Thanks for the tag @kissingghouls and @ghuleh-recs 💙 (I might have shared one of these before idk I can't really think of anything)

I have a degree in Parks and Natural Resources! While I don't do anything with it career wise I go on lots of hikes with my dog and occasionally volunteer at a local nature center. Mostly I lead kids on walks in the woods or teach them about frog and bird calls.

I am scared of clowns and also twins, triplets, etc. (basically multiples of the same person idk it's weird)

I once got bit by a cobalt blue tarantula and yes, it hurt.

From what little i know I feel like that checks out. Torbek seems to idolize Kremy more than literally anybody should. Which is also super depressing. But anyway, I can see it.

Did measurements to get a better grasp of how Doran compares in size to real buildings I know.

Let's just say: I have a gut feeling this castle could have a giant-enough greenhouse without using up an entire floor.

To review: Castle Doran is 41 meters long. I have a gut feeling this only accounts for building area, and not the dragon head and wings sticking out. However, considering that he's taller than he is wide, this measurement is probably from the side. I think we can safely assume that Doran is around 20-25 meters wide (measuring the front face of the building, where the door and his head are).

Anyway, from here, I think it would be understandable for the game to use a grid map where each square represents a square meter:

A meter seems like around enough for the width of a garden bed

It's probably also thick enough for a hallway (but if not, the hallways can just be made 2 squares, or 2 meters, thick)

It's a nice, round, intuitive measurement. (Sorry Americans, but it's like water freezing and boiling points. Metric system just wins this round).

The map will span the width of the castle (so from one side of Doran to the other side), but not the length (so not completely from front to back). Hence why knowing the width of Doran is so crucial.

Let's see. I think I've done some random facts asks before so there may be some overlap because I'm not a very interesting person but let's see...

When I was like 6 or something, my brother had me convinced he was Peter Pan and he gave me a little bag of pixie dust. I was (and still am) terrified of heights but he told me if I jumped off the back porch, which was really high off the ground to tiny me, that I would fly if I sprinkled the pixie dust on myself. I got as far as climbing over the railing and trying to summon the courage to jump when he stopped me. Turns out the pixie dust was powdered sugar.

My favorite song of all time is Free Somebody by Luna from f(x). Idk what it is about that song that my brain latched onto like "yesssssss this is the one" but I just love it.

I am named after Laura Ingalls Wilder.

I am intensely weirded out by puppets, particularly of the Muppet variety. There's just something about those felt-covered bastards I don't trust.

I started playing the Sims 1 in 2002 when I was 16. I never owned a single expansion pack for it, but it captivated me so much, I was almost late for work more than once because my pixel people needed me.

I always say "please" and "thank you" to my virtual assistants, not because I'm afraid of a robot uprising, but because that's just how I am. I don't even realize I do it, most of the time. Me and Bixby (I'm a Samsung user) actually have beef because I'll be like "Hey Bixby open Outlook, please" and she'll be like "lol bitch Idk what Outlookplease is" and I'm like "OPEN. OUTLOOK. Please." and she's like "Idk what you want me to do, you don't have Outlookplease installed on your phone" and I'm like "I AM TRYING TO BE NICE TO YOU" and Bixby just sits there all smug and not opening Outlook like aldjfalsdjfadsjfalsjfsd what do you want from me why won't you accept my politeness???????

I have made my Simself in every version of the game except Sims 1 because it wasn't possible to do so. But in Sims 2, 3, and 4, I have made myself and of course I am always a witch with a black cat familiar.

My addiction to CAS goes back to childhood when I used to make dresses for my Barbies out of random scraps of fabric. I didn't know how to sew, though, so everything was held together with safety pins, dental floss, school glue, and tape.

Not only can I whistle, I can whistle pretty darn well. I can't sing worth a damn so I guess God felt sorry for me and gave me one singular musical talent. It just so happens to be the one that most people find incredibly annoying.

