I would just like to talk about the usage of jake bugg’s lightning bolt as the song of choice for that teaser because dear god it was so perfect and really drew everything together to make it that much more epic

#kingdom hearts #kh1 #end of the world #scenery #my gif #this world is so fascinating...#i'm impressed by how the devs can create unsettling and ominous worlds while still using such vibrant colors #like they don't use grey tones as a juxtaposition to the lively disney worlds. they may darken the palette but it's still colorful #also the music here is on a whole other level. they certainly know how to set a tone and atmosphere #i never really noticed how the gummis in the chasm are constantly changing colors. same with those sticky looking web things #i had to include two gifs from that place because it's my favorite area #and now i'm finally done with creating a gifset for every world in kh1 :] three games down... many more to go

Part of me feels julien genuinely loves and cares for jd, and that the guilt of what happened and the shame of what he did follows him like a lost dog. Hes never going to know what happiness feels like as long as he doesnt have his boy. And that eats at him. He feels pathetic for begging but at the same time what does he have left to lose? Dignity? He lost that the day john found out about the lip syncing. About everything.

John might be in a similar boat, having the guilt eating at him. He hates what julien did. But does he hate him himself? Fuck if he knows. All he does know is that the ache in his chest is a pain in the ass and that no matter what he cant go back to alcohol to subside it. So what can he go to? What can he do? He needs to be strong, to set his foot down. But even though he acts like he despises the guy, he still has that fucking wedding ring. He still has that ache. Sure there were others, but those were casual even in marriage. But this? This had a plan. A promise.

And that was broken. Years ago.

I wonder if they’ll ever fix it.

there is something to be said about l*rian removing the completely valid rp option for the player to retaliate against ast*rion's attack on the beach (luring you to help him under false pretenses and putting a dagger to your throat) early on in early access (iirc it was patch 2 or 3), while adding more options to kill gale when you meet him in the full release version of the game (dies by failing a roll, dies by durge gnawing off his hand, dies by leaving him in the portal, can be attacked after pulling him out of the portal).

gale, whose crime it is... to be in need of assistance and ask for help.

maybe this is a hot take but i do wonder if the initial gnarlrock incident, following argument, and (imo) anticlimactic and almost complete brushing off of that conflict occurring between Imogen and Laudna had actually led to a real conversation about Delilah/her influence and Imogen and Laudna's relationship in general (pre-established romance) would have made discussing Delilah later in the campaign easier

#critical role #bell's hells #laudna #imogen temult #dare i tag this with #imodna #and attract the wrath of the shippers #but i do think that initial conflict really set the tone for how a lot of imogen and laudna's disagreements have been through the campaign #to this point (written post-c3e95)#if they had actually had to have a conversation about it that would have been constructive for their relationship going forward #and i specifically note in the post that it was pre-romance because i think sometimes the shipper mind convolutes stuff once a ship happens #like i am all for the “love saves all” but also love doesn't absolve and fix every problem (perhaps i'm just not a romantic at heart)#and also that was an imogen-drive conflict initially not a laudna-driven one until delilah broke the gnarlrock
