could you please do a BoRhap request? Where she looks after the guys during recording since her family owns Rockfield Farm and they love her cooking? But the guys (minus Fred who has Mary) all fancy her too?
❤️
SOMEBODY TO LOVE

Tumblr media Tumblr media
a knock came to your door as you finished up breakfast
you left the kitchen and went to the front door
you opened the door to see a blonde with long hair with sunglasses on
he was wearing dark, slightly flared jeans, a yellow v neck shirt underneath a greeny grey jacket with fur
behind him was a short haired brunette with a mustache
he pushed the blonde out of the way and held out his hand
"hi, I'm paul, this is Roger, From Queen" he introduced
of course you knew Queen was coming to your family's farm, it wasn't like you didn't know who they were and wouldn't let them in, it's just that you felt Rogers gaze planted on you and it made you feel a little nervous
"you're not" Roger scoffed quietly
"yes, of course, come in, are the rest here too?" you asked, stepping out of the way to let them in
"they're sorting out their luggage" Roger answered, taking off his glasses
"well, I made breakfast..if you're hungry?" you smiled tightly
"depends what you're serving" Roger smirked and looked you up and down
"pancakes" you responded quickly
"yeah, I could eat"
he followed you to the kitchen and he took a seat, shovelling food onto the plate in front of him and started eating
a few minutes later Roger had finished his plate and went back for seconds
"ah there you are Freddie" Paul spoke up, noticing the other three band members by the door
"we're also here mate" the tall, long curly haired brunette said, seeming annoyed by Paul's presence
"should I show you boys to your rooms?" you wondered, breaking the silence that filled the room
The three boys standing at the door all turned to you
"didn't know the farm came with a pretty lady" the curly Brunette smiled
"oh I'm Y/n. this is my Family's Farm. I live in the building beside this one, I'm just here to show you around"
"are those pancakes for us?" the auburn haired one said
"oh, yes! you can have as many as you want" you pointed to the mountain of pancakes you had made on the counter
"they are delicious" Roger said with a mouthful of food
"well I'm Brian, This is Fred and John and I see you've already met Rog"
"it's a pleasure to meet you guys"
"pleasure's all ours darling" Freddie beamed
"well I'll show you your rooms then" you said taking off your apron and leading them upstairs
"it's probably not what you're used to but your manager said it was perfect to get away from distractions so" you shrugged
you turned to face the boys and see Roger first
"you're in here. mister Taylor" you looked to the first door
"right" he grunted, walking into the room with his heavy luggage
"and that's yours, Mister Mercury" you pointed to the room in the corner to the left
"thank you darling"
"Mister May, yours is right here" pointing to the right side next to the bathroom
Brian walked into the room and you noticed John still standing on the top of the stairs
"oh, sorry. mister Deacon, you're downstairs" he walks back down the stairs and you lead him down to the room.
"I know it's small but it doesn't get nearly as cold as the other rooms" you informed him
"okay..." he frowns as he steps down
"well I'll let you get settled then, i'll show you and the band around when you're ready" you smiled, starting to go up the stairs
"are there still pancakes?" he asked, putting his luggage down on the bed
"oh yeah, they'd probably still be warm too" you answered
he soon started following you up the stairs to the kitchen to find all the other members of the band eating the pancakes
"Rog really didn't lie, these pancakes are delicious" Brian hummed
"we need more syrup" Roger lifted up the empty bottle of maple syrup
"oh..ok" you walked over to the fridge as John took a seat and started eating the food
"here you go" you grinned, putting the syrup on the table in front of them
-
it's been a few days since they've arrived and much to your surprise, you've seen more of them then you expected
you didn't think you would see much of them, you thought thy would be very busy and you didn't have a problem with that
but Roger, Brian and John all seemed to want you around them
Roger would casually flirt with you
Brian would always start up a conversation or make you help with with a lyric
and John would subtly make eye contact and smile before coming up to you to ask for suggestions
and they would all ask if you could cook them up something when they got hungry and said they liked your cooking, so much so that there would be barely any left for Freddie or you.
Roger was currently helping you make breakfast while Brian and John sat and ate while they discussed songs
"i put my heart and soul into this song" Roger spoke up as they talked about his new song he made
"no one is disputing that" John smiled, lifting up his fork
"and you don't like it because you want your songs on the album" Roger fought
"it's not that Roger" John denied
"then what is it?" the blonde raised his eyebrows as he stopped cutting bread
"I'm in love with my car?" Brian spoke up
you fought back a laugh at the thought of the song
Brian and John both made a questionable face as silence filled the air
"maybe it's not strong enough?" Brian suggested
"what does that even mean 'not strong enough'?" Roger frowned
"I know I'm late. What did I miss?" Freddie came in and poured himself some tea
John straightened his back and looked at the singer "discussing Roger's car song"
"is it strong enough, that's all I'm asking. If I'm on my own here, then i apologise" Brian put his hands up defensively
"how does your new song go, then, hm?" Roger walked over and grabbed Brians lyrics
"you call me sweet.. like I'm some kind of cheese" the drummer read out
you stifled a laugh as you cooked bacon
"it's good" Brian defended, looking at the John who was eating a sausage with a smile and Freddie who was stirring his tea
"wow" Roger sighed sarcastically
"is that-, is that you know- when my hand's on your grease gun..That's very subtle isn't it?" Brian read Rogers back
"it's a metaphor, Brian" Roger argued
"it's just a bit weird Roger, what exactly are you doing with that car?" John spoke, waving his fork around
"what do you think, Y/n?" Roger turned to you, looking for backup
you put the now cooked bacon on a plate and turned to the boys
"don't turn to me, I'm not getting involved" you shook your head
"children please, we could all murder each other but then who would be left to record this album?" Freddie butted in
"statistically speaking, most bands don't fail, they break up" John stated mater-of-a-factly
"why the hell would you say something like that?" Freddie frowned
John shrugged and Freddie turned back to the Blonde
"Roger, there's only room in this band for one hysterical queen" Freddie informed the drummer before walking out
"you know why you're angry, Roger?" Brian began again
"...why?" Roger breathed out
"'cause you know you're song isn't strong enough" the curly headed man repeated
"boys I really don't think you should be-" you started to say but cut off by Roger throwing bacon at Brian's face
"is that strong enough?" Roger questioned
"ok" you mumbled, looking at John, who smiled at you amusingly
Roger pushed off plates and glasses off the table angrily
"what about that?!" he asked before going over to find something else
"Hey!" you yelled at Roger, who grabbed a pot of Coffee
he turned and began to swing it at the two boys before he stopped as they put their hands up
"Not the coffee machine!?" they both yelled
Roger put the coffee machine down and you sighed looking at the mess
"I'll clean this up" he sighed after a moment of silence
"you sure are" you nodded sternly
-
you sat in the recording room on the couch with John and Roger as Brian got ready to record his guitar
Roger slung his arm around your shoulder as Brian got set up
"so..how about we go get dinner later" he suggested
"pardon?" you wondered
"you, me, i'll take you out to dinner" he repeated
"I highly doubt she'll want to go out with you, Roger, she's too good for you" John sighed
"and what? you're better?" the drummer scoffed, looking over you to the auburn headed bassist
John stared at Roger for a moment
"how's katie? last time we saw her was right before we left to come here" the Deacon wondered
"shut it mate" Roger groaned
your thoughts were cut short as Brian started playing
you focused on the music but felt John's gaze on you, you slowly turned your head to see him staring at you, smiling
"so, do you have a boyfriend?" Roger asked
"I don't see how that's any of your business" you crossed your arms, looking back at Brian, who's still playing his solo
"what if I want to ask you out?" he shrugged
"how come you're the one that gets to ask her out?" John leans forward to argue with Roger
"because I can" the Taylor boy smirked
"Roger, do you have to be such a man whore?" John questioned, his accent become more defined and thick
"I think you're just jealous you don't get women chasing after you" Roger huffed, leaning back on the couch, seeming to be not fazed
"ah yes, because all i need is women to make me feel better about myself, all i need and want is women around me to fill a void of unfulfillment" John rolled his eyes
"oh yeah? let's see who she wants more then" Roger raises his eyebrows as he took off his glasses to look at you
John frowned "you can't pressure her into choosing either of us...that's not how relationships work, Roger"
Roger stifled a laugh "who said I wanted a relationship"
"my point exactly"
"all i'm saying" is that she's probably looking for somebody to love and i'm right here" Roger raised his hands in defense
"what makes you think she wants someone?" John glared
"children, children. leave the poor girl alone, she doesn't want either of you" Freddie butted in
you found yourself wondering how it came to this, two members of the band Queen almost practically fighting for your, to be with you
it made sense about Roger, seeing all of those tabloids of him with new girls around his shoulder almost every week
but John? he didn't really seem the type
you tuned out of the argument and soon wondered when Brian came back into the room as you looked up to find him sitting with Freddie
"I think whatever happens, it's up to her, you shouldn't be trying to force something she does not want" John fought
"what are you guys fighting about?"
"who gets to take this beautiful lady out" Roger smirked, nodding towards you
"who says either of you get to?" Brian spoke in a confused manner
"oh don't tell me you want her too?" Roger groaned
"what's so wrong about that?" the guitarist questioned
"I'm gonna go" you sighed, getting up
"are you still going to make us pasta tonight?" John perked up
you chuckled "I think you all need a break from my cooking"
"NO!!"

