Good news is I only need 18 more potsherds on Tyr, bad news is that I have no idea what’s up with the last boss of the middle route.
Monroe will need 27, but I only want to get the hair for her for now.
Time to live in the variant dungeon for days. Route after route until my fingers fall off

look what finally remembered it has a tumblr account 💀 hi everybody
I drew a couple premades with colors based on albums that remind me of them, thought y'all would enjoy
nervous - who really cares (tv girl)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ripp - sports (modern baseball)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I ramble about them under here
janus shut up about tv girl challenge 💀 this isn't even really my favorite band lmfao I just feel like it suits nervous and pascal so well. there's this overwhelming vibe of longing in that whole album, like you had something wonderful and now it's gone and you're scared that that was the peak of your life, and it's all downhill from here. now it's just the memories and the bitterness and the things you left in each other's apartments. OUUGGH IM RGRGH AUGH
drawing-wise I like how nervous's drawing turned out. I have a tendency to absolutely destroy my colors and make them all muddy and blended so being limited to like five colors total and having to use the screen tones and dithering effects and stuff made it feel really... sharp, I guess? I don't like how it interfered with some of the details (like the face) but it was definitely a good way to tie everything together. main gripes with this one are the bandage on his leg (I know the blue is like symbolic or something but why is it so much darker than his skin it looks stupid) and the brick in the background because WHAT HAPPENED 😭 I finished this drawing at like 3am and I really thought I knocked it out of the park with that
ripp's is definitely worse though. the cover for who really cares is incredibly simple, but the one for sports is a whole picture, and I feel like I didn't lean hard enough into the yellows that dominate most of it. the piece looks nice, don't get me wrong; the colors are way richer than I usually would've chosen and it looks awesome, but... it doesn't look anything like the reference. which was kind of the idea. with nervous's, even though it's not incredibly similar to the album cover, you can see where I'm going with it. I don't think anyone would know that ripp's was based on the album cover unless you told them. I set myself up for failure the second I used more red/orange tones than the yellows and creams. whoopsie daisy I guess
I can't really pick out a single song that reminds me of ripp from this album, but I feel like the whole thing gives off "I need to get out of my hometown asap" vibes, as well as the weird awkwardness that comes with figuring out what to do next, which I feel absolutely screams ripp. go struggling small town boy! struggle to navigate early adulthood!
anyway idk I kinda hate both of them just because I've been staring at them for probably six hours combined and I'm about to explode
I might do more of these with other characters but there's not a lot of other premades that I associate with entire albums rather than random songs so idk we'll see
as a parting gift here's a shitty doodles of pascal and nervous as the dogs from twin fantasy by car seat headrest
Tumblr media
(the words in the background are random lyrics from the album)

The Sims is love. List 5 facts about a favorite sim couple of yours, and why you love them so much. Then pass this on to 5 others, whose sim couple(s) you also love. 💘💕
Tumblr media
Thank you for the tag @matchalovertrait!! I was totally going to do a Heather and Conrad post for this, but we're living their love story right now and new history is happening with them every day, so instead I decided to throw back to my In Bloom Legacy Gen 1 powercouple, Daisy (Darden) & Neal Nesbitt.
FACTS: 1. Neal was a gallery sim I made no edits to whatsoever, chosen because I liked his look and he had the Loves Outdoors trait like Daisy (challenge requirement). His WCIF post is here. 2. Daisy was created by mashing the random button in CAS until I had a blonde because I had only seen the challenge start with pretty blonde Daisys and sometimes I'm a trend follower. I picked her original last name, Darden, because it rhymes with garden. I'm the CAS-laziest, I've said this!