I've been fascinated by Greek mythology since I was a small child entirely too young to be reading Greek mythology. Do you know how much incest there is in Greek mythology?! A lot. A LOT! I was raised by Fundies so it's really surprising I was allowed to read those stories and nobody was like "hey maybe the 6 year old shouldn't be reading about all this murder and incest and baby-eating". Because baby-eating also comes up a surprising amount of times. I still love it, though. Give me a good Greek myth any day.

welp if you didnt know already, my native language is actually arabic soo I always found it hard to find REAL arab in sims community who is ‘into it’ yk. but there isnt sadly

I fear animals. yep especially those with furs and feathers OMG I CANT. but I do prefer sea creatures they are less scary for me (sharks are my favs btw🦈)

Im actually a human who does not spend lots of money on material things ngl, ig if I werent a gamer I would be RICH.

I always prefer choosing/making elder characters in ANY GAME I play fr idk why ig I relate to them lol

silly comic of a conversation in-game i thought was too funny not to make something proper for instead of a doodle ww

i think the sketch looks silly and goofy and funny so i find it important to share with you the mere presence of the faces i drew on it. i drew it on top of the boxes without staying inside its borders because i find my proportions can get wonky if i draw them cropped in a restricted space. and I feel trapped otherwise and i will draw BAD!!! give me spaceeeee to go wild!!!!

the head circles are there for emotional support

very low res speedpaint because truth is the canvas was much bigger than the space where my comic was placed. i didnt account when exporting my timelapse in 720px that that tiny space would look so pixelated ... but it's able to be percieved, so its okay.

(i will now comment on my process and it is not brief sorry)

usually i would try to clean up my sketches and figure out what goes on top before jumping into linework, but since there are multiple panels and drawings i chose to jump into inking right away for the sake of brevity. i just went in with a brush that uses pen pressure and drew what was needed. i added extra line thickness and contrast in areas around the face because it helps direct your eyes there more easily that way.

according to her equipment rei has a chain belt but i only remembered it existed once I was going to color, and i did not like that discovery... I chose to ignore it to maintain my peace. i already have the color palettes for these characters figured out, and i didnt really want to think about a new element at the moment www I tend to overthink those things a lot so i skipped it

the rest is rather straightforward! not that anything else wasn't, but in here i could turn my brain off and sing. linework and sketching require mumbling so i cannot turn my brain off. just block in the characters with a solid color so i can have a mask (something along those lines,) where the color can stay inside. then just color in !!!

Base colors just had slight cell shading on the skin, and for the hair i airbrush a bit of the skincolor in low opacity near the forehead... I'm not sure what it means, but i can look at the faces easier with it somehow. i like the gentle subtlety it adds even if you cant really tell. it makes things look nice.

background was just me blocking in the color of the wall and floor, shade the wall a bit, then slap a noise and free use wood texture on top. work smarter not harder ! yet it took a bit to make it look stylistically fitting with the characters, and even now i think bottom middle panel looks odd. whatever!!!

for the middle panel i thought itd be funny if the background was a solid silly and colorful one to contrast the next panel's sketchy black one. a contrast to how the word widow is seen. on that note my handwritting is not pointy. i gaslighted my hand into thinking that it was indeed pointy in that moment so i could write "not-yet dead person" in letters that didn't seem cute. my hand did not fall for it but it complied anyway

that's basically it! I'm not sure what else i could say that doesn't feel barebones because it really is that straightforward. if you're curious I used clip studio paint for this. only special brush used was for linework (a brush named Lemon Brush), the rest used were just the default. my computer gets the least credit. it was trying to convince me a 20mb file was going to nuke it all the time and hardly let me save multiple times so i do not appreciate it

Currently Watching: right now? nothing, because i just finished my 3rd or 4th rewatch of fantasy high season 3 (but thinking real hard about rewatching one of the earlier seasons next)

Currently Consuming: sage tea (i finally bought some again yey!!) and vanilla skyr

1. I’m a big Star Wars nerd since I grew up in a Star Wars household. I have a ton of Lego Star Wars sets and own Kylo Ren and Ben Solo lightsabers.

2. I am left handed. Actually all of my traits are recessive; blonde hair, blue eyes, freckles and the list goes on.

3. I broke my right foot two years in a row in college and had surgery the second time (I also attended the same college as Gale Cleven, yes that is a flex)

4. My favorite Disney Princess movie is Sleeping Beauty. The art style is just perfect beautiful and I’ve always adored it.

5. I keep every card I’ve ever receive since I was about 12. They’re in a huge boot box now as I have so many. I have cards from my birth and my first birthday from both of my great grandmas (they always make me cry)
