I do think Blazing Saddles handled its one depiction of native americans very poorly, and the full extent of its representation of chinese workers on the railroad is they were literally just there. not even one single speaking line. unclear if this is worse or better than the redface.

it's fucking phenomenal at lampooning antiblack racism though. extremely blatant, extremely funny satire, which is constantly and loudly saying "racism is the philosophy of the terminally stupid at best and morally depraved at worst, and we should all be pointing and laughing at them 24/7"

plus the main character is a heroic black man who has to navigate a whole lot of bullshit but is constantly smirking at the extraordinarily stupid racists and inviting the audience into the joke. the one heroic white character is a guy who was suicidally depressed until he met the protagonist and they just instantly became buds, and he's firmly in a supporting role the whole time and happy to be there. the protagonist saves the day with the help of his black friends from the railroad, and uses the position of power he was given to uplift not only those friends, but all the railroad workers of other minorities too, in an explicit show of solidarity.

anyone saying "Blazing Saddles is racist" had better be talking about its treatment of non-black minorities. it had better not be such superficial takes as "oh but they say the n-word all the time" or "they have nazis and the kkk in there!" because goddamn if that's the full extent of your critique I very seriously suggest you read up on media analysis. there is too much going over your head, you need to learn to recognize satire.

Went to a random palette site and picked ones that were reminiscent of Wally's colors but still very different that I liked and grabbed some outfits to do a sort of challenge for myself. Idk, thought it would help me out of my funk.

Suffice to say, I'm feeling a bit better now~ These were really fun to do!!!

I think you’re wasting yourself. I’m a hardcore feedism fetishist, I have always been. The thing is that nowadays feedees aren’t feedees anymore they’re all gainers or people with food disorders. There’s no shared experience anymore.

You regularly talk about being someone’s feedee wife but don’t you think that a feeder husband would want to enjoy the process as well ? A process which you are already going through on your own and thus not sharing it with someone ?

first—not having a current feeder does not make someone any less of a feedee. in fact, you must be comfortable with being fat alone in order to have any strength as a fat person/feedee, imo. otherwise you get people that hate themselves the moment they don’t have someone to rely on.

second—do you know how hard it is to find someone in this fetish?? lol!!!! i’ve had several odd feedist relationships. i don’t enjoy being public about this on tumblr because some people get weird as fuck about it. parts of the gain have very much been a shared experience 🤷‍♀️ i would love to have shared it with someone consistently but it just hasn’t worked out so far.

plus… i’m like halfway thru my gain, lol. i want to be BIG. if anything, my size now dissuades those that wouldn’t want to be with me at those higher weights. i count it as a good thing—my time won’t be wasted, i am not wasting myself.

The Hellbender, or Corridor salamander is a kind of reptile that enjoy lurking on crypts and very dark, damp, and ancient dungeons. They're very fond of sitting on corridors (hence their other common name) and use their long, almost endless tails as sensory organs to detect unfortunate explorers that were looking for some sort of treasure. The first thing they see once they step on their tails, alongside hearing a screech is a big gaping jaw full of knife like teeth coming at them in a serpentine like motion.

My entry for the Monster Mayhem competition, hosted by @catmask and @frogcroaks! This is my entry for the Desert Oasis theme, a horrible little critter I've called The Haven Crawler! I decided to take a more bestiary/encyclopedia type approach to this, and I'm actually quite happy with how it came out :D

Color ref and explanation of my inspo for this guy below!!

The Haven Crawler was actually inspired by a story I was told ages ago about Cone Snails. I had a friend from Hawaii who once told me about how tourists would hold the shells up to their ears thinking they were empty to snap a cute photo, and then just end up dead on the beach. "Dead before you even hit the ground" was the exact wording they used, and while I'm not sure if it's accurate to how venomous cone snails actually are, the story stuck with me so much that I had to use it as inspo here. Absolutely horrifying stuff.

Anyways here's the palette for this little nightmare!! I had a blast designing this little guy, and no matter what happens I'm honestly really happy I decided to participate. I learned so much designing it! I hope you enjoy C:
