I'll obliterate all in my path,
My sanity will crumble as an aftermath,
If any harm comes your way,
I'll set the world ablaze.

unfortunately i have seen pretty much all of animal through the reels on my instagram explore page so i have one thing to say - STOP. GLORIFYING. CHEATING. i do not give a flying FUCK that you don’t like rashmika mandanna, or that tripti dimri and ranbir kapoor have “better chemistry,” i really don’t. fact of the matter is vijay (ranbir) abused geetanjali (rashmika) and cheated on her with zoya (tripti), and instead of portraying it like the toxic act that it is, sandeep reddy vanga once again chose to glamorize and romanticize that toxicity under the umbrella of “sab kuch papa ke liye kiya, this is what true love is.” believe or not, NO, you actually DON’T have to hurt someone to show that you love them. and of course the movie takes no time in making things worse when vijay says that if he leaves, geetanjali isn’t allowed to remarry, or when she asks him how he’d feel if she cheated and asked for forgiveness to which he angrily responds that it’s unacceptable, as if he has any sort of standing to hand out those kinds of orders after the shit he pulled 🙄
this reeks of double standards and a lack of accountability and it reminds me of something kangana ranaut said in an interview way back when (back at a time when she actually made sense oop) about how there’s nothing wrong with exploring dark subjects in cinema, but the condition is that they have to be portrayed authentically and that means showing the consequences of those actions as well. in real life there are consequences to cheating, consequences to domestic violence, consequences to a lack of self control and anger issues. and if you make the choice to explore these sensitive topics you have taken on the social responsibility to show it as is. you cannot glorify it. cinema is a highly powerful and influential form of media, especially in india, a country where actors and films are worshipped like a religion, and it’s truly beyond me how sandeep reddy vanga has deluded himself and his audience into thinking that he doesn’t have that responsibility at all. then again what else can i expect from a director who thinks that love isn’t real if there’s no violence and you can’t “slap your woman or touch your woman whenever you want” 🤡

yes please do. in harry our motherly whore's words : "SCREAM IT!" all the gays hate ranbir kapoor bachna ae haseeno was actually his biopic he's so entitled and a pretend feminist going around 'rescuing' his female costars from intrusive questions they could've handled perfectly well on their own madarchod dating a girl a decade and a year younger than him thinking he's got the incomparable of the season i would seek him and roast his kebab
ok hello. tu na meri love-hate wali soulamte hai. OKAY FIRST OF ALL YES TO ALL YOUR COMMENTS ABOUT BACHNA AE HASEENO. and ALSO yes to ALIA BEHEN KYA KAR RAHI HAI TU APNI LIFE KE SAATH?!?!?!
and then no. why i say he's a completely shit actor and a shit person. is because. BENCHOD WOH SIRF EK ROLE KARTA HAI. PURI LIFE SIRF EK ROLE KIYA HAI. thike.
1. pehle usse ladki pasand aati hai
2. phir ladki ki feelings ke saath khilwad karta hai
3. phir ladki usko like karti hai
4. phir WOH KOI NA KOI CHUTIYPA KARTA HAI
5. phir this part is my favourite. ladkiyan usko gaaliyaan nikal ti hai
6. lastly benchod roke dikha deta hai - also itne time ke baad bhi dhangse rona nahi aata
7. magically ladki wapis aa jati hai uske paas.
and this you can apply to ANY FUCKING MOVIE OF HIS. works on YJHD. works on bachna ae haseeno. works on anjaana anjaani. works on tamasha. works on rockstar. works on ae dil hai mushkil technically. works on ajab prem ki gazab kahani. EVERYTHING.
BUT SAME GHISA PITA ROLE KARTA HAI. itni si bhi acting abilities nahi hai. and girls call him cute. like beheno mujhe pata hai ki cishet men ke standards pehle se hi low hai par kyu kachre di dibbe mein se chun rahi ho. like please incinerate his entire career. if it can even be called that. everytime i see his face. mujhe na andhar se kuch kuch hota hai. aur mann karta hai ki table utha kar maru usko.
firstly all his characters and he himself is misogynistic. like everytime he likes a girl insult zyada aur compliment kam deta hai. and then they sell them to young girls as 'rom-coms' like please. i'll give you a better list of romcoms that don't show men manipulating women with their so-called tears to get them back. he lies and cheats and then barely apologizes and then just cries and gets the girl back. what the fuck. what even yaar. kahey ka feminist.
ok i'm done for now. mere andar ki bhadaas nikal gayi abhi ke liye. (also if you think kuch zyada bol diya toh post mat karna)
ok bye i love you!!
VDHKSADKJASBD okay so to read THIS after THAT is such a shift in dynamic i'm reeling.
and obviously it goes without saying bande ko acting nahi aati. like kuch bhi. all his characters have been either your stupid charming soft chocolate boy or oh no wait that's it. even in fucking barfi he got all the awards and credits over priyanka's chummeshwari performance and for what? ardh nangna naachne keliye???? woh harry bhi karta hai uske awards kahan hai??????
you're right you're SO right all his characters have been bland, lame and monotonous. always proving deepika was wisest in chosing ranvir with a v for verstality and not ranbir with a b for boring/bland/bakwaas/begairat/bachkand/bhangaar/behenchod you choose.
also "and girls call him cute. like beheno mujhe pata hai ki cishet men ke standards pehle se hi low hai par kyu kachre di dibbe mein se chun rahi ho." had me laughing me guts off because again SO RIGHT. he's like sordidly overrated and it's all superficial about him usko dekh ke neend aati hai bhai isko kis hisaab se human rights aur scripts milte hain. pk mein alien banake toh saare his suspicions sach kardiye. but phir nanga naachega saala phir pagal honge sab

