It all started with a quiet, realization comment. "Huh. No one knew that I died"

The only person who heard it was Superboy.

It was after Red Robin solved a serial killer that had victims across the US. RR was going on a rant trying to find out who all the victims were so their families could get closure.

Superboy, of course, felt bad that Phantom never got the closure he deserved. He told Red Robin. RR proceeded to go manic, going through every note/observation he had on the ghost teen.

Red Robin even went and started carful conversations with Phantom, guiding him to say little bits of information about his life before he died. According to RR's notes the most identifying/intriguing bits were:

'My parents are like Morice from Beauty and the Beast... Like, scarily so... oh, ya, they helped out their old creepy buddy that was obsessed with me all the time'

'My parents made some interesting stuff that glows green all the time, this is nothing new.' (Said when he didn't react to a Kryptonite laser gun)

'Why is it Europe? This place sucked the first time I was here!'

(Nightwing stopped by and called Red Robin by a Romani term of endearment) 'OH, you speak Roma?'(Proceeds to have a full conversation with Nightwing in Romani. Nightwing does say he spoke an older version than he is used to, like the old ladies in the circus. Danny made some friends in Dorothea's kingdom and they taught him)

'Man, my friend, Friar Tuck (look at him using code names lol), would love to play this game (Risk) with you guys. He loves to plan out war tactics.'

'Mandragora would have loved to listen to the lecture about foraging for medical plants in the field. Maybe her sickness could have been cured faster.' (Sam was on strike against the pharmacy and caught a nasty head cold. The YJ is convinced she died from poison)

(After fighting some ninjas) 'I can't believe those guys were ninjas, they were louder than the other ninjas I have fought!' (I vaguely remember an episode involving ninjas? Or was that an episode of fairly odd parents? Meh, whatever.)

'Gross, rich, evil, and wearing formal ware everywhere? That's the trifecta of things I hate in a guy!' (Phantom yelling at Lex as a distraction for the team.)

(Yelling at Lex in his mechsuit) 'Man, if that suit was any greener, I would have a certain someone sue for plagiarism!' (Skulker is sneezing somewhere)

(After getting chased by Lex in the mech suit) 'I have to say, this chase is a 2/10. You haven't hit me, or threatened to skin me alive or tell me where you want to hang my pelt!' (OH God, was that how this kid was murdered? Red Robin pointed out how Phantom eluded that the ice powers from how he died... Red Robin also gave the team nightmares by saying how a skilled person could skin a being and have them survive the process, but they would die from hypothermia instead of bloodloss.)

All in all, the YJ is convinced by the end of it that Ras Al Ghul tortured this kid during a bout of pit rage. They think that Tucker was a spy in a temple, Sam was a servent that made poisons, and his parents died because of Ras, too.

A Thousand Year Murder

Danny joins the Justice league and at some point, accidentally gives the impression he was murdered by letting it slip that ‘no one knew he died’. The Justice league are also under the impression Phantom is thousands of years old. Now they are trying to solve a thousand year old murder mystery to give their friend closure.

I had to sit and think on it a bit, and I know I'm gonna have to reread/watch it again, but I can't seem to summarize how I feel about Sylus' myth. I can't say I'm disappointed-it confirmed everything I expected and added the context. And I know not every detail is going to be fed to us at this time, or ever. So I guess it's just certain things that stood out to me that I'd like to chew on.

Like again-was it an idol, or a literal dragon that MC cherished and had taken from her? And considering how it's mentioned in Xavier's myth that she was found in the planet's core, could that have happened after she bonded with Sylus?

And speaking of that bond, I'm not too sure I take her cursing Sylus too literally. I think they may have been bound already. When Sylus told the tale of his past and mentioned killing his beloved, I thought for a moment that it could have been an allegory. But 'beloved' is specifically used for the MC. Had he already met them? All the LIs have known at least two versions of MC besides the current game events. Did he languish in the Abyss because he couldn't truly die at the hands of man, and only sought release once he saw those eyes again?

