By late morning, Jason and the brats were off the train and walking through the city of London, looking for the little tailor shop where their final document pickup was supposed to happen.
So far, Jason hadnât noticed anyone trailing them, and it was honestly sort of putting him on edge. They hadnât seen a hint of the League in several days⊠But hopefully they really threw Raâs men off by hopping on that train in New Delhi.
Maybe Raâs could be thinking they were still in India, since the identities theyâd flown to India with technically never left. That would be cool if Raâs could just waste his time forever searching for them in India.
But Jason wasnât naĂŻve enough to believe that. Chances were Raâs had some sort of access to the security cameras around the world, and had already figured out they were in Europe. Jason did his best to not look up for cameras to get a good shot of his face, but he had to be realistic here. Him and three kids were kind of obviously the four of them.
The tailorâs was a small little shop wedged between a sandwich shop and the lobby for what Jason assumed was the apartments upstairs. Casually, Jason opened the door and motioned for the kids to go inside first, then he followed right after them. He hardly had a chance to size up the two men inside before he heard the door click shut behind him.
Then lock.

it is appalling how underrepresented awadhi is as a language despite it being such a dominant force in indic literature. Hello? The Tulsidas ramayan sung across this country is in awadhi. Kabir ke dohe? Ras Khan ke poems? Awadhi!
Awadhi literature is being taught in hindi books as hindi literature? Children don't even know of this language. A lot many people instantly assume it to be bhojpuri or bihari when they hear it- but it is distinct from both of those.
No it is not a dialect (boli) of hindi. Awadhi is much older than not just hindi but also Khadiboli- the precursor language of hindi.
Parents in the Awadh region no longer teach their kids this language. Why? Because bollywood has done an awesome job of identifying awadhi with illiteracy, poverty or both in the media space.
Hindi is not the natural language of uttar pradesh. "Hindi belt" sounds like a slur at this point. We have 7 distinct languages here which are dying out. Hindi is not the mother tongue of UP- it is the mother tongue of Delhi and its sub regions.
Awadhi is the language of Awadh- land of Ram.
We have Brajbhasa of Braja, Kannauji, Kauravi in Northern UP, Bagheli and Bundeli in the western borders and Bhojpuri in the south Eastern parts. All of these are older than hindi and its precursor. None of these are dialects of the delhi language so stop treating them as inferior sub languages. They have linguistic history and literature spanning far back in time.
If you are from southern India please be educated. Stop calling us hindi belt ffs- northern region is just as diverse and linguistically rich as your states if not more. UP is not a "bimaru" state either. Also we have no interest in imposing hindi on any state. We are possibly one of the biggest victims of hindi domination ourselves. Our scripts and language is systematically wiped off- not just in the last 75 years though-we have been struggling for a millennium. So please read, read and read more before you fall into stereotypes.

Alexander Von Schlippenbach â Globe Unity (Corbett Vs. Dempsey)
youtube
The Globe Unity Orchestra notched more than a few accolades. It was the first European free jazz big band, and in retrospect, the first improv supergroup. During a history that spanned over 20 years of fairly steady work and a more recent pattern of convening every ten years, it has carried a standard for concerted international effort to improve the world through the transmission of sonic energy. They didnât call it Globe Unity for nothing; its ranks were a model of multi-national cooperation, and it traveled far from its birthplace in Germany, thrilling and outraging audiences in locales as distant as Chicago and New Delhi.
Composer, pianist and lead Alexander von Shlippenbach didnât necessarily have all of that in mind when he put the first GUO together. He didnât even call it that; âGlobe Unityâ was just the name of the first piece it played. In the mid-1960s, he was part of a circle of musicians who had already been contributing for some time to the loosening and intensifying of jazzâs strictures in Europe. But he was not one who chose to forsake all he had learned in the process. Born in 1938, his post-war education included tutelage in classical composition, as well as a personal affinity for modern jazz. The two side-long pieces on this LP represented attempts to incorporate the sounds of free music into extent jazz and classical orchestral forms.Â
When this music was first performed at the 1966 Berlin Jazz Festival, Schlippenbach combined the top German free jazz combos â the Gunter Hampel Quartet, Manfred Schoof Quintet, and Peter Brötzmann Trio. The next month, he recorded âGlobe Unityâ and âSunâ in Cologne. The personnel list is a heavy whoâs who, and some folks might zero in on the names of the two drummers, Jaki (then spelled Jackie) Liebezeit and Mani Neumeier. In times to come, each would shape the rhythmic content of freak-forward German rock music, in Can and Guru Guru respectively. But thatâs not what they played here. In concert with Schlippenbach, who played tubular bells, gongs, and both the interior and keys of his piano, and vibraphonist Karl Berger, they provided a multi-hued manifestation of otherness and density. The two bassists added as much seething presence as pulse. Sometimes dramatic, other times exotic (which was not viewed then with the skepticism that it sometimes is now), and only very occasionally swinging, the rhythm section transcended its duties within the big band idiom to contribute immensely to the musicâs orchestral qualities.Â
The horns, however, are what made this music massive. You donât need the back cover action shot of players in the studio, confronted by overflowing music stands, to know that their united projection was charted out. The time when the orchestra would take on instant composition at an ensemble-wide scale was still a ways off. But by incorporating the broader tonal and timbral resources of the contemporary avant-garde into organized blocks of sound, they achieved a complex and looming sound which was matched at the time only by Sun Raâs Arkestra. When individual voices cut through, either as breakaway soloists or connecting joints in the multi-segmented compositions, they functioned both as foci for the energy and agents of structural cohesion. 56 years on, itâs still thrilling.Â
Globe Unity has gone in and out of the print since its first release by SABA in 1967, and this its return to the physical realm is welcome. This edition, licensed by the historically astute Corbett Vs. Dempsey imprint, is confined to limited CD and LP editions that recreate the original LPâs gatefold sleeve. Itâs gorgeous, but one has to point out that anyone who is likely to buy a CD is also unlikely to be able to read Schlippenbachâs much-reduced liner notes unless they supplement their normal corrective eyewear with a magnifying glass. Old eyes would benefit from either a fold-out insert or an online resource. But music like this is for hearing more than reading, and this reissue sounds gloriously present and alive.