you're so golden 🫶
pairing : f1 grid x fem!russell!reader
summary : it's the golden globes and kailani russell, sister of f1 driver george russell, the actress who plays the secret daughter of freddie mercury, ophelia mercury, is not only nominated but maybe also wins the award she is nominated for?
warnings : none really
a/n : kailani russell, this original female character is the sister of george russell who is obviously, an f1 mercedes driver. in this version, there will be ophelia mercury who is freddie's secret daughter, hence why they asked a british actress to play her. but also because everyone has always said that kailani doesn't look like her family but like lucy boynton who plays mary austin in the movie. i will also maybe have her dating one of the drivers so it makes even more sense for some of the grid to be at the golden globes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you're so golden, you're so golden, la la, la la
kailani smiled and cheered as she sat in her seat at the annual golden globe awards 2019 alongside her brother, f1 driver george russell and fellow bohemian rhapsody cast, crew and queen members roger taylor and sir brian may. kailani had been nominated for best actress - motion picture for her portrayal as freddie mercury's secret daughter, ophelia mercury. in the biopic "bohemian rhapsody" that follows the highs and lows of queen and their exuerbrant lead singer, freddie mercury. sat next to her brother, george, was lucy boynton who played mary austin in the movie, the siblings held hands whilst allen leech, another cast member of the movie (paul prenter), sat on the other side of kailani whilst rami malek (freddie mercury) sat in the row in front of them alongside gwilym lee (sir brian may) and joseph mazzello (john deacon).
throughout the entire night, she was constantly being complimented on the outfit that she was wearing. in all honesty, she did somewhat enjoy the compliments but, it was only because of one thing. she felt ethereal in the dress and it truly distracted her from the anxieties that award shows normally gave her before recieving all of the crazy nominations ever since award season started. otherwise, if it didn't distract her, kailani would be a lot less accepting of the compliments and would try either straight ignoring them or swerving around them and throwing it back to the giver of the compliment. onto the dress, kailani was wearing a gold dress which was a sequined bandage bandeau, fitting her in tight like a corset. truthfully, kailani felt like a goddess and it only made sense that her stylists put her in a gold dress for the golden globes.
💌
when it came to actually paying attention to the award show that was happening in front of her, kailani genuinely found it difficult because it was getting closer and closer to her category and it just made her zone out. because every time during this award season, she's wanted to protect her mind and her soul since this was the first time that she was ever being acknowledged because just like a couple others in her bohemian rhapsody cast, she had been doing this job since she was a kid. exactly like how her brother, george, had been in motorsport his whole life. however never once was she acknowledged or given her rightful praise for her wonderful talent until now after portraying the role of ophelia mercury, a women who was rumoured for many years to be freddie mercury's secret child.
so, as she sat next to her brother, george and her other costar, allen leech who played the horrid paul prenter with her onscreen parents lucy and rami in the row in front of them, they all sat in wait. applause and awards were coming and going when gary oldman took the microphone to present kailani's category. instantly, she tensed up in fear, zoning out but keeping a soft smile look on her face as the overhead commentator announced the nominations as scenes of the movies played as well. george wrapping his arms around kailani whilst allen held her free hand and lucy and rami became contortionists as they twisted their arms behind them just so they could also comfort kailani as well. the other f1 racers that kailani had invited scattered elsewhere around the room.
"...the nominations are..."
"...for bohemian rhapsody, kailani russell," everyone cheers as a small smile and chuckle leaves the zoned out kailani's mouth as she notices the camera really relising in her disassociation but doesn't acknowledge it as she applauds when she hears the scene in which her character, ophelia mercury accidentally finds out about her father freddie's aids diagnosis
ophelia halts to a stop, this wasn't a conversation she wasn't supposed to run into, it was obvious, but, she couldn't help but feel curious. even then, it wasn't her fault, she was returning to the recording studio with some lunch for her dad freddie and her uncles, roger, john and brian when she heard the news. and before she could get herself out of the room or stop, she heard the very words that did it for her whilst she reached the middle of the room...
"...aids...i wanted you to hear it from me..."
ophelia only heard the "aids" part and everything else just became white noise as she dropped everything she had in her hands and slowly dropped to the floor. her legs going first as they folded underneath her and then her hands as they only just grazed the floor underneath her as tears streamed down her cheeks as her body hunched over itself. that was when freddie, john, roger and brian along with miami turned around, noticing that ophelia, seventeen-year-old ophelia mercury had accidentally walked into a conversation about her father's health that she shouldn't have. but did and now was traumatised over the fact that her father, who she had just found out about, was now getting a death sentence when he was still so young.
"...dad, please don't say it's true! you...you never get sick...you...you..." ophelia tried to talk but she couldn't, her body rocked with sobs as immediately, roger, her favourite uncle, raced down to her and held her as she wailed as though she was a dying animal
freddie sighed, kneeling in front of his daughter, he smiled softly, "...i'm sorry bunny but, it's true. but, i don't want you to be crying okay? i want to do what i was born to do with the time i have left. i'm freddie fucking mercury!" freddie smiled as ophelia chuckled wetly, her hand coming under her nose and wiping it as she lifted her head and nodded
however, what came out of her mouth after was the most gut-wrenching, stomach-ripping thing as she sobbed softly, roger, john and brian huddling around her to comfort her.
"but you're my dad..."
everyong erupted into roars of applause as kailani's scene finished playing before gary stepped up to the microphone to announce the winner of the category's golden globe. but, one thing everyone seemed to be set on and shocked by was that scene that they had just watched. it was acted with pure brillance yet it was so nuanced at the same time and so understated that kailani played grief so well. and, it was that moment that everyone knew that the name that gary was about to read out was for sure kailani's, it had to be at this point.
gary smiled brightly, nodding his head before speaking up into the microphone, "...and the golden globe goes to..."
"...kailani russell, bohemian rhapsody..." gary oldman cheers, the older actor previously acting with the girl in a previous project when she was much younger, her brother and the rest of her bo-rhap cast doing the same thing whilst the room filled with loud applause as george and allen violently shook the girl out of her disassociation
for a split moment, the poor girl seemed so confused as to why she was being pulled from side to side by her brother and co-star. but, once she saw gary motioning her to come to the stage since she, george and the bo-rhap cast were basically two rows from the front, she noticed the camera was on her and her cast mates hysterically celebrating up on the screen behind them and she realised. she had just won the golden globe for best actress - motion picture and she had to quickly think up of something to say as she scrambled to get up from her seat.
after all the hugs from her brother, co-stars and an almost makeout session with lando norris? george was for sure going to question that later but not now, kailani finally made it to the stage. shaking her head at her former movie dad, she was pulled into a hug by gary as he congratulated her. grabbing the award from him and then another set of cheek and forehead kisses, she attempted to start her speech.
"wooow. i mean, lord have mercy! i am honestly so grateful for this!" she struggled to find her footing let alone her proper breathing pattern as she giggled - proud that she didn't blurt out a swear word like she genuinely thought she would have in this situation
she giggled before she stared at the award in her hand and continued, "this award is something special. when i was a kid, i was always winning things, have no idea why because i was doing so much that i couldn't just focus on one thing. but, i was always winning first in dance, gymnastics, netball, athletics, i was always getting gold, even in the odd karting competitions alongside george *giggles*. and every time i had to say something, kind of like i am right now, i'd be so overwhelmed and confused that i'd just start to hysterically laugh because i never knew what to say. and that...that's kind of how i feel right now that i'm truthfully surprised i didn't swear or that i'm not hysterically laughing right now..." kailani trailed off as she became emotional as she smiled softly, biting her lip
"...i've been in this business since i was maybe around eight or nine. my first movie was with this man right next to me, mr gary oldman, and i remember feeling so excited when i was told that if our movie did well enough and if i did a good enough job, i'd be able to dress up and go do the award circut. however, by the time award season came around, we didn't even get one single nomination except for a golden globe nomination and it was for the movie as a whole but we didn't end up winning. and all of a sudden, there was no more award shows for us to attend since that was the only one we got nominated for. our cast not getting invited to any other award ceremony. but, i didn't want to be sad because i still got to go to my first ever award show and i still got to be sitting in a room with so many of my favourite actors and actresses and directors that i didn't want to be sad. because in some small way, our movie, our little indie movie was still good enough even if i specifically wasn't..." everyone watched as kailani told her story as tears welled in everyone's eyes as they listened intently at the girls heartbreaking story
"...and now, all these years later, at twenty-five-years-old and finally, i'm in a movie that was more than good enough in a role that i was good enough in. and that role just happened to be the beautiful, wonderful, strong-willed ophelia mercury, the daughter of the masterful, exuberant, prowess freddie mercury *cheers*. working on bohemian rhapsody was a blessing that i never knew i was going to be blessed with. and it was something that at the time i didn't know i would need as bad as i did. this movie made me realise that i actually am good enough and that i am someone in this industry *applause*. now it's time i thank my brother, george who took time out of his busy formula one schedule along with some other races to even be here tonight as well as throughout the filming process, i love you guys! and now my beautiful and talented cast, thank you, because it's all down to them, rami, ben, gwilym, joseph, lucy, allen as the main ones but there were so many people that i don't have the time to individually thank them. i also want to extend my gratitude to dr brian may and roger taylor, thank you for trusting us with this beautiful and gorgeous story of freddie! you two were dreams to work with everyday on set and i can't thank you enough for the way you made everyone on our set feel welcomed, included but above all loved and safe. there has never been a set that i've felt as safe as i felt on the first day i walked onto the set of bohemian rhapsody and that feeling of safety has never left and it's been basically a year since filming ended *giggles*. so sorry i've said so much but, just, thank you so much to everyone that made this gorgeous movie possible and allowing me the opportunity to be acknowledged for it, thank you, i love you all, mwah! this is for you freddie and ophelia!" kailani finished as she hoisted her globe high as everyone (but mostly her bo-rhap family) screamed, applauded and cried for joy at their costar's success as gary and kailani walked off stage together so rami's category could be called out
after rami's category was announced and won by himself which made kailani cry even more backstage, only to find out that the movie won in the very next and last award after that, the after-party roared in jubilation for all the nominees and winners.