I'm extremely curious about the Philos that doesn't revolve around MC. The conflict and genocide of the dragons, how Sylus was born prepared for this new future while looking nothing like the past (shootout to all the diaspora girlies (gn) and also Shin Godzilla), and how he lived long and known enough for tales to be woven about him. This purge led in Justitia's name at least twice - just what else did Philos lose when the humans came?

I was also hoping to learn more about the Abyss itself. The previews made it sound like it was supposed to be the demon world, to go with the trifecta planes of existence, and that Tarus (Taurus?) City was overrun by fiends; instead, we learned nothing of the former and the latter just seemed to be a city not under Justitia's jurisdiction. Are the fiends different from Wanderers? Was the curse of Wanderers brought along with humans?

I wish we could have seen more of how these two rascals settled into their new life of living and pillaging. Like when did MC figure she was hungry and how did Sylus feed her? How much of a fit did she throw about bathing, or having a place to relieve her bladder, or a proper bed? Did Sylus tear the spleen from a freshly killed deer and expect her to join him there in the woods? Did they actually explore the world or was their 'world' just their continent? I know these are all things best left for fics and future Tender Moments and stuff but yanno!! I didn't much care for the timeskips over the parts I wanted to see most.

What else. The design for Abysm Soverign is halfway dumb. Love the fuck tail but the lack of any cohesive details that point to his true dragon form is weak as well. I found it really distracting and just imagined him more like a fucked up Au Ra tbh.

Oh! And the jumping around at the climax. Like how did MC leave that without Sylus being found out if they were surrounded? There's definitely a lot of stuff I wanna smooth over but I'd have to really plot it out bc I don't care much for rehashing canon unless I'm doing a lot of heavy lifting.

I did thoroughly enjoy the new World Beneath story though. Still flabbergasted over it. And I love seeing why Sylus is capable of great cruelty and kindness, and how neither is a contradiction of his nature.

Something I've bitched and moaned about re: my writing is that I deeply struggle to write ~feelings~ and plot and conflict; I've described numerous fics of mine as "just enough plot to string sex scenes together."

But both of my she-ra wips have PLOT and FEELINGS and CONFLICT and I know this is part of why they're such a GOD DAMNED STRUGGLE OH MY GOD

ffs the 60's au is even a bit of a slow burn; a thing I have confidently said I'd never write because I didn't think I could

I do have a scene in my post-canon thing that involves an actual argument of sorts and that I'm stupidly proud of because I think it's hella in-character

the irony is that it's literally between two sex scenes--only one of which is currently written and which tbh is not my best smut writing

(part of the plot of the post-canon fic is that they're both REAL BAD at talking about things and start doing the "why would we talk about something painful and unpleasant when we can have sex instead, and voila now we both feel better, whew" thing, which works Great until It Doesn't. not that this is based on any relationships I've had. or anything. ha ha ha don't look at me like that.)

but yeah even if I did work on the post-canon fic enough to post the first part of it, this isn't until later so ....it might not ever see the light of day (by which I mean ao3)

ANYWAY DO YOU WANT TO READ IT it's a bit over 1800 words and rated somewhere between mature and explicit. also the sex is thigh-grinding because that's legally required in post-canon spop fics. (JOKING....mostly.)

[this is uhhhh like a couple of months after the end of the show? also the scene starts, like, immediately after they've just had sex one evening]

Catra relaxes into the bed, and they lie in an easy quiet for a moment before she rolls to face Adora. “We could have been doing this the whole time, before–you know.”

Adora doesn’t need to ask what “this” refers to. “What, back in the Horde?”

“Yeah. I mean, we managed to be alone enough, right?”

Adora winces. “I really don’t want to think about what would’ve happened if we’d been caught.”

“But did you want to?” Catra’s clearly trying to sound nonchalant and isn’t entirely succeeding. 

“Maybe? I don’t know? I knew I liked you, just not,” she waves a hand between their naked bodies. “--Like this. I think I forced myself not to think about it, and focused on training instead.”

“That’s true. Overachiever.” But there’s no venom in it, and Adora smiles for a moment before furrowing her eyebrows. 

“Wait, did you think about it?”

