Pacific Rim x Rottmnt

Okay so this might be a little far fetched but-

Hear. Me. Out.

So the human government fucked with kraang tech after the apocalypse.

Because of fucking course they did.

Enter the massive fucking Monsters × Kraang DNA when they decided to try and re create the Ooze Draxum created by using the kraang blood. They thought they could use the kraang they captured alive (sister kraang) to control them. They were proven very VERY wrong when the monsters ripped apart and ate Sister Kraang in front of them.

Round two of the apocalypse, except now it's entirely the humans fault.

Humans and Yokai are forced to combine technology within their governments on the down low, both resentful of the other and committed to hiding the fact Yokai are involved from humanity.

The mechs are a result of this team up. The link in the mind field between two pilots was done by the Yokai, and they stated the rules of this spell had to be very specific. The two have to be genetically compatible, not related, just compatible. There cannot be any strain on the spell or it WILL break with bad consequences. The two pilots will be linked mind and soul, they will know every part of one another, so choose the pilots very wisely. For the first few times, they won't be linked as deeply, but once the link sets in there is no hiding.

The humans main contribution was the weaponry section of this team up. Humans are cruel and violent, and they are much smarter then the yokai gave them credit for, as the yokai come to learn. The mechs are built with weaponry mixed with magic, nuclear power cells they some how managed to contain flowing next to veins of pure magic engraved into the mech. It was terrifying and efficient.

Both groups were now far more wary of the other now that they knew how effective the other was.

The mutants, however, were an outlier in all of the secrets, much to the ire of both governments. The yokai all knew what had happened by now, they'd seen the humans be turned into something like themselves, and they simply saw them as strange outlying yokai.

Tho, the term 'Mutant' was widely considered a slur in Yokai society, so you can imagine what that said about behind the scenes opinions. That being said, they did accept them into jobs and accepted help from them.

The humans of the general population didn't know much, but the apocalypse had broadcast the 'covered up' existence of Mutants. (Specifically a certain few turtles, a rat, and some other odd sightings in NYC)

Most didn't care, or outright denied their existence along with the government, but to those who knew they were out there, the had two, and only two, reactions.

One was they thought they were weird but didn't care as long as they were useful.

The other was pure hatred.

Now mutants were not accepted in the human government so they could not be pilots (so ruled the government officials 🙄😒) and any Yokai pilot was hidden from the public, but that didn't mean it had never happened.

To be exact there has been exactly One mutant pilot who faked being a Yokai to become one. Splinter. Why wasn't he outed? Because his co pilot was Draxum.

But Draxum made a discovery during this (that will be revealed later 😁) that was crucial to future success. Naturally, of course, what ever he told the governing bodies of both groups had him kicked out. Splinter wasn't ever discovered seeing as he slipped away after Draxum was kicked.

Now the Turtle Bois have been through it. They stopped the apocalypse. And they all have lasting trauma from that, only for the human government to create what are basically giant kraangs again. And this time they are literally not even allowed to help.

Donnie was literally connected to the fucking technodrome so he can literally hear when a new one is moving and he can't fucking stand it. He still can't eat anything slimy and rarely if ever takes his battle shell off. He now gets splitting mindgrains due to the technodrone as a side effect.

Raph is blind in one eye due to the kraang take over. He also got an extra boost to strength that he despises with every once of him. He had already been having nightmares because of the kraang forcing him to harm his brothers. Way to psychologically damage a guy. He's now terrified of his own strength, especially towards his brothers.

Mikey is an artist, and an acrobatic fighter. His hands were nearly shattered, he had to re learn how to use them, and they still have episodes where they shake or hurt. His magic awakened but he had to do so much training to just contain it that he's exhausted. He's desperately trying to comfort his brothers and dad's in a healthy way but there's only so much one turtle can do.

Then there's Leo.

Leo is in an extreme self destruction spiral and not a single one of his family members knows how bad it actually is. Why? Because he's the face man! He extends every ounce of energy he has into his latest and greatest act ever: Leo Is Perfectly Fine And Normal! And the whole world is his stage. He rarely sleeps, barely eats and has put his entire being into perfecting his portals and strategies. You need a portal? He can get you to the exact place you want in two seconds, he's absolutely become a beast in battle with his portals, and his strategies (Even all the ones he keeps hidden, and all the back up plans after back up plans, after back up-) are all working down to the last letter. Ask him when he last slept and he'll say last night ofc ( -for exactly one minute, and suddenly he was back in the prison dimension and he's dying again and WIPETHATGRINOFFY-) So don't even worry about it. (He still feels immense guilt and is absolutely convinced the apocalypse, fucking both of them, are all his fault. The mechs are holding on but for how long? They keep multiplying. Not one person in his family knows exactly how close he was to dying except for Draxum, who treated him. He genuinely hates himself and believes he shouldn't have been returned from There but needs to live to be of use to his family. )

So yeah. They aren't doing great. So during a full two years the boys fight their normal villans and a few new ones (who the fuck is Usagi any ways, whys he keep going for Leo, what's up with the samurai thing? - Donnie ) and the Mechs hold up against the Kraang Kijus that just keep appearing?!?! However no one realizes that the humans did something incredibly stupid. They cut ties with the Yokai after creating suits that wouldn't need the mind field and were more 'efficiently human'. The Yokai also were convinced they would be fine after developing a barrier to seal their city away that was 'supposedly' strong enough to hold against the Kraang Kiju. This happened only shortly after Draxum was kicked, so there are only a few depots left that have the original mechs with trained pilots.

Then the mechs the humans built start failing.

In a panic the original suits are discharged to multiple places in a frenzy, and three more are destroyed, leaving only three depots left holding genuine mechs, and all of them are furthest away from Kiju hot spots (because of fucking course the government would try and hide them away when they thought they had made something better.)

So now not only are they low on the mechs, but also pilots who can use them since most have died off.

Things kick off when April decides to go into pilot training at one of these outposts right when the human-only made mechs begin to fail and she learns to true nature of what's been happening behind the scenes. Which she immediately tells her mutant family about.

Draxum and Splinter both get recall messages around the same time.

The boys are distraught in all different ways.

Donnie is horrified when he realizes that this is why his head has been hurting so badly and he senses so much, the Kiju were evolving. Raph is immediately panicked that something is going to happen again where he will be possessed by this newer version of the Kiju. Mikey is terrified that his family might get torn apart again and that his magic isn't enough to stop it. Leo spirals even further, tossing himself aggressively into training and strategies, except now he's added the pilot training he isnt supposed to know about by swiping training videos and textbooks. (He also starts to portal. Anywhere. Everywhere. He searches for absolutely any sign of the Kraang creatures because this is ALL HIS FAULT)

When Draxum is recalled to the main base where the Yokai-Human mechs have been gathered, he reveals to the Captain there what he had discovered. Mutants, and those who match with them, are the most ideal and in sync pilots with the mechs technology, most likely due to being a mix of yokai and human DNA just as the mechs are a mix of human and yokai technology.

The boys are immediately called in to train as Pilots (obviously)

Donnie excells in being entirely connected to the mechs, and knows how to work with them, repair them, and upgrade them almost instantly.

