Ding 70
I somehow managed to time it perfectly so I dinged 70 by handing in a quest to Alexstrasza on my first visit to Valdrakken. It was soooo close, I was afraid I’d ding from discovering parts of the map on the way there, but it worked out perfectly.
Herbalism = 50, Skinning maxed, Cooking 30, Fishing 41, equipped item level 307
Renown levels: Dragonscale Expedition = 4 Iskaara Tuskaar = 3 Maruuk Centaur = 7 Valdrakken Accord = 5
And thus we go from my favorite part of an expansion (exploring and leveling) to my least favorite (figuring out how to gear up, how various reps and systems work, etc., while suddenly feeling less powerful than I did while leveling up, until I get some gear). I still have quite a few quests to do, though, and I guess there’s a Nozdormu cutscene I haven’t found yet. (YouTube almost spoiled it for me, but quick clicking saved me.) And I can do homework on what factions to suck up to in order to get upgrades, etc. I should probably do a dungeon at some point, too... lol
Anyway, I hit the new level cap and got to hang out with a bunch of gorgeous blue dragons for awhile, so no complaints here (except wondering where the hell Azuregos was...even Senegos could drag his ancient dragon butt to the Azure Span, but Azuregos played hooky. Harumph.)
Oh! The whelp day care in Valdrakken! I had seen still pictures of it but to actually be there and see the babies napping, listening to stories, digging in the sandbox, etc. was too cute for words! OMG MY HEART!
If only my son had had such a wholesome environment to be a whelpling in, instead of hanging around Ravenholt with a bunch of assassins and thieves... Speaking of whom, now that I’m max level I should go see what dailies I can do for him.
That will have to wait, though. Bedtime is fast approaching, and I feel like I’m rambling in a slightly less coherent manner than usual. Playing WoW for hours until I’m super tired will do that.

If you're asking who's going to hug Wrathion, the answer is:
Kalecgos
Ebyssian
Magni
Prolly Malygos if he were both alive and sane
Chromie (Forgiveness... can you imaaaaaagine, forgiveness)
Nozdormu would, just because he's glad there's finally someone there to do what Neltharion couldn't
Ysera, same as Nozdormu
I would!
Onyxia would evil mentor hug him
Khadgar would non-evil mentor hug him
Medivh would morally grey mentor hug him
Kairozdormu
Sariadormi would hug him because she gives wine aunt who gets slightly drunk and hugs anyone within 20 feet of her
Jorach Ravenholt would because he should just adopt Wrathion
Left and Right would hug him against his will while he pretends to hate it
Tess Greymane would hug him both because they are both somewhat adopted by Jorach and to spite her father
Flynn Fairwind would hug him for being so able to swindle people
Shaw hears that Wrathion is 13 and immediately goes to pity hug him because christ dude, the poor drake needs it.
Alexstrasza wouldn't because she's a b!tch who experimented on him and rap3d his mother.
Who's gonna hug him though.

They switched roles with the order hall leaders
For @thedeerfish. So, the brave Adventurers thought that both the factions and the Order Halls would benefit if they switched leadership roles with the faction leaders, if only for a while. I am sure we can imagine how the Adventurers handled the factions (summary: a disaster with occasional rave party), the question is how the leaders handled the Order Halls. Because there are more leaders of one Class, let’s say they just took turns or something.
Archeus: Because none of the leaders is a Death Knight, Archeus was left unsupervised for a whole month. The Knights of the Ebon Blade enjoyed it, played Hearthstone and slacked around. Then Lich King Fordragon remembered that somebody should keep an eye on the Death Knights, so he sent in Kel’thuzad. Upon seeing the state of things, the Archlich opened a Hearthstone training school, because, and now I quote, the style those frozen undead bastards play with is a tap-dancing tragedy.
