For a fic that's on the shorter side, how do you feel about the first 2-10 lines of dialogue being bolded/highlighted, with the intent to draw the reader in quickly to the action?

In case you're not familiar with All Hallow's Read, it's a Halloween tradition started by Neil Gaiman where you can give out books and candy. I always make it a point to buy "scary" books for the kids because let's face it, kid and young adult horror is a great way to get kids to read! And that's why I do this. I need the reading apprehnsion of the youth to RISE!!!

Also I love continuing the cycle of childhood trauma I received from my middle and high school reading lists. (looking at you bridge, fern, and remnants...

To practice my writing, I decided to do a brief scene with two original characters I created. And now, ironically enough, I’ve found myself invested in where this storyline is headed. So, I’ve decided to do a quick poll to see if anyone would actually want to read my writing eventually. The goal is to have a feeling of “H.P. Lovecraft meets Fallout 4”
