Rotting Apples AU questions!!
How’d the Twins receive those scars?
What caused the tree to rot? Was it this AU’s version of The Apple Incident, or is that yet to come?
Ok well, yeah the name is a little misleading but actually the calling of "Rotting apples" is more of the after state of the Twins themselves as the Multiverse Names I've given them implies as such being Wither and Decay with a last other character whos really wrapping this all together teehee
But First I'll Answer How the Twins got their Injuries, more or less speaking it follows a general Dreamtale timeline as general per usual with the usual Apple incident but rather than Nightmare and Dream surviving the incident they both end up dying in the end
Dream dies after Nightmare more or less gravely injures him and ends up breaking off Dreams Jaw before he falls to the ground
Nightmares Injury coming from one of the villagers when they had started chopping down the tree creating a weakspot in his skull where his goop had destroyed the bone there.
as goes the Apple incident, Nightmare ends up killing everyone and in a last bit of clarity he realizes what hes done. Dreams body hadn't dusted yet so Nightmare had tried dragging dream to the stump meekly as the flux of magic is too much for him. Dreams body dusts completely before Nightmare makes it to the tree but he still takes Dreams crown before collapsing against the stump and too dying leaving the Au silent and empty...
well that is until a little ol' Necromancer came around :}c
His name is Sage and he's a Variant of one of my own Sanses, Necro, who is well, a Necromancer
I'll post more about him overtime but teehee
Overall though more or less How he meets the twins is sometime after wandering the Multiverse for some time, he ends up in the remains of Dream tale, upon discovering two interesting souls lingering, Sage reanimates the two out of curiosity since he's never seen souls like theirs and as spirits of sorts Dream and Nightmare were brought back, unfortunately though the damage done to their original vessels stuck with them and thus why they look the way they do since Necromancers usually don't have the skill set to change a raised dead's physical appearance
Although beisdes that I'll be sharing Withers gang at some point later :}
so keep an eye out on that teehee,, :}c

Fandorm Showcase #23 - The Black Cauldron
Our final fandorm for the season 2 batch.
Introducing the menacing and eerie dorm inspired by The Black Cauldron...
Marwolord!
It combines the words Marwol (Welsh for deadly) and lord.
This dorm focuses on pure ambition and desire for power, a force not to be reckoned with. This is also a dorm every student tend to avoid in Night Raven College, but it's not what it seems at the surface. In actuality, students in this dorm are professional musicians of the rock/metal music genre, so they tend to be loud and aggressive. Their type of music genre in my own TWST lore is called Necro-Metal, a kind of metal music genre that is rumored to be able to raise the undead if played harmoniously and with the combination of resurrection magic, which is classified as a forbidden type of magic to practice in modern times.
Yes, they're a rock band-
"A dorm founded on the Dread Sovereign's spirit of resolution. Students in this dorm are encouraged to harness their inner power and perseverance through aggressive music."
Requirements and Traits:
Prefers rock/metal genre of music
Have extensive knowledge in ancient texts or runic inscriptions
Strong desire for power and control
Dorm Uniform Design:
This is my most complicated design for a dorm uniform yet, I tried to combine a rockstar aesthetic with the overall theme of The Horned King. I found a reference for a skull-like hole pattern on a shirt and decided to use that idea but also make the shirt semi-transparent. (Yes, the housewarden would basically be bare torso-wise if not for the additional fur jacket.) Well, at least that is avoided with the ribcage-like mesh harness worn underneath all that.
Bow down to the king of Necro-Metal himself...
Character Roster:
Caxir Arwest, a third-year housewarden of Marwolord and a fae of immense capabilities, is a commanding presence in Twisted Wonderland, a Necro-Metal virtuoso whose raw talent and dark charisma have earned him both adoration and fear. Caxir’s music is as intense as his personality. Known for his electrifying guitar solos and haunting compositions, he has a near-magical ability to captivate his audience, leaving them entranced by his performances in the Nero-Metal band, "The Cauldron-Borns". Offstage, however, he is a man of few words, speaking with a deliberate, commanding tone that makes every word feel significant.