Catra rolls her eyes. “Duh. Unlike you, I knew that other people were doing stuff. Like, in supply closets and stuff.”

“Really? Who?”

“Pfft, it doesn’t matter now.” 

“But you thought about doing that with me? Making out in supply closets?” Adora can’t hide her grin. 

But Catra’s ears droop as she looks away. “Yeah. I did. All the time.” 

“Oh.” 

“Y’know, sometimes I actually thought you knew, and were just, I dunno. Pretending you didn’t.”

“Why would I have done that?!”

“I dunno. Because you didn’t want me back?”

Adora sighs and rolls onto her back. “I’m not sure I knew I could want you like that.” She thinks for a moment. “I knew I liked you. I knew I wanted to be around you as much as I could be without getting us into trouble. I knew I didn’t mind you rough-housing with me and that I liked doing it back. I knew I liked it when you slept on my bunk. Past that–I don’t know.” 

“How about this,” Catra says, “If I’d just like, kissed you one day, up on that platform where we used to hang out. Like, I dunno, just before you were made force captain. What would you have done.”

Adora closes her eyes and imagines it: the two of them up there, just like they did day after day, before everything else happened. Before the sight of Catra’s face had ever filled her with anger. And then she imagines that younger Catra turning towards her and kissing her. And the warmth that spreads through her is unmistakable. “I would have kissed you back.” 

“Yeah? You think so?”

“Yeah. But–” Adora cringes to herself. “I don’t–I don’t know that it would have changed any of what came after that, though. It would’ve been harder. But I still would’ve done it.”

Catra is silent for a long moment, enough to make Adora wish she hadn’t said anything. 

“No,” Catra sighs, “I know it wouldn’t have changed anything you did. I wonder if I might’ve left earlier, though.” 

“Wait, really?” Adora sits up to look at her. But Catra’s frowning and she has one arm over her eyes. 

“Before Hordak made me force captain, I actually told Shadow Weaver that maybe you had the right idea when you left. But then Hordak did make me force captain, and I was so fucking stubborn, and my stupid, stupid fucking pride–” Catra’s voice cracks at the end. 

“Catra, it’s okay.” She tries to tug Catra’s arm off her face but she resists. 

“It’s not! I hurt you, and myself, and so many other people, and for what? For what??” 

“Catra, look at me, please.” 

“No!” She yanks her arm from Adora’s grip and sits up but she faces away, curled up and hugging her knees, ears flat against her head.

Adora’s chest aches. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have brought it up.” 

“No, don’t apologize. You didn’t do anything wrong.” Catra sniffles. 

Adora reaches to put a hand on her shoulder. “Catra–”

But Catra jerks away from her and out of bed, and then she’s pulling on her clothes from the floor. Adora can see the tears running down Catra’s face, but she’s ignoring them.

“Catra?”

She still won’t look at Adora. “I’m sorry, I just need to go. I’ll be back.” And then she’s out on the balcony, and gone. 

Adora sits in shock for a moment before jumping out of bed, realizing she’s still naked, running back to pull on her sleep shirt and shorts, and then going out to the balcony to lean over it as she realizes: there’s no possible way she can find Catra if she doesn’t want to be found, especially if Melog finds her first.

She sits on the balcony leaning on the wall for long minutes, not knowing what to do. The night is silent outside of her own crying.

Adora eventually gets up, goes back into the bedroom, and gets back into bed. 

Hours later a shadow is on the balcony, and Catra silently walks back into the bedroom. 

“It’s okay, Catra, I’m awake.”

Catra startles. “Shit! Sorry.” 

“S’fine. I couldn’t sleep.” 

Catra doesn’t move at first, standing awkwardly next to the window. Adora can’t see her expression in the dark, other than the spooky glow of her eyes. She knows Catra can see hers, though, which isn’t fair. 

“Adora.” Her voice is thick with emotion. “I’m sorry.” 

“I know. It’s okay.” 

Catra shifts her weight from one foot to the other. “Can I come back to bed?”

“Yeah. Of course.” Adora pulls the covers back as Catra strips back down to her undies. Adora opens her arms so Catra can crawl into them, her skin chilled from the outdoors. Catra wiggles closer, her face in Adora’s neck, and Adora holds Catra while she sniffles. 