💐
the golden globes were over and now there was only a couple of award shows left of the season and circut, kailani decided to post some photos from the night as she cuddled up against lando in the hotel room since the next one was a few weeks away and there was no use on flying back to the united kingdom just yet.

thank you so much to every single person who helped me get to this point. i have dreamt of this day ever since my first movie with gary oldman. i know i mentioned it in my speech but, because of my very first golden globes, i thought the movies i was in and my acting in those movies was only good because of how many awards they were nominated for/won. which clearly blew my self esteem when for half of my child acting life, i was never nominated for anything in the solo categories and only nominated with the rest of my ensemble cast for the movies - not they ever won their nominated awards though. so, finally getting to have that moment where i got to get up and say "i am good enough" and "our movie is good enough" felt right and i'm beyond thankful that it was this beautiful movie, bohemian rhapsody, that got me that recognition little kailani used to obsessively pray for every time she did a new movie. working on bohemian rhapsody was an honour and it's something that i'll never be able to replicate ever again in any new movie i do and i'm glad because this movie will never be able to be replicated by anyone or another group of actors and actresses. rami, my darling, you were the perfect freddie, it didn't matter that you weren't the first choice because you were the choice that has got our beautiful little movie all these awards! ben, our beautiful benny, you were the perfect roger and joseph and gwil, you were the perfect disco deaky and astrophysicist brian. and lucy lu, my gorgeous luce, you were the perfect mary and i am so glad i got to do this movie alongside my (non-biological) twin sister even though i ended up playing the secret daughter of freddie. along with my beautiful allen who played the evilest man in the universe of queen, you were perfect and it truly was scary good at how well you encapsulated such a master manipulator because of how kind-natured and gentle you are.
whilst i'm genuinly devastated that it's coming to the end of celebrating our special little thing, i wouldn't have wanted to celebrate it with anyone else. bohemian rhapsody has been an honour and a project that i'm never going to forget. and like freddie mercury once said, "you can be anything you want to be, just turn yourself into anything you think that you could ever be"

rewriting this but with the f1 grid (kind of) involved was really cool! bohemian rhapsody is truly one of my fave biopics since i love queen so much. every single time i rewatch it, i find so many new details that i'd never noticed before! i also apologise though for how short it was!

freddie mercury masterlist
A/N: Nyeah. Two years have passed since I started writing for Queen, and I gotta admit that it was uncomfortable writing for Freddie because, well, you know, he was a gay man. But I guess people wanted me to elaborate on his romantic life before he actually realised he was gay. I don't know, but you know, if you like reading Freddie x fem!reader stuff, here you go. Happy reading! <3

Finding out the truth about Freddie; Queen x reader
*Author’s note*
Here we go with the next chapter, now I hope you got your tissues ready cause I swear people, these next few chapters are gonna be heavy. Now in this one there is an insane amount of fluff first but then as the story goes on, YEESH! I’ll say this I HATED writing a portion of this chapter cause I was CRYING!!!
Also in the near future I may do a sorta HC type thing because there is one additional surprise that’s in this chapter (it’s nothing bad trust me) but I may just do that instead of making another fic of it. But I hope you all enjoy this part as much as you enjoyed the previous. And look out for the next and final update coming in just a few.

_______________________________________________________________
*December 15th, 1990*
It was like any other day in holiday home of Montreux.  I was getting the place ready for the boys to stay while they got some work done. Brian wouldn’t tell me much but just the fact that the press were really hounding on Freddie lately. Now I have heard that there had been rumors that Freddie was sick but of what I had no idea.
The boys refused to tell me every time I asked. The last time I had seen Freddie and the guys in the public view was when they won the award for best band of the 1980’s.
And I’ll definitely say that something did look wrong with him, he was so thin and pale it was like I wasn’t even looking at the same person.  But a walking corpse.  I checked the clock really quick and said to myself.
“Okay Jack should be back with them any minute. Their flight was supposed to have come in a half hour ago. That is if there had been no delay. But there shouldn’t have been otherwise he’d call me. Okay bedrooms have been assigned, dinner’s just about done, and the twins are upstairs napping. Susan will drop Kelly back home after the playdate with Amy, okay I think that’s everything.”
Soon I heard two separate barks from upstairs on the balcony.  I knew that it was Sammy our 3 year old golden retriever and Bucky our 6 year old German Shepherd, sounding the alarm that company had arrived.  I smiled and raced towards the door and opened it to reveal the guys coming out of the cars.
I smiled widely and raced towards them not helping myself to an ecstatic squeal that came out of my mouth.
“Ahh her royal majesties have finally arrived!” As the first person I tackled in a hug was Brian.  Seeing me coming at him, he immediately was ready as he picked me up and spun me around making me laugh as I said.
“Oh you guys look at you all!” He set me down as I brought Deacy in for the next hug.  He pecked my cheek and embraced me back and as I hugged Roger and Fred at the same time I said, “Oh it’s been too long, I’ve missed my boys soo much. Oi,” I separated from them and gathered them together so that I could scold them like the mother I was, “Just because you four are now some hotshot band of the 80’s doesn’t mean you can forget about the people who most love you four. I worry about you guys I expect a call every now and then.”
“You know we check in on you love.” Said Roger. I grinned at him and said.
“Yeah I know but still. I don’t want you four to forget about little ol me.”
“Darling it’s impossible to forget about you.” Said Freddie.
“Hey you guys hungry? I’ve made cornbread and chilly.” I asked.
“Wait did I just hear cornbread and chilly?” Jack suddenly came into the group circle making us laugh and I said.
“Yes darling, it’s in the stove, should be done about now.” I took the guys inside the house and as they got a good view of the house from the inside Deacy said.
“Wow (y/n), your home is beautiful.”
“Thanks Deacy, the perfect vacation home for three kids. But oh lord the sleepovers that will happen in the future. It’ll fit an entire classroom.” I teased the last part.
“Speaking of which where are the little ankle biters at?” asked Roger.
“Well the twins are upstairs taking their afternoon nap, and Kelly is at a friend’s place. Should be back around 5-10 minutes or so.”
“How have they been doing?” asked Brian.
“Well the twins just had their 18month checkup about a month ago. Everything’s all healthy, Jack Jr. grew another 3inches. And Georgie gained 3 extra pounds.” Deacy whistled and said.
“Seems you’ve got a weed on your hands with Jack.”
“Tell me about it, by the time the boy’s in junior high, he’ll probably be as tall as an NBA player.” They looked at me confused and that’s when I stated, “Basketball player.” To which they nodded in understandment.
“And how’s the little nightingale?” asked Freddie.
“She’s been good. Really liking her kindergarten class, her teacher says she’s the smartest little girl she’s ever seen.”
“And we wouldn’t expect nothing less, she’s like her mother in every sense, shape and form.” Roger praised as he gave me a fatherly peck on the temple.  I playfully shoved him and said.
“But I know she’ll be excited to see you all. She doesn’t even know you guys are coming.”
“My, my you are a sneaky mother lion aren’t yah dear?” teased Freddie.
“I do my best Fred. Okay so let me show you all to your rooms so you can set your stuff down and then we can have dinner.” I then led the boys up the stairs.
But as I reached the top I began to notice that Fred seemed to be struggling immensely.
I walked back down towards him and took his luggage and he looked at me and I smiled softly, hoping that I wasn’t crossing any boundaries.
“Thank you darling.” He said with a nod and I nodded back to him and tried to help him up the stairs but he refused telling me that he got it under control.
“Okay Freddie this room is yours,”
“Thank you darling.” He said as he set himself down on the bed and for the first time since arriving I saw him truly become relaxed. I set his stuff down at his bedside and said to him.
“I’ll let you know when dinner’s finally ready.” He thanked me once more and that’s when we all heard barking coming down the hall.
Bucky had entered Freddie’s room and trotted right up towards him.
“Hi Bucky!” Freddie said trying to sound enthusiastically but that’s when Bucky started to bark at him and not in the happy way.  He almost sounded alarmed or defensive.  I walked up towards him telling him as I ruffled his fur.
“What is wrong with you yah rotter? It’s just Freddie.”
“Oh I think my outfit just smells like Delilah that’s all.”
“I am so sorry Freddie he’s never acted this way before to anyone.” I apologized.
“No apologizes necessary darling.” He assured me. I knelt down to Bucky’s height and he sniffed under my chin whimpering and grunting as I scowled him.
“What’s the matter with you huh? It’s like you smelled something bad on him.” Bucky let out a couple more barks before a whistle was heard and Bucky went trotting over to Roger who began to pet him.  “Again Fred I’m so sorry about this, hopefully Sammy will be nicer for the both of them. You just get yourself situated and I’ll come check on you in a bit.”
“No need to hover over me like a mama bear darling, I’ll be fine.” I just grinned at him and left his room and took the rest of band members of Queen to their rooms.
Deacy and Roger had rooms that were next door to each other’s while Brian’s room was just across from the master bedroom.
Once the guys got settled in, Jack had gotten the table set up and now everyone was gathered around the table ready to eat. I set the food down and I heard Roger say.
“Ahh about time, at least this will be better than airplane food.”
“Oh (y/n) this smells absolutely delicious.” Complimented Brian.
“Thank you boys, and please help yourselves to as much as you want.”  We all then dug into our dinner.
“So how far did you say the studio was from here?” asked Freddie.