Caxir Arwest (Twisted off The Horned King)
While his fame brings him adoration, Caxir is not one to bask in it. His goals go far beyond simple recognition—he seeks to inspire and control, channeling the raw energy of his music to awaken something primal in his audience. He thrives on power, not just over his instrument but over those who dare to underestimate him. Yet beneath his stoic exterior lies a profound loneliness and a burning desire to find someone who understands the depths of his passion and ambition.
Notable Members:
Geraint Skreech (Sophomore) - A wyvern fae who likes keeping others on their toes, often speaking in cryptic words and peppering his conversations with dark humor. He's the synthesizer of the band "The Cauldron-Borns". (Twisted off the Gwythaints)
Cree Hoblin (Vice Houewarden, Sophomore) - A scrappy and excitable fae who adores the excitement of being apart of the band "The Cauldron-Borns" as the bass player, as well as the morale booster for the band. (Twisted off Creeper)
Osburn Moreva (Junior) - A man with the most enchanting singing voice that anyone who hears it are compelled to listen to his whole performance, as if they're hypnotized by his songs. (Twisted off the witches of Morva)
Mors Quietus (Freshman) - An aloft and blank-minded boy who is a reanimated corpse with no recollection of his past, but he has skills in playing excellent backup guitar rhythms for the band. (Twisted off The Cauldron Borns)
Bronn Boiler (Freshman) - A golem crafted from the alloys that formed the infamous enchanted cauldron of the dread sovereign, who now relies on Necro-Metal resonance to fuel its essence, and is the drummer for the band. It rarely speaks a word but only Caxir understands its needs. (Twisted off The Black Cauldron)
Synopsis:
It's Night Raven College's annual cultural fair, and the SDC (Song and Dance Competition) has returned to find their new winner for this year. This time, joining the contest for the top spot is the band from the dreaded Marwolord dorm, "The Cauldron-Borns", led by Caxir Arwest, the housewarden and lead guitarist/vocalist. Their performance has been famously known to draw huge audiences from around the world, which also happens in the SDC contest. But something dark and sinister is happening within the band, as Caxir has plans to harvest the resonance of the audience to his performances for his ultimate goal.
Annnnnd that is all for Season 2 fandorms! Stay tuned for more to come!

Hello there with a quick question.
what does the ghost zone think about a necromancer? (to make the question longer there is a good necromancer, like a detective who asks ghosts about their murder to solve a serial killer, and an evil necromancer, who does the standard necromancer stuff like trying to take over the world with undead or trying to be immortal and stuff)
Well, technically, necromancy isn't actually what most think it is.
What we regard as necromancy in modern media would more accurately be described as necromagy or necroturgy as -magy is a general study of a field of magic & -turgy is manipulation or control of something via magical means.
On the other hand, -mancy is more communication or divination via magic or mysticism. Plus, the use of necro- isn't necessarily communication with ghosts so much as communication with corpses as necro specifically denotes dead tissues.
So, if a necromancer were to ask questions, then the corpse would likely be reanimated for a short time, but they would only be able to answer questions that they knew the answer to in life. They wouldn't be privy to any information that their ghost gained after death.
Likewise, necroturgy is the control of corpses.
So, the good detective, based on the fact that you said he asks ghosts questions about their murder, might be described as a phasmamancer. Phasmancer? Whichever.
However, despite the many differences, these would likely all be classified under the umbrella of thanatomagy. Thanato- indicating death in-general.
But, that's just me being nitpicky & semantic about things.
For your actual question. I think it depends on an individual level. But, in general, necroturgy is bad because it's seen as desecration the same way that besmirching a grave is. It's a serious taboo.
Though, things like necromancy & phasmamancy would likely be more of a gray area & individual thing where it really depends of how it's used, why, & who you ask.
But, generally speaking, the detective dude would be considered a good guy.
Also, if you're really interested in all this stuff, I'd very much recommend you look up the Blackwell series of games. They're kind of mystery point & click adventures where you go around & help ghosts to move on.
Really cool just as a concept & I think you'd enjoy them.