Dreadscar Rift: No leader is a Warlock either, and because unlike the Death Knights, Warlock have no ultimate high commander of the Lich King level, they have been left alone to their anarchy. Which is fine with the Warlocks. A good Warlock is usually found in a state of some anarchy. (A bad Warlock is usually found in pieces if found at all.)
Dreamgrove: Druids were also left without a leader. Not like they minded, they called it a day, descended into their barrows and went in for a nap. Because there is only one thing the Druids like more than trees, and that thing is a good sleep. What a life, don’t you think?
Fel Hammer: Due to a mistake in a missing comma, Taedal has been put in charge of the Demon Hunters (as he is a Demon, Hunter). At first, the Illidari took it pretty badly, but soon they have found out Taedal is a very easygoing guy who is up for any kind of mischief. And beds. Fel Hammer got tons of fine, luxurious beds. And a training course for their tattoo artists. And lenghty lectures about the Burning Legion, because Taedal has been there and seen it.
Hall of the Guardians: None of the leaders is a mage, the Halls of the Guardians has been left alone. But to be fair, the Mages have buried themselves in the library and haven’t really noticed.
Hall of Shadows: Except for heavy redecoration and a rework of the Dalaran sewage system, the Rogue Order Hall hasn’t seen much change under Gallywix’s rule. Commanding Rogues is worse than herding cats, because although the Rogues are in various factions like the Ravenholt, SI:7, Shattered Hand and so on, and they listen to their leaders, they refuse to listen to anybody else. Commanding Rogues is like herding flies. And each of the fly is heavily armed, invisible, and poisonous to touch.
The Heart of Azeroth: The first three days the Shamans were left without any kind of leadership, because Thrall just crawled into one of the deeper and more isolated caves, where he was wallowing in... self-pity and handful of other negative thoughts. Then Vol’jin finally got an approval for his reassignment from the Netherlight Temple, arguing it was too crowded there. Vol’jin took charge of the Shamans, introduced them to the more friendly loas and world spirits, saying they all should work together, and then he held therapy sessions. Those were originally meant for thrall, but plenty of other Shamans (and soon also the Shamans’ friends) began visiting.
Netherlight Temple: After the Leaders found out that the name for a group of priest is an argument, they peacefully decided to take turns. Well, everyone except Anduin, who refused to get into being in charge of anything ever again, thank you very much. The boy barricaded himself in the Sanctuary of the Void, where rarely anyone comes to visit, especially the post. The first week it was Velen’s rule, on the third day Vol’jin’s spirit has disappeared without any trace left behind. Velen was secretly glad that the Troll stopped advertising drugs as a healthy and completely normal way to ensure prophecy visions. The next week has seen Tyrande running the place, everyone has learned more about astronomy and astrology than they even though there could be to learn. The temple still has the star charts and models. Moira got herself two weeks, deciding she is going to be the Regent Priest for Anduin. It was... quite a change for everybody, because Moira has Warrior origins, and while she runs the Discipline talents, she is actually a battle-priest. And as such, she was preparing the whole temple for a war.
Sanctum of Light: Greymane has promised the Paladins that they are going to be ruled by the King of Stormwind himself. The young man, however, failed to show up. On the fourth day, the Cameo Sentinel popped in, apologetically, and asked whether they still need a leader because she has been asked by the young Wrynn to check on this place. The Paladins didn’t need anyone in charge, but they invited the Cameo Sentinel for a drink.
Skyhold: Varian and Garrosh decided to settle their scores and also to please Odyn - all responsibilities went to hell as they spent the whole time brawling. Muradin wanted to be the responsible person in charge, but it turned out there is no necessity for it. The Valhalas is a true heaven for all Warriors. Muradin got drunk. Baine introduced the Rrykuls to Tauren relaxation herbs, which turned out to be a helluva fun when combined with mead. Genn has been told to shut up and stop commanding everyone (Hymdall’s words, not mine), so he spent the whole time writing letters to Anduin, asking him how are the paladins and he getting along, and also being in a heated fist-argument with Darius Crowley. Tough to say what Mekkatorque thought about the whole thing, as he brought his devices and tools and blueprints. It is entirely possible he completely forgot where he was.