Adora blinks tears out her own eyes. “I’m sorry, too.” 

“I know, but you shouldn’t be. I just–I don’t know how to talk about everything, yet, and I just—I kind of panicked.”

Adora kisses Catra’s forehead, then rolls them over. She takes one of Catra’s hands and kisses her fingertips before lacing their fingers together and pressing their hands onto the pillow next to Catra’s head. 

“It’ll be okay, Catra.”

Catra’s eyes are still full of tears, but the unguarded and trusting way she’s looking up at Adora right now feels like a gift she’s not worthy of. 

“I love you, so much.” 

“I love you, too.” Catra reaches up with her free hand, pushes Adora’s loose hair behind one ear, and pulls her in for a kiss. 

It’s a gentle kiss at first, but then Catra angles her head and deepens the kiss, tugging on Adora’s hair and arching up to press against her with a whine, and Adora gasps at how quickly her whole body lights up with desire.

The fact that they’d already done this just hours before does nothing to dampen the heat between them. Adora straddles one of Catra’s thighs, and pushes her own between Catra’s legs. She breaks off the kiss to gasp before reaching down to grab Adora’s ass and move against her, and then they’re panting into kisses and moving their hips to grind on each other’s thighs. 

They haven’t done this since their second night in Bright Moon and it’s nearly as frantic, and for similar reasons: a desperate need to be as close as possible, to obliterate anything separating them.

Catra can tell that Adora is close and breaks their kiss to tell her, “I’ve got you, I love you–” and Adora shakes and her hips stutter and she cries out. 

She only lies still on Catra catching her breath for a moment before she’s pulling back just enough to slide a hand into her underwear. 

Catra’s hips jerk. “Fuck, Adora–” 

She can’t lie still, she’s moving against Adora’s hand and arching her back and wrapping her arms around Adora’s back and burying her face in Adora’s neck, and a moment later she’s shouting and coming apart.

After she relaxes they barely move, Adora still half on top of Catra despite both being overheated. 

There’s a deep sense of relief, like they’d just washed away all the pain from earlier, like the clear air after a storm. Adora gives Catra’s face a few soft kisses. Catra purrs with deep contentment as she falls asleep, and Adora lets it soothe her to sleep as well.

I just saw your post about Raven’s relationship to sex and I knew it was probably sort of out there in the comics, but I didn’t actually know her total origin.

I’m like, half working on this DCYA graphic novel concept around and older Raven (idk how she ages, but the concept art I’ve made has her in her mid to late thirties), adopting a younger relative found on another planet. I don’t really know the lore well, so I wasn’t sure if younger half brother, or nephew, or something else makes the most sense, and I was basing him loosely off of Razer from Green Lantern the animated series.

The story is ultimately more about him and his love interest because it’s a YA concept, but I thought it was interesting I got some of the Raven lore right on accident. As the story idea revolved around a teenage alien with powers tied to strong emotions falling in love with a robot who secretly has a soul and the drama and angst that comes with it. I had him ask Raven how to have a relationship when you have emotion powers and her answer was basically you don’t.

My logic was stemming from her powers and also the fact I can’t really think of any love interests that make sense to me (Damien and Beast Boy being the only two, and I don’t really care for either as a love interest tbh). But the trauma of what happened to her mother would add a dimension to it, since this adopted son character would not really know much if anything about the demon side of his family.

Anyways, I really need to read the classic comics! Sorry is this is sort of incoherent lol, I’m running on not a lot of sleep. But I just wanted to share my idea and Raven concept. I’m glad I found this blog because a lot of the modern Raven stuff feels like a flanderization of the 03 show. I imagine the departure is even stronger to a fan of the OG raven.

Okay wow, you have no idea how excited this ask made me! I would love to hear more about your graphic novel concept. It sounds really fun!

I think either half brother or nephew could work, though I'd personally lean more towards half brother. In the original version of Raven and Trigon, Raven is his only surviving child after over a hundred failed attempts. However, this was retconned in 2008 and since then Raven has had some form of either brothers or siblings in general (generally she's relegated to being the only girl though).