“It’s literally 20 minutes from here. Can’t miss it, it’s a beautiful building. I’m actually about to do some recording myself there tomorrow for my next album.”
“Mind telling us about it?” asked Roger.
“Oh no, no, no, no, no you cheeky devils. You’ll have to wait till it hits the shelves. I’m not spilling a single detail.”
“Ahh come on love, we tell each other everything in regard to work.” Said Brian.
“Nope, not gonna get anything outta me.” I said as I took a spoonful of chilly into my mouth.  The front door soon opened and shut as we all heard a tiny little girl’s voice call out.
“Hi mummy!”
“There she is.” Proclaimed Deacy.  Soon coming around the corner at 5 years old now with my (h/c) locks that went past her shoulders and (e/c) eyes that shined like little gems was my dear little Kelly.
“Uncle Deacy!” She raced over to Deacy who picked her up and gave her a kiss on the cheek as he said.
“How’s my favorite niece doing? Ohh you’re getting so big.”
“I see how it is Kelly, you go to Deacy but ignore the rest of us.” Freddie taunted.
“No Uncle Freddie, I never forget about you!” Kelly whined.  Freddie grinned at her and said.
“I know you wouldn’t. Now come give your uncle Freddie a kiss my little nightingale.” Kelly got out of Deacy’s lap and went over to Freddie who picked her up and kissed both her cheeks.  I noticed that Freddie was straining to pick her up, he tried to hide it but I could see it in his face as he picked her up.
“And what of my hug and kiss Kelly?” Brian asked. She giggled and Freddie passed her over to Brian.  She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed Brian’s cheek.  I picked up Jack Jr. from his booster seat while Jack took Daniel.  Brian gave Kelly her Eskimo kiss before kissing her forehead which made her giggle.
“Where’s papa Roger?” she asked innocently.  I turned to Roger who went to grab another beer can to see his goddaughter being held in Brian’s arms.  I grinned at him as he said as he set his beer down.
“Why don’t you turn around and find out.” Kelly immediately turned around and raced towards Roger who got down to her height and picked her up under her arms holding her close to his chest which caused the whole room to erupt with soft laughs.
Just like me, Kelly’s always favored Roger out of the guys.  Thankfully Roger took the role of godfather to a whole new level.  Anytime I needed advice with Kelly, he was always there day or night.  He adored Kelly with all his heart and like he did with me, he treated Kelly like his own child and gave her the entire world.
“You happy to see your uncles and your god papa sweetie?” asked Jack.
“I’m very happy.” Roger hugged her close to him and repeatedly kissed Kelly’s cheek making her giggle and squirm in his arms.
“And get this poppet, your uncles and godfather will be staying here with us for a while whilst they get some work done.” I told her.  Her eyes lit up and she turned to Roger and asked him.
“Really?”
“That’s right love, hope you won’t get too sick of us like your mother does.” Roger teased.
“No I miss you guys!” She said as she hugged Roger’s neck and buried her face into it which made all of us laugh.  Roger kissed her head and set back down in his seat while I got a bowl ready for Kelly.  Once I set it down, she whined out, “Aww mummy, I don’t like chilly though!”
“Sorry darling but you’re gonna have to expand your eating habits. Just try a couple of bites.” I told her.  She huffed as she crossed her arms over her chest pouting.
“Ahh come on now lovey, listen to your mummy and try at least a spoonful.” Said Roger as he gave her the puppy dog eyes but Kelly still refused.
“Okay then, I guess that means I’ll have to give the extra ice cream sandwiches to one of the guys then.” I started off.  It was then Kelly perked up and said.
“Wait! Wait! I want an ice cream sandwich!” I smirked knowing that I had her right where I wanted her.  I knelt down in front of her and said to her.
“Then you’ve got to eat your chilly.” She whined as she looked between her bowl and me.  “It’s either that or not dessert monkey.” She then finally gave in and reached for her spoon and took a bite of the chilly.  “That’s my girl.” I kissed the top of her head as Roger said.
“You’re so bad with her.”
“Well I did learn from the best,” I pecked his cheek and went to grab the ice cream sandwiches from the freezer.
The rest of the night was spent catching up with the guys and eating our dessert.  Kelly was coloring in her coloring book while the boys were playing with their blocks at the center of the living room.
“So how have you two adjusted to dealing with 3 kids now?” asked Brian.
“It’s a struggle at times, but we’re happy to have our boys.” I said.
“Jack Jr. is an angel from heaven, Georgie however is a little devil in disguise. Jack Jr. clears his plate like a gentleman, Georgie on the other hand will just scatter his food down to the floor. Like the other day they were eating cheerios and he goes shoving the cheerios onto the ground, but what he does next is that he just looks at me like this,” Jack then made a ‘stare-down’ face as he said, “Like he’s saying, I know you’re gonna pick that up’.” Which got the guys laughing.
“Trust me Jack, I went through the same thing with Robert when he was first born. But eventually he grew out of it, hopefully it’ll be the same with Georgie.” Said Deacy.
“Let’s hope so, I don’t think I can raise a mini-Jensen.” Jack groaned which made us laugh again.
As the night drew darker, Kelly who was now leaning against her godfather yawned and that’s when Roger said.
“Seems like someone had a long day today.” I stood up to take her upstairs but he stopped me and said, “It’s fine love, I’ll take her up. You take care of those boys of yours.”
“You sure?” I asked.
“Yeah it’ll be fine.” Roger then slowly picked Kelly up without trying to wake her up and took her up to her room.
God she looked so cute leaning up against Roger like that, reminds me of me at that age when my real father would take me up to bed after I had fallen asleep doing something.
“It is getting rather late. I think we should all be in bed by now, we want to get as early of a start recording as we can.” Stated Freddie.
“Agreed.” Brian spoke up.  It was then decided that we all turned in for the night.  Jack and I put the twins in their nursery jointed right next door to the master bedroom and I said goodnight to the three queens and they bid us a goodnight back.  Jack and I unfolded the sheets and got into bed.
“How long do you think you’ll be staying in the studio for?”
“I’m hoping to plan just 9 hours, but I can’t make any promises. Plus with the guys here, they may need me. Hope that isn’t any trouble for you.”
“No, no it’s fine. It’s been awhile since you’ve got to work with the boys, they might need you back with them.”
“Yeah they are lost without me.” We kissed each other and then snuggled up for the night.
*3rd Person POV*
While everyone was getting situated into bed, Roger finally arrived at Kelly’s room and walked over to her bed.  He gently set her down and just before he could cover her up, she moaned and opened her eyes and said.
“Papa Roger?” Roger looked up at her and smiled and said.
“Hey you, I thought you’d gone to dreamland by now.”
“I couldn’t with you and uncle Deacy, uncle Brian and uncle Freddie here. I’m too excited to sleep now.”
“Oh really?” She nodded but then Roger took notice that she had the same sad look that she inherited from her mother. “What is it lovey?” he asked.
“I don’t think I can say it.” She responded solemnly as she looked down away from Roger.  Roger looked at his goddaughter as said.
“Kelly, you know that if something’s bothering you, you know you can always tell me anything, right?” She nodded hesitantly and that’s when Roger lifted her chin up and said as he sat down at her bedside and extended his arm out, “C’mere darling.” Kelly crawled up onto Roger’s lap and gripped onto his shirt and fiddled with it.
Roger adjusted her so that she was fully sitting on his lap and wrapped his arms around her back keeping her steady as he allowed her head to rest against his chest over his heart, much like he did with her mother.
“Talking about it will help you feel better, so come on little lioness, what’s going on in that pretty head of yours?” Kelly fiddled with Roger’s shirt a bit more before finally saying as she looked up at Roger with this (e/c) eyes that she got from her mother.
“Is uncle Freddie okay?”
At this point Roger didn’t even know what to tell her.  He had hoped that Kelly wouldn’t notice the change in Freddie due to his AIDS but he knew he had been fooling himself.
She was after all the daughter of (Y/n) Kline, the cleverest girl he had ever met.
“I—didn’t want to say anything to mummy at dinner because I was afraid she’d get sad. I didn’t want her to be sad.” Roger stroked Kelly’s hair and said to her.
“You definitely have your mother’s cleverness thank god for that.” He first teased which made both him and even Kelly laugh. “Listen darling; your uncle Freddie he’s—he’s just trying out a new look. He hopes that it will help him look younger to fit in with the new ongoing crowd of fans. That’s all.”
“Well I don’t like it. He looks sick, can’t mummy help him feel better? I want the old uncle Freddie back.” Roger brushed some strands of her long hair out of her face and said.
“Maybe, if your mum will allow it.”
“She always helps me whenever I feel sick.” She said softly.
“She is a good nurse isn’t she?” Roger asked remembering all the times that she’s helped him and the guys whenever they partied too hard and were completely shitfaced by morning when they were forced to record.  After teasing them, mainly him of course, she’d then have medicine, water and crackers to help settle their stomachs.
Kelly nodded but still looked sad.  If there was one thing Roger knew when it came to his best girls, whether it was the Kline girls or even his own daughter, it was to never let them go to bed sad.  With a mischievous gleam appearing in his eyes and a cunning grin coming across his face, Roger proceeded to try and get Kelly to laugh.  First he playfully pinched her nose as he said.
“I’ve got you nose.” Which made Kelly giggle as she tried to escape her godfather’s embrace.  As she now fell back onto her bed, it allowed Roger to grab her ankle and lift her foot in the air as he said, “Got your toes!”
“Papa Roger, stop! I’m too big for nose and toes!” She laughed.  This was a playful game that Roger not only played with his own daughter but with Kelly as well to get them to be happy again.
“Uh-oh, you’re missing a toe. Alright you little ankle bitter, where’s that missing toe?”
