So far I've gotten through the initial battle at the cabin, rescuing John, and then the hunting tutorial with Charles.

One of my main memories of my original playthrough is becoming an unstoppable war machine with dead eye by the end, so having to go through these first few missions with no dead eye and two years out of practice was a rude awakening. I didn't die over and over on the wolves like my first time around, but it was still embarrassing how many times I missed. And how many times I missed those deer with the bow.

I'd completely forgotten how much I suck with the bow. I can't wait until I have a scoped rifle again so I can actually be decent at hunting.

One thing I've done that I didn't do before was pay more attention to everyone at the Colter camp. A lot of little moments I'd never seen before, like Mary Beth telling off Arthur for picking on John. I missed these characters so much.

I love rdr2 as a game, but forgot how much I hate every part of the story that revolves around both Micah and/or Dutch. It’s just a pattern of one of them coming up with literally the worst plan, Arthur expressing his doubts, them saying: ‘Arthur you need to relax. This will be easy.’ Then everything predictably goes to shit. Rinse and repeat. Like if a game is going to make me work with idiots, at least give me an option to fucking shoot them.
