Lesbians of color, specifically mascs, butches, n studs, I'm currently writing a paper on masculinity as a lesbian and would appreciate if anyone would be willing to share their experiences/thoughts either in comments, rbs, or through asks (can be anonymous). My sources atm are Pretty Butches, The Watermelon Woman, Women, Race & Class, Zami: A New Spelling of My Name, and some academic papers I've collected from the library. Here are some of the questions I'm looking to answer: How do lesbians of color navigate gender expression and identity, particularly masculine presentations, as people who exist outside of the established (Western) gender binary? Is presenting masculine a way of further deconstructing the gender roles that have been assigned to non-men of color despite us not being “participants” in the Western construction of womanhood? Or is it a way of disregarding them entirely?

And my very rough thesis atm is, masc/butch lesbians of color and studs use masculine gender expression as a way of redefining masculinity as a whole, creating a “new” masculinity that completely decenters men and traditional Western gender boundaries altogether. The questions here are very broad but I intend to go into further detail, particularly on hypermasculinization and hyperfeminization, among other things.

my family was forced to move out of our house on monday, and ive been staying at a friends house since. i have no way to do commiss1ons currently and we're needing money to fix our car + money for an apartment we're looking at :-)

we're doing everything in their power to make sure we get our lives back on track, but its been really difficult the past few months so any help is greatly appreciated. its gotten so bad to the point where im unable to continue my schooling because of how uncertain my future is

i appreciate everyones patience with me over the past few months, i know i havent made much fanart and its been really affecting my mental health. currently all my time goes towards doing commissions and trying to keep myself sane :'-)

I’m tired of being nice about it. Tumblr needs to ban the radqueer tag and related tags.

Kids are interacting sexually with full grown predators. Kids are being groomed into thinking that being ‘pro-contact’ is okay. Kids are being told they can consent, along with animals. Kids are being told that it’s okay for them to literally produce CP of themselves. People are freely calling themselves nazis and rapists.

Is this what you want your platform to be? Kids being groomed? It’s sickening that we have to be the ones to drive predators off the platform. Do better. Get rid of this community.