“I’m not missing a toe.” Kelly cried out.
“Oh yes you are, see. One, two, three, four.” He said counting her toes skipping over her middle toe.  “Now where you keeping that toe at young lady?”
“I don’t have it anywhere.”
“Ah-ah better tell the truth, or I’m gonna tickle it out of yah.” He then dived down and began tickling Kelly’s stomach.  The two of them laughing as Roger kept Kelly close to him as he tickled her, not allowing her to escape an inch away from him. Kelly tried as best as she could to roll away from him but Roger always brought her back close to him, she tried to push his hand away but it wouldn’t budge.
When she was nothing but pure smiles and no more trace of sadness was in her eyes, Roger ceased his tickle attack and scooted her up so that her head was now resting on her pillow.
“Okay lovey, time for bed.” He tucked her in and stroked the top of her head, brushing away the bangs that fell down over her eyes.  “Now don’t you worry about your uncle Freddie okay? He always bounces back up, and I know he will from this.” Roger lied.
He hated to lie to Kelly but he had no choice. She was too young to understand and he didn’t want this to affect her badly by telling her that her uncle was going to die soon.
He refused to allow Kelly to be told that right away, especially if it was from him and not from her own parents.
Plus he knew Freddie would never forgive him had his favorite niece been told he was so sick.
“Okay.” Kelly said softly.
“That’s my girl.” Roger kissed her forehead and whispered, “Goodnight my love.”
“G’night.” Kelly whispered before finally closing her eyes and went back to sleep.  Roger stayed by her bedside for a few moments stroking her head gingerly before finally decided to head to his own room and went to sleep himself.
As he lay down on his bed, a single tear fell down his face.
*My POV*
As the next year came around; the boys continued to stay at the house, balancing work and spending time with their niece and nephews.  I’ve really began to notice the signs of Freddie not doing so well.
Some nights he would lose his appetite and not want anything to eat.  There was also the signs of him struggling to get out of bed in the mornings and even walk up and down the stairs.  One day there was even an accident where he fell and broke his ankle.  Also both Sammy and Bucky would just bark at Freddie anytime he would pass them, they even went as much as to avoid him at all times which they had never done before since we had gotten them.
I was really starting to get scared for Freddie’s sake because Kelly was starting to ask questions.  She told me that she and Rog had a talk about it but he told her not to worry about it.  So I would go up to either Brian or Rog since anytime Freddie was brought up, Deacy wouldn’t even speak and the two of them would tell me not to worry and that Fred was just trying something out, or he went to the gym after their rehearsals.
I was currently sitting on one of my chairs by the back entrance going over a new song for my upcoming album.  Doing some rewrites and trying to make the song work better when I heard Freddie’s voice coming down the hallway.
I put my feet up and lowered myself further down the chair hiding myself from view as I heard Freddie say.
“Just tell the press to bugger off and not say a word that I am here with (Y/n) and Jack. I refuse to let the Klines get involve with this Jim darling. If they ask, just tell them I’m in Japan recording…..I know, I miss you too my husband. I’ll call you later tonight, bye-bye my love.” I then heard Fred sigh heavily and heard him enter the living room as he said to himself. “God this is fucking ridiculous. Now they’ve got to pull my beloved Rock Angel into this, she doesn’t deserve this torture either.”
Finally I had had enough, I poked out from behind the chair which caused Freddie to jump backward as I said to him.
“Care to confess your sins there, Mr. Mercury?”
“Bloody hell (Y/n) don’t scare me like that.” He said as he rubbed his chest.  I set my notebook down and stood before him saying.
“Well that’s rich coming from you.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“You Fred. If anyone’s scaring anybody here is you that’s scaring me. Are you sure there isn’t anything you want to talk to me about?” He remained silent and just stared at me with wide eyes.  I raised my brow at him and proceeded to say as I circled around him, “Like; why Bucky and Sammy won’t come near you without barking up a storm? Or why your appetites changed? Not to mention this weight loss, the fact that you can barely walk some days without help, not to mention the phone conversation I just heard about me getting involved with something you don’t want me a part of. Fred I’m really worried about you.”
I now stood face to face with him by the end of my rant and that’s when Freddie told me.
“(Y/n) I—I’m just going through some personal things that’s all my dear.” I looked at him suspiciously and said.
“Okay,” I sighed heavily as I dragged my hands through my hair as I said, “God if I didn’t know any better I’d say it’s almost as if you—” I stopped as I looked at him.  I then shook my head and said, “No. No way. I’m going straight to the worst case scenario.” I turned around and walked away.
“What scenario would that be darling?” Freddie asked me.  I turned back around toward him and said to him trying to play it off.
“Nothing, nothing Fred forget I even said anything.” As I turned back around to walk away it was then Freddie dropped the bombshell.
“Because only a clever girl like you could decipher….when one has AIDS.”
I froze in my spot.
I slowly turned around and looked at Freddie. I have heard about the AIDS crisis that had been breaking out worldwide.  It was unlike anything I had ever heard of, and it was strongly affected the gay community.  Already Jack had lost some old friends from this disease but never did I—oh my god.
I slowly walked towards Fred finally putting two and two together as I choked out his name.  He looked at me with solemn eyes and said the four most gravest and heartbreaking words I will ever hear in my entire life.
“I’m afraid so darling.”
My eyes grew wide, my heart sunk and I almost collapsed to the ground in tears.  I held my hands to my mouth trying to hide my shocked expression but tears quickly filled my eyes.
“Oi Fred!” Roger’s voice called out.  He came up from the back entrance and stood beside Freddie and said to him, “Fred, Brian and Deacy managed to figure out the problem for the song, we want to run it by you.” It was then Roger turned to look at me.  I sniffled and couldn’t help as a tear fell down my face.  “(Y/n) what’s wrong?”
Even in his weak and frail state, Freddie still had that strength in his eyes that told me to not cry and be strong.  I snapped out of my state and choked out as I tried to do what Freddie was telling me to do.
“Wha? No, nothing’s wrong dad. I’m only just picturing Freddie the way he’d want me to right now. The day I first met him…..Me sitting at the piano and him trying to get me to sing another song…..” I couldn’t help a sob that came out as I choked out again as I held my arms out, “Can I please hug him?”
I walked up towards Fred and gave him a hug as I wept hysterically.  Crying into his shoulder while he rocked me back and forth rubbing my back trying to comfort me as I wept.
“Oh god no! Not you…..” I felt him kiss my temple and that’s when I felt his embrace and backed away as I choked out. “Okay I’m going to go calm down, then tonight. You and me. Garden. Because we need to have a serious talk about this okay? Okay?” I wiped my tears away before rushing out of the living room and upstairs to my bedroom.
*3rd Person POV*
Roger who was completely baffled by what he just saw turned to Freddie who turned to him solemnly and he confessed.
“I told her.” Roger sighed heavily and pinched the bridge of his nose with his thumb and index finger.
“How did she find out?”
“She’s clever that lion cub of yours. She put two and two together without even having to say it. Plus she was hiding when I was on the phone with Jim. Already the press back home are spilling rumors that our beloved Rock Angel is aware of my AIDS and is keeping me in hiding.”
“Those fucking wankers.” Roger sneered.  He then looked toward the direction where (y/n) had gone and tried to go after her but Freddie stopped him and said.
“Leave her be Rog. Give her time to calm down, and like she said I will talk with her. This has to be between me and her.” Roger nodded and the two men went back to work.
As agreed, the sun set and (y/n) was currently out in the gardens sitting on the pergola swing set with a vodka bottle in her hands. It was a full size bottle but the content inside was almost empty.
*My POV*
My mind maybe fuzzy from dousing vodka most of the afternoon, but I was still sober enough to go to the garden and get on the pergola waiting for Freddie to get here.
I can’t believe this is happening. It’s—it’s like a bad dream or something.  Please God don’t let this be real.
“Knock, knock.” I looked up and there stood Freddie. I gestured for him to sit down and he did as I said.  I refused to look up at him because I knew I would break down, shitfaced or not. “Never did take you for drinking so early darling.” Freddie tried to lighten up the mood.
I spoke not a word.  Everything was dead silent except for the crickets chirping.
“How long has everyone known?” my tone was completely broken.  I heard him sigh and he confessed.
“I told Miami shortly after I was diagnoses in ’86. The boys didn’t find out three years after Miami found out.”  I shut my eyes as tears fell down my face not believing this.
“So this whole time you all knew about this? And you didn’t bother to let me in on it?!” I snapped as I finally turned towards him.  Tears stinging my eyes and threatening to come down.
“Darling I just wanted to keep this to myself. I wanted to protect the ones I loved most closest to me from being told this illness. Not even my family knows about this yet.” I looked at him, seeing the strength in his eyes behind his frail face.  “I thought by not telling you, I would be sparing you this heartache. But I should’ve guessed I couldn’t hide anything from you this long. You’re just too clever my darling.” He gently stroked my cheek with his index finger wiping away the tearstains from my face.
I turned away from him and just looked down at my feet as I muttered brokenly.
“I did this to you.”
“What?” I sniffled and said.
“I did this to you Fred.” He looked at me confused and said.
“My rock angel that’s ridiculous, how could you have done any of this?” Finally setting the vodka down, I wiped my tears away from both my eyes and sniffled as I confessed and looked directly at him.
“Do you remember a few months before my wedding? Shortly after you and the boys shot the ‘I want to break free’ video?” Freddie looked at me solemnly and said.
“You mean the day I said those horrible, nasty things about you? I wish I could forget that day but it happened.”
“I told you that I wished that you were struck down in the worst possible way……and now here you are with the worst thing anyone could ever have!” I sobbed out.  Covering my eyes with my hand, shutting them trying to keep any more tears from spilling out.  “I did this to you Fred…..I did this…..”