(Also I'm not actually keeping the Nesbitt name for every gen, which in a way makes this not really a Sims legacy at all, but I felt like the obvious last name for the challenge, Bloom, was too expected, and since I play with so many premades I'm curious to see where the main-line surname goes and who marries in, etc.) 3. Daisy maxed out the botanist career in early adulthood and then joined the Sims Aeronautical Space Agency (SpaceY) as an astrobotanist testing plant life in space. After obtaining a UFO fruit and achieving the gardening collection plaque, she quit to become a florist but by then I was ready to start Gen 2 so didn't really play it (I have the chance later in this legacy challenge though so Daisy's just enjoying being semi-retired now! 4. Neal maxed out the Civil Design career (Eco Branch only), but his great career move was inventing Nesbeets - a plant-based meat substitute grown on a vertical garden wall. The success of Nesbeets put him on the map enough that the Goths and Landgraabs were both aware of his success in business when each family's story became entwined with the Nesbitts. As an elder, he invented Buttercups all-natural pet treats, inspired by his daughter's quest to end her business contracts with greedy conglomerate Landgraab Corp. 5. As Neal and Daisy raised their four children, their favourite vacation spot was Granite Falls. Daisy loved to fish and meditate in the forest, and Neal, a sustainable living hobbyist who outfitted their home in numerous contraptions to save on water and power consumption, maxed the herbalism skill and the Outdoor Enthusiast aspiration.

a while ago you shared your rice onions bell peppers chicken recipe as your go to meal and i made it last night and it was amazing!!! tysm for sharing it. do you have any other chicken recipes that can be made in a wok/kadhai? I don’t have an oven so I was pleasantly surprised to make sth that actually tasted good and not just sth i whip up for sustenance 😅
Yeah for sure. I rarely use the oven when I’m cooking dinner, I do pretty much everything on the stovetop in a wok or frying pan. It's faster and gives me more control.
I think the best thing you can do is learn basic techniques. Once you have the basics down, you don't need a recipe to whip up a quick weekday dinner. You can just cook whatever you feel like cooking, with whatever's in your kitchen: whatever cut of meat, whatever veggies, whatever spices in your pantry.
99% of what I do is just the same basic techniques with different seasoning profiles, veggie sides, and carbs (rice, flatbread, potatoes, noodles).
Here are 4 things to do with chicken in a wok.
Dry Rub + Saute
The easiest and fastest. Simply make a spice mix, massage it into every nook and cranny of the meat (whole or chopped, either way), let it sit for a bit while you get other stuff ready and heat the pan (ideally you'd let it rest in the fridge for a few hours, but it's not necessary), then saute in oil.
The spice mix can be whatever you want (or a premade one, who cares). It's honestly hard to find a combination of random herbs and spices that doesn't taste good. After all, the basis of all cuisine is "doing stuff with whatever we have around," and I've never met a cuisine I didn't like. My go-to spice mix is 1 spoonful brown sugar plus roughly equal parts (1-2 tsp each) paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili or cayenne powder, salt, black pepper, plus 1-2 dried herbs. (Basically Cajun spice mix.)
How to saute (it's one of those things that everyone just assumes you know how to do, but maybe you don't!): First, heat wok over high/medium-high heat. You know the wok is nice and hot when you flick a couple drops of water in there and they instantly evaporate. Then, drizzle in enough oil to give the bottom of the wok a solid unbroken sheen. Swirl the pan so the oil coats the whole bottom. Watch the oil. When the surface is shimmering/trembling (should be very quick if your pan is already hot), it's ready. Carefully add your chopped meat or veggies in a single layer--don't overcrowd the pan, the meat will steam instead of brown. Let the meat sizzle untouched for like 2-3 minutes, then flip to brown the other side. You don't need to constantly stir or toss--that just lengthens your cooking time because the meat isn't touching the pan long enough to brown. That's how you get tough chicken! For chopped chicken, 6-7 minutes of pan-touching is plenty of time to cook through.
Marinate + Saute
Same thing as a dry rub, just wet. There are lots of ways to marinate chicken. The thing to remember is marinade = acid. Acid breaks down proteins, which tenderizes the chicken/meat.
Typical marinade acids: lemon juice, vinegar, soy sauce, buttermilk, yogurt. Simply pick one and build the rest of the marinade around it. If you use something very acidic, like lemon juice or vinegar, you'll want to balance it with fat: roughly equal parts lemon juice and olive oil. For soy sauce, it's really salty, so you'll want to balance it with something sweet: honey, brown sugar (i.e. teriyaki). Buttermilk and yogurt are great bases for a spice mix--think US Southern buttermilk fried chicken, or Indian yogurt marinades.