---
And I know I've said this before, but I'm sorry that I haven't answered the DPxJJBA ask yet. I really like the idea of it, but it's like I can't think of anything for it.

i was backreading your page and saw you mention that you were once considering a tlt yellowjackets AU and assigned some characters to different roles. as a TLT and YJs fan i was wondering if you could maybe share what roles you assigned who?
oooh fun! thank you so much for asking this. i’ll put it below the read more because i will definitely get carried away and this is pretty niche lol. also spoilers for yellowjackets!!
i mostly assigned the roles based on necro/cav pairings so that’s how i’ll format this. also i’m basing this on the teen/wilderness versions of the characters.
taissa - necromancer / van - cavalier
i think that their dynamic in the show (especially as of s2) can easily lend itself to the necro/cav dynamic and i think it would be interesting to examine their relationship through that lens. also tangential but van palmer would love gideon nav as a character someone give her a copy of GtN
lottie - necromancer / nat - cavalier
i KNOW most people’s go-to here would be mistynat because of misty’s protectiveness over and devotion to natalie, however i just can’t see nat as a necromancer and i think there’s more room for juicy drama that could also play off their canon dynamic if nat is (begrudgingly) lottie’s cavalier. admittedly i am also a lottienatter so i might be biased here.
shauna - necromancer / jackie - cavalier
this one was a bit difficult for me because it can also be the other way around and still make sense, it really just depends on which parts of YJ canon you want to take into account. on all levels except for how their story canonically concludes, shauna should be the cavalier. i definitely see the merit of switching the roles, especially if you consider jackieshauna’s interpersonal conflict (particularly shauna’s feelings/resentment towards jackie) and the positioning of necromancers vs cavaliers in tlt - there’s plenty to work with there. but their storyline just kinda lends itself to this interpretation, at least in my opinion. and also when coming up with this (spoilers) i was thinking about shauna in the meat shed with jackie’s corpse and just the idea of reanimation/puppeting and the Seventh’s practices/expertise … it made sense to me for her to be the necromancer. (i did in fact think about placing them in the seventh house for that reason specifically lol)
misty - necromancer / crystal - cavalier
my thought process here is that i see misty as being the type of character to attain lyctorhood due to there being a convenient ‘whoopsie’ and being like well what else was i going to do? she was already dead! and with what happened to crystal … i mean. yeah. (although i did contemplate the idea of necro misty / cav nat and i think misty’s potential ascension/reaction to the cost of lyctorhood would change drastically if nat were to be her cavalier)
those are the only pairings i came up with but i definitely see laura lee as a Cristabel type of cavalier - if i moved nat to a different pairing or role i would have laura lee be lottie’s cav (potential for absolute devastation here).
thank you for asking this, it was really fun to think about again! i hope one day someone actually writes this au as i do not have the skill, talent, nor patience for such a thing. any other yellowjackers here please feel free to give me your thoughts

Magic the Gathering: Innistrad (Innistrad block)
My favorite Black cards
Zombies are divided between Blue and Black.
The Black undeads, that you can see above, are corpses reanimated by dark spells and evil curses. The work of demonic activity or necromancers, they are terrifying hordes of flesh-eating undeads, your typical horror movie zombie. Sometimes they are also called "ghouls" and those that wake them up, "ghoulcallers".
Blue undeads however are more akin to the Creature of Frankenstein. They are artificial zombies, creatures brought to life by mad scientists and morbid alchemists, who stitched together various pieces of human body before animating them. The technical term for the people that created those abominations is "skaberen", due to Blue undeads being called "skaab".