Mikey's magic interacts nearly perfectly with the magic within the mechs, and his understanding of people and sociology makes him extremely ideal in a partnered scenario.

Raph is excellent at using his enormous amounts of strength to use the heavier mechs, and his kind personality makes it easy to work with him.

Leo Flys through training (to a concerning degree to the Captain) with extreme skill. He acts as if he's lazy or aloof, but pilots a mech in training as if it were an extention of himself, very similar to how Donnie does, but to a less mechanical degree. His stratigical work is nearly immaculate, (though he never tells his full plan as the Captain notices) and is extremely charming.

April is an excellent pilot as well, a hard worker with huge amounts of energy and drive, as well as being extremely Personable. (The Captain would like to note that the girl is noticeably possessed by a teaching spirit that makes her much wiser than her years in battle. Creepy. But very effective. )

April and Raph turn out to be a very good match, which was surprising considering that most thought she and Donnie would be partners. Their mech is a heavy hitter, heavily armored and, when Raphs ninpo is activated, can be the absolute strongest hitter in the battle.

Donnie and Mikey team up and their mech is used for maneuverability and very effective weaponry. Donnie is able to produce any weaponry with his Ninpo for the mech while Mikey's ninpo is able to make the mech move and float with ease, along with the specialty chain Donnie made for Mikey's side of things. All in all, a deadly duo.

Leo is the resident strategist, the man in the chair if you will, the face man who deals with the government officials when they get antsy about mutants and yokai being involved with the mechs (alongside Draxum and the Captain, but Leo is dangerously effective at it) and most of all, the emergency back up. See, Leo is compatible with all of his siblings (including April, fight me she IS their sister) however he has never gone past a single meld with any of them. (Cause you know, gotta hide that mental illness ey Leo?) He says he's 'more of a solo act' as an excuse which mostly everyone buys. He's filled in for Raph and April both once, and once for Donnie ( But hasn't ever melded with his twin, maybe because he knows Donnie will meld with him fully right away).

Leo's biggest contribution is his portals, which he's become extremely good at, almost overnight in his family's eyes. So that problem about the mechs being too far from the hot spots? No longer an issue with Leo around. Within a mech, Leo can summon a sword and is able to make a few, very critical, portals while in the mech. He's only portalled twice within a mech before and it was in emergency situations. (He hid the fact that both jumps had him nearly passing out and Violently ill afterwards best he could.)

Draxum and Splinter are only to be deployed as a last resort, same as Leo.

This is all working very effectively until they realized exactly why the monsters have been evolving.

The kraang kiju managed to figure out where a very large store of empyrian was.

In the Hidden City.

They sniffed it out and now they were trying to get to it, and to do that they were forcing themselves to evolve within the place they dug out as a nest, deep under water. Then they were going out, getting as close as they could before they were stopped, then forcing themselves to evolve to get closer to their goal.

Apparently eating Sister Kraang had given them a taste for empyrian, and they were starving for more.

The plan was to blast the nest to finally eradicate them before the 'bad timeline' apocalypse but revised came to be. However a particularly nasty Kraang Kiju damaged Donnie and Mikeys mech in a solo battle, and Mikey was injured. Raph and April were deployed to another depot that was under heavy fire, that they are now realizing is by design of the Kraang, to attack one place heavily to divert them away from their goal. Then, they sent the heavy hitter to get to the finish line. They managed to stop it but barely. Splinter and Draxum were deployed to buy time for what had to come next.

Que Leo needing to be paired with Donnie. On paper they were the most compatible pair out of everyone. They're fighting styles would link perfectly in the mech, the fact that, in their human DNA, they ARE actually twins (partially if that makes sense?) And their mind link has been estimated to be one of the few that will set in immediately. Leo however is adamant that it is a horrible idea, to the extreme confusion of Donnie. Because. Leo was the one who had insited the two where twins. They fought, but they were extremely close. Hell the two were called ' the twin Naturals' in the hangar by pretty much anyone who was watching them train.

To counteract what he knew was coming, the Capitan ordered that it would be himself, Splinter, Draxum and the twins ONLY when they link the twins up within the mech. (Minimizing who sees what was going to happen, to which Leo is extremely grateful.) He says to minimize distractions and people believe him. Except Donnie, because at this point he knows something is up. So they go to the hanger where there's an unused mech that's been matched up with the two (The Mech is called Nightshade don't ask me why)

The two link and immediately it's just.

Hell. That is the only thing Donnie can describe in Leo's headspace. He feels absolutely everything Leo has been feeling, had been doing to his body, sees the Prison Dimension Leo was trapped in, the same one Leo sees whenever he closes his eyes, can hear the Kraang and every awful thing that godawful monster did or said to his twin. Can feel the overwhelming guilt, the absolute hatred of himself, the pure exhaustion that Leo slaps a smile over as if it were a bandaid, the way he obsessively trained his ninpo, his fighting, his piloting and his mind and Donnie just. Gets lost in this absolute tital wave of pure fucking PAIN.

So naturally the mech goes out of fucking control, and the two are disconnected as soon as possible.

Leo portals off, but not before the Captain jumps through after him, and Donnie is left absolutely distraught and disturbed with Splinter and Draxum.

Donnie genuinely can't think for once because what? Leo has been the most confident, collected and cocky person Donnie had ever seen for his whole life. That was his twin. The one who cracked jokes and made sure every single one of his brothers was okay. The only one who got exactly what Donnie was trying to say without him even having to say it, the one who spotted him getting too overwhelmed before anyone else, the face man, the one with a plan for everything. That? That had been the opposite of everything Donnie had even known about his brother, and his world veiw has just been knocked violently off its axis. He had felt his brother DYING. Felt the life sliping away as Leo floated in that hell dimension before Mikey got to him. And before Mikey got to him? That wasn't just 7 minutes. Leo had been gone to them 7 minutes, but Leo had been trapped in there for so much longer with what Donnie now knows to be from a Time dilation effect. He's terrified about what this has done to Leo, how close they were to losing him before and how close they were to losing him now when they didn't even know.

Leo is being tackled to the ground on the roof of some building in Canada in early winter because the Captain needs to keep him from portaling away. Again. The two eventually manage to establish that Leo isn't going anywhere and they just. Sit for a second. And because Leo can't handle silence he just starts talking. He talks about exactly what he went through during the invasion. How he started it. How he was irresponsible and dumb during the whole thing. How he almost lost Raph. How Casey Jr. had told him how he'd caused the deaths of everyone. How he'd ordered his twin to pilot the technodrone. How he'd fought and realized exactly what needed to be done, his life needing to be sacrificed. How he'd entered that dimension and gotten absolutely beaten to shit. How close he'd come to dying, life slipping away with that picture of his family being the only thing he could focus on for what felt like an eternity.

Then the aftermath.

Mikeys poor hands, Donnie's shell and head, Raphs eye and paranoia. The guilt he held for all of it and how he destroyed himself as penance for his existence. The hours he poured into the numerous plans and strategies and the back ups to the back ups of those plans. The second coming of the kraang. How it made his mind turn even darker and made him push himself to be better, stronger, faster, smarter. How he stole the training textbooks and guides as a preemptive measure. And how he worked himself even harder here, knowing how crucial his role as resident Portaler was, and how he started all of this so it didn't matter what it did to him.