Once you have a balanced base, you can add whatever herbs and spices you want. Then just make sure all the meat is coated in marinade, cover, and chill in the fridge for a few hours. Then saute as usual (though you might want to use a little bit more oil to avoid bits of marinade sticking and burning).
Curry
Very easy and delicious. There are 1 million kinds of curry. This is just me but I think of it as a spectrum from thin to thick. "Thin" would be like Japanese or Thai style, where the base is primarily broth or stock (sometimes with coconut milk/cream) thickened or flavored with roux or curry paste. "Thick" would be like certain types of Indian curry, like makhani style with the blended tomato-onion base, or yogurt base, or creamy cashew/peanut/etc. base.
The main building blocks are gonna be onion, garlic, ginger. Then spices and other seasonings, obviously depending on what kind of curry you're making: curry powder, garam masala, lemongrass paste, cumin, coriander, cardamom, chili, mustard, cinnamon, cloves, turmeric, etc.
If you are making "thin" style, you might want to make a roux. A roux is just equal parts fat and flour cooked in a pan.
How to make roux: 1/4 cup flour, 1/4 cup butter. Melt butter in pan, add flour, stir constantly over medium-low heat until desired color. Light roux = cook 5 min just until blond/golden, use for white sauces like bechamel. Brown roux = cook until caramel color, use for curries and soups. Dark roux = cook until deep chocolate brown, use for gumbo or jambalaya (mostly for flavor, not thickening).
To make roux for a curry, make a light or brown roux and add curry spices near the end. Let it fry for 1 minute or so to bloom the spices. Remove from pan and set aside to cool.
Another way of thickening curry is to cook chopped or diced onion until softened, then sprinkle on 2-3 Tbsp of flour + whatever spices you're using and stir for 1 minute or so to cook the flour and bloom the spices. Then add liquid.
3 basic curry methods:
Japanese style. Make curry roux. Heat oil in a wok. Add chopped onion and cook until softened. Stir in minced garlic and ginger (or ginger-garlic paste). Add chopped chicken and cook, stirring, until white on the outside. Add 4 cups chicken stock. Add chopped carrots and potatoes. Season with soy sauce, honey, etc. Simmer 15-20 minutes, uncovered, until chicken is cooked and veg is softened. Take 1 ladleful of cooking liquid and whisk into your roux until smooth. Stir that mixture back into your curry. Simmer, stirring, 5-10 minutes until thickened.
Thai style. Heat oil in a wok. Add curry paste or ginger/garlic/lemongrass paste + curry spice mix and fry 1 minute to bloom. Add 2-3 cups stock a little at a time, whisking, to avoid lumps. Add chopped chicken, onion, potato, whatever else you want, plus 1 can coconut milk/cream. Season with fish sauce, tamarind, sugar, etc. Simmer 15-20 minutes, uncovered, until chicken is cooked and veg is softened.
Indian tomato-base style. Marinate chopped chicken in yogurt marinade with curry spices for a few hours. Heat oil in a wok. Add minced garlic and ginger (or ginger-garlic paste) and curry spices. Fry 1 minute to bloom. Add chopped onion (and bell pepper if you want) and stir together. Add 1 x 28oz can tomato puree. Cook, stirring, 5 or so minutes until slightly darkened. Carefully transfer to a blender and blend until smooth. Transfer back to pan. Add 1 can coconut milk/cream or 1ish cups heavy cream. Simmer 30-40 minutes. Meanwhile, in a separate pan, sear chicken on both sides just until browned and caramelized. Add to curry and cook for 10 minutes until cooked through.
All of these are very hard to fuck up, since they're so similar to soup. Pick a style, pick some spices, go for it.
Finally,
Stir Fry
Who doesn't love stir fry, the world's most versatile food. "Stir fry" as a technique is different from "saute" in that it uses a bit more oil and a slightly lower heat, so there's a slightly longer cook time. (And you're stirring more.) For stir fry, you'll want to velvet your chicken to make it super tender and juicy. Otherwise, all you're doing is making a stir fry sauce and then cooking chicken and veggies in stages.