That being said, there is a noncanon graphic novel that takes place during the 80s timeline where it's revealed that Raven had a forgotten sister who kind of slipped through the cracks. Her sister goes insane without anyone to teach her how to use her powers, and Trigon doesn't know she exists so she's just kind of left to languish on Earth. I feel like this is the most similar to your concept! New Teen Titans: Games, though I'd recommend reading the regular series before you read the graphic novel.

I think she could mostly be a good mentor, but she has a lot of baggage related to how she was trained to use her powers and her trauma from Trigon in general, and she'd probably inadvertently end up passing that along to a sibling who has the same heritage as her.

Yeah, I'm not big on either of those ships either. Raven having to teach her relative about their family would be so interesting and is such a fun concept! Unfortunately, I'd imagine that he would have been conceived in a very similar way to Raven, given the way Trigon behaves. I'd be really curious to know what happened to his mother and how he ended up in Raven's care. Seriously, I'd love to read this story!

I totally recommend the classic comics, I love them dearly. While some elements of them have definitely aged poorly, I don't think any future version of Raven managed to be better than the original. I really agree about modern Raven feeling like a flanderization of 03 Raven, unfortunately. Toon Raven is not a perfect adaptation of Raven's original comic characterization and there are changes that I would've never made myself, but she's a much better version of Raven than whatever is going on in the current comics. Her current appearance and personality is really like someone trying and failing to guess what made toon Raven popular and pumping out an almost completely unrecognizeable character as a result.

Overcast and Overthinking - Rabbit/Tigger Fluff

Hellooo again! The weather's been absolutely dreadful near me and so, I used it as some motivation to write this absolute sapfest. I relate to Rabbit a lot in the sense that he gets in his own head too much, so it felt really therapeutic to write this tbh. Hope you enjoy :3

Gray clouds blanket the sky of the Hundred Acre Woods. The rays of sunlight that filtered through the clouds illuminated the sky in a dim, muddled light. Rabbit couldn’t tell what time it was. It didn’t really matter to him anyway, he wasn’t planning on getting out of bed any time soon. In a way it worked to his benefit. He could try and pretend like he wasn’t painfully aware that he’d spent hours just laying there and yet, he couldn’t get out of bed. If he could snap his fingers and sleep the rest of the day away he would; however, his body wouldn’t allow it. He’d gone to bed early the previous night because of how he felt anyway, hoping that after a nice deep sleep maybe he’d wake up feeling better. Of course, that didn’t happen. Now a sky as dark and gray as his mood mocked him as the gray rays of sun filtered into his house. 

Rabbit sighed and rolled over in his bed, facing away from the window. The room was dark enough to tease him with the promise of sleep but it never came. Usually when moods like this hit, something at least happened to trigger it. However silly it may be, it made more sense than just waking up one morning feeling miserable about yourself. The whole predicament just soured his mood further. Feeling so bad about nothing made him feel bad about feeling bad in the first place! Despite the swirling thoughts in his head, Rabbit actually felt himself slowly drifting off again… until a knock at his door dashed that possibility. Rabbit grumbled and turned over in his bed, facing away from the door. Yet, whoever it was on the other side of the door knocked a second time. Then a third. Finally, they spoke up. 

“Ra-Ra? Are you home?” Rabbit’s eyes shot open and panic gripped him. He couldn’t let Tigger see him like this! He’d think he was so pathetic, he’d ruin his whole day with his imaginary problems, and yet… Rabbit heard himself say. “Just a minute, Tigger.” Rabbit shook his head, kicked the blankets off of himself and trudged off to the front door. He opened it slowly, revealing a smiling, ever bouncy Tigger holding a bowl. He stepped back to let him in and closed the door behind him. 

“Rabbit, you look terribible! I knew you were sick! Here, I made you a bowl of vegibibble soup with extra carrots just the way you like it.” Tigger said setting the bowl of soup onto the dining table. 

