V.IV Rusty's one of the weirdest takes on a Vergil rival character ever. What if the unbeatable lone wolf warrior who prides himself on his unparalleled skill meets his perfect match in the form of our underdog protagonist and reacts by going "that's so cool. These other assholes are all fake you're the only bitch in this house I respect. Wanna hang out and grab a beer some time buddy? Pal? Amigo? Broski?" And when circumstances conspire to make you enemies he can't stop admiring you even as you try to kill each other. When he loses he's proud for you and happy to have something new to strive for. Like dude, stop being such a dude you're making it really hard to want to kick your ass.

Playing Armored Core 6 and just... thinking.

Thinking about 621 and Rusty possibly cuddling. 621 still wide awake as Rusty lightly breathes in his sleep, nice and slow but still present.

621 listening to Rusty's breathing intently. To his heart beat. Focusing on the warmth of his body heat.

Focusing on how alive Rusty is.

The knowledge his is just alive and well being comforting enough for 621 to finally drift off to sleep as well to the sound of Rusty's hearbeat; a soothing lullaby for 621's ears.

Just thinking about how my interpretation of 621 is probably so insanely traumatized that 621 needs to constantly be checking if the people 621 cares about are truly alive.

About how Rusty holds 621 so closely to his chest as a way of keeping 621 grounded.

About how shaken 621 must have been in that cave, having to fight Rusty. Hearing Rusty call 621 dangerous.

Imagining the thoughts running through 621's head in that moment. No. Anyone but Rusty... I can't fight Rusty– No. Not Rusty too.

Thinking about how 621 probably could have killed Rusty right there, but held back, opting to just damage his AC's enough to make him stop. Even ceasing fire when STEEL HAZE lost its arm, as if 621 was hoping Rusty would just stop, which he did.

..I really need to start writing again...

i do find it funny that when i first played Armored Core 6 i didn't quite get the like Rusty/Raven shipping or whatever and now like a year later when i'm entering dangerous levels of brainrot with this game and i first got to the Liberator ending again, i heard his "you're out of luck. there's only one person who can keep up with me" line and immediately went "oh he wants to fuck that weird little freak so bad it makes him look stupid"

I finally emerge from my lab with Vesper 621 content (that I was trying to finish like two weeks ago oops)

It started as just a sketch and then became a fic that’s definitely not just an excuse for me to write a RustyxFreudxRaven love triangle with sex scenes and also to be used as a vehicle to explore the Vespers weird relationships with their own bodies (I’m whistling innocently)

He’s also different to my usual 621… now I have two Ravens hehe

He’s got short hair, had severe coral burn-in, has the complexion of a sickly Victorian maiden, and has some ability to speak through a vocoder device connected to one of his implants… and is also cis for uhh gay plot reasons :^) Link to the fic here if you so desire to read it (r18 for uhh above reasons)