To make a stir fry sauce: The equation is: Water + fat + balance of sweet, salt, spice, sour + thickener. My go-to is like 1/3ish cup water + 1-2 Tbsp sesame oil + brown sugar, soy sauce, hot sauce, lemon juice or rice vinegar + 1 Tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1 Tbsp water to create a cornstarch slurry. Just mix everything together and set aside. Then saute your chicken first, remove from pan. Add your veg to the pan in stages depending on how long they take to cook: first something like broccoli or carrot, cook for a few minutes, then onion and pepper, then minced garlic and ginger at the very end (garlic burns easily). Add your chicken back in, give a stir, pour your sauce in, give it a stir, done.
Good god this got long. Sorry. Work was slow today so what else am I gonna do.
Anyway, hope this helps! These 4 basic things, in combination with the wide world of seasonings, can create infinite easy meals. Let me know if you try anything. Good luck!

Hey! Do you know of any adventures / adventure paths that features and supports non-violent scenes as the majority of the play content?
I've seen games that have so many rules/moves/etc for non violent resolution, but the actual supporting material (like, rooms/locations/characters/their routines/cool information) is very light, so the players have to generate pretty much all of the content themselves.
Theme: Non-Violent Adventures
Hello friend! I’m going to put a disclaimer here and say that I think that it would technically be possible to introduce violence into pretty much everything that I’m suggesting today - if the players really want it. What I’m presenting today are adventures that have the option to be non-violent, and it’s important for the table to be on board if they want to keep it that way. Id recommend setting up a Session 0 with your group to make sure that everyone is able to talk about what they’re excited about, and what they’d rather avoid.

Second Sight Homicide, by Hendrik ten Napel.
They didn't see this coming… Twin clairvoyants put it to the audience: who is the real medium? When only one sister survives the show, this night out turns into a different mystery all-together.
The Sibyl Sisters have a long-running rivalry. Each claims the other sister is a charlatan and not a medium at all. To settle the score, Saige, the youngest, has challenged her sister Prudence to tour the United States with her. Every evening, both will try and contact the spirits of the dead. It's up to the audience to decide which sister is really making contact with the other side.
When the show reaches Brindlewood Bay, the Murder Mavens can't resist. Whether you believe in the afterlife or not, it's bound to get interesting. One of the Mavens even gets invited to the stage, together with a couple of other seemingly random theatergoers. While Prudence is busy summing the spirit of the Maven's deceased loved one, disaster strikes. A brief blackout. A murdered mystic.
Each story arc of Brindlewood Bay presents the characters with a mystery, and a series of clues for them to uncover. Together, the characters will assemble a theory, and then roll to determine whether or not it is correct! This means that planning for the GM is much easier, although the nature of the game does require a good bit of flexibility and improv.
While Brindlewood Bay deals with violent content (murders), the characters themselves, as elderly ladies, are not really expected to get into a fight. This is also a game with a lot of really good support, with adventures like this one made by third parties (like my Copper Shores supplement), but also officially-created supplements like Nephews in Peril, which comes with multiple mysteries, as well as a few new rules for folks who want to shake things up.
The Spring and Sprocket Express, by TTRPGkids.
An all-age focused steampunk themed premade tabletop RPG setting that can be used with any system that you want!  It takes place on a magical train made of a wild variety of train cars that defy time and space!  Make your way from one car to the next to save the train from bots, Dr. Wyverstone, and more!
This is a system-agnostic adventure that puts your characters on a steampunk train and pits them against the (villainous?) Dr.Wyverstone. Because this adventure is aimed towards kids, I would expect there to be plenty of opportunities for characters to find non-violent solutions to the problems presented to them. This game comes with a deck of cards that detail challenges, characters, locations and puzzles, such as tiny robots that steal bits of metal, or a large lever in the middle of the room, with no indication of what exactly it does.
This creator has plenty of train-themed adventures, such as The Midsummer Mischief Express or the Fall Fright Express, but they also have a game called Glyfi Scouts, a game about inter-dimensional scouts, earning patches and learning magical abilites. They’ve also written adventures for this game!