Temple of the Five Dawns: Ji and Aysa came to the conclusion that they each took over a half of the hall (and of the temple) where they started their training grounds and lecture seatings. The monks are free to rotate between the two halves, after all Ji and Aysa both understand that the world needs the extremists in the Huojin and Tuishin philosophies as much as people who are somewhere in the middle or slightly to side and perhaps even out of the philosophies as well. Plus, after three or four tapped kegs, all the differences seem to perish.
Trueshot Lodge: Sylvanas and Lor’themar disappeared into the forests the first evening. They have been occasionally seen wandering around, together, giggling like teenagers. Falstad, who has been left in charge of the place considered all options he had, and then decided to have a big hunter competition with various disciplines - archery, gun shooting, game hunting, gryphon riding, hippogryph riding, horse races... You name it, they have done it. It was a great time for everybody.

It's Sweet Corn Season: Notes on Sweet Corn and American Kindness
Hooray! Sweet corn season has arrived in Iowa! Tim, our Facilities Manager, invited me over to pick up some sweet corn from his friend’s field. An invitation I gladly accepted, as I have been developing a deep fascination of the crop’s cultural and economic importance here in the heart of the Iowan corn belt. Actually, sweet corn was originally grown by several Native American tribes. The Iroquois gave the first recorded sweet corn to European settlers in 1779 and it soon became a popular food item in the southern and central regions of the United States - and has been so ever since.
Tim's invitation was a delicious chance to try some of that stuff everybody keeps talking about, so I was more than happy to spend a few hours learning some new stuff about corn.
After driving to Audubon, passing the gigantic Albert the Bull statue along the way, we went out in the cornfield with blue skies above and that powerful July sun shining down on us. Field corn can typically grow 7 – 10 feet tall, while sweet corn plants are several feet shorter, Tim told me.
We quickly managed to fill up a wagon with fresh sweet corn and Tim introduced me to his drone, so I could see the cornfield from above - you sure don't want to get lost around here! We returned afterwards and made the harvest ready for our dinner. Tim turned on his grill, and made some of the best cheeseburgers I have had in a long in time, while his friend, Michelle, and I, prepared the sweet corn for our meal.
Iowans take their corn seriously, and I was surprised to see how efficient one can indulge sweet corn with two corn holders and then simply coat it in butter. The dish we made is called ‘corn on the cob,’ which means that it has been boiled (but can also be steamed, or grilled) whole and the kernels are then eaten directly off the cob or cut off.
It was a funny night and I truly enjoyed expanding my knowledge on sweet corn and eating some all-Iowan food in great company.
And great company is what it is all about.
From day one, I have enjoyed the friendliness of my colleagues at the Museum of Danish America. Recently, Shelli from our development team invited me to the Shelby County Fair, where we enjoyed a country music concert and saw a lot of new farm equipment and different animals. Most importantly, her sweet husband introduced me to the mighty brats straight from his grill and Shelli had bought icecream from Dairy Queen and mixed it up with her awesome homemade brownies. Julia, our Registrar, planned a whole day of fun activities in Winterset, Iowa, where we visited a variety of cool museums (who knew quilting would be so interesting!), and Deb, our Development Manager, invited me to my first Fourth of July celebration and made the day a perfect memory for the scrapbook. And Nan, our Design Store Manager, invited me over to the cinema where she volunteers in the weekends to watch the new "Elvis" film.
Furthermore, the first day I arrived, Diya, the Albert Ravenholt Curator of Danish-American Culture, invited me to the Farmer’s Market in Des Moines, which is among some of the finest in the nation. And tomorrow Diya has invited me to join her and other colleagues for some paletas in Des Moines, which I look very much forward to.