The Captain sits silently through all of this (frankly horrifying) explanation and gathers one thing: This was a Child fucking soldier. Leo was 17 when he counted his own life as forfeit. He was 19 now, and in another war. And he blamed himself for it, even though it was the fault of the people trying to open it in the first place, and the Kraang for being the most evil bastards to exist. So he tells Leo this. And Leo just breaks down. Finally, because this boy has been due for a breakdown for a very long time. It was kind of a miracle he was even alive with how badly he was straining himself.

So Leo portals back and is immediately hit with a certain soft shell who, while he does not speak a word, will not let go of Leo. At all. The two end up being ordered back to their rooms, although they both end up in Donnies room because Donnie had quite literally created a death grip on Leo and Draxum nearly lost a finger when he tried to get him off. (The captain stopped Splinter and Draxum from going after the twins cause they needed to talk, and also, YOUR CHILDREN HAVE TRAUMA and the Captain has words that need to be said about how severe it is.)

So Donnie and Leo are just sitting there clinging to each other because Holy fuck they need comfort right now. And Donnie asks why Leo would ever hate himself for something that wasn't his fault, and Leo breaks down crying, and telling Donnie about how sorry he is that he caused him to get hurt and even killed in the bad timeline. Donnie stops him immediately and hits him with the fact that he is Donnies twin, and he is not fucking allowed to die, or wish he were dead, or be left anywhere fucking NEAR that hellscape because Donnie needs him right here. Not a single goddamn thing that happened was Leo's fault, no matter how much he thought that one small mistake with not getting that key made it that way, it was Not. His. Fault. (Also he will be having WORDS with Casey Jr. because while Donnie can logically say that Jr. was going through, and had gone through a lot of shit, not one person on this goddamn fucking earth can look Donnie's twin brother in the eye and tell him that the deaths of his entire family were on his head and get away without Donnie getting a word or two in. Not that he tells Leo this of course.)

The two try the link again and oh fuck, Donnie still ends up in the Hellscape of Leo's fucked up memories and feelings. After failing once more, Donnie pleads with Leo to try again, cause he was just not ready for it that time, they've got this. If Leo can hold steady with all this running through his head on a good day and take on Donnies trauma at the same time, then by fucking God, so can Donnie, his twin.

So they try for a third time.

The third time goes significantly better. Leo spirals again at first, chasing the rabbit, but Donnie is right there with him, telling him he wasn't alone, and he would never be alone in this so get up and fight with him. And because Leo absolutely loves his twin more than he could possibly hate himself, he does.

And boy were people right when they estimated that Donnie and Leo as a Team WORK. The two fit perfectly as a mech pilot team, and that mech is now possibly the most deadly thing they've ever let onto the field. See, Mikey had Skill and Restraint, while Donnie had extreme intellect and Skill. But Leo has Skill, strategy, and a drive to do ANYTHING necessary to succeed.

Restraint? The Disaster Twins? Never.

The two obliterate the evolved Kraang Kiju and head to the nest with the charges and get two in place. Then the nest lets out three of the evolved Kraang Kiju and things take a turn. Draxum and Splinter are deployed to help, as the final thing needed is the charge to be dropped straight down the middle, but before they can get it down all the way the Kiju land a massive hit, one that sets off the charge too early and damages both mechs. Donnies side is unresponsive, so Leo is about to eject him, as he cant singular portal while connected to the mech. Donnie however catches on and stops him, saying dont you fucking dare. Before he can do anything though (like sacrifice himself again) Splinter and Draxum send out a group message through the coms. Their mech is already falling down into the nest, as their mobility and thrusters are completely offline, and the mech is already leaking radiation. They tell everyone that they are pushing the self destruct, and will act as the final bomb. The dad's tell the boys and April that they love them and turn off the coms, and push the button, comforting each other as they die. Leo ejects both him and Donnie (he couldn't portal the mech considering how bad of shape he was in and the fact that the mech was also beginning to leak radiation) then portals the two ejection pods back to the hanger before the nest explodes. They are Greeted by Raph and April who had made it just slightly too late, a wheelchair confined Mikey and the Captain, and all of the siblings comfort each other through the loss of both of their parents (or in April's case, Parental figures.)

The Captain checks them for injuries and makes sure their settled and WILL be compensated for the rest of their lives ( He literally threatens the government into it, with surprising help from the Yokai, who realized halfway through the evolved Kiju arc that the barrier would not hold, and those turtles just saved their lives, AGIAN)

The Captain ends up going to live with the boys in the sewer, seeing as he had nowhere else to be now that the war against the Kiju was over, and helping them adjust with the loss of the parents. (Also figuring out that no, the police were absolutely not the ones stopping literally all of the mutant and even some human crime, that was these guys the whole time.)

Also Leo finally gets therapy through Donnie telling Senor Hueso (who is basically what Draxum was to Mikey for Leo) about all of the shit that happened and that WAS happening that Leo hid. Que Senor Hueso immediately getting Leo a therapist who he made absolute sure was neutral about Mutants, and having regular check ups on Leo. The rest of the family learns that Leo has been struggling (though Donnie is the only one who knows intimately what Leo has gone through and the explanation of all of this was a watered down version of what Leo told the Captain)

And the family is horrified, and they all make sure that everyone in the family is open about the issues that have happened and work on getting better. Leo's therapist also sets up therapists for the rest of the boys too, because they definitely need it, as soon as they hear about what happen to Leo's brothers as well.

(Bonus Points if Future!Leo is the Captain for added feels((He wore a cloaking broach to appear human and only trained the pilots for combat, never actually connected to one))☺️ Plus a Splinter/Draxum love confession in their final moments.)

Let’s get into their lore, shall we?:

The tree at face value- I was experimenting with family set ups for the Celestials and decided to take things literally, Bloodmoon here would be the child of Eclipse. They were never named.

Creator sucks, deluxe edition- okay, okay, this one is weird, and I’ll admit I wasn’t really thinking it through when I made the concept, ergo it will probably come off as insensitive and weird, which is understandable because I was not thinking through what I was thinking. So, human au, Sun and Moon and Lunar have DID, both Bloodmoons are Lunar’s alters. That’s it. This is one of the two aus in which the twins are younger than 20. Lunar, Hunter, and Harvest.