To Rob Death’s Dominion, by Xavid.
It is said that in a golden age long ago we of the world were not yet beset by uncertainty and doubt. The exalted beings who lived in those days knew their own worth, saw their own meaning. For held in the center of the world was the cintamani, a brilliant jewel of red and black and orange. It was the answer to all the sorrows of the world, the key that allowed desire free of suffering. It is the very jewel that proved that existence was worthwhile; in its light was illuminated a virtue and purpose within us each. It was made available to all, there in its temple in its shining city, and the miracle of that age was that none in the world sought to claim it for their own.
To Rob Death's Dominion is an introductory one-shot (one to four sessions in practice) mortal Adventure Fantasy campaign for the Chuubo's Marvelous Wish-Granting Engine RPG by Jenna Moran. Play one of seven variously-queer international criminals from Earth's notorious Breaker One-Nine gang who've come to steal the cintamani, the answer to all the sorrows of the world, from the Headmaster of the Bleak Academy. Or play their dogged recurring antagonist, Inspector Bao! Or play Leonardo de Montreal, the Heartless Researcher, or Jasper Irinka, Death's Daughter, who seem to have gotten swept up in the shenanigans.
Chuubo’s Marvelous Wish-Granting Engine is a diceless ttrpg that focuses on slice-of-life stories. The base game comes with guides to playing very different kinds of genres, from Gothic, to Epic Fantasy, to Pastoral. To Rob Death’s Dominion contains quests and prompts that fit in many of these genres, but provide extra support for Adventure Fantasy in particular.
For Pastoral gaming, you might want to check out Fortitude: by the Docks of Big Lake, while Fortitude: the Legendary 139 is more suited for Immersive or Gothic play.
Gothic Society: Monastery, by Martian Machinery.
The sound of thunder echoes outside the walls of Verges Abbey. You raise your head, the sanctity of matins shattered by the voice of the heavens. You attempt to disregard the unease that echoes in your mind, stilling your thoughts with the recitation of familiar mantras. All is quiet.
The sunrise brings news of the death of the abbot. The refectory is rife with worried looks, and innumerous whispers follow the prior's announcement of the performance of last rites that will be held later in the day. Apparently, he died of unnatural causes.
Gothic Society: Monastery is a setting expansion for Good Society and Gothic Society. Games played in this setting take place entirely in a monastery in the Middle Ages, with the players playing members of a monastic order - monks or nuns.
Good Society is a game all about romance, scandal, and maintaining the proper reputation in polite society, and the supplements created for it, such as Gothic Society, place a lot of similar restrictions but change the setting in some way. This supplement places your characters into a middle-ages type of monastery, and while it’s meant to be horrific, much of the prompts ask you what your characters do after violence has already occurred.
If you want something a bit more goofy, you can also check out Bird Society, which turns all of your Good Society characters into birds, or Drama Society, which is all about the actors and artists in a movie or stage production.
Sister Escape, by KTPie.
In this Blades in the Dark score, a rich noble hires your crew to break out the love of his life out of a convent of the Church of Ecstasy. However the high bounty for what he explains as a "simple breakout" seems to be too good to be true.
In this convent of the Church of Ecstasy you will find hollow servants and sisters alike roaming around the courtyard and participating in both public and private rituals. Should you enter its library of hollowing you might find the convent's Head Mother, Mother Erma, doing her own research on Cleansing rituals.
Blades in the Dark doesn’t necessarily need pre-written scores, but they can certainly be helpful in providing you with a pre-set list of NPCs, obstacles, and set description. This is one such example.
Because this is set in a grim, Victorian-era, ghost-ridden steampunk city, I can’t guarantee that these will be non-violent, because the methods involved are up to your table more than anything else. If your players want to focus on infiltration and deception, then they’ll likely choose methods that are more focused on stealth and subterfuge. If you as the game runner want to keep the game non-violent, then you’ll also want to make sure you’re introducing threats that can be dealt with in non-violent ways. If you feel like this is the setting for you, then I’d also recommend checking out the Hour of Chains collection of unofficial scores by A Couple of Drakes: you’ll get a lot of really interesting, diverse scores to play with for any motley crew of criminals.