I am lucky to be surrounded by so many sweet people and I really cherish the friendly and kind gestures like that. It makes you feel welcome, which is really important when you’re so far away from home. But it also gives you a great chance to develop new friendships, while simply creating some amazing memories along the way. My experience with Americans has always been good, and I guess that’s part of the reason of why I am so fascinated by the United States.
Whenever I have been in this nation, I have been met with open arms, genuine curiosity, and I am so grateful for the friendliness I have encountered and the people I have met on my American journey: This is the land of the generous and home of the kind, both being important parts of what I consider American characteristics.
Best from Anders Tornsø Jørgensen

I created a tier list template for the black dragonflight. I actually created it like four times because I kept forgetting some. Oops. Anyway, to my knowledge, this is now every single named black dragon, drake, and whelp in the Warcraft universe. (I did not include dragonkin.)
My rankings:
S-Tier:
Wrathion -- Surprise, surprise. My son is #1. I’ll wait for everyone to stop gasping in shock before continuing.
Fahrad -- I’m the Ravenholt Grand Master’s #1 (and possibly only) fangirl. Best dragon dad ever. <3
Nefarian -- Snarky, genre-savvy, fourth-wall-poking, insane-yet-brilliant? All of the above with a tragic star-crossed love story in my fics.
Deathwing -- Scheming Earth Warder and lava-spewing Worldbreaker, the big guy can only be in the top tier.
A-Tier:
Onyxia -- One of the most iconic dragons in the history of gaming.
Obsidia -- She ranks so high because she’s sort of my OC as well as being canon. Long story.
Ebyssian -- Wise, loyal, secretive, earnest, with just a bit of that black dragonflight snark that pokes through now and then.
Atramedes -- How can you not feel for a poor, blind whelp?
Nyxondra -- Wrathion’s mama was treated horribly and then died trying to protect her babies. R.I.P.
Sabellian -- His tenacity, stubbornness, creativity, and gaudy fashion sense are all reasons I want to see him return to the spotlight someday.
Sinestra -- She’s hugely significant as the matriarch of the dragonflight, even if her history is rather uncomfortable to contemplate.
Sartharion -- He ranks higher than he would if I didn’t headcanon him as Onyxia’s chief consort, but he’s still a pretty big deal.
B-Tier:
The BWL drakes -- I lumped Firemaw, Flamegor, and Ebonroc together because they’re basically the Huey, Dewey, and Louie of the black dragonflight: inseparable and interchangeable. They rank so high because of nostalgia and because of their connection to Nefarian. Otherwise there’s nothing particularly notable about them.
Kalaran -- He was pretending to be human when he told the player about how his father was slain by Dark Iron Dwarves and he wanted revenge, but I always headcanoned that it was true, and thus have a soft spot for him. Plus he came to Nyxondra’s aid in Cataclysm.
Darkblaze -- The mastermind behind the black dragonflight’s machinations in the Redridge Mountains deserves a fairly high spot.
Pyrricion -- Kind of an obscure NPC, but I always love how he attacks the people trying to harm black whelplings in the Wetlands. Protective big brother dragon = awww.
Nalice -- She had a fairly significant role in WotLK and Cata, which is more development than most dragons get.
Myzerian -- A bright spot in a zone that is otherwise a bit of a slog. Love his black kilt and glowing eyes, too.
Searinox -- As the only named black dragon (other than Deathwing) prior to WoW, he deserves a somewhat high spot on the list, even if he didn’t do much besides get killed by Arthas in Warcraft III.
Snarlflare -- He was a whelp in vanilla and grew up to a drake in the Cataclysm world revamp. That’s neat. Plus he just hangs out around Lakeshire, minding his own business.
Serinar -- He’s only in one set of quests, but his haughty attitude and fabulous hair are fun.
Nihil the Banished -- A super obscure NPC who has a low chance to randomly spawn during a quest in Blade’s Edge, but I’m intrigued by who he was and how/why/when he was banished.