If you are interested in knowing more about the two different types of "zombies", the official Magic website has a detailed break-down and the "ghoulcallers's unhallowed" and the "skaberen's skaab":
THE UNHALLOWED Necromantically animated zombies are more commonly called ghouls or "unhallowed" on Innistrad, because they're drawn forth from unhallowed graves. One of the duties of Avacynian clergy is blessing the final resting places of the dead to try to ensure "the Blessed Sleep." Now that Avacyn is no longer present, the dead can be more easily stirred. Ghoulcallers Necromancers on Innistrad are usually referred to as ghoulcallers, the black-mana mages that call forth the dead from graveyards, or "grafs." There are several varieties of graf, each of which draws forth a unique mix of the walking dead. Fengraf. A fengraf is one of the many flooded lowland graveyards. These sites were once hallowed ground, but have remained untended for many years. Fengraf ghouls are usually smiths, cobblers, brothel workers and other common and poor folk. Seagraf. A seagraf is a "fisherman's graveyard." Much like minor nobles, fishermen are often buried with their most prized possessions, such as nets, long harpoons, and large hooks for getting hold of a slippery catch. Seagraf unhallowed have not completely forgotten their trade even in death, and they will pursue victims using the tools and deftness they had in life. Diregraf. A diregraf is the site of a particularly gruesome battle. Unhallowed awakened from a diregraf carry the armor, weapons, and fatal wounds from their last bloody battle. Diregraf ghouls carry this lust for an unfinished battle within their fogged minds, and they often attempt to fall into military formations as they were trained to do in life. Once the dead have risen, the ghoulcaller then supplants all other addled thoughts of the dead with one single driving purpose in their minds. The near-mindless ghouls will call on what skills they have left to carry out the task, and the results are a grotesque parody of their lives. Blacksmiths attempt to "reforge" their opponents, fallen warriors emit rasping pseudo-cries, and undead murderers reawaken their taste for killing. Occasionally, fallen mages even show a limited ability to weave spells, but this often results in some aberration of the spell's original purpose.
THE SKAAB Necro-alchemy is much more of an art than ghoulcalling. One who practices the art of creating skaabs is called a skaberen. The true goal of the skaberen is to create life, an undertaking which usually produces malformed "offspring" rather than true life. There are four steps to producing a skaab. Corpus Creare, also known as "corpse cobbling," is the collecting of various anatomical parts from corpses from which the skaab will be constructed. This is usually performed by paid grave robbers or homunculi under the skaberen's charge. In some cases, even the limbs of beasts are used for the construct; if a human arm is not available, a horse's leg can suffice. Patin Ligitus, or rune-bonds, are the "binding plates" used to join various anatomical features together. These are plates of copper and/or brass, with silver-inlaid runes scribed on them. They provide an arcane bridge of sorts between disparate parts gathered by corpse-cobbling. Viscus Vitae, or vital fluid, is the key to the skaberen's art. Viscus vitae is created by mixing a large quantity of lamp oil with the slightest pinch of the dried blood of an angel. Once a perfect mixture of viscus vitae is created, any blood remaining in the corpse is replaced with vital oil, via transfusion. As a result, skaab are often highly flammable. Vox Quietus, translated as "the silent word," is the final step in creating a skaab. The skaberen whispers a fairly lengthy incantation over the corpse which awakens the creature, but in a much calmer manner that that which is used by ghoulcallers. Once awakened, the skaab is in a calm, "tabula rasa" state, which allows the alchemist to begin the long task of re-educating the creature. In the eyes of a skaberen, the technique used by ghoulcallers is crude, heretical, and provides unacceptable results. Skaberen usually ply their trade in remote and inhospitable places, since they are viewed as blasphemers by commoners and clergy. Skaberen often become obsessed hermits who surround themselves with ancient scrolls and books, phials of rare noxious liquids, glass jars full of pickled organs, anatomical charts for both human and beast, rune-engraved skeletal remains, and small anvils and hammers for inscribing runes on brass and copper plates.

@turtletotem:
Re: believing in Wake’s revenant despite believing their reanimated comrades are 100% dead—I’m sure they know necros can do stuff with ghosts, but they are hardly going to bother doing that with enemy soldiers. Nor can they actually resurrect the dead in any true “bring the person back to life” way, so if they see a dead comrade walking around, it is absolutely not the dead comrade’s soul piloting it.
@eye-lantern:
About the comrades revived things and Wake: the booklet seems to be aimed at normal personel, before engagement. So the main issue to cover would be a newbie jumping in the arms of a friend they thought lost and getting ripped apart. Someone cleared to land on the First and know about their Lyctor ally is not operating based on the booklet anymore and applies very different procedures.
