With their 14th game being played, Barcelona will be looking to improve after yet another disappointing draw to midtable Rayo Vallecano. Barca yet again conceded first in the 39th minute to a long range effort from Unai Lopez. It was very well taken goal and there was not much Inaki Pena could do to save it as he had dove to the otherside first to potentially stop a shot that was blocked by the defenders, and did not have enough time to get up and dive towards the incoming ball. It is also his first ever La Liga game as a starter and he has not played a game since last season. Rayo sat back for the rest of the game and after a quick break from Barca, and a superb cross from Balde towards Lewandowski, the ball deflected off of defender Florian Lejeune foot and found its way into the back of the net to make it 1-1 in the 82nd minute. The game finished nearly 20 minutes later as 7 minutes of extra time turned into 10. Barca were unlucky to concede the first goal and should have done better to prevent the situation. There were a couple of controversial calls from the referees that maybe should have resulted in a penalties awarded to Barca, but we shouldn't need those as the team we are.
