We see that she understands Charlie's points about sinners, that people make mistakes and that they shouldn't be eternally damned for it. Lucifer made a mistake and was damned for it, and his wasn't even out of malicious intent. He wanted humans to be happy and free, and was punished for it, and I think Emily would understand that.