Meet Adukia: A most-wanted fugitive in the 100kg gold smuggling case
The Department of Revenue Investigation (DRI) has launched a manhunt for Rakesh Kumar Adukia, who is one of the two prime suspects on the DRI 'radar' since the seizure of around 100 kg of smuggled gold from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu.Â
It is suspected that Adukia is on the run after he drew media attention on his alleged involvement in gold smuggling. Not only him, but his son has also reportedly fled to New Delhi after the seizure of the gold, according to DRI sources. Although it was found that he was involved in smuggling gold into Nepal from Hong Kong, he managed to flee because the authorities did not take timely action to arrest him.
The DRI raided his house in Kamalpokhari on Wednesday evening, a week after the gold was recovered, but he was not there. Although some documents were found, Adukia had already fled.
Controversial businessman Adukia has been trading silver since quite some time after establishing an office in Hong Kong. Earlier, he was involved in the Gorkha Development Bank scam as well. He was also active in the trading of stock markets till 2009.
Adukia, who happens to be a relative of Laxmi Bank's then owner Rajendra Khetan, fled without building a tower after taking a loan of Rs 900 million from Gorkha Bank to build a financial tower in Kamaladi. After 2009, Adukia opened a commodity marketing company called Wealth Exchange.
According to sources, he has an office in Kowloon City, Hong Kong. Sources claimed that not only him, but also other businessmen involved in gold smuggling have offices in Hong Kong and from there they play a supporting role in gold smuggling. Sources have claimed that 'Ready Trade' that brought about 100 kg of gold concealed in brake shoes was also opened according to his plan.
âAn investigation is now underway. Investigation is being done on the basis of facts and evidence,â said Navraj Dhungana, the director general of the DRI.
The DRI also raided the showroom of Ready Trade after it was discovered that gold was smuggled by concealing it in various imported goods from Hong Kong. Adukia's involvement came to light during the investigation after the seizure of the smuggled gold brought through the Cathay Pacific. Based on this, the department raided his residence.Â
A recent travel history of businessman Adukia shows that he flew from Kathmandu to New Delhi on April 13 on board a Nepal Airlines Corporation flight number RA 217, and from there to Hong Kong and arrived in Kathmandu on April 19 via Bangkokâs Thai Smile flight number W0319.
Similarly, on June 26, he reached Hong Kong again via New Delhi at 12:30 AMÂ in flight number RA 0217 of Nepal Airlines Corporation. After a 12-day stay, he arrived in Kathmandu on a Fly Dubai flight from Hong Kong via Dubai on July 5. After that, smuggled gold was recovered in Nepal.
âWe have seen his travel details. The trip itself is questionable. His past track record of taking loans from banks and financial institutions of Nepal has raised suspicion. Investigation is underway,â said an official of the DRI.
Before that, according to the information provided by the DRI, Adukia left Kathmandu for Hong Kong on May 26 and returned back to Kathmandu five days later on May 30.
He also went to Hong Kong on January 14. After staying for a week, he returned to Kathmandu in Cathay Pacific on January 21. Adukia was placed under suspicion radar on the day the smuggled gold was recovered by the DRI.
Businessman Deepak Malhotra, who was under suspicion along with him, held a press conference claiming that he was not involved in gold smuggling.âAdukia absconded when the DRI delayed arresting him,â said an official of the DRI. According to him, Adukia got a chance to escape because it took time to gather facts and evidence against him.