The RaTc (pronounced ‘rats’)- short for ‘Redhead and traumatized club’, basically a place where I drop all my favorites//ocs that have so many things in common that I can refer to them as being ‘the same guy’. Bloodmoon II was the latest addition. Original and Adaptation

Uno-less afterlife- my take on the ghost versions of the dead SAMS characters, I’m planning to write a one shot for this one when Sun dies (or if, I guess). There’s the first Bloodmoon who’s half melted and kinda disintegrating, and the newer addition of a mutilated Adaptation II. Original and Adaptation, Copy Adaptation

This is what you wanted- that concept I shared sometime last month (?), Bloodmoon wanting to get reprogrammed and getting Eclipse to help them, and then getting amnesia. Ruby and Scarlet

DND mini phase- a simple doodle of Bloodmoon as a vampiric rogue, thing which I don’t even know if it’s possible. They weren’t named

Death game- … I may have watched a Danganronpa let’s play. Look, the concept is neat, and the character designs are cool as hell! That said, I did plan a whole au revolving around the SAMS characters being put in a death game, I’m pretty sure I planned to have the twins kill someone and get away with it because of a loop hole. Bloody and Harvest

Fantasy au- not restricted but definitely inspired by DnD, a magical world where there’s all sorts of creatures and places. The Bloodmoons were vampires that Eclipse got to work for him, and then got out of control. Ruin revived them as a demon on account of being a necromancer. Neither the first or second versions were named

Pure and utter regret- I… I might’ve… I might’ve shipped the twins and Jack at some point— It was a crackship and I don’t even ship them anymore, I‘ve adopted the ‘Bloodmoon is aroace’ headcanon, and y’know, canon is being canon for Jack. They’re really just friends now. Yet, I still have about three digital pages worth of them being all kissy and shit. I feel like shit. Fuck, I even had a name for them. I hate myself. They go by every single name ever given to a Bloodmoon (because this was purely a fun crack ship)

April fools actor au- exactly as it says, Sun and Moon started thinking of ways to bring engagement up for the channel, and then Eclipse popped up, and so they all ran the channel together, bouncing ideas off of one another, and so began the lore episodes. Bloodmoon is a bot that was made by Eclipse from some scraps of code he did originally intend to use to mess with the Celestial twins, now repurposed into a theatre kid. They probably have names but they’re only referred to as Original and Adaptation

I got infected by Magic Girlitis- I was watching a bunch of videos about Madoka Magica, and then I watched the ‘Will you press the button’ video, so now I have magical girl designs for Moon, Sun, and Lunar. I never got to them, but the blood twins would’ve had a really cool introduction and would’ve been a genuinely scary antagonist to our heroes. They weren’t named

Fragment of the ocean- I asked a friend of mine what I should draw for Mermay, they said mermaids and oceanic creatures, I accidentally created an au. Bloodmoon is an apparent human (has never been seen as a mermaid), who after being controlled and used by several people was adopted into the Foxy family. They also have DID, because human. This is the second au where the twins are younger than 20. Bloody, Scythe, Hunter, and Rabies

Louisiana:

• He’s a literal sweetheart that gets along with everyone. Like, he knows everyone and everyone knows him

• He will drop whatever he’s doing to help one of his friends. Doing the dishes? Not anymore. Eating lunch? He says he ate enough. Self care? You need it more than I do! Therapy? He’ll be your therapist.

• He very rarely cusses. Every now and then he’ll cuss in French but he rarely cusses in English. When he does this everyone goes quiet cause he’s either in a lot of pain, very upset, or MAJORLY pissed.

• Him and California are the only two not allowed to be ANYWHERE near guns. (With the Wild West and the Black Panther group, please don’t quote me on this, California would be able to shoot guns frighteningly well. I also believe Loui would be extremely good at shooting guns, like, completely incapacitate someone but still keep them alive. Everyone believes they’d be way too dangerous with a gun. Even Florida won’t give them a gun….sometimes)

• Him and Florida have a pet alligator that they’ve named Kitten. She’s around 8 feet and is the biggest softie ever. When the others hear they’ve got a pet named Kitten, they assume they have a cat and weren’t very creative with the name. They are wrong. Florida and Loui laugh every time they agree to meet Kitten and she’s a big ass gator. Govs the only one who got used to her (surprisingly) cause when they got married (pushing my Flouigov agenda) Kitten would constantly follow Florida or Loui and she eventually started following Gov too since he was there more then the other states and she now sees his as a family member.

New York:

• He LOVES to draw. Like, this man always has a sketchbook on him. Any chance he gets he buys a new one (literally me tho) but they don’t last cause he’s always drawing.

• He’s got hella tattoos. Him and California have the most tattoos out of anyone else in the statehouse. Most of the states believed New York had the most tattoos until there was a pool party at the statehouse and they saw Californias.

• Him and Colorado are surprisingly friends. They’re hiking buddies and like to go exploring together. New York likes hiking with Colorado cause he’s allowed to climb pretty much everything. Colorado likes hiking with York cause he’s one of the only people who can keep up with him.

• Him and Jersey like to act like they hate each other, but they’re actually twins and they’re really close. They created different signals (hand placement, facial expressions, pencil/pen placement) to have silent conversations in the middle of a meeting. They’ve started randomly laughing while Gov or one of the other states were talking and had to leave the room to stop. Everyone was very confused.

• Begged Illinois to go see the Chicago rat hole and when Illinois finally agreed he was super excited. He took so many pictures and even left some money there. He cried when he found out someone filled it.

• Him and California have a black oriental cat that they’ve named Gremlin. He’s so stupid and they love him very much.

Texas:

• Him, Jersey, and North Dakota all garden and they love to go to one of their houses and plant new plants that they bought while shopping alone cause they have no self control- (Jersey is the garden state and North Dakota is the peace garden state)

• He has a red dun quarter horse with white blaze and sock markings (yes I looked it up cause I had a very specific image in my head) named Janie. He likes go horseback riding a lot since it calms it down.

• He’s also got an Australian shepherd named Buck (I know so original) but the funny part is she’s a girl. She learned to nip at people’s feet when they call her a he and Texas finds that hilarious. When he says she has an attitude, he means it. She’s also like an emotional support dog for him which honestly he needs. This boy got hella trauma-

• This man is deathly terrified of big crowds. If he can’t easily get to an exit he starts to panic. And when I say panic I mean p a n i c. He started crying and having a panic attack after a meeting cause he was too tired to teleport and everyone kinda crowded around the door to talk. It was made even worse when they started crowding him to make sure he was ok. Buck ended up not leaving his side for a while after that, even going to meetings. If she saw people crowding the door she’d go up to them and bark till they left.

Quick summary:

A digital entity but not ai. No programing or files. No one knows how he came to exist.

The Purple Dragons snuck a virus into Donnie's tech. When Donnie finally cleaned it out, he noticed there was still something there. Enter, a confused as hell Net.

At first he could only be in screens, then he could form a hologram. Eventually, with Mikey and Draxum's mystic powers, his holographic form can become physical to his will.

Lots of random details. A lot of them:

Once he got his physical form, he could not change it.

He can mentally "shift" between digital, hologram, and physical. Their physical body continues to live, even if they aren't in it.

You can tell when he is in his physical body because his markings will glow slightly.

In screens and holograms, he can transform himself into whatever he wants.

They decided to have a softshell because it seemed more convenient. (He also chose to be a turtle because the others were)

The physical form is flesh and blood, they aren't a robot.

Once he gained a physical form, he became fascinated with the senses. Always wearing clothes, listening to music, etc

He does get overwhelmed tho. Like, he's either easily overwhelmed by everything or can't get enough. No in-between.

Donnie disliked him for a while because Net came from the virus.