@wellhappybirthdaytomeiguess:
@eye-lantern I think a part of this, too, is simply trying to ensure that regular troops understand the threat of the Cohort, even if it means exaggerating what the zombies can do.
Well, I don't think necromancers really have anything to do with revenants coming back and doing their thing, that just seems to be something that any dead ghost can do if it's mad enough about dying, they don't necessarily have to be called back like Dr. Sex was, and I'm sure that probably legitimately happened at some point during this 10,000-year war. But I can see that there would probably be enough other cases where it was just a necromancer piloting a corpse that they would take this party line, but higher level people might know more about how it actually works
@turtletotem:
Re: the death sense, we know that they absolutely would sense the thanergy burst from the next room. As far as tracking the bullet back to the sniper, it might take specialized training, but i think it’s totally possible. There would be a thanergetic link between the dead soldier and the weapon that killed him. They talk about those links being the kind of things revenants can cling to. And this is death on the battlefield right next to the necro; none the murders at Canaan were witnessed.
@wellhappybirthdaytomeiguess:
One way to think about the 'death sense' over a long distance is that it is likely that cohort necromancers, as part of their officer training, likely get some sort of training in developing that as a skill.
Thanergy links are mentioned as something that revenants can travel along, but I don't think we've ever seen mention of a living necromancer making use of them, not even Lyctors (although, there weren't any unexplained deaths in Harrow the Ninth, so maybe there just wasn't a reason to do that). Magnus and Abigail must have died when Harrow and Gideon were in the Second Laboratory, so it kind of was just in the other room, but I guess maybe you could say that Harrow didn't notice because she was occupied, or because of the fact that the First is like a thanergy pit that probably obscures lesser thanergy bursts? And if this is actually just a special skill that Cohort necromancers are trained in, then why wasn't Judith able to do it to find out who killed Magnus and Abigail? She's a Cohort necromancer, isn't she?
@eye-lantern:
About the ninths necros being goths, I believe they have not been on the battlefield for a while. But also I don't think that the cavaliers would be any less goth
True, on both points. Although, based on Ortus being described as looking like a prototypical Ninth cavalier and then mostly serving the purpose of carrying around bones, it might be easy to tell them apart, but yeah, I gather the Ninth House hasn't really sent anyone to the Cohort in a while
@wellhappybirthdaytomeiguess:
Judith was essentially on the verge of death and bleeding out, and little threat. They may also have decided that she would potential be a useful hostage, as a cohort officer and the daughter of one of the highest ranking military officers in the Houses. Plus, being the heir to the 2nd. Also, of course, interrogation. They DO have anti-necro strategies they can use with prisoners.
She wasn't a threat when they found her at Canaan House, for sure, but they obviously fixed her up a bit since then. Since they don't realize that necromancy relies on access to a planet and isn't even super effective on thalergenic planets without a lot of death happening, it sounds like most of them would have expected that she could start doing horrific things to them as soon as she healed up. And it doesn't sound like they have any basic human empathy for necromancers regardless of their ability to hurt them

DF Fanfic: Bite of the Living Bread
WARNING: STUFFING HUMOR AND FEEDERISM CONTENT AHEAD. VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED.
As she waited for Artix to arrive from above the Necropolis, Suut bounced impatiently, ready to fight whatever new undead awaited the both of them. Suut was never known for her patience, but she knew that Artix would get cranky, depressed, or both if she started fighting undead without him. That said, she had been waiting long enough that she was starting to get hungry. "I wonder if I can get something from the cafeteria...." She muttered to herself, as she eyed the Necro University student handbook. "No, then I'd risk running into a student."
Just as she was thinking this though, Artix trotted up, clearly excited to slay some undead.
"Finally! What took you so long?" Suut asked.
"Sorry Suut, needed to take care of some undead at Amityvale gate." Artix sighed apologetically.
Even though she waited quite a while, Suut couldn't help but feel bad for him. She knew better than anyone else that he didn't like to keep people waiting. She gave him a playful punch on the arm.
