Plush Kisses (Part One)

Hello ♡ This is just a sudden idea I had that I thought would be really cute, and wanted to share! Please note that this takes place when the character and the Reader are older/married, and that they have a child together (could be biological, adopted, etc. depending on your preference) There are no pronouns used for the Reader, or for their child! Enjoy ♡

Featured characters: Rook, Ruggie, Jamil

Scenario Introduction:

Your child (think 5-6 years old) loves their parents, and misses them when they go to work. While you (or your partner's) at home with your child, your partner (or yourself) is at work, and expected to come home later that night.

Missing their parent, your child makes a plush/doll of them, using spare fabric and craft supplies. The plush/doll could be made to look like them, or like an animal that reminds the child of them, showing it to you (or your partner) once it was finished.

They tell you (or your partner) to kiss the plush/doll, saying it would make them appear (like in fairy tales!) Little does your child know, your partner (or you) got to come home from work early that day, and planned on surprising them, walking in right as you (or your partner) kiss the plush/doll ♡

Rook Hunt (Tagging: @offorestsongs)

When you're away:

Rook commends his child on their work, looking over the plush/doll with adoration. It looked so much like you, from the hair, to the clothes, to the smile your child drew on. He loved it, showering them with compliments as he held it like a precious treasure.

When they told him to kiss it, saying it would make you appear, he gladly did so, gazing at the plush/doll for a moment before pressing a gentle kiss where it's smile was. Like magic, he heard the door open, turning towards as the hall as your child ran to meet you, shouting out your name. You picked them up with a laugh, carrying them as you walked to where Rook was, waiting for you with the plush/doll held to his chest.

"My wish came true..." he whispers, gazing at you fondly as he presses a sweet kiss to your lips. Just like the fairy tales, indeed ♡

When Rook's away:

You smile as your child hands you the plush/doll, looking it over fondly. It looked so much like him, with certain details drawn on. The plush/doll was even wearing a hat with a feather, just like your husband wore.

You didn't realize Rook was walking down the hall when your child asked you to kiss the plush/doll, saying it would make him appear. You laugh for a moment before agreeing, closing your eyes and pressing a kiss to the plush/doll's smile.

You open your eyes when you feel something press against your cheek, turning to see Rook staring at you adoringly as your child squealed with delight.

"It worked!" They shouted, jumping for a moment before running to hug Rook. He picks them up with one arm as he wraps the other around you, holding you both close.

"Oui, your love called me home!" He agrees, eyes sparkling as their face lights up. He turns and meets your eyes, smiling at the look you share. Just like the fairy tales, indeed ♡

Ruggie Bucchi (Tagging: @midnightmah07, @nicoliharu)

When you're away:

It wasn't often Ruggie had a day off, using the opportunity to give his grandmother a break and spend time with his child. He grins when his child hands him the plush/doll, rustling their hair as he compliments them on their work. It looked just like you, from the hair, to the clothes, to the drawn on face.

He hesitates when they tell him to kiss it, eyebrow raising as they say it'll make you appear. He looks around a moment before laughing to himself, pressing a quick kiss to the plush/doll's mouth right as you got to the doorway.

He turns when he hears you laugh, standing in the doorway watching them fondly. Your child shouts in delight, running up to you as Ruggie turns away. The tips of his ear's are red as you join him on the couch, teasing that his kiss brought you home.

"I better kiss you again, just to make sure" He teases back, pulling you in as you laughed, the plush/doll still in his hand. Just like the fairy tales, indeed ♡

When Ruggie's away:

Your child knew their father was a hard worker, working whatever job he could for a paycheck. That didn't stop them from missing him though, sometimes even joining him at work when they could. It would usually be when he's doing deliveries, the two of them riding around delivering food or packages. (Having his cute kid join him certainly helped with his tips, plus he got to spend time with them!)

Your face lit up as your child handed you the hyena plush they made, saying it was their father. You laughed as you noticed the paper the hyena was holding, drawn to look like thaumarks. As you admired their work they asked you to kiss it, saying it would make Ruggie appear.

Little did you know, Ruggie had heard your conversation, having snuck in while you were unaware. He was able to take the rest of the day off, fully paid for thanks to his boss.

Right as you kissed the plush he popped up from behind the couch, surprising you and your child. They squealed in delight as he pressed a kiss to your cheek, laughing and holding his arms open for them. Just like the fairy tales, indeed ♡

When you're away:

It wasn't often Jamil got to relax like this, spending the day with his child. After doing their hair and making them lunch, they ran off to play, leaving Jamil to clean up the kitchen. Usually they would help him clean up, drying the plates after he washed them, but they seemed to planning something, making Jamil suspicious.

They have been spending a lot of time with Najma recently, entering the living room to find them hiding something behind their back. His eyebrow raises as he watches their face light up, having waited for Jamil to finish what he was doing before revealing their work.

He couldn't the small smile that grew on his face, looking at the plush/doll version of you your child made. They even got your expression right, drawing it on with a fabric marker.

He's shocked when they ask them to kiss it, saying it'll make you appear. He does his best not to let his reluctance show, his child staring at him expectantly. After a moment he sighs, his ears red as he kisses the plush/doll. Of course, that's when you had to walk into the room, staring at Jamil kissing the plush with an eyebrow raised.

"Not a word." Jamil muttered as your child squealed, delighted it had worked. You gave him a teasing look before pressing a kiss to his cheek, thanking him for bringing you home. Just like the fairy tales, indeed ♡

When Jamil's away:

(Note: for this one, the plush/doll could be made to look like Jamil, or to look like a snake, depending on what you prefer ♡)

You knew how much your child looked up to their father, turning to him to do their hair, or make them something to eat. Even just to dance together, putting on music in the living room to have their own little party. It was sweet how close they were, putting a smile on your face.

You were curious as they handed you the plush/doll they made, saying it was Jamil. The sight of it made you laugh, noticing it's expression, having drawn on his iconic side eye stare. When they asked you to kiss the plush/doll, saying it would make their father appear, you agreed, smiling as you gave it a quick peck.

You were shocked as you heard someone clear their throat behind you, turning to find Jamil standing there, his arms crossed as he stared at you, amused. You fumbled for a moment as your child shouted in delight, running towards him with their arms wide open. He bent down to meet them, pulling them into a hug before picking them up.

He walks over to you with your child as he stares at the plush/doll curiously, eyebrow raised in a silent question. Just like the fairy tales, indeed ♡

BONUS (for all three characters):

Now that you (or your partner) was home, everyone could sit around the table and make plushes/dolls of the rest of the family. You wouldn't want the plush/doll your child made to get lonely, after all ♡

everyone who knows dick personally knows he is very smart, analytical, and geeky

however the news outlets have been spouting off ‘richie wayne’ ever since dick was taken in as bruce’s ward, and tend to write him as the ‘dumb hot’ stereotype

one night talk show gets dick onto it, under the premise that the money from that show would be going to charity, they put him up against random college students about topics they are majoring in

everyone expects dick to flirt or joke his way through the questions, so when he starts buzzing in first and answering correctly, they eventually question him

and with a shrug he says, “grew up traveling around the world, was vice president to the mathletes club that took nationals in high school at 14, and was actually in training to take up either a head aspect or a tech aspect of wayne enterprises; had to do classes and work for that, my best friend and i played video games and coded our own, also social media is easy to keep up with with my siblings and such” he finishes with a dismissive wave and smile, quickly running through the subjects that he was quizzed on

it quickly goes viral, and dick left that studio with a lighter chest and a bright smile