“That’s bullshit darling!” he exclaimed.  I felt him take my hand that was at my side as he said, “(Y/n), my rock angel look at me,” I was hesitant but I turned towards him, looking like a sad, pathetic drunken woman but Freddie didn’t care.
He stroked some of my hair out of my face tucking it behind my ear as he said.
“Now you listen to me darling; no one is to blame here. You are not to blame for this, the one person responsible for this is me. I was reckless, stupid, and gave too shits about what I was doing. I might’ve known the risks but I didn’t give a fuck about it. My moto was ‘I’m doing everything with everyone’ and not once considered what the result would be. But never, ever think that this was your fault, because it wasn’t. I don’t blame you; the boys don’t blame you; no one blames you.” I looked at Freddie with teary eyes and choked out in a faint voice that it almost appeared like a whisper.
“But why didn’t you tell me sooner?”
“As I said I wanted to protect you darling. You were finally booming in your career just as we were. I didn’t want anything to drag you down. You didn’t deserve to be distracted by an old aging queen like me.” That managed to get a laugh out of me.  “See, there’s my darling rock angel.” He wiped the tears away and I fully turned towards him.
He cupped my face into his hands and he looked straight into my eyes as he said in a more serious tone.
“Now I’m going to tell you exactly what you told the lads and I when we first found out about your parents; I don’t want you to fuss about it or frown about it, but above all don’t bore me with any sympathy. Because that’s just seconds wasted, seconds that can be used making music, which is all what I want to do with the time I have left. And you need to do the same, can you promise me that darling?” I sniffled and croaked out.
“I’ll try.”
“No dear, you either will or you won’t. Now give me the right answer.” His voice stern which made me flinch a bit but I knew it wasn’t out of anger at me directly.
“I promise.” I vowed to him.  He nodded softly and said.
“That’s my Rock Angel, now no more tears darling, okay?” I nodded and that’s when he brought me into his embrace and I hugged him back as tightly as I could but kept it gentle so that I wouldn’t cause him any pain.
I remained in his arms for the rest of the night.
The next morning, Fred invited me along to the recording studio.  Since I had completed my album, he thought it would be best for me to come over and see him record this one song that he had been working on with the guys.
He wouldn’t tell me much about it, just to come along and even bring Kelly along so that she could see it too.
Once we had arrived at the studio, I held Kelly’s hand in mine and that’s when she asked me.
“Do you think you and uncle Freddie could sing the pressure song after they’re done?”
“Maybe, but don’t count on anything okay Kelly? Your Uncle needs to rest his voice.” I entered the studio and was greeted by some of the technicians and office workers who pointed me in the direction of where the boys were.
When we reached the room, I saw Freddie put down a vodka bottle as he proclaimed to Brian who was sitting right beside him.
“I’ll fucking do it, darling!”
“Language Freddie, there is a child present in the room.” I exclaimed as I covered Kelly’s ears.  The boys all turned toward me and that’s when Freddie said.
“So sorry dear.” I just shook my head at him as I grinned and that’s when Kelly raced up towards Freddie.  He picked her up and set him on his lap and she asked him.
“You going to do a new song uncle Freddie?”
“Indeed I am my little nightingale, care to watch?” She nodded enthusiastically and that’s when Brian took a hold of Kelly and set her in is lap while Fred slowly got up from his chair and walked into the recording booth.  I took Freddie’s seat and Roger came over and stood over me while Deacy was in the back isolated but still kept his eyes on Fred.
“Okay this is ‘the Show must go on’ take 1.” Brian spoke into the mic. “You ready Fred?”
“Yes Brian dear, let’s do it.” I then heard the track beginning to start.  It was a powerful beat that already struck a chord in me and as it decrescendo, Freddie began to sing.

Even with as frail and ill that he looked, a man that was practically a walking corpse right before my eyes, his voice still held such power.  Sure not as much as he once had, but Fred didn’t allow his AIDS to stop him from working, he kept at it.
Once the first chorus hit and his voice hit that falsetto I couldn’t help but have my breath literally be taken out from my body as I just stared at him.  The lyrics were truly about Freddie and his struggles with this illness but he still knew and kept up with his famed phrase ‘The Show must go on’ no matter what.
And he sure as hell proved that on that day to me.
I could only stare at him in pure awe throughout the whole recording.  To nail the notes he needed on just the first take, only someone like Freddie Mercury could do that.  And I was damn proud to not only call him my idol, but my family.
At the very last note he hit with such raw power, I felt a shiver run up my spine as my eyes refused to leave him and I may or may not have been aware of it, but a few tears had fallen down my face.
By the end of the song, I heard Kelly say.
“Mummy you’re crying.” I turned to her and felt my cheek and could feel the wetness of the tears in my face.
“They’re happy tears my love.” I assured her as I wiped them away and saw Fred looking right at me.  I pressed the mic button and said.  “Killed it as always Fred.”
“Good, because I don’t think I can do it again.” Which caused me and the guys to choke out a laugh.
The following day at just before dawn, we were all at the airport and the guys were waiting for their private jet to take them back to London after doing a successful recording.
“You sure we can’t tempt you all to stay for a few more days?” asked Jack.
“No Jack darling we’ve taken up too much of your time. It’s time we were headed home.” Said Freddie. Jack nodded and that’s when Deacy spoke up.
“Thank you both for allowing us to stay in your lovely home.”
“Anytime Deacy, beats having to stay at a hotel or some rundown home the studio sometimes provides.” I said.
“Must you guys really leave?” Kelly asked as she leaned against her father’s shoulder looking toward her uncles and godfather sadly.
“Afraid so love, but don’t worry. You’ll be coming to see us soon.” Roger assured her as he lightly bopped her nose.
“How soon?” she asked.
“Faster than you think little one.” Brian answered her as he stroked down her hair before leaned down and giving her a kiss goodbye.  The rest of the guys soon followed and we all hugged and kissed each other goodbye as their jet soon landed.
The boys grabbed their luggage and they left to get on the plane.  They waved bye to us one final time and we waved back before they finally disappeared.
“I hope next time we see Freddie this fall he at least gets better. He looked so frail and ill; do you know what’s wrong with him (Y/n)?” I didn’t turn to face Jack but I immediately responded.
“I have no idea; they wouldn’t tell me anything.” I hated to lie but I made a promise to Fred.  He made me swear to him that Jack and Kelly didn’t need to know about his illness because he didn’t want anyone else besides me to know now.
So I vowed to him that I’d keep his secret, and I did. From mid-February till late November I kept Freddie’s secret.

You’re a Legend, Fred--  Freddie Mercury x Reader
Prompt; “Don’t we all want to feel alive? To feel needed and wanted?” (from witterprompts)
Warnings; bit angsty
Word Count; 2.1k
Read it on AO3
You were an only child, so whenever a new family moved into your neighborhood, you would peek through the window and hope to see if they had any children. If they did, then you would march over and introduce yourself. It got boring being alone all the time, so you were constantly trying to make new friends. One day, when you were fifteen, a new family arrived in the cul-de-sac. They were moving into the house next door to yours. A bright smile flashed across your face when you noticed that they had two kids. One of them looked a little older than yourself, while the other looked a few years younger than yourself. Being the polite and wonderful person that you are, you decided to make them some cookies to take over when you went to introduce yourself.
You figured that they would be busy unpacking, so you waited a couple of hours before approaching their doorstep. Balancing the plate of sweets, you rang the doorbell. You could faintly hear two voices arguing over who would answer the door. The door finally creaked open, revealing an older woman with a warm smile standing next to an older man with a stern look on his face. You cleared your throat and held out the plate before introducing yourself. "Hello! I'm (Y/F/N), and I live in the house next door." You pointed at the one that belonged to your family. "I just wanted to introduce myself and welcome you to the neighborhood!" The woman gratefully took the plate, commenting about how sweet of you it was to visit and bring them treats. The man nodded, giving you a slight smile as he thanked you. The two introduced themselves as Mister and Missus Bulsara. Mrs. Bulsara ducked back inside and called for their kids. She returned with the two of them and introduced them to you. The boy had big teeth and shaggy hair. He was introduced as Farrokh but corrected his mother and stated that he wishes to be called Freddie. His father grunted and went back inside. The girl was introduced as Kashmira, and she told you to call her Kash for short.
From that day on, you found yourself hanging out with Freddie and Kash nearly every day. Kash would come over for slumber parties, and Freddie would sometimes ask for your opinion on different designs he had been working on. Occasionally, your families would invite the other over for dinner. It became a bit of a tradition. Once a month your families would have dinner together. You enjoyed every minute of it. Freddie and Kash ended up becoming the siblings you always wished you had. Even after you moved out and began attending university, you still kept in touch with the Bulsara family.
Freddie had been in multiple bands over the years, but there was something different about his newest one. You could tell that they were going places. They all seemed to just click. He was so excited about every performance. Freddie would be as giddy as a child taken into a candy store. He was always bouncing across the stage during the performances. It hurt your heart to know that Mr. Bulsara wasn't exactly proud of Freddie's choice of being a musician and that he wasn't afraid it voice it-- no matter who was around. Regardless, you were proud of Freddie for finding something that he was so passionate about. Freddie was glad to have you in his corner, always cheering him on. He invited you to nearly every single one of their performances, most of which you gladly attended.