Bollywood Movies Part CLXXI

The Radcliffe Line, the separation between the future India and Pakistan, is drawn through a brothel between the towns of Shakargarh and Dorangla. Begum Jaan (Vidya Balan) refuses to leave the brothel, causing trouble for the government ministers setting up the border, Ilias Khan (Rajit Kapoor) and Hari Prasad (Ashish Vidyarthi).
TW: Rape, Animal Cruelty/Murder, Abuse. Begum Jaan has good acting in parts, but little else. The story is drawn out and very little about it is palatable. Everything is over staged. It feels like it’s just made to show how “strong” women are by shoving a bunch of horrible things together and then having them all die at the end for something that doesn’t make much sense in context. It is also not entertaining at all. This is a pretty good review that goes more in depth. Favorite song is Holi Khelein (no subtitles).

In Shankar Ghat, Malayali Brahmin Pattabhiraman Giri (Indrajith Sukumaran) is a respected member of the community. When Godman Mahashay Bhagavan (Murali Gopy) comes to town, he tries to make Giri leave his house through legal and illegal means. Giri fights to keep his home and find out the truth about the shady Mahashay Bhagavan.
TW: offscreen rape. Tiyaan is a good movie, even when it veers into the supernatural, as it stays much as it begins: a story about good fighting corruption. Murali Gopy, aside from admirably portraying the villainous Mahashay Bhagavan, wrote the screenplay and did quite a good job. Indrajith is the star of this film in his understated and believable performance as Giri. Prithviraj Sukumaran is also good as Giri’s ally Azlan Mohammed. Favorite songs are Bham Bham Shiv Bole and Nethi Nethi. Neither song has subtitles.

Jagga (Ranbir Kapoor) teams up with accident prone reporter Shruti (Katrina Kaif) to find his adoptive father Tutti Futti (Saswata Chatterjee) who has gone missing abroad.
Jagga Jasoos is a fun detective musical that drags on too long and feels a bit disjointed. The framing is a bit odd, with Shruti presenting the story as a series of comic books à la Tintin. The cinematography is good, as are the silly bits. I wish they had actually had Ranbir Kapoor singing his lines, instead of occasionally rapping them and having a playback singer doing most of the singing. Saswata Chatterjee was the best actor in the film, and I wish he had a bigger part. Favorite songs are Khaana Khaake and Ullu Ka Pattha. Neither song has subtitles.