“I’m not sick, Tigger.” Rabbit said flatly. “The soup looks lovely, I’ll warm it up later.” Now Tigger was truly concerned. Rabbit passing up carrots?! Tigger studied him with a paw on his chin before he pressed the back of his paw against his forehead. 

“Hm, you don’t feel warm…” Tigger said. He then brought his head to Rabbit’s chest and listened to his heartbeat which also seemed normal. “Sounds fine here too…” “Would you get off me!? I told you I’m not sick!” Rabbit snapped and pulled himself away from the tiger. 

Rabbit regained his composure and looked to Tigger. The poor cat’s eyes couldn’t have looked sadder if he tried. Rabbit’s ears began to burn with shame as he realized what he’d done. 

“N-No, Tigger I didn’t mean it like that. I’m just…. I just…” Rabbit began to try and explain as tears welled in his eyes. Tigger’s expression changed on a dime as soon as he noticed them. He approached him again, pulling him into a tight, squeezing hug. 

“It’s alright, Rabbit. Why don’t ya tell me what’s wrong?” Tigger whispered, stroking down Rabbit’s back. 

Rabbit practically went limp against him and began to sob into his chest. Tigger just held onto him, resting his chin atop Rabbit’s head as the poor bunny cried his sorrows out. Tigger had really only recalled seeing Rabbit cry maybe once before but never had he been so close to him. Seeing him in such a sad, vulnerable state… he held onto him tighter. Eventually, Rabbit began to calm down, and spoke up with a sniffle. 

“I don’t really know what’s wrong. I woke up today and just… I felt awful about myself. I mean, just look at what I did just now. I snapped at you of all people… I’m always doing that. Snapping at our friends, ruining their fun, taking over whatever it is we do when I get the chance…” Tigger laid another kiss on Rabbit’s forehead. “Oh, Ra-Ra. There’s nothing wrong with you at all. So you get irritated with all of our hijinks from time to time. You always mean well by it, don’t ya? You know it’ll lead to some sort of trouble, which it usually does.” 

Tigger brought a paw to Rabbit’s chin and looked into his eyes, smiling warmly. “We all know how much you like to be the one to organize things, you’re not ‘taking over’ anythin’! Your friends love you, Ra-Ra. I love you.” Rabbit wrapped his arms around Tigger’s shoulders and pulled him in for a kiss. He kept himself pressed against him as tightly as he could while their kiss drew on and on until Tigger had to break away for air. Rabbit didn’t let go of him, he just continued to squeeze him as tightly as he was able. 

“Thank you… Tigger. That really… that really meant a lot.” Rabbit said finally. 

Rabbit stepped away from Tigger with a sigh. “I think I’m starting to feel a bit better. I really appreciate you checking up on me, but I want to get some gardening done before it gets dark.” He said, opening his door. “Plus, I need to warm up that delicious soup you brought for me.”

Tigger nodded. “Course, Ra-Ra. I’ll see you tomorrow?” 

Rabbit smiled his first genuine smile of the day. “Yes, bright and early. We have plantings to do tomorrow.”

As Rabbit watched Tigger bounce off onto the path away from his house, he sighed as he watched his stripes disappear over the hill. He felt blessed to have a partner as compassionate as he was. Surprisingly, the soup was still plenty warm when Rabbit lifted the bowl to heat it up, so he sat down with a spoon and began to eat. It was mostly carrots, each bright orange chunk of carrot reminded him of Tigger. The warmth of the soup spread through him, he felt his muscles relax and as he quickly got to the bottom of the bowl, all he could think about was the fact Tigger had gone out of his way to make it for him. 

“Oh Tigger… you’re too sweet for your own good.” Rabbit managed to pull a good amount of weeds before the gray skies finally began to yield their rain. With a fire roaring, Rabbit relaxed in his chair and let his mind wander. Naturally, all he could think about was Tigger. Rabbit felt positively giddy settling into bed that night as he thought about transplanting sprouts with Tigger the next morning.