This is so interesting and worth the watch!
As a mostly wants-based player, I have come across some of these issues while playing premades, and even in my own custom hoods where sims are a bit more "original".
Here are some things I've started doing to spice up my gameplay and still have a more or less wants-based play style.
Aspirations are not based on my Sims' zodiacs. I assign aspirations based on personality, which includes 3t2 traits, as well as the general vibe of the Sim. This means shy sims may end up with the Romance Aspiration, and playful sims may still be Knowledge. I also only assign secondary aspirations when my sims have lived through part of their adulthood (with my aging system, this happens when they hit 30 years old). This means they will have some life experience under their belt and their secondary aspiration usually reflects that.
My ACR is tuned waaaay down. I might make cheating a bit more likely when I hit gen 2 and have more Sims in my 'hood to cause chaos with, but at the moment I keep my couples pretty faithful, just so that I don't end up with a lot of cousins and half-siblings. I don't want everyone to be related by gen 3.
Allow yourself wiggle room for a lot of storytelling! I make sure my Sims (those I made in CAS) have backstories, motivations, goals, that don't have anything to do with their in-game wants. Giving them more in-depth personalities means I can decide which wants feel more realistic for them and will make them feel more unique. It also helps me decide which romantic partners to give them, which friend group, which jobs, etc.
This is a big one!! Use the chemistry system to your advantage! Not all couples are a match, so have your Sims date one-bolters, or try to flirt with someone they DON'T have chemistry with! Do this with teens who are still figuring out romance and what they want out of a relationship!! It'll make it more fun, and it might mean they won't find their special someone until later in life if they keep running into all of the incompatible sims. You may also realize one-bolt relationships are nice too. Not all couples are super physical all the time, and that's okay. You can also use this for cheating Sims. If my sim has more chemistry with a sim that's not their partner, I may be more inclined to have them cheat.
Use a Random Occurrence Scenario generator! But don't feel obligated to actually go through with it if it'll ruin your storyline or make you not want to play! If you're bored of a family, it may be a good way to spice up the gameplay and come up with new and exciting storylines. I did make my own ROS a while back and you can use it here. The really bad/tragic scenarios are less likely to pop up as the more "tame" options. You can also google Sims 2 ROS and find popular ones that other simmers use.
Use the hobby system! If you know your sim's OTH, try to incorporate it into gameplay. Personally, I rarely ever get wants related to my Sims' hobbies so I have to nudge them in the right direction. Give them items that can help develop their enthusiasm, have them go to community lots where they can meet like-minded Sims, etc. This can lead to some pretty fun gameplay and help make your Sims feel more unique.
I really hope this helps someone with their game! If you haven't checked out baddymaddy's video, I highly suggest you give it a look and a like!
Happy simming! 💚

You probably already did the three random facts, but what are your three favorite breakfast foods and one random hc for your current fav ship
Oh!! Three favorite breakfast foods, that’s a good one!!
Gotta say eggs on guacamole toast (gluten free) is one of them (I think it was originally supposed to be plain avocado toast the way my sister showed me to do it, but alas, I decided to be quick about it and use premade guacamole instead)
Miso soup is a breakfast, right? … I like having Miso soup for breakfast 😂😂
And uhhhh at the moment? Cap’n Crunch, like I’m eating Cap’n Crunch straight out of the box, no milk, by the handful until I am full. Real gremlin vibes (positive) right there
As for a headcanon, I will give you a tendies one… I like to think they run one-on-one TTRPG campaigns together post-canon, where Ryou DMs and simultaneously plays a character with Yami B and Yami B uses that character in addition to his to fight in encounters, because I saw a member of a couple on reddit talk about doing that ages ago and the thought of it felt very tendies <3
Thanks for the ask hehe!! <33

I am inspired by nowhereville to start my own!! Is there a set of rules you're following? TYSM
Hi, thanks! I’m loosely following these rules by Didily. But the whole round 0 thing I did for my bacc is cause I wanted to create random couples for my town instead of premade couples. :)

So a couple weeks ago, I got distracted from my assorted historic sims 2 hoods projects in favor of my Just Play the Game downloads folder, a collection of stuff I accumulated over time without fancy aging systems and traits and the like. Just classic mode with lots of CC. I got excited and downloaded a good handful of new sets and installed them.