Even though Queen took the world by storm and became international rockstars, Freddie was still the goofy boy who lived next door. He remained a close friend, despite his fame... but then things started to change. You couldn't figure out why. He suddenly started becoming distant with not only the band but with you and his family as well. After a couple of weeks, you had grown even more worried about him and decided it was time to do a little snooping. You managed to get into contact with some of his bandmates and discovered that Freddie had gone solo. According to Roger, who got rather heated over the subject, Freddie was with an asshole called Paul. Roger believed that Paul was the one who convinced Freddie to leave because all he saw in Freddie was dollar signs. When you asked him how you could contact Freddie, he directed you to their lawyer.
Jim, aka Miami, was very kind. He told you how Freddie was in Munich and gave you his contact information. Jim warned you about calling and the possibility of Paul answering. "I can almost guarantee you that anything you tell Paul will go in one ear and out the other. I don't think he actually delivers any of the messages for Freddie." You took a deep breath and nodded, thanking Jim for his help.
You made multiple calls over the next week. Some were never answered, while most of the time you reached Paul. At first, he sounded like a nice person. He made it out as if he cared about Freddie and assured you that he would tell Freddie you called. When you never heard back, you knew that Jim was right. So, in retaliation, you kept calling and calling and calling. After about three or so calls, you could tell that you were getting on Paul's nerves. His answers were getting curter, and he would try to end the conversation as quickly as possible. Then he just stopped answering altogether. Little did he know that you were as stubborn as a mule and would get ahold of Freddie one way or another. After all, friends will be friends right till the end.
It was still quite early. The sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon. You sipped on a mug of coffee, staring at the telephone in front of you. You figured that calling would be a lost cause, so you went ahead and bought plane tickets for Munich. Your flight wasn't supposed to leave for another couple of hours, and you were considering giving him a call one last try. Deciding that you had nothing to lose, you picked it up and dialed the number that you had burned into your memory at this point. Pressing the device to your ear, you drummed your fingers on the table.
His life was spiraling out of control, but he refused to acknowledge it. Freddie just waved it all off, not wanting to see the skeletons falling out of the closet. It had been a restless night, and that's what brought him into the kitchen so early in the morning. At that moment, all he wanted was a nice, hot cup of tea. Paul was still asleep upstairs, and to be quite honest, Freddie was enjoying the quiet of the morning, without Paul hovering over him at all times. He had just brought the cup to his lips when the phone started ringing. Freddie sighed. He wanted to ignore it, but he knew that it would only ruin the peaceful morning if he did. So he answered. "Hello?"
You were almost stunned into silence when Freddie's groggy voice crackled over the telephone. "Freddie! Hi!"
His face immediately brightened as a wide grin crossed his lips. A surprised laugh echoed through the kitchen. "(Y/N), is that you, darling?"
"Yes, of course, it's me! I'm glad I was finally able to reach you. Listen, I'm sure you're busy, and this is all last minute. But I was wondering if you were available to have dinner, you know, for old time's sake?"
"Here, in Munich?"
"Yes."
"You would come all the way to Munich to have dinner, just for old time's sake?"
"Yes."
"Darling, that is absolutely outrageous. Let's do it. When do you think you would be able to get plane tickets or drive here?"
"Actually... I already bought tickets. I should be in Munich at around six o'clock." Freddie laughed.
"Of course, you already bought tickets. That's absolutely perfect! I'll have dinner reservations for six-thirty, and Paul can pick you up from the airport. We'll have a wonderful time!" You lightly huffed, causing Freddie to purse his lips. He knitted his brows and leaned against the counter. "What's wrong, love?"
"Well, Freddie, please don't take offense when I say this but... I don't want Paul around." You paused, waiting to hear his reaction, but nothing came through. "I mean, I would like it for it to be just us. I haven't seen you in ages," you quickly tried to cover it up. Freddie hummed.
"No, of course! There's no need to worry. I understand, darling. Now, you finish packing while I leave to make reservations," he teased.
"I'll have you know that I'm already packed," you scoffed.
"I don't believe a word you're saying. I know you all too well, love." You glanced towards your bedroom, where you could see clothes you were planning to pack littering your bed.
"Oh, bugger off, Freddie." He laughed at your response.
"Old time's sake, indeed."
When you arrived in Munich, you were greeted by a suited man holding a sign with your name on it. Apparently, Freddie had sent a driver to pick you up-- how sweet of him. The man dropped you off at a nice restaurant, and you felt incredibly underdressed. As soon as you walked through the doors, a hostess motioned for you to follow. She led you through the restaurant and told you that a private booth had been reserved. She pulled back a set of curtains, revealing the large booth where Freddie was already waiting. He lept to his feet and pulled you into a hug, a gesture which you gladly returned. The two of you sat down, and Freddie asked thousands of questions about your life. You answered them and asked him a couple questions about his new life, which he seemed hesitant to answer.
After dinner, you placed your hands on top of his. "Freddie, I need you to listen carefully. What I'm about to tell you is coming from the bottom of my heart, and I want you to know that I care about you. You're like a brother to me. Okay?" Freddie raised a brow but nodded nonetheless. "You don't belong here, and you definitely don't belong with Paul." You searched his eyes before he looked away. "I think you know that, but you just don't want to see it. I think that you're scared because you've dug yourself into a hole that you don't know how to get out of. There are thousands of rumors circling about you and your drug infused parties. Freddie, the path you're on is just going to destroy you." You paused to take a breath. Freddie sniffled and rubbed his nose. You could tell that he was about to start crying, but you pressed on. "What about Paul and all those 'buddies' of his that he keeps bringing around. Why do you stay with them? Why don't you just come home?" He was quiet for a moment, and when he spoke, his voice was hoarse as he tried not to cry.
"Don't we all want to feel alive and wanted?"
"All they care about are the things you provide them with. As soon as you cut them off, they'll leave you in the dust. They're not you're family, Freddie. You are wanted, but in this case, you're wanted for the right reasons. You're wanted by your family. You're wanted by Roger, John, Brian, and even Miami. You're wanted by me, Kash, and you're parents. We all love you. Freddie. We want to see you again. We want to see the real you. Not this version of you that was created by Paul."
"Do my parents really want me? Last time I checked, my father wasn't exactly proud of who I am," Freddie spat. He made no effort to wipe away the tears that were running down his cheeks. He stared at you expectantly.
"Yes, Freddie, they do. Even if he doesn't do the best at showing it, your father cares about you regardless of what you do with your life. Kash and I have caught him countless times reading The Sun just because there was an article about you or Queen in it." A small laugh shook Freddie's shoulders, probably from him thinking about his father reading a tabloid. A small grin quirked the corners of your lips upward. "We miss you, Freddie. Please, just come home. Come home and be the person you were born to be."

(Not my gif)
My name is y/n y/m/n beach.
And in 1982 during the recording of calling all girls for the album hot space i met the band queen. How do you ask? Wel im the adopted daughter of jim or how the guys call him miami beach. And i have a great talent for drumming, but not just drumming i have a disability you see im blind. But on to the story shall we
*flash back*
"There is not enough guitar in this album i swear" Brian said angerly as he sat down on the coutch and rubbed his face
"You had your fair share of guitar solos in the past Brian its now time for disco"
"I swear if you two are going to fight again like the song back chat i throw my drum sticks at you guys"
"Ladies please stop as i have said it before there is only room for one histerical queen"
"Yeah Alright what ever Fred, so are we going to start recording now or?"
"Yeah Alright Lets go"
about 2 and a half hours later the boys were half way trough the recording for calling all girls, but they all started arguing again because roger was to fast with his beat
"Roger slow down a bit"
"No you are the one who needs to speed up john"
Brian sighed "we should take a break i think we need to calm down a bit"
"Good idea i could use one"
The boys were caught off when there was a knock at the studio door, Freddie stood up And opend it. On the otherside stood their manager miami (jim) beach and next to him stood a girl about (your age) she wore dark sunglasses
"Ah miami great that you are here we were just about to take a break
"Hey Freddie, thats alright we just wanted to check how everything is going so far" they both walked in and sat down on the coutch where Brian sat as wel.
"Who's the girl?" Asked roger as he stood up And walked over to them
"This is my daughter y/n"
"Nice to meet you im Brian and these are roger John we call him deaky and thats freddie" he said as he grabed her hand
"Like wise its Nice to meet you all, um im his adopted daughter but he has been more of a parent than my real parents"
"Wel glad to hear that you have a really Nice and loving home"
"Thank you"
"So y/n tell us have you lissend to our music before?"
"Oh yes" she beamed "i love it so mutch you guys are my favorite band"
"Aw we are honnord dear" Freddie gave her a side hug
"You guys also inspired me to pick up drumming"
The boys beamed at this "really? Thats wonderfull" said john
"Could you show us some?"
"Yeah sure why not, any requests?"
"Can you do ogre battle?"
"Sure can, but i need the music to be able to play with it"
"We have a cassette here" brian stood up And walked to the casette player and put it in
Y/n stood up And so did jim. He guided her to roger his drums and say down "roger are you alright with me playing your drums?" She asked as jim gave her the drum sticks
"Yes of course as long as you don't break anything"
She nodded "alright brian start the cassette" he did as asked and the music started.
Once the backwards play of the song was over she started playing. But the boys were also suprised when she started singing
🎵Now, once upon a time, an old man told me a fable
When the piper is gone and the soup is cold on your table
And if the black crow flies to find a new destination
That is the sign
Come tonight
Come to the ogre site
Come to the ogre battle fight🎵
Y/n was absolutly rocking it And was just as good as roger and her vocals wernt bad eiter . Once the song was over y/n placed the drumm sticks down.
"That was amazing darling you did so well"
"Thank you Freddie" she smiled and stood up, Jim saw that and grabed her arm and guided her back to the coutch
"Um why does miami keep grabbing your arm? I mean you can see perfectly fine right?"
