Rangnick says Austria must believe in hopes of France upset
Ralf Rangnick says self-belief will be vital as his Austria side hunt a major scalp in their Euro 2024 opener against France on Monday. France are viewed among the favourites to win the tournament, having won the 2018 World Cup and finished as runners-up at Euro 2016 and the 2022 World Cup under Didier Deschamps. However, Les Bleus have been tasked with a tough draw, with Austria tipped as…

Us trying to find an available trainer so we don't have to force Thomas to be a coach-player next season:

remember when bayern’s board got their phones stolen out of their pockets by a fan and they called every single available coach in europe from them but they weren’t answering so they called from their own phone and they all picked up

Everything said and done, I am happy for Ragnick. After all the slander and shaming by Manchester United, that man is showing that he's got it and in fact it was the red devils who were the problem (and they still are! Poor ten hag is aging by the minute).
Ralf Ragnarok is actually serving cunt in the group of death!

all of this is so amusing to me but Leroy needing to be calmed down by Marko fucking Arnautovic really was the icing on the cake

Ralf Rangnick on contact with FCB:
Bayern Munich contacted me and I also informed the ÖFB. We have a very trusting relationship
We are fully focused on the European Championships. I feel very comfortable here. At the moment, there's no reason for me to focus intensively and specifically on it.
At the moment when the Bavarians would say: We want you. And then I have to ask myself: Do I even want that?
If I want to do something else, I'll discuss it with the ÖFB first and foremost
(He is not interested in money)No, that doesn't matter to me at all. For me, it's about other things: Can I make a difference? Is there anything I can do? Is there a chance to develop a team and be successful? That's what drives me. Once that no longer drives me, it's time to retire

with all due respect to inter milan, I can’t stop laughing at the fact that the angle the athletic decided to take was “three ex-man united players are in the final and their job is to protect united’s treble” as if any of those men actually care about united anymore

Rangnick is so moved by this simple gesture of his team celebrating his birthday..brb crying in the corner 🥹😭
I've said that it makes me teary-eyed eyed seeing Jesse much more appreciated with his new team? The same can also be said about this man.
The hell he went through in his short stint at United. Where everyone in the organization turn their back on him without giving him fair chance, and what's worse is not having your players believe in you and gave up on a whim.

Maybe we should blame Ten Hag a little less and the Glazers a little more

Wan Bissaka's redemption arc
This tweet is all that needs to be said really; seeing Aaron Wan-Bissaka play with confidence and composure against a team of Real Madrid's ilk.
Tumblr media
This isn't a sudden switch of a flick though. Post-World Cup we saw a strong second half to the season for AWB. He dislodged Dalot from the starting RB position and looked tidy. Clearly Erik Ten Hag is seeing the work he's doing on the pitch, in training, and the associated development ongoing.
Aaron said it himself in interviews: he was surprised when United bought him, thinking he had another year of development in him before the step up. He came in to a United side that liked to sit back, soak, and counter. Like Harry Maguire he enjoyed that type of play, but then Ole Gunnar Solskjaer pushed to evolve into possession-based football and suddenly the team, with a lot of deadwood, was incredibly disjointed. Ole got the sack, Rangnick filled in to poor effect, and like the end of the Jose tenure or the Van Gaal spell before... United felt both devoid of ideas and devoid of soul.
Tumblr media
This inevitably lowered confidence and players then looked ropey as anything. If you asked fans post-Rangnick who you'd keep, you were lucky to get five names. Now look at us. Erik Ten Hag has come in and brought standards and the proper ethos back to Manchester United. Losing 7-0 to Liverpool sucks, but we still finished higher than them, and the XG on that game was way lower than that scoreline would suggest, but it happens. What we shouldn't do is dismiss the good work going on aside a bad (or nightmare) day at the office.
He's not the best RB in the league, but Wan Bissaka is an elite 1 on 1 defender, solid in his other defensive attributes, an excellent athlete, and he used to be a winger. He has the potential to expand his attacking game - this isn't virgin territory. IF he continues the hard graft to work on his weaknesses in possession and with his attacking movements he could soon grow and take that top spot, and with that consistency and confidence he could become Europe's no1 after that.
This may be hopeful thinking, but all we as fans can do is hope. We hope for the best and support players through the worst, but Aaron Wan Bissaka has come out of that worst period and is looking better than ever. Long may it continue for our Spider Wan.
