn't see your message OR whether or not they are typying at the momeny#the anonimity and privacy of it all#can you ask for a better format? this is why I haven't left and I dok#i don't plan to. it's just soooo comfortable to use

You're packing to leave your home in the apocalypse and can bring up to three books with you, depending on size/weight. Which books are you grabbing?
#listen it's a hypothetical game I play with myself all the time ok? and I'm curious#I think it started when Dad brought home one of those Bibles that's printed on like a single piece of plastic or something#and you read it with a super strong magnifying glass#and I thought “oh this wouldn't weigh too much I could pack this in any sort of emergency”#and after a few more steps here we are#please tell me your books! reblog or send me an ask and gimme reasons if you want#my options vary because Digger is a go-to but the omnibus is SO heavy it would be like my only book#I SHOULD grab some sort of reference or guide for like...woodland herbs and edibles but I don't own anything like that#and the rule is it has to be within easy reach#off the top of my head we have#1) A Wrinkle in Time#2) The Postman (for the irony and it's actually a cool book)#3) The Silver Chair (for Puddleglum)#other possibilities include Watership Down‚ Pride and Prejudice‚ Murderbot (they're small)‚ whichever Ender book I see first‚#my LOTR omnibus (also heavy)‚ The Blue Sword‚ A Canticle for Leibowitz (also for the irony)‚ the first Discworld book I see‚ The Thief....#yes I'm cheating on my own question lol#really it would be a snap decision based on what I see first. and whatever my choices I would regret the books I didn't grab#(my book sorting system is sketchy at best and I couldn't tell you where a lot of these are shelved)#here lies Phoebe. by some miracle she survived the apocalypse but she chose to feed on words rather than food. thus she is dead.#but she is happy.#(I wrote a few thousand words of a post-apoc story once and yeah the family stayed at their home but their top priority after food was book#they raided the nearby library. these are my priorities)#mine