"Oh, don't worry about it!" She replied. "Let's just get to slaying some undead!"
At that point, she could plainly see Artix getting pumped up.
"So where do you think we should go next" Artix added with a beaming smile. "We've already broke the Build-A-Beast machine, so-"
But just as Artix was speaking, a loud growl emanated from Suut's hungry belly. She could tell it was wanting something to eat.
"Maybe we could try checking out the cafeteria?" Suut asked with a chuckle.
~
As they arrived at the cafeteria entrance, they saw that one of the students was standing guard. At that point, they knew he had to be guarding something, likely a necromancy experiment of some kind.
"Okay, so do we just storm in?" Suut whispered to Artix.
"Normally I'd say yes," Artix responded, with a clear hint of dissapointment in his voice. "But we need to figure out what they're planning first."
Suut took a second to ponder. "Here's a thought."
Artix looked at her, confused.
"Hey, you!" Suut shouted at the Necropolis student. "What's going on in the cafeteria?"
The student glanced over at the two of them. "Oh, they're trying ot make a soup that'll reanimate food! If it goes according to plan, there won't be a safe taco stand left on the surface of Lore!" he yelled back.
"Thanks, man!"
"No proble-" But before he could finish, Artix struck him down with his axe.
"Wow, you really are itching to slay some undead, aint'cha?" Suut joked.
"Do I even need to answer that?" Artix asked. "Okay, so now all we need to do is ruin the soup."
As they readied themselves to enter the cafeteria, another loud rumble came from Suut's stomach. "You think we'll have to fight some food?" She asked, half jokingly.
"Probably. Why?" Artix inquired.
"No reason." Suut said nervously. "But do you mind if I handle this one solo? Need to get some good exercise in!"
Artix sighed dejectedly. "I suppose you can. But just be sure to put this into the soup" As he said that he handed her a bottle, and she looked at it to read the label
"HOLY WASABI, PROPERTY OF ARIX VON KRIEGER"
"Y'know what? I'm just not gonna ask any questions!" And with that she stormed in.
~
Artix was beginning to worry. Suut said that she'd only be in there for 30 minutes, maximum. He looked at his watch.
"34 minutes" Artix muttered. "Should probably go in to inves-"
But at that moment, a huge noise broke his train of thought. A monstrous belch, the sound of which reminded Artix of a beast.
"I'm coming, Suut!" Artix yelled, clearly thinking the worst. But just then, a figure walked out of the entrance.
It was Suut. More specifically, it was Suut wth an engorged, rumbling gut. Artix had no idea what to say.
"Mhh.." Suut whimpered. "Sorry that took so long. Took me a while to get up after eating that last monst-UUUUUUURRRP"
She could feel the pressure ease slightly in her belly. It honestly was amazing she wasn't in a food coma after such a huge meal. "I got the soup ruined, though".
"You... you didn't eat it too, right?" Artix stuttered, only partially joking.

So listen
i had this idea for a character
*what if* I had a character who was a necromancer, but used his necro powers to save the bees and re-alive endangered animals
and what if, at one point, this character throws a reanimated frog at a firefly spirit because the firefly spirit is giving my protag grief and the eco-necromancer is helping my protag
and then the firefly spirit takes control of the frog and pilots it like a mecha
do u see the vision?
Somehow, someway, I *will* tie this concept into the emotional development of my protag's character arc. *I will*
In the meantime, enjoy these awesome drawings I commissioned my friend Skarik to make \o/

God I'm so love with the concept of Necro Gideon and Cav Harrow because what about their back story!!!
