★ Happy New Year’s Eve, friends! What were your favorite reads of the year? Once I finish Babel today, I will have read 240 books in 2022! I am always terrible at choosing my Top 10 or Top 3, or whatever—so what I like to do is close the year out with a photo of my five-star-reads and favorite series of the year! Four of my favorite series I binged this year were @sophie_lark_author’s Brutal Birthright, @devneyperry’s Jamison Valley, @authorhollyrenee’s The Boys of Clermont Bay, and @sarahmcradit’s The Book of All Things series! I had a ton of five-star-reads this year (though maybe not as many as last year?) and always enjoy reflecting back on what I’ve read at the end of the year. It’s curious when I notice patterns in what I was reading or realize they corresponded with my mood at the time. While I do most of my reading via audiobook, I’m happy with how many of these were actually ebook reads as well. Much of the time now, I listen to ebooks using my iPad’s VoiceOver feature, which has been a relief, as physical reading has become growingly less accessible for me. And it's not just her beauty, either- all of Midas's saddles are beautiful- but it's her confidence, the way she can read a man and know how to seduce him.
