like yes i am 20, but yes i respect this 12 year old as a person and ENJOY hearing about their interests

also like... ive hung out with 14yos, like, not alone, but ive still spent time with them

see, I would not be bothered about taylor swift (any more than about pop stars in general, that is) if she wasn't idolised so so hard by her fanclub. like, I've seen someone compare her to Shakespeare this week.

i have heard people say shit about murderface being transphobic and homophobic and shit and people using that to put down queer fans or trans self shippers internalizing that and feeling like he would hate them so I just wanted to make this post:

internalized homophobia is Way different than actual homophobia. Murderface would not give a FUCK if you are gay or bi or whatever. Would he be confused and use insults and hate as a defense mechanism at first? YES. But explain it to him and he will stop caring. He is not homophobic, he is just filled with hate for himself.

As for being trans, there is literally nothing in the show to indicate he would be transphobic other than comparing toki to a girl. he would not see you as anything other than the gender you identify as. He honestly would not give a shit and would probably be confused if you tried to explain that you were born as anything different than he sees you as. Non-binary, genderfluid and all that stuff? Yeah it confuses him and he would not really understand it but he would want to know more. He just wants to understand things and he feels weak by asking, so he uses hate to hide his feelings. He would honestly be jealous of you for being able to understand yourself and express yourself life that.

So yeah murderface would not be homophobic or transphobic and he loves all you trans and queer self shippers just the same. (he probably has his own gender things to work out on top of his sexuality)

gonna start ranting abt qsmp stuff here bc twitter scares me LOL i need to talk about it so bad!!

im not the BIGGEST fan of this event - i think the concept is super cool but sometimes it's super frustrating to watch literally any team grind for 6+ hours and then for the efforts to be futile because of a last minute thing/only a few members logging in on a day that requires more than one person (not to mention some of twitter,,,) but as long as the ccs are having fun then yknow!! but it's still a super cool concept don't get me wrong and it's been fun to watch like i'm always on the edge of my seat

but good LORD did tubbo COOK today's stream. like the pieces literally fell into place. i was convinced blue was cursed from the get-go but every single thing he pieced together just made SENSE. there's literally so much evidence backing up blue being the cursed team versus the one single red heron red team keeps hanging onto that in theory doesn't even make sense still taking quackity's ticket into consideration and the fact he was on a different team at the start. i wish they'd kinda just listened to what tubbo is saying because it genuinely makes so much sense but i feel like they're trying to not take the cursed team into perspective for content-sake which fjaeihfiuewf the cursed team is roleplay contentttt but whatever

part of me kinda feels like this event was supposed to be kind of a phase out of the eggs that weren't meant to last this long so i'm honestly not gonna be too mad if red wins bc they're too stubborn to listen to reason (and it'll be funny to see q!tubbo say i told you so LOL) but i think it would be a super good way to finally phase out the eggs and move on to a different part of the lore and i'm excited for it!!

I'm begging some of u to learn a little bit more about domestic animals and what videos are and are not cute On Your Own rather than hoping some dedicated expert will come along to correct something.

Cat saliva is toxic to many species of birds and reptiles, as well as rodents. You do not want to promote content that features a cat playing with a hamster under any circumstances, even if it seems cute and harmless. It is not.

Hamsters are incredibly fragile animals that aren't made to fall from heights or be flung around.

Fish are not toys either! They should not be treated like accessories or decorations in videos. They feel pain and stress like everything else.

If you see a non domestic animal in a domestic setting, question it. Look into it.

There's a whole subgenre of pet videos that's just people FAKING animal rescues. They'll glue things to the shells of turtles just to scrape it off on camera, unaware of the damage that's doing to the turtle every step of the way. They'll grab bags upon bags of fish out of pet store dumpsters that THEY THEMSELVES planted there.

Just please be very critical of the viral animal videos you're seeing. Animals can't speak up for themselves so we have to do it for them.

having adhd and getting diagnosed later in life is so funny because

when you’re eventually listened to and diagnosed, suddenly all of the evil horrible debilitating symptoms have a cause. so you’re like ok! yay! this can be managed right? i can make lists and try out mediations for months till I find the right one and plaster sticky notes everywhere and keep a calendar and remember to be a little quieter right?? awesome! and then eventually you find the mediation that works for you and everything totally clicks and you’re able to function mostly normally. and you’re like hoooly shit. you’ll then look back onto all the struggles and missed opportunities and feelings of stupidity and inferiority and be like man! i wish i knew what i know now! but then you start feeling hopeful, like yeah i feel so much better and i can start taking on my day. like i can actually keep a job and maintain relationships and do good in school if i want to. and you get comfortable! but then guess what? if you live in america (and many other countries) you suddenly start having a little trouble picking up your medications. maybe it’ll be a few days late, no problem. and then it’s a week, super frustrating but it happens. then it turns into a month, or months. and you’re like what the hell. and you ask your pharmacy, what’s the deal? and they’re like “yeah man sorry everything is back ordered from the manufacturer.” so then you’re like, what the heck let me look into this. and you realize due to drug manufactures under estimating the amount of drugs they need to make, and the government limiting them to certain amounts, there suddenly isn’t enough drugs to go around. and they can’t make any more, that would be too easy! the government needs to be aware of every single pill produced and manufacturer’s can’t be like “hey government, can we make some more?” because the government is like NO YOU CAN’T! so then you realize it could take days, weeks, months to get your prescription again. and then you realize the drug that’s helped alleviate the source of your troubles is gone. and all of the generic and alternative versions are gone too. so then it sinks in that all of the progress you might’ve made will eventually crumple down because you’re now suddenly at square -5, because somehow you’re unable to function even more compared to how you felt before being mediated! and then, maybe, you contact your doctor to ask if there are any alternatives. and then you ask again. and after a few times they’re like “hey, you’re acting pretty weird.” and suddenly you’re silently labled as having drug seeking behavior because obviously, obviously, you must be selling the drugs and not actually taking it right? because that’s all they’re good for, just getting high and maybe cleaning your house right? and then you’re REALLY back at square one. because what doctor or pharmacy will take you seriously now? and it really sucks because there are only so many lists you can make and sticky notes you can write before the root of the problem bears it’s stupid ugly head.

I think something that sucks about loving Sam is that, at some point, the creative team stopped caring about him and it shows. Everyone stopped taking his character seriously and all of the wonderful parts of his character begin to flatten, so moments when he takes an active role in the story feel jarring.

I have mixed feelings about the trend of using mason jars for all sorts of things because reuseable is good but you can use like... cleaned out jars from your recycling for most things, and for safe canning we need mason jars, and it just makes me a little sad when they're holding flowers or being use as cups or whatever that like... someone could be canning with those. But I guess if you buy them for that purpose it helps them not get super expensive, and if you're reusing from canned goods you ate, that's good too. Maybe it's just when they're on Buy Nothing and there's people who want to can but they go to someone who wants to organize craft supplies or whatever