After everything the Nonagesimis's have done to have Harrow and she's till a failure and then, on top of anything she keeps fighting with the only other necromancer & endangering their only hope at a future. The final straw is Harrow attempting to kill herself by opening the tomb so they kill themselves but this time Gideon is the one reanimating them. It's just Gideon and Harrow and their horrible secret which Harrow fears will one day be used against her but Gideon would never dream of it. It's this unspoken piece of history between them that haunts Harrow forever. Eternally indebted to a girl who reads Frontline Titties of the Fifth lmao
I just really love the concept of being indebted to your rival for saving their life only to still hate them and never actually speak of the incident. The incident just lives in their heads rent free while they wonder if the other person has ever wasted a thought on it

RACES/SPECIES
okay so in NH, everyone has magic within them, even if it's just the tiniest drop, and this magic manifests in different ways.
sometimes it manifests as talent- singing, forging, carpentry - sometimes as something smaller like always having a hair tie or never slipping on ice. there's just so much magic in the mundane.
it manifests in other ways though, as magic tends to. some people have an excess amount of magic inside of them that also gives them the ability to manipulate the magic in the world around them as well. these people are known as 'casters'. (keika, for example, is a caster. a fairly powerful one honestly but you wouldn't notice unless you knew magic the way casters do.)
beyond that, though, it manifests physically:
the following terms vary in popularity across the continent.
shifters/thropes/shedders, are people who can move between a creature and human form. such as lycanthropes who can transform into wolf-like creatures, or the makai who are able to transform into owls.
hybrids/minglings are people with the physical features of another creature, without the ability to move between forms. this includes creatures such as harpies, centaurs, mermaids etc.
undead/necro's/reviveds are beings kept alive by magic, such as vampires, ghosts, or reanimated corpses (in any stage of death).
tani is an umbrella term used for creatures that are inherently magical, often related to nature, and don't always fit into any of the above categories. this includes: nymphs, the leshy, water spirits such as kelpies, dragons, unicorns, and many other creatures associated with our understanding of 'faeries'. selkies, too, are considered tani, though they are also classed as shifters. (specifically as "shedders" along the northern shores, where they are most commonly found.)
OKAY NOW
hybrids/minglings are like. the dominant gene. *squints in doesn't-know-science-well-enough-for-this* *shrugs in knows-enough-about-fake-magic* and it is like. Genuinely impossible for a hybrid parent to have a non-hybrid child, such as a caster.
because of this, a lot of people go ??? when Keika (caster) or Ahuru (mingling) introduce the other as their brother/sister. no one ever asks about it directly though because that's rude as fuck, and also anyone who ever has (a whopping total of: one unfortunate kid in bruasse) gets met w keika's fist in their face for insinuating ahuru isn't his sister.
the reason for the actual confusion though is the fact that ahuru and keika look extremely similar, and they're the same age, so they could very easily be twins except for the fact that they are an impossible combination so it's like *side eyes them* "maybe they are related-"

blizzard and his wraiths (CSP version)
Clip Studio Paint Version Oh dear seems Stella and Andre bit off more than they could chew seems and the incarnate of Loki chewed on them. He then reanimated them to serve as his wraiths or Necro Sentries as he calls them. Necrosentries are often made from powerful magic users to serve as undead mages for the caster. Unlike most undead they still retain most of their intelligence so Blizzard wraps them in tight latex bandages and posture collars and muzzles and their magic is then channeled by their bindings allowing them to function like Curse-M 's nuerosentries floating around and using their disembodied hands.

I have such a weird ramble I'm about to go on but I'm doing it anyway
people really don't seem to be able to distinguish that snuff and necro are very not the same thing (they overlap!! But they are not the same) and it is PISSING ME OFF TO AN UNREASONABLE DEGREE (it's the part of my brain that demands clean organization)
Also before I go any further I feel a legal obligation to be like "don't do this irl babes" and "I'm talking strictly fantasy based posts" and such just because of the content I'm talking abt
Snuff is getting off on the murder. There are many an alt tag if you wanna post your posts that way.
Necro is strictly where it is after death (and/or, before reanimation, depending on what you're doing). They don't necessarily have to have been murdered. But someone in the equation is already dead.
Overlap happens but also so much in the necro tag(s) is strictly snuff content. Or it's not even snuff it's like wound fucking while the person is still alive? BABE THAT IS LITERALLY NOT NECRO?? THAT BITCH IS STILL VERY ALIVE???
I'm done but also this is one of the weirdest things I've ever bitched about
#original sin#angel's scripture#necro#idk just in case someone has that blacklisted#ive been wilin out lately on my harder kinks