Now my game keeps crashing utterly at random—sometimes shortly after starting to play a lot (as in a few game hours), sometimes a few (game) days in. One time it ALWAYS crashed when I took Morty Roth to a community lot to fish. So now I’m forced to do a lot of the clean-up work this downloads folder is supposed to avoid requiring.
-I keep running various scanners (DDO, SimPe GUID check, Clean Installer, Hood Checker, HCDU+), and nothing leaps out as a problem, particularly not anything newly added. I am constantly removing duplicate items, but it doesn’t seem to make much difference.
-I’m hesitant to run a 50/50 check because the crashing is very random. Sometimes I play a household for a full season and it’s fine, other times it crashes for no discernible reason. I have deleted a lot of objects so I doubt it’s my object mesh limit. It happens during gameplay, not in the catalog so it’s probably not a GUID conflict of some sort, although I could be wrong. I don’t THINK it’s all the new modern sets I downloaded, because that’s all furniture and a couple outfits—nothing mod or hack-y. I did download the LS bundle and some patches for it.
-My gut insists it’s a townie with bad CC trying to walk by, but I don’t have the faintest idea how to test for that or fix it. Maybe I could do a test lot and teleport in each townie looking for a crash, but if that works how do I find what item on them caused the crash?
-I did just discover and remove an unwanted default replacement amongst some X-Men characters I installed in this game—the last batch of CC I installed before this batch. So it might just be that, whatever it was? I don’t know yet. The only test is to try playing again, and I have to wait until after work tomorrow for that.
-the log always just gives me “access violation”. I did double check that the 4gb patch is still applied, and I believe it is, and I checked that the texture memory looked okay in GRM. It seems more like a CC problem than a game/hardware problem, although it COULD be the game running out of memory. Seems unlikely as I am not getting pink flashing, just the crash, but it could be.
-one thing I did in the cleaning process that could have been problematic was delete my Sun&Moon collection, deeming it Not Right for this particular setup. I don’t think I had touched it in this game.
-Now I am having the urge to start a new, clean Uberhood with all my nice new CC, except the one I started setting up has the same old copy of my main modern downloads folder, so it’s likely to be experiencing the same problems. Unless it truly is the X-Men content that’s the problem lol.
(I want to have Simlogical schools in districts, limit careers based on local buildings, use supernatural lifestates and 1 day = 1 year aging, follow most of the premade relationships instead of wasting time hunting for the perfect match for everybody, include the downtownie Tricou teens, and mix up the method for choosing a college—base it on expense rather than location as I have been doing).
But I would also very much like for my Just Play downloads folder to be ready to just play again and complete a round. I’ve had bad luck with Uber/megahoods even though I love them, I would like to get one off the ground. My last new one used Proportionate Aging and also featured a bugged taxi driver showing up as a walkby and forcing the game to speed 1 until I teleported him away, something that is probably fixable but not with my limited abilities. I just want to play the game.

random tf one bumblebee cuddles
Hey chat, I saw TF One and immediately fell in love with Bumblebee (again) so I wrote some sfw, spoiler free cuddles. Tried to make it as gender neutral as possible. Hope you enjoy
--------------
It was a long day. A long day. Exhausted and defeated a human made it home, with nothing but what little was left of their confidence and a desire to sleep for the next three days. Work just does that. Drains the soul out of you.
Fortunately the human wasn’t alone. They had their chatty bot waiting for them in their garage, eager to talk about the day and whatever they had experienced. As soon as the garage door opened Bee perked up, a smile coming to his face.
“Heyyy, ember! How’d things go today?” he asked, crouched down since he was too tall to stand up fully.
