It's such a unique experience that gets you hooked. Just like Dangerous Girls it's told through current time and flashbacks. Sometimes the chopping and changing with almost every chapter can off putting but it's not. The authors writing style is just addictive and easy to read✨ . . ✨Dangerous Boys follows Chloe. A good girl. Quiet. Smart. She can't wait to get out of the small town she grew up in. However, with her mum falling into a depression she knows she has to look after her. So when Ethan rocks up at the diner he is a welcome distraction for her. They are so cute together. He's sweet. And adores Chloe. They have a perfect relationship. **Enters Oliver"*. Ethan's older brother. He's nothing like Ethan. He's got a dark aura to him. Dangerous. Addictive. And Chloe is drawn to him. And I 100% totally get it. Who doesn't love a bad boy?? 😈✨ . . ✨I was drawn right into the story. Hooked from the first page. I found myself completely swept up within Chloe's life. Torn between two men. Her chaotic home life. My only issue with this book was I found it sort of predictable. Which was slightly disappointing after being completely blown away by Dangerous Girls. I was expecting another 🤯🤯🤯 moment but it never came.✨ . . ✨That being said, Dangerous Boys was still freaking good. And I highly recommend Dangerous Girls and Dangerous Boys. #MariBookClub. Cuando vi la película, supe que tenía que buscar el libro y realmente fue delicioso. Al fallecer su madre Jing-Mei Woo es invitada a tomar su lugar en el Joy Luck Club la noche en la que juegan mah jong sus tías. Es el punto de partida para enterarnos la vida de estas mujeres (An-Mei, Lindo y Ying-Ying) en la China y todo lo que tuvieron que pasar antes de emigrar a Estados Unidos. Historias maravillosas con mucha tradición y hermosas parábolas contadas por cada una de ellas. También las hijas (Jing-Mei, Waverly, Lena y Rose) narran sus vidas, la complicada relación con sus madres, la educación que recibieron de estas y cómo tratan de balancearlas con las costumbres y formas americanas. 📚Book Review: Rules for Vanishing 📚 . . 🖤My Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 . . 🖤I went into this book with no expectations. I had never heard of it before until I was offered it for review. I just thought it sounded interesting and good book for Halloween. I didn't expect it to be so god damn good🖤 . . 🖤Rules for Vanishing is so hard to really explain. It's basically about a group of teenagers who go looking for one of their friends after she vanished chasing a mystery road. Seems like a pretty straight forward tale right? Wrong!!! Damn this author knows how to write a story. You are completely sucked into the book. Between the story and how it's actually written I genuinely think this would make an amazing movie!!!🖤 . . 🖤I've never read anything like this before. It's told in such a unique way to me through different form of "files". Which I think makes it even more fast paced. I was so invested in the characters that I actually need more. I need to know what happens next. You almost become part of the group. I felt what they felt. When they are scared, when they felt relief or happy. I felt it all. 🖤 . . 🖤The author has created a perfect Halloween read. It's unique and thrilling. And it's downright creepy!!! Who doesn't love a good creepy read eh? I swear the attention to detail at some parts stayed with me even after reading because I couldn't get some of the images out my head. That's a talent!!!🖤 . . 🖤If you're looking for a new read that will leave you guessing right up until the end then pick this up for the Halloween season. 📚 Book Review: Aurora Rising📚 . . 🖤Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 . . 🖤Argh!!! How can I even review this one?? Honestly? Help me. I don't know where to even start. Csn I just say "Just go freaking read it" and be done? No? Why not? That pretty much sums it up though. Oh all right then. I'll do my best.🖤 . . 🖤Aurora Rising is by far my fave read of 2019. I know we aren't finished the the year yet but if I find another that can take the title then I'll eat my socks. This book is a fantastic, exciting YA Sci-fi Space adventure. I have never read anything by these authors before and now I need more. I was hooked from the start. I could have devoured the book one sitting. But I tried to pace it. I didn't want it to end🖤 . . 🖤The story is like nothing I've ever read before. The way the authors write I genuinely forgot I was reading a book. It came alive in my mind and it was like a movie. This made me check Google as it would make an epic movie. And to my excitement we aren't getting a movie We are getting a TV Show excuse me while I scream!!!! The characters all bring something to the table. I think I loved every single one. Which is rare. They all have a chemistry that just seems to natural and easy. They bicker. They laugh. Even in the darkest times in the story, they managed to bring laughter. And my god. The sarcasm! Sarcasm is my sense of my humour and this had it. In abundance!🖤 . . 🖤My only negative? Having to wait for the next installment. I don't know how I'll cope. I need it now!!!!🖤 . . 🖤If you haven't had a chance to read this on yet. Do it. Drop everything. 📚Book Review: A Curse So Dark and Lonely 📚 . . 📚After reading this book for nearly a month. I finally finished it last night. I'm actually confused about how I feel about it. I really struggled to get into it. I wasn't gripped like I wanted to be. However, I can't pin point why. There was something missing for me.📚 . . 📚ACSDAL is an unique retelling of the classic fairytale, Beauty and Beast. Harper is a teenager from DC. She has cerebral palsy but she doesn't let this define her. She is really likeable because she is kick ass. She is strong willed and refuses to back down no matter life has thrown her way. When she is sucked into the world of Emberfall she truly shines. You can't help but like her. Obviously at first she hates Grey and Rhen. I would have aswell if I was kidnapped and forced into a cursed world. As the story progresses though you can see how the characters develop friendships and bonds. Rhen is the crowned prince who has endured hundreds of years reliving curse over and over again hoping Grey will find the girl who would break it.📚 . . 📚The author has created a very unique take on Beauty and the Beast. The story is packed with action and has some really strong characters. However, as I mentioned I just felt like there was something missing. I don't know what it was. As I did enjoy the story. I am looking forward to seeing where the author takes the characters next. It's just so frustrating that I have no idea why I didn't love it because in theory I should. Maybe it was because it didn't grip me straight away.