I also had a funny Catradora (well, general She-Ra) headcanon for you: much of Etheria's folk music, and almost all of its contemporary music, sounds a LOT like disco and dance-club hits; since it was likely one of many things the Horde attempted to wipe out of existence, the princesses make it a point to help ensure it remains a cultural staple of dance clubs, parties, weddings, and more (much to the annoyance of some). picking a favorite ship is so hard, because im a multishipper and real big on leaving my options open so that i have the most opportunity in any given story!! like, brudick and sladick are both ones i love for dark stories, but they each give such different angles and paths that you can take. all combinations of robins are dear to me for different reasons. and even within the context of one ship, i can usually come up with a lot of different directions that they can go it!!

i can't even say "X is my favorite for Y types of stories" because with a good pairing theres so much you can do with a variety of types of stories!! so. def cant pick a favorite, but i can list some that i like! they mostly involve Dick, bc my biases are quite obivious, lol.

Dick ships: Bruce, Slade, Talia, Slade/Talia, Tim, Jason, Steph, Damian (but it depends a lot on context, i see Dick as being very careful about not taking advantage), any poly robins combo, Slade/Rose, Tara

other ships: Slade/Rose, Slade/Talia, any robins together, Bruce/Talia (but only if Talia is having daddy issues about it), Nyssa/Talia (Nyssa repeatedly kills and revives her to make her understand her anger at Ra's. the rituals. they're intricate i swear-)(but also in arkham knight Nyssa compares her love for Talia to Bruce's explicitly romantic love for Talia and i've never been normal about that), any combo of the Al Ghuls tbh they're so mentally ill about each other

fic ideas!!! i have some shorter ones, like a Blackfire/Robin non-con based on that one scene from tt03, but i kinda wanna take this chance to ramble about my longer ideas!

u may have seen some of these, but i have a series called "days without incident" which is a bunch of shorter than usual fics stringing together random semi canon compliant scenes of Dick being in dangerous sexual situations, which are eventually going to end in a rlly angsty fic of Dick being assaulted and just accepting it. it sounds dark, and it is, but due to the length and format they really just serve as quick writing warm-ups more than anything.

DIDick AU. a friend of mine has been on the receiving end of so many DMs of me fleshing out these alter OCs, to the point that it would feel weird if I didn't write anything for it. the problem is that when I think about it, it all revolves around characters and there's no real plot line to use for it. I could just rant about it, bc figuring out what I want to do for a story about them is really tricky. it's also tough bc it's a teeny bit more personal than I usually go for. do /I/ have DID? unclear. I probably wouldn't tell you either way. anyways, it's an idea i want to more with but it's just more complicated to work on than most others.

suicide fic. "Where The Dead Stay Dead", title in reference to this being in a "Jason Stays Dead AU". i want to take a sort of dark comedy direction, but i have trouble controlling how the tone ends up when I write. Dick tries to kill himself post Jason's death + many other bad times but Slade just happens to pop in to try and bother him that day, and is uh. he doesn't know how to feel about it, the kid dying in front of him, but he drags Dick to a safe house and does some made-up comic book science fuckery to give Dick his healing factor. Dick is not very happy about this when he wakes up. the rest of the story follows an arrangement where Dick searches for a way to perma die and is generally a depressed grumpy bitch about everything, and Slade secretly tries to get him to stop doing that while trying to figure out a way to revive Jason. whichever ends up being easier. a lot of it would probably just be about Slade feeling lost with this "new" version of Dick, as well as the two of them swapping stories about dead loved ones and learning how to mourn.

timcel fic. that was the placeholder title, before i settled on "Nature's Order (As Told From Alpha To Beta)", but i still call it the timcel fic for short <3 the alpha in that title is Ra's, and the beta is Tim. the kick off for the story is that Ra's kidnaps omega Dick to use as a human incubator bc he and Talia had a spat that's left him heir-less, and he kidnaps Tim to make Dick more compliant. it's a really extreme take on "right wing alpha male pipeline, but omegaverse". it's gonna be a lot of bad times for Dick <3 i've talked about it so much with my friend that one time they mentioned basing smth partially off of Nature's Order Tim, and I think that's a good sign that I should really be writing this properly at this point. I have started chapter one! but bc it's gonna be a long one I want to get three chapters done before I start posting, bc having a few extra chapters written will help with my nerves a bit.