All he earned back was a dismissive hand wave from the much smaller human. Bee frowned and sat down instead, legs crossed and head tilted. “That great huh? Man you look exhausted-” he said while looming over them. The human hummed in response. “I am,” they muttered while moving to walk past him.
“Well- Hey, wait,” Bee started, gently reaching out to stop them. “Wanna talk about it? I know I talk alot but I can listen too!” He chuckled quietly and patted his thigh. “We can get you some pillows and blankets and make it extra comfy in here.”
The human let out a quiet sigh as they glanced around. A night in the garage didn’t sound too bad, especially if it was with Bee. “Sure- Yeah, let me get all cleaned up and bring out some soft stuff.”
Bee nodded and straightened his posture as he watched his human leave. That smile never left his face. That little human made his spark burn brighter than anything.
The bot waited, digits tapping the concrete ground as he sat, optics flicking around what was, at this point, his home. Shared with his little human friend. Something between platonic and an odd romantic feeling. He didn’t know how to describe it. They liked having him around and he loved the attention.
“Hey- You’re back!” he chirped when his human entered the dimly lit garage again, dressed in their night clothes and carrying a couple blankets and pillows with them. It was a bit of routine now to bring some soft stuff and set up a cot when the human ended up falling asleep with him.
Bee got himself situated, leaning against the wall and crossing his legs again to leave a sort of premade nest for his human. “Come on, ember, get comfy,” he whispered as he helped them place their blankets for optimal comfort.
Once the two were settled he let out a soft sigh, mindful of his size compared to them. He felt a sort of fluttery feeling on his chest when he looked down, seeing the human curled up slightly in his lap, head rested against his chest with a pillow to add even more comfort. “Oh- Ember..” he whispered with a soft laugh, resting a hand on their lower back. “Ok, so.. Let’s chat. How was your day?”
The human muttered a response, hands pulled to their chest as they pressed their cheek against their pillow. “Long. Tiring.. Work is just kicking my ass. Oh and the coworkers,” they rambled, voice quiet and low. They really did sound tired. “I just need a little rest.”
“And food, yeah?” Bee asked, digits gently rubbing patterns against their back.
The human shook their head. “Not right now. Right now I just wanna rest,” they whispered, to which Bee nodded in understanding. “I get that.. Well, hey, you can sleep with me! Unless that isn’t comfortable- You know I can get the cot.”
The human chuckled and shook their head again. “No, I’m fine like this. I’m just gonna rest my eyes.. And then get to work cleaning.. And then I gotta go back to work.”
“Ember please- Just uh.. Don’t worry about that right now. Cleaning can wait. Work can definitely be put on the back burner right now,” Bee started, his voice rumbling in his chest. The human sighed and attempted to wrap their arms around him in a very tired and awkward hug. Bee stuttered and stopped speaking, for the moment. “Just.. Stay here. With me.. For a little while, ok?” he asked, continuing his gentle motions, everything very careful and tender. “You and I can just relax here, and block out the world just for a little while. I know we can’t put off reality for too long-”
“But we can leave it for a little while,” the human mumbled, voice shaking as they stifled a yawn.
“Aww, that was a cute little yawn,” Bee said with a laugh. “Come on- Rest then. You know nothing is gonna get past me. Maybe-”
“Well, I had faith in you until just then,” the human joked, a soft laugh escaping them as well.
“Ah, you know me. I won’t let anything happen to you,” Bee cooed, shifting beneath them a bit so they could be more comfortable and in a less awkward position. “Rest, ember. You work way too hard.”
“Fine.. Fine, I’ll rest,” the human sighed, eyes fluttering closed as they got curled up and cozy. “I feel like I wanna sleep for days..”
“Well, then, sleep for days,” Bee said as he rested his arms above his head while the human rested in their nest built from his legs. “I might talk to myself while you sleep though. Just let me know- I’ll shut up. Or if you just can’t get enough of me I can keep talking, maybe the sound of my voice will lure you into sleep huh?” He snickered, glancing down at them to realize they were already half asleep. “Oh damn- Guess it worked.”
He remained silent for a moment before moving a hand down to tuck their blanket closer to their body. He felt that fluttery feeling again and sighed to himself. “Good night, ember.”
