very rarely. i’m not a super huge gamer, but i really enjoy gta v and skyrim. i like games where you can explore huge maps. i liked rdr2 too but i keep getting gangs coming after me no matter where i go and it got annoying so i just kinda stopped playing it. though i do miss my horse snape. rip.

Words stopping mid-sentence, eyes flick over to the man who interrupted him. Chief doesn’t know what to think at first, confusion clearly written across his face. Did he HEAR HIM correctly, or was he just messing with him? The man makes eye contact with him again and sees his confusion. He mades a face, only to REALIZE that Chief hadn’t quite heard what it was he said. So he repeats himself,

“I said speak up.”

That’s all?

Despite the tone the man uses, it DOES make a grin appear across Chief’s face for the BRIEFEST of moments. But he wipes it off his face pretty quickly, slouching since this man ISN’T his boss and he didn’t HAVE to tell him, but he was out of the KINDNESS of his own damn HEART.

“What I SAID...” He starts, raising his hands and positively smiling ear to ear. “...Is that our Crew had to close down this way. Got a big herd of BISON trailing through. Pretty to look at, VIOLENT when they spot you. I wouldn’t recommend TRAVELING this way.”

DARYL’S EXPRESSION DOESN’T CHANGE.   A look of fierce defiance, mouth pressed together in a frown, gaze unmoving from Negan’s own. He’s all too good at remaining impassive; he’ll never flinch, never speak, never allow his facade to crack even the slightest. Negan’s attempts to get any kind of outwards reaction from him are pointless, because Daryl’s had enough practice in keeping things in. Anything that might make Negan think he’s winning, Daryl won’t give up. No matter what. He’s already decided that, and no amount of taunting questions & sly smirks will change that.

So he doesn’t respond. He remains where he is, perfectly still. And it’s difficult to fight his impulse   ---------   every nerve in his body is screaming at him to do something, and there’s a damn lot of willpower going into restraining himself. The loud, irrational part of him wants to punch Negan in the face, and then beat him to death with his own fucking bat, and not stop until his whole face is entirely unrecognisable. The survivor in him knows when to hold back. Throwing a punch here & now wouldn’t do any good; he has no weapons, he’s weak from lack of food, and the last time he tried to fight back landed him here.

It’s better, in the long run, to wait. To bide his time until he can get out, & then come back with a vengeance. That’s his best bet at staying alive, at keeping his family safe. He won’t give the savior an excuse to kill another of his friends.

No response. A defiant glare. That’s all Negan gets.