They become close though. Net is close to everyone.

They're a little shit.

Doesn't understand physical needs. For a while, everyone had to constantly remind him to eat/sleep/etc because he would go days without it otherwise.

Identity crisis? Haha what's that?? Net definitely doesn't have that (he does)

He has a lot of similarities to Donnie, both personality wise and physical. The two think it's because he "woke up" in Donnie's tech

Which is main root to his identity problem.

He quickly picks up traits from everyone else too. The first week or so after being introduced to everyone, he mimicked them a lot.

He gave Splinter peanut butter when they first met because he read on the Internet that rats love it.

He can float/fly as a hologram.

He can access the Internet in his mind at all times.

Forgets they can't when physical. Leo laughs everytime they land on the ground (he make sure they're okay tho)

Sometimes has glitch episodes. Very painful.

He technically can be injured when digital, it's just more of a spirit thing.

If they shift while hurt, the injuries can still get worse since the body is still alive.

If the body dies, he does too.

Mentally, he's around the same age as the turtles

Pain scares the fuck out of them. Whenever Leo has to give him a shot or something, he literally has to be pinned down and restrained by mystic powers so he doesn't go digital.

He regularly steals. From the boys, the store, the bank, anyone and everyone is a potential target.

oooh you have no idea what you just unlocked >:) to get into Az's motivations, we need to bust open some Mortae lore. because this guy is old. like, old old. like, the second Mortae that was ever created old.

Morrigan is referred to as the First (Mortae) but that's not really true because she's not technically a Mortae, she's Death. so who was the first? Uriel! (we learn more about the mess that was his death + resurrection in act 3 but yea, he's been around for a while which is why he's Morrigan's right-hand man)

Az was resurrected shortly after, and for a long time, he was hopping around with Uriel. they were new, they were testing the limits of their immortality and what Morrigan would let them get away with, they were the only two of their kind. in the early years, they had little purpose besides finding souls to slurp on and not upsetting Death (which was pretty easy because at this point, nobody was opposing her)

he wasn't exaggerating in Judas Wept when he introduced himself to Theodore as "a friend of [his] mother." he and Uriel are probably the closest thing that Morrigan has to friends. even tho Az isn't directly working for her anymore, he's been loyal for long enough that he remains one of her most trusted allies.

SO. back to the actual question you asked lol. when Theo was being held captive at the end of Judas Wept, Az spent weeks with Morrigan convincing her to let him give it a shot, let him look after her son, he'll set the boy right, etc. he absolutely wanted the job. and yeah part of it was because he wants to be a father, but he also saw that Theodore was suffering and knew that he was maybe the only person that could remove him from the situation and offer him something better.

because unlike Uriel, Az still holds on to some of his humanity (see: the painting of his wife which was created with materials that only existed long after her death. see: the preoccupation with rituals like having dinner together every night)

Az doesn't remember his real name. he doesn't even remember what he looked like when he was alive. but he does remember how to care for others, which is arguably the most human trait of all

and he's successful enough at keeping Theo in one spot and out of trouble (a herculean task) that he becomes a daycare for errant Mortae that don't respond to violent punishment (hi Marcella)

the caveat is that he's still bound to obey Morrigan (and somehow get her wet rat of a son to obey her, too) so he's forced into some decisions that make Theodore vewy angwy

What's good, y'all! It's me again, so you know what that means :) You all know how I function by now. I write things down in the order they appear in my brain, so things may be a bit scattered, but if you can look past that, then I hope you enjoy my ramblings.

In today's issue of The New Yap Times: THOSE FUCKIN' CHARACTER REFS HOLY SHIT—

So, those character references, amirite? First off, those things are fricking fabulous. Good stuff, Starry. Secondly, y'all know how this goes by now. I've got a lot of things I wanna say and I don't know how to say it, but hopefully, this will get easier the further I go. So! Let's start going down the line--shall we?

"Fire" Red Yuuji: MY BABY-! Okay, okay, lemme stop lmao. But like, look at him. He looks so good! Y'all have no idea how much I celebrated when I saw that my boy Fire got a pair of snow pants and some boots like LET'S GO-! He's not on a mountain in jeans and sneakers anymore; he's got some (keyword: some) appropriate snow gear! Plus, that jacket is still clean as hell. Not gonna lie though, I was kinda like Ehhhhh (unsure) about the new frostbite for him, but after looking at it for awhile I'm more like Ehhhhh (positive). I like it! He looks like he toes the line between being cold/unapproachable and lookin' like a sad baby seal. 9.5/10. (I only have one major complaint about Fire as a whole, and it's a big one: I don't know how you've done it, but you've somehow made him look even more huggable and yet I still cannot hug him. It's a sin >:( Don't worry though, he's really a 10/10, I'm just sad and petty-)

Leaf Aoyama: The Babygirl! Yes ma'am! (I'm so happy that she and Fire tied for once-) She's so beautiful, and I love her hair and eyes! I liked the subtlety of the old markings, but I mess with the new ones heavily. She looks like she's got some gnarly burns on her hands, which is kinda worrying. Plus, I really like the little additions to her outfit. I like her little socks (I think they're socks??) and the necklace/heart locket, too! Where'd she get it? Who's in there? I wanna know! Hopefully, she will share it with us one day. 10/10. (Bonus for Leaf: I know I already mentioned it in the comments of the actual Leaf post, but THE ESPEON!? HELLO?! Imma need the lore for that-)

Blue Gary Oak: PRETTY BOY ALERT HOLY MOLY- Okay, genuinely, Starry, why did you make him so pretty? Jesus- Anyway, moving on- This man is fabulous, and I need him to help me with my wardrobe. He's got STYLE! And his eyes, man, his eyes are GORGEOUS! The jewelry, the aviator jacket, the button-up—he got that shit on tho! Onto his body though, I really like all of his freckles. And I had always wondered why he had bandages on his wrist for his researcher outfit, and I kinda put two and two together to speculate why, but I didn't want to be right. But I have confirmation that I was right with the updated reference, and now I'm just sad :( But in spite of that, his design is still clean with lots of effort put into it. Another 10/10. (Also, Blue named some of his Pokémon and I think that's sweet. Otto and Akira are adorable names and I would like to meet them and spoil them with treats thank you-) (It also makes me really sad that Blue self-harms. Like, I expected it, but still. He hurt himself, and from the looks of things, still does. He doesn't deserve that. Hopefully, we can help Blue wean off of SH later down the line by offering some alternatives and a listening ear.)

"Glitchy" Red Tajiri: Then there's this rat bastard (affectionate). Where... where do I even start with this dude? Don't take anything I say about this man the wrong way, his design is peak and the art is amazing, but he looks so... wrong. Like, ewww, bro. I know he hasn't eaten in god knows how long, but why doesn't he look alive? Why tf is he printer paper white? He just ain't right man. (Slenderman lookin' ass. Bro looks like he bites. Probably microwaves his cereal before he eats it, too. Don't tell him I said that-) Nevertheless, creepy shit aside, I really like how disheveled he looks! Torn, dirty clothes, shoes with holes in them, and long messy hair—it fits him and I mess with that heavy. Also, the viscera that comes with that super glitchy form is crazy! It looks so cool, but it can't feel good in any manner. He's so skinny, too! I am deeply concerned for this man, probably more than I initially was for Fire, and that's saying something. Again, another 10/10. This man has grown on me significantly. (Also, his poor Pokémon team :( What happened to them? I'm curious but also afraid to find out. I also like how his Team has Gen 1 sprites. Nice touch-) (Also, me looking at that digital viscera form with MissingNo limbs ripping out of his chest. "Mhm..." Adds it to the Parasite theory. "Mhm.")

