Cricket freed one of the matchas (that were both decidedly hers now) from it's space in the cupholder, eyes locked directly on Ravi while she took a long sip of it and pretended to truly ponder his questions.

Did she think it was funny? Did she think she was funny? And a secret, third question that only she could ask herself: was she okay with it not being if it meant pissing Ravi off even more?

"Hm...yup." She eventually conceded with a nod, popping the p. "In fact, I know I am. Some would say hilarious, even."

Including Sola, though she hated to admit that Ravi's reaction to her morning walk up song had her reconsidering, briefly, whether she truly would've felt the same had she been there in his place, but she ultimately shook that doubt away.

Sola would've seen the humor in it because Cricket wanted her to. Ravi didn't, because she still would've walked in with the song blaring (even louder) had she known she'd find just him on the other side, and she would've hoped it made him feel like shit.

See, it was all about intention.

Though tempted to keep the song going, just to see how long it'd take him to truly break, Cricket hit pause on her lockscreen, where she hoped to find a text from Sola explaining her absence but was met with something just about as useful as his observation, which was to say: nothing.

Not dignifying his smart ass answer with a reply, Cricket sent off a quick message.

(Loosely translated to: i got us strawberry matchas and 3 danishes but if u don't show up rn one of us is gonna stab the other and die and it will be ur fault and if it's me i will come back as a ghost and haunt u. love you!)

"Yeah, because your girlfriend probably has her in a basement somewhere." Okay, so maybe she would dignify him with a response.

Rolling her eyes, Cricket pocketed her phone and worked on throwing her hair up on her way to the hand washing sink.

"Busy what? Absolutely mutilating those poor red peppers?" His station did look a bit like a crime scene, which didn't exactly bode well for her, but she'd long since stopped fearing they might actually stab each other, anyways. If it hadn't happened by now, they were probably safe. Probably. "Hope you can hold your breath then, 'cause it's looking like it might just be you and me today, Rav."

Ravi's chop of the red peppers in front of him was lacking a finesse that he usually displayed despite the fact they were to be blitzed anyway so it didn't exactly matter. Still, there was an irritation lurking behind every slice of his knife that he tended to try and leave outside of the kitchen when he was in it.

He's usually successful, but the gnawing anger about the broken window was developing sharper teeth with each second he thought about it and the only thing that could have made his morning suck worse was the very same person who waltzed in with a theme tune.

There's no amusement on Ravi's face at the antics or the agent of chaos partaking in them, any goodwill he might have dug into the depths of his patience to scrape the barrel for for her evaporated with her joke.

"Do you think that's funny? Do you think you're funny?"

There was so much unbridled disbelief wrapped around his question, he could have been mistaken for being in conversation with a conspiracy theorist who believed in something that was in fundamental opposition to what he knew to be true.

In this case, it was that her act was anything more than grating.

"She's not here, is that not obvious to you?" His knife is held loosely in his hand as indicates to the confined space that only contained the pair of them. He had thought Sola wasn't mad at him for the whole window debacle, but now he's not so sure.

No one knew better that he would have rather taken his chances with Robin and one her bricks over prolonged time in a confined space with Cricket, leaving him to wonder if this was a subtle way of punishing him.