C-Tier:
Seldarria -- She’s a huge mystery: a broodmother who sleeps the day away while her whelps play around her in the Stonetalon Mountains. Who is she? Where is her mate? Why is she so sleepy? Nobody knows!
Emberstrife -- My Horde alt never got to Onyxia attunement in vanilla, but I know what a significant role this drake played in that quest chain.
Smolderwing -- There’s something kind of cool about a drake who comes out to defend the Broodmother’s lair when you plant a challenge flag at the entrance. It’s nice to know Onyxia has someone responsible to watch over the place while she’s busy elsewhere.
Teremus -- A rare spawn from the Blasted Lands with no real lore behind him, but he was kited to Stormwind numerous times back in vanilla and wreaked memorable havoc.
Torth -- I don’t remember much of the quests involving this drake in the Twilight Highlands, but I know he was around for awhile so he ranks higher than those who didn’t do anything at all.
Hematus and Blacklash -- More vanilla nostalgia. I think they were the first elite black dragons I ever killed, back in the day.
Singe -- Most of his lore was in the scrapped Lord of the Clans adventure game, but in WoW he was found in the hostile fortress in Redridge, and the idea of a baby dragon just chillin’ with random orcs is kind of funny.
Razormaw -- We only get to see him as a ghost, and by the time I get to the climax of Bloodmyst Isle I usually have an eyestrain headache from the relentless red coloring, but it’s still a cool story about how Deathwing sent him to lead the dragons fighting against the night elves and their green dragon allies.
Rivendark -- Would be D-Tier along with Furywing and Insidion, but I headcanon him as Obsidia’s mate and he’s in my fics, so he gets bumped up a level.
Ivoroc, Pyrecraw, and Maimgor -- The three drakes of Blackwing Descent don’t really do anything or have a story, but they occasionally lie down and take naps, which is freaking adorable.
D-Tier:
Tyrantion, Stygia, and Ravenian -- I’m taking a stab in the dark in placing them here, because I’ve never actually done an island expedition so I’ve never met them. I couldn’t even find a picture of Stygia. I assume they’re just sort of there, being generic enemies. The pictures I did find looked cool with the glowy Azerite effects.
Saviana Ragefire -- For having two names and being a miniboss in a raid, you’d think she’d have some kind of story or significance. You would be wrong.
Hemathion -- A random rare spawn in Blade’s Edge, he escapes being F-Tier because A.) he’s quite a bit larger than dragons usually are in-game, and B.) in my fanfics I fleshed him out a bit.
Vhel’kur -- We only get to see him as a ghost, and he has a weird name. Apparently he was one of the dragons who originally accompanied Deathwing to Draenor, somehow ended up in Shadowmoon Valley, and died.
Insidia and Furywing -- Basically clones of Rivendark and Obsidia, as far as Blade’s Edge NPCs are concerned.
F-Tier:
Blackscale -- This not-at-all-creatively named dragon patrols around the Wyrmcult coven in Blade’s Edge Mountains. He has no lore and no reason for existing that I can tell, but he does occasionally stop to fight wildlife so I guess he gets to be in the top of the F-Tier, above the ones who don’t even do that.
Malicion -- I had zero recollection of this dragon until I saw him on WoWpedia. I’ve only finished the post-Cata Azshara zone like twice, which explains it. Kalec helps you fight him, which is cool, I guess, but since I didn’t remember it I figured he belongs in F-Tier.
Minyoth -- There’s a quest to kill this one, so they’re not entirely useless, but they just sit there and wait to be killed. Yawn.
Brimgore -- A random rare that spawns near Onyxia’s lair. Which is a good place for a black drake to be, but that’s the only interesting thing about him.
Hematos -- A rare from the Burning Steppes that doesn’t do anything but confuse people because his name is so similar to Hemathion and Hematus. He gets the lowest spot.
