Family Fun

So, the Sim parents in this town held a protest down at the Civic Center, whining that there were no family-friendly places to take their cookie-crunchers. I’m still building them a Red-Light district, which seems dang “friendly” to me, but apparently, they don’t agree. So, today I gave them not 1 but 4 - that’s right, 4 - places to take their brats. 1 of them was that sports field over by the movie studio. When you open this town, it’s just a deco field, set up to look like a soccer field. So, generous Sim-goddess that I am, I slapped down some of those soccer nets so they can now actually use it. And since I have that Jogging mod in my game, I also plunked down the markers, so my lazy Sims can run around the perimeter of the field. And viola! Done!

There’s also a small park over in that same area, that I upgraded. Just added some junk for them to do. Since I forgot to take pictures - and my game crashed just as I finished saving - I’ll take some next time.

Then, in what is known as the Canal area - not sure if it’s in the original town, or if Rflong7 added it - I gave the little crybabies a family rec center and an indoor basketball court. (I can’t believe I’m so nice!) Anyway, the original build for the rec center came from My Sim Realty - I just made it bigger. On the lower level, I added 2 more bowling lanes and switched out the roller-skating rink for the ice one. I did that because over on my Art Museum lot, I used Sandy’s invisible roller-skating object, so my Sims can skate on the sidewalks, as Sims were meant to, EA! Upstairs, I re-arranged things a bit, since I now had more room and gave them a pool-table along with the stuff that was there. I also gave them an arcade room. Then I did some deco on the outside. And noticed it was nighttime! (More about that in a bit).

Across the street I placed this lot that I’m almost positive was created by Wimmie over on TSR. I immediately liked it - mainly because of the wall images she created and the indoor court by Severinka. (It looks pretty; day or night!) 

Like I said, I really liked the CC created for this lot, so other than switching out the blah flooring for that Sims 1 conversion @grandelama created, and adding more sports paraphernalia, I pretty much left this one as it was. Well, I did add some outside deco and used those “public” showers in the locker rooms that came with that store gym, but whatever.

Then I noticed it was night. And OMG! I love this town at night! So, I took some random shots.

This is actually uphill from where I was working. As you can see, I switched out that Late Night stadium for the one from Showtime - mostly because it looks better, but also because my Sims can perform there. A win-win!

And here’s a shot looking downtown. This is such a pretty city. Too bad EA screwed up the original’s routing. But Rflong7 supposedly “fixed” it in this version, so we’ll see.

VTM Session

Forgot to tell the folks here on how last VTM session that Marina and Martti finally talked because Martti got her phone number and put Marina in a position to have to speak to him. Martti also appeared at the funeral but only Ingrid saw him and he didn't do anything.

Basically it was:

-He wanted Tiana, their great-granddaughter. Marina refused as her reason was to let the girl do what she wants and to live her life. He was to "train" her which means corrupt her like he did with their daughter and change her to an abomination.

-Marina tried to get him to reveal where Saana (daughter) is. He of course didn’t as he stated Marina would be reckless. She responded simply she wasn't reacting poorly to him right now. Marina is hoping with “playing nice” that he will bring her to their daughter. He also confirmed there is a way he speaks to her.

-(For those not aware, Saana is currently comatose. She tried to also change into an abomination but failed and is stuck in a half transformed state.)

-Since Ingrid was there, Martti said to Ingrid face how he is still married to Marina and that her dating Ingrid was false and he didn’t see it as cheating. 🤢

-Talks of him saying Marina could have potential if she would just listen to him. Basically let herself get corrupted by the Wyrm.

-The biggest one…Marina said, “Listen, I forgive you for what happened the night we both got turned.”

-In which Marina’s Beast responded with violence, “I WILL NEVER FORGIVE HIM!” and then took over Marina and made her go Lupus. Martti punched her (he rolled 15 successes) and knocked her out by Ingrid’s suggestion of not causing another Masquerade violation.

-When Marina came to she told her grandson, Frank on what is going on. She fears that none of them can stop Martti from taking Tiana and that they can't stop him.

-Marina is secretly as horrible as it is that she believe if they can fix Saana and she as potential that maybe he would be more focused on her that Tiana. Though Marina has been proven before, to be the fiercest guardian to her children.

-Marina got another text from another burner number from Martti who asked her if she was alright. She responded she was.

-He sent back ❤️ 😘

At some point soon, Marina is attending the Gather as Art Morgan called for it for the Gangrels. He's trying to bring them back into the Camarilla which Marina is in support of. Not sure how it will go but I also have a feeling Martti might show up there? But also its scary that he is now in regular contact with Marina and she really can't ignore he ex that can sidestep the Umbra and just pop up where she is.