Okay! It's been a while since I started writing this (it's currently 2 AM for me lmao I started at 11) and I think I'm done—with this version! You thought I was finished? NO. I have more thoughts about these references—lots of thoughts—mostly about the Spoiler Edits and Blacked out parts, along with the new Biographies/Descriptions. But that's for a different time and post. This was just me rambling about the updated designs because I have no one else to yap to about it at the moment. So, there will be another, more theory-driven edition of The New Yap Times coming eventually, but not tonight.

i need to respond to this stuff without giving too much away now.. trust me when I say that for these design updates, a LOT of thought went into the changes, both aesthetically AND for what they mean regarding the stories. but though i know all the meaning and intent being them, i wanna leave it all open to interpretation and theorizing as best as i can...

that said i want to talk a LITTLE about it bc dear god this is such a good analysis and observations LOL

re: Fire - his new snow fit was smth that took a lot of mulling over and was decided on based on the fact that he'd get it in universe from... somewhere. :) the updates to his frostbite were also VERY deliberate- for one i was worried the old stylizing would be read as blush when seeing him out of context... i wanted it to be clear that this is a severe injury. i def did my best to make him toe the line of..... Unapproachable, and Aesthetically Pleasing. im very glad i pulled that off!!

re: Leaf - ill admit to keep it real a large drive behind changing her markings into burn scars was bc i didn't like drawing the chain markings on her arms LOL. but the change is also a deliberate choice that i won't elaborate much more on.. its definitely less subtle, but i think weird scars can be easily justified in the world of pokemon. as for her pokemon... all can be explained in due time! though id certainly suggest putting that scanner and dex to use ;)

re: Blue - blue's always been focused more on Fashion over Function- if there's one thing he cares about, it's appearances. him being more of a prettyboy is intentional by virtue of the fact that he tries to look attractive and such. the.... other thing is smth ive mostly kept as subtext, particularly happening in... recent works. :) but its not something i intend to treat lightly once it's explicitly acknowledged. i honestly considered hiding it like with other things on these refs but that just seemed like overkill ultimately.

as for nicknames- god i really want to give other pokemon nicknames that reflect their trainer's personalities. the problem is that immm just bad at naming things tbh. Leaf would have a fully named team, and Blue would too, or at least a few more than just Otto and Akira. i was thinking Dusty for his Jolteon... ill probably head back and edit names in as we work em out! the refs will definitely be good to glance at from time to time. fires team is nameless and reds team would be .......... immature.

Chapter two–Awake

(We start with reader’s point of view)

You can't seem to remember at that moment what happened to you, you feel light, maybe you were too scared to notice before. When you were being dragged by one leg to a big mushroom whose teeth had sunk into you. It was a flash of light the first time then you woke up, chills moving up your body, you were still in that place with it. You tried to slide backwards, but it grabbed you, ripped you apart. Soon you just lay waiting for your doom once again you had no idea how long it had been going on for, you were shaking as this nightmare played over and over again. Sweating, shaking, hyperventilating, your head was spinning. As Edwin sat there waiting for you to awake, he noticed you were hyperventilating. He knew he needed to wake you tell you, you were now safe. He gently set the cat off his lap. Put it on the grass beside him as he came to your side, and slowly, gently he touched his hand to yours, after a second he held it, as he did your eyes slowly opened. You took in the night sky, the trees, and the boy, with short black hair, that was a tad messy, at least until he reached up and made it neat. This boy looked tall, thin, and very attractive, his green eyes continued to look at you as he set kneeling beside you, holding your hand. That certain gesture from him seemed to calm you, you felt a different kind of chill run up your spin, one you haven't felt ever since well you are not sure, but you know it's not fear. Then he spoke, his voice sounded crisp and it had a bit of a accent.

“Your safe now,” Edwin paused then continued,“ do you remember how u ended up there?” Edwin tried to sound professional, he wasn't quite sure how he felt about the person seeing as Charles didn't feel the same way he did, he was still reeling from that. Added to that, he couldn't expect this person to feel anything for him. Edwin put up his controlled persona once more to see this person as a case to solve even tho crystal and Niko were both cases, and yet they have become friends, he thought. Edwin looked at the person laying in front of him as they opened their mouth to speak, but no words seemed to come out. Edwin couldn't help but look at this person's eyes, he wondered how someone so very attracti…he cut his own thought off and stopped looking at their eyes.

You lay there trying to remember, trying to answer this boy's question when you notice him look away from you, you squeeze his hand which is still wrapped around yours, this makes him let loss a kind smile. You try again to speak, this time words come out, but they sound very stuttered.

“I…d..d…don't…remember..alot” The boy replies, “That's quite alright, can you tell me what you remember..” Edwin thinks for a second, then opens his mouth again, “also my name is Edwin Payne.”

You try to sit up, Edwin is quick to help you sit against a tree beside the tree he was leaning against earlier. The cat, who had been watching, the moment unfold, looks at you and runs off, presumably to go rat to the cat king. A bit of a worried expression can be seen on Edwin's face as he watches it leave, but he quickly masks it, as he thinks to himself

“I hope I haven't put this ghost in trouble with the cat king”

He looks at you, putting back up his persona as you start speaking.

“I I… I was dared..to go to some house…while I was visiting this town,..then..” tears run down your cheek as you remember, a woman, saying you would be punished… that she needed a test subject, she tortured you, then killed you, you remember she dumped you in the woods you didn't know how you were alive, then the mushroom. You start to turn a little pale as you remember, causing Edwin to hold you a little, it's clear his persona is slipping.

“I am sorry, sorry she did that to you, you never should have been dared, you didn't deserve what happened. I understand you” he remembers how Simon and the other boys sacrificed him. Edwin lets a caring smile show as he moves a little closer.

“Your safe with me, I know how it feels to die over and over, “

His words make you smile a little, you move closer slowly, Edwin lets you, he looks at your body then at your face as he speaks.

“Would you like to go back to the flat I am staying at, it would be better than here?”

You nod, he helps you stand up, his hands feel warm on your body, then he speaks again.

“I don't want to startle you, but… I am a ghost, and so are you”

Your shocked, but you seem to understand maybe you already knew this, or maybe you just didn't care, as he led you through a mirror, you fallowed intently. Once you stepped out, Edwin was standing there in the middle of the room watching you then as if he realized something he spoke.

“Now that I have told you, you're a ghost, death will come, you should go with her to your afterlife!”

He said, as a sad look started to creep onto his face, but he quickly hid it. Edwin didn't know why he told them they were a ghost so fast, perhaps he didn't want them getting hurt by the cat king or Esther again. He watched as their mouth opened, and they walked closer to him.

“What if I don't like my afterlife, maybe I should… just stay with you..can I?” Edwin looked a little disappointed as he said

“why would you want to stay with me, I could put you in danger, you have already been through enough”

Edwin left out that he might have already put reader in danger but, it's clear he cares about you, there's a smile on his face that shields his sadness you can't stay. However, you, seen to be able to read Edwin as you walk over and place a weak hand on his shoulder. “T… Thank-you for saving me…but I don't think I am ready to go, Whatever…happens I can handle it…can you?”. Edwin looks directly into your eyes as a smile comes onto his face as he looks at you as he replies..” i….” Edwin does not know how to respond, as he takes your hand and watches you smirk. As you gaze into each other's eyes, you start leaning closer, slowly as to not startle him to be honest with yourself this is the first time you have felt this way about someone for so long.

Edwin's a bit shocked at this move of yours, he does not know for sure, but he feels something for you that's clear to him. Steps a little closer to you, it's clear he's a bit shy..

Just then a loud bang goes off downstairs in jennies shop, smoke covers both floors and seeps into all the rooms as a blood chilling laugh sounds throughout the building.

Edwin's face becomes very worried as he takes your hand and leads you to the door as you ask,

“W..what's going on Edwin, what's happening?” Edwin holds your hand, tightly it's clear your both scared as you make your way down the hall and ascend the stairs, the laughter gets louder once the two of you get to the first floor..you both see the intruder..the shops been destroyed and a woman with blonde hair and a fur coat with something in her hands stands in the middle this woman turns around, and you go cold, sweat running down your body, as you whisper “E… Esther!” Edwin looks at her and stands in front of you as if he's protecting you, but he really doesn't know what he's doing.. But then Esther just laughs says she's already got Charles, this makes Edwin tense more but before either of you can do anything she goes to suck the both of you into her dvice it feels like a vacuum cleaner it's strong. Then everything goes black!

You and Detective Tada have been in contact for a while now. Mostly you just text him to let him know you’re still alive, and occasionally you meet for a face-to-face chat over coffee. Unfortunately Tadashi keeps you out of the loop when it comes to his work, so you can’t share any secrets or tips about where he’ll pop up next. Sometimes you think Tada is just relieved to have a normal person to talk to, not one who’s a killer or chasing killers. 

This day feels different. Tada is full of nervous energy, tapping his coffee cup, the table, eyes darting back and forth. Then he says something that stuns you. 

“How would you like to escape from Usobuki?” He blurts out unprompted. You freeze, hands squeezing your coffee mug. “I’d like to help you get out. I can set up a police guard to make sure he doesn’t get to you ever again.”

Speechless, it takes a while before you find your voice again. “If the guard falls prey to hypnotism, then it won’t work,” you point out. 

Tada shakes his head. “I’m prepared to be your personal bodyguard. Look…” He leans in closely, putting one hand over yours. “You shouldn’t have to be with him if you don’t want to.”

You look down, not pulling away yet. As tempting as it sounds, you hesitate to give an actual answer. 

When you open your mouth, it’s to yell, “Watch out!”

The server came by to refill your coffees, but nearly poured the boiling hot coffee right on Tada instead. You manage to pull him away enough that only a splash lands on his pants. 

Tada lets out an undignified yelp and grabs handfuls of napkins as the server apologizes profusely.

They nod and scurry away towards the kitchen. As you watch them go, you spot a flash of red peeking out of the shadows. 

“Hey, Tada? Don’t eat that dessert.”

He looks confused, but you get up without an explanation. 

“Wait—” 

“I really have to go now. I’ll see you later.”

Once home, you let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding. 

A week later, you get a text from Tada: Had the free cupcake tested. Spiked with rat poison. Thanks for the warning. 

You can feel Tadashi’s eyes on you, and when you meet his gaze, you’re unsettled by those swirling red depths.

i'll never get tired of chase wholeheartedly trusting sharpe. literally handing over his best men to help sharpe, even for a mission he doesnt like 🥺. something bad is gonna happen to him isn't it. i dont trust cornwell.

i like how this is like sharpe is babysitting chase's kids. trying to keep them safe and out of trouble.

aaah and now i have reached the end of the prequels and will get into the main event! Prey would prob be my lowest rated book so far, because the plot meanders and sharpe has no real motivation towards anything that happens outside of his vague, low chemistry relationship with astrid lol. i probably enjoyed tiger and triumph the most? then trafalgar (because chase!!!), then fortress really close to trafalgar, and prey a few steps lower than all of those.

i have so many scenes i want to draw, but my new tablet pen won't be here until monday still :( so i just gotta hold onto it all hhhhh

Sorry this is long! I liked your thoughts and I didn’t even want to get into it bc there’s sooo much to hash out with this last season and show overall.

I haven't even thought about the Cain and Abel angle since the first couple of seasons with the whole golden boy thing. I'm glad EZ knew that Angel had to do it for his son.

That scene when Santi called him dad was soooooooooo cute; I melted. I was wondering where their daughter was tho

They definitely should have patched Nestor in sooner but I hated that his "initiation" or first act as a full patch was to shank EZ. And then for Bottle's initiation to kill Sofia that was sad. And it was sad when his amigo died too. Her death was so unnecessary tbh and I think it was more so bc she was a reminder/connection to EZ rather than a liability, but that too.

It was sooo satisfying to see someone get an upper hand on Issac and I'm glad that bald dude ratted on him bc he knew the Mayans was the lesser of the two evils and it showed that a MC outlaw is not just a mindless killer; they have some sort of morals or internal conflict. I wished that Hope would have ran away with Letty bc Letty for sure would have agreed the second time. They could have made it work. Issac is petty and clever, so I wouldn't put it past him to keep looking for her if they even went across the country, but he has bigger fish to fry at the same time. Idk how far SOA chapters stretch, bc I just assume all these MCs stick to the west coast, but I woulda just went to Chucky like Letty said then prepared to go to Canada. They had each other and I loved that! But I'm glad Letty is still not alone and that they seemingly accepted her back into the Broken Saints.

I love the Broken Saints btw. I feel like it was well overdue to introduce a black and female run MC into the show, especially as partners despite the Mayans doing them dirty. It was always just Mayans and SOA with a sprinkle of the Swole Bros and idr if the Samoans were an MC or just a gang from S1.

Ughhh, you know I'm always so torn on Taza. I fully agree that he was the reason for EVERYTHING and the only reason he didn't die is because he'd been through thick and thin with Bish and he didn't have the heart to go through with killing him. Had the rest of the club known, he woulda been Et Tu Brute'd like EZ a long time ago. Going nomad was their compromise I guess, but the nerve and honestly stupidity of him to want to come back? At all? With EZ as pres? Him not having that communitas/”brotherhood” that he missed and craved from the club was his punishment, so Idk why he thought it'd be ok to just casually ask to come back, especially so soon. In the middle of a war no less! He was the oldest member! Like consider yourself lucky that you aren't out there limping like Hank was when he was trying to complete some hits...smh...I hate that his character turned into lowkey the worst one.

YOOOOOO fucking Potter dude. I've been wanting to see that smug mf be taken down for so long. Like how does he do it! Honestly, I couldn't take Miguel and Emily's smugness more, so I was down for them getting taken down by the gov bc I also thought that would help the Mayans too instead of dry up the pipeline. But the angle they played with Dana Delany's character was so intriguing, though I was skeptical since it was yet another new plot line that I was afraid would take screen time away from tying up other established plot lines. The most I ever liked Emily was in this season because I rooted for her to get out. Miguel was toxic for her since day 1 and I wish that guy's mom didn't stop her from leaving so Miguel could have stayed alive to rat out Potter. I wish there was something else he could have done to ensure that such as a written statement with his lawyers as a witness just in case. On the other hand though, I'm glad Emily got revenge bc he literally tried to kill her and then just brush it under the rug and had her sister killed. But that was Dana Delany's best chance at getting Potter. Attitude wise, she was his match; she wasn't scared of him or thrown off by his weird demeanor. I agree with your point # 5.

Also Cielo having been on this show since like S2 I think and always being a background character that we’d just see and hardly hear and Elgin didn’t forget about her and turned her into a major player by killing a Mayan and helping rat out the club to Potter and Kody. She was like their longest lasting bartender I think. 

Also speaking of bartenders, what’s with that lady that Bish ruined his relationship with Izzy’s friend for? A couple of seasons ago when they were doing the one true king plot and it was Mayan against Mayan, wasn’t she the old lady to one of the Mayans from another chapter? Like they killed her man in front of her but left her alive. I thought she began to pop up in the clubhouse to stay loyal to the “winning” chapter to stay alive or, more likely, to plot and enact revenge on the chapter that killed her man. I thought Elgin was gonna try and turn that into a plot by her encouraging Bish to get super drunk/destructive to get secrets out of him or kill him and rat the whole club out or something. I must be thinking of someone different, bc all she did was genuinely seduce the man who indirectly killed her man and then break things off by saying that he was too much for her. I didn’t trust her the entire time she was on screen and didn’t like that Angel left his baby with her honestly, but outside of Sofia, she was the only woman left at the clubhouse.

Angel being left with just his son is wild! I really wish him and Luisa coulda had a happily ever after, especially since we didn't get that with EZ and Gabi. And I honestly thought that Elgin forgot about Mini, so I was happy to initially see that she was back on the screen after a few seasons because, while her son was her first priority, Mini was like her daughter and the fact that she still went out to look for her was amazing and very much something Adelita would do. Ik Mini was hurt, but I really wish she gave her a chance to explain herself. I never would have thought that she would be the one to kill her, tho from Mini's POV, I could see why she felt betrayed.

I also almost forgot about the ambush at the end! idk how. Because of that, I'm glad Angel got out when he did in the nick of time. Imagine, after losing Luisa, had to lose his dad then right when he was gonna leave for good, have to help murder his brother all while his son is in the clubhouse and then if they didn't let him leave, the ATF woulda got him and Maverick woulda been back in Potter's hands and he prob woulda took him in as his own sort of weird trophy over Luisa/Angel/the whole MC. Despite having to raise his son completely alone now, he is a great dad which I am pleasantly surprised about bc I always thought he was gonna be all talk, then learn the hard way and not take fatherhood well.

Why couldn't the storyline with Hank end better, that sweetheart. Ending it with putting his mom in a home that she hates. He could have used her declining health as an out to take care of her. He prob wouldn't have bumped into Nails, but still. Now, his mom won’t know why he stopped showing up to see her unless Nails sees what happened on the news and tells her. Nestor left the toxicity of Miguel for the different toxicity of the MC (even though he joined with/when El Padrino was still in charge, so it wasn't as toxic) and he's gone. And Bish! He'll never get to see his little cousin like he said he would. And Ironically, Taza is the only technical Mayan that survived it all. I'm also glad that when Letty pulled up with that little ass gun, she had enough where-with-all to pull tf back out the scrapyard and realize it wasn't worth it especially before the ATF showed up.

Its crazy that the entire Santo Padre Chapter is obliterated and doesn’t exist anymore. I wonder what that means for other chapters of the club. 

My thoughts on the series finale of Mayans…

I think we all agree this last season was rushed af. Most of the storylines were a discombobulated mess. Was it there greatest series ending? No. Was it the worst? Also no. There are some things I liked and A LOT I didn’t. Here’s my list of what I liked and how I wish some storylines went.

I agreed…

1.) With the way EZ died. Since he took over he was very much given dictator vibes. I enjoyed the way the club going all Julius Caesar to kill him. I also think we all knew that Angel was going to have a hand in EZ’s death since day one. (At least I did). There was always a Cain and Abel factor in there, even if Angel was reluctant to do so.

2.) Speaking of Angel, I did appreciate the fact he lived and got away with Maverick. The beach scene was honestly the best thing in the whole finale.

3.) Marcus/El Padrino getting out of the life and living the rest of his days with his family. He came a long way.

4.) Bottles and Nestor getting patched in. Though Nestor should’ve been patched awhile ago. I would have loved to see him as a full fledged member.

5.) Isaac dying. He was a great fucking villain, but he had to go. I wish Hope was the one who did it though, but I was okay with EZ being the one to do it.

… yeah that’s about it.

I disagreed…

1.) As much as I love Taza, he should’ve died and not be able to live his life as a nomad. Killing Riz was the start of all of this! Literally lead to the civil war between the Mayans, the war with the Sons, and the cartel. It should’ve been done back when the Mayans showed up in Santo Padre. I don’t understand how he got off scot free.

2.) Miguel, Ez, and Angel not knowing that they’re brothers! What was the point of all that if they were never going to find out? It should’ve been addressed a lot time ago in Season 3 or 4.

3.) Killing Sofia. I’m sorry, but this was bullshit to me. She didn’t know EZ worked with the Feds. If they’re going with the whole “she’s a liability” route, the same applies to Angel. I would have loved to see Angel take her and Sally. They could’ve both gone out, start a new life, and raise their kids together.

4.) NOT KILLING POTTER!! Omg this man is like a cockroach! Potter should’ve definitely been a goner and Miguel be the one to take him down with Devlin. Katie/Kody could have taken his place or Devlin a la Agent Stahl and haven them focus on the Mayans.

5.) Speaking of Devlin, if they were going to get Miguel out of the way, I would have loved to see Emily work out some sort of deal with her to ensure Miguel spends the rest of his life in prison and pull a double cross rather than kill him.

6.) Angel not knowing Luisa/Adelita is dead. I would’ve have loved a scene with Mini showing up somewhere and telling Angel everything. Well maybe minus the part where she was the one who killed her.

7.) If Isaac was going to die this whole time, why did Hope have to? We should’ve seen Hope and Letty halfway to Ohio or the Broken Saints take them in.

8.) ATF busting in and killing the whole charter!!! This would’ve been a great ending if it was just a season finale, not a series finale! We should’ve at least seen a few members (Gilly, Hank, Bottles, Nestor, and Guero being cuffed) .
