i havent been popping in for every dvz stream rawb has been doing and i always feel very uh. alone in the mcyt end of talking about him bc everyone just kinda forgot about his influence when he went to do gta rp instead, but hes doing roleplay focused dvz streams (not classic dvz games) and just did a stream for LOM 2 where he had his server open for for the discord and just had people come on to build the courthouse for the (...potential) LOM 2. and like? it was so mature? and coherent??? im just so impressed. i got on and built for like an hour too.

Aaaand there you go. I absolutely love the DVZ community for its sense of maturity and connection, that whole game is about building a keep to defend yourself and the stream just showed how the playerbase is so good together...

ULTRAVIOLET VISIONS: Edition Zero

Hello and welcome to the brand new blog/magazine titled "ULTRAVIOLET VISIONS"! This has been something in the works for a long time now and I'm super excited to be able to finally share it with you all. If you aren't familiar with me or the label, my name is Robert (aka Rawb), I go by the artist name portal.rwb/portal.flx, and I run the music label "ULTRAVIOLET-FUTURE" on Bandcamp. ULTRAVIOLET FUTURE (aka UVF) is a music label that I started in August 2022 and within the last year, it has become home to eight excellent releases focusing in the Vaporwave/Vaporadjacent genres. So what is ULTRAVIOLET VISIONS? This blog will come in both a digital blog and physical print, where I will talk about various topics and releases in the Vaporwave scene. Topics may range from new releases, upcoming events, album reviews, and just general music discussion. I want this blog/magazine to inspire more discussion about what's going on in our small little corner of the internet, so I implore anyone to continue on the discourse by replying to these posts by sending over suggestions topics for future blogs and letting me know your thoughts on any topics I talk about here. Our first full edition of ULTRAVIOLET VISIONS is currently still in the works but is almost ready to publish and print! Between every full editions, I hope to use this blog to post mini articles on specific Vapor related topics or doing album reviews of upcoming Vaporwave releases. Is this what my ex meant when he kept saying to me “I’m not worthy of your love”. Yet I kept reassuring him that he was worthy… 😭 I know my ex was trying to warn me all along that he was bad for me. He told me on Christmas Day “You deserve way better than me, why do you love me?” 😣 I was offended like “All that I do for you baby, why you gotta question my love??? Why isn’t my love enough??”

We’re total opposites! While he avoids acknowledging the intimacy shared between us, I’m afraid to let it go and I got super clingy and desperate to keep him. I now realize there were so many signs and words said by him to “warn me” he wasn’t good for me and was only going to disappoint me but I was too focused on the “potential” I thought I saw for a great amazing relationship. I just wanted so bad to be his everything and make him so happy but I couldn’t even make myself happy. I was living a lie! ❤️‍🩹

I’m Rawb, I’m a character designer and art director based in Pittsburgh. I’ve worked on indie games for 4 years such as Calico and I’m the creator of Magical Hazel and a tennis dating sim.

Mindcrack fell apart because Guude thought it was HIS business and that everyone else had to follow his standards. Nothing against the guy it was early Minecraft and content creator days he was playing by rules he didn't know yet and his ego got him in the end.

Mindcrack got to a point where they weren't just friends on a server posting videos and doing bits. It became Disney and Guude needed his Disneyland with the Mindcrackers having contracts to do stuff in that Disneyland so fans could interact with the creators.

Which was fine there was a lot of fun things that happened on Planet Mindcrack with Lord's of Minecraft and Dwarves vs Zombies (on an unrelated note Old Man Willikars/Rawb has been bringing both back if you miss those days of RP) and it would've been fine if it was left to organically happen.

But because it was becoming a business first and foremost with it's CEO treating his fellow creators as his employees it created a lot of resentment.

It's why Etho left immediately without a word and you could tell everyone was a lot less happy on that server. It wasn't passion projects anymore it was work projects.

A lot of creators got screwed over by Guude's greed and it's took nearly a decade for another OG Mindcrack style creators server to come back.

Hermitcraft isn't a business but rather a bunch of people who want to show the world their passions. Don't hate on Mindcrack or Guude that stuff was years ago and at this point it's just old scars. Just understand Mindcrack is a warning to creator servers that they must all be treated as equals or suffer the same fate

NGL I love it when the hermits tell us about their own roles in the server infrastructure. Like you've got X in charge of managing the server hardware, Doc on lag busting, Hypno is in charge of the website, Keralis is hardware sugar daddy, Impulse stepped up to coordinate group recordings, Joe causes problems by accident, people pitch storylines and run events and the server runs and runs, season after season

managed to hop on for another dvz stream (theyre multiple parts, and the server opens in 'episodes' for the stream and you get whitelisted seperately for multiple chances)

got in for the first episode and like last time i actually recorded what i was doing just for fun! but im not posting it anywhere (or maybe a few clips). but wow the dvz server has had some improvements!! lots of cool custom stuff now. theres new animations for all the tasks (trees get cut down fully, stone pops out of gravel, etc). dead bodies on the ground even! with "blood" (redstone lol). and it seems we are playing full games now, as the undead part did happen (first few streams were all keep building)

i wish it was easy to get people into rawb's stuff from a mcyt angle. im sure loads of people would LOVE this kind of active involvement of rp. you get to be on the server w the content creator and actually have time to rp, potentially even directly (i love how rawb actually gets involved w random players).

but it is such a... tight knit community and if you dont really know rawb, or dvz, it may be hard to approach i think. anyways ill post some screenshots and clips in a bit :) waiting around for round 2 to see if i get in