"Um not really" she rubbed her neck
"Why not?"
Y/n sighed and took her sunglasses off, looking back at the boys were a pair of Pale y/e/c eyes.
"Your blind" said john as he looked at her in shock
"Yes i am" she smiled softly
"But How did you? "
"Lots of practice Brian lots and lots of practice"
"Thats even more talent worthy tell me y/n how long have you been drumming?" Asked Freddie leaning forward
"Um good question when was it again dad?"
"Sinds 7 years old she has been practicing, y/n was born blind"
"Yeah, also one of the reasons why my real Parents dint want anything to do with me"
"We are sorry to hear that"
"Its alright I have a loving home now"
"Thats really good to hear" Freddie paused for a second "have you ever considered taking drumm lessons?"
"No but i don't think they can teach someone like me it takes lots of patience"
"Wel i could give it a try if you like" said roger
"What?"
"I said that i could teach you"
"Really?!"
"Yeah sure why not" y/n Could hear the smile in his voice
"Thank you roger"
Freddie stood up " We have to get back at recording now, would you like to stay and lissen y/n?"
"Sure if dad finds it alright"
Freddie looked at Miami for an awnser " Sure go ahead i need to fill in some papers"
"Yay thank you so mutch dad"
Freddie ruffled y/n her hair " now come along dear we have to record some songs" they all walked back in to the booth and started over again as if the whole argument never had taken place.
The end
I hope you all enjoyed reading
Sorry if its bad

The Couple Next Door IX (Roger Taylor x Female!Reader)
Find Part Eight Here
A/N: Surprise! I’m briefly back from a year-long Hiatus and I have one chapter for TCND, one for ATU AND a George Harrison one-shot I’m just gonna drop and then probably disappear again for another few months. I’m also finding it even more difficult to write for Roger seeing as I’ve kinda been listening to nothing but The Beatles for the last fifteen months and I really only hear Queen at work, so that’s gotta change. But I am very sorry about the LONG wait. I really do appreciate you guys, and I think you’ve all waited quite long enough to find out what happens next...
Summary: Roger and Y/N spend the morning taking care of Bobby; they talk a little more about the future and come to the conclusion they both want the same thing.
(Let your imagination run free, bc this can be either Canon or Borhap!Roger)
WARNINGS: Swearing is probably a given at this point, self-doubt, mentions/ suggestions of sex (advise you to avoid if you’re under 18), and I usually revise when I’m stoned so there’s probably some typos in here too, sorry.
Rated T for Teen-- (I feel like a video game rating smh)

Bobby was crying again.
Granted, it was about seven in the morning, and he did sleep for the rest of the night.
Roger was the last of the both of you to wake up; not because of the crying-- he didn't even hear the crying-- but he was wrapped up in the blankets with you, and you were trying to remove yourself from his grasp.
"Don't leave," Roger grumbled as he pulled you tightly against his chest, eyes remaining closed as you whispered back to him.
"But I have to go. Baby's cryin'."
Roger loosened his grip on you, much to his dismay, and you slipped from his embrace, leaving him cold, and alone.
"Come back, Baby..." He really hoped his gravelly plea would entice you to return from the nursery after tending to Bobby, and although you were probably against having sex in your friends' bed, he figured there was no harm in testing the waters.
"That's not how that works when you have a baby, Rog. The day starts now."
Roger groaned in protest, but as he rubbed his eyes with the palms of his hands, he revealed to himself that you were no longer in the room, and the baby's cries settled when he heard your voice float down the hall from the nursery room.
Roger, as much as he didn't want to, tossed the comforter off of his body, and after rising to his feet and combing his fingers through his hair, he shuffled out of the bedroom and made a beeline to the stairs.
He was glad he was familiar with John's kitchen; because he was certain you had no idea where anything was, meaning he would be the one preparing breakfast that morning, and the one following it, most likely.
Fuck it, he would (try to) cook you up seven different meals a day if you asked him.
Anything for you.
He put the kettle on, and moved to the pantry in search for John's teabags, yawning lightly as he pulled the door open.
Nothing in the pantry really stuck out to him as being a good breakfast that morning, so Roger ended up migrating to the fridge after retrieving the tea, where his eyes fell on the carton of eggs on the bottom shelf.
He settled on making French Toast for breakfast seeing as he, according to you, made the best French Toast in England.
So he got to work whipping up some eggs and pulling four slices of bread from the bread box on the counter-- but not before he got one of Bobby's bottles out for you, warmed it, and placed it on the kitchen table.
Roger was frying the French Toast in no time, and he hummed gently as he busied himself with focusing on the now whistling kettle, and when the right time to flip the toast would be.
"... I thought you were still in bed," your words were sudden, and it made Roger jump a little. But when he realized it was only you, Bobby in your arms, his mouth contorted into a dopey smile.
"Nah," Roger turned the pan's burner down a little, and after he flipped the French Toast, he set his spatula on the counter, turning to face you.
"I was gonna let you sleep in, since you were so reluctant on waking up," you explained with a yawn. "But here you are awake, and making breakfast before me."
"Well it wouldn't be fair then, would it? Me sleeping in while you've all this work to do?"
"I don't know, would it?"
"I really don't think so, Dove."
He felt pride swell in his chest when pink dusted your cheeks at the sound of your new nickname, and he took this chance to swoon you further by pulling you in gently by the elbows, and he enveloped both you and Bobby in his embrace.
"Beautiful..." Roger's voice was barely a whisper as he touched his lips to your jawline, and you responded with a soft exhale.
"Even when you've just woken up," Roger mumbled against the skin of your neck, lips curling into a smile, "you are the prettiest goddamned thing I've ever laid eyes on."
"Mmm, down, boy," you purred back jokingly, taking a small step back. "Baby still needs to eat."
"Well yours is coming right up," he teased, "and Bobby's is already at the table." Roger pointed to the bottle on the other side of the room before tapping your rear. "Take a seat, and I'll bring your food over."
You didn't have to be told twice. You took a seat at the table, and although Bobby was growing a little agitated, it was short lived when you put the bottle of milk in his possession.
Roger, not five minutes after you sat down, joined you at the table with your French Toast and your mug of tea, made just the way you liked it, of course.
"'S the right tea, yeah?"
You took a quick look at the label hanging from the mug.
"Yep." Your eyes squinted after letting the label fall where the string tied to it would let it. "Y'know, you've been making my tea right for months, you don't have to check to make sure you're right."
"You know I'm always gonna make sure it's to your liking."
"And I love you for it."
"Hopefully for other things too. I'm not just good at being your barista."
"Oh, don't you worry. I'm not overlooking your other good traits," you smiled as you brought your mug to your lips and having the first sip of tea of the day.
As Roger sat down next to you with his own plate of food and mug of tea, he decided to wait on Bobby to finish so he could eat with you.
So, naturally, he took the time to evaluate again what kind of situation he was in.
There was nothing like watching you care for Bobby. Roger had known you for years, and not once in his life did he ever think he would be sitting next to you at breakfast while feeding a baby, whether or not the child was his own, or yours.
The whole scene looked too good to be true, though like the previous night, Roger just drank in the sight of you putting all your love and care into a child at breakfast with him.
How did you think you weren't cut out for being a mother?
This was in your nature.
The domesticity of the situation made Roger a little emotional. This was the closest he'd ever gotten to experiencing a breakfast with a family he'd built, and he spent every passing second filling his mind and heart with the beautiful sight before him.
"Y/n, you would make a wonderful mother." Roger's words left his mouth faster than his brain could register what he'd said.
You looked to Roger from Bobby, cheeks and tips of your ears darkening, and Roger was talking again before he could realize it and catch himself.
"Any man would be so damn lucky to have you. I honestly can't believe you stick around me still."
Your face was feeling real hot, now. Roger's head was still lagging behind his words, and clearly, he wasn't done talking.
"You could be out building a beautiful family right now, but instead you're babysitting with your best friend who you also occasionally sleep with. I just... I don't understand."
It took you a second to respond, but Roger didn't blame you. Honestly, he didn't even know what he would have said if he were asked the same question.
"... Well, I love you, Roger."
Your words were simple, and Roger knew your statement was nothing but platonic, but that didn't stop his heart from pounding against his ribcage.
You'd said those exact three words to him minutes earlier, but the context of the conversations contrasted their meanings.
"But we promised each other at the beginning of all of this that we'd be fine giving up pursuing family life if that means living with one another..."
"... You sound unsure, now."
The atmosphere felt heavy, and it was almost as if Bobby had known making noise wasn't in his best interest. He decided to finish eating at the right time.
"... It's not that I'm unsure. It's just..."
Roger waited patiently for you to answer, but you had noticed Bobby finished his milk, and you took the bottle from him.
You burped him, and placed a pacifier you pulled from your pocket in Bobby's mouth. You must have gotten it from upstairs before you came down.
"Let me," Roger offered his arms out for the baby, and you let him take Bobby. You'd stood up and moved to the sink to wash the bottle.
Meanwhile, Roger, who'd also gotten to his feet, was slowly walking around the kitchen. He was praising Bobby for finishing all his breakfast, insisting he was so proud of him, his smile wide and gaze adoring as he evaluated the child in his arms.
"It's just that. There. The way you're behaving with him," you turn to face Roger, finger pointed at him. "The way you're treating him as your own."
Roger's mouth opened and closed a few times, but after shutting his jaw for the third time, he decided the best thing to do in this situation would be to keep quiet.
"You'd make the most wonderful father, Roger. The way you behave with Bobby, god, the way you behaved with Raymond the other day," you sounded frustrated, and all Roger could do was watch you pace the kitchen, his sheepish face now a deep red.
"It's just that I would want the father of my kids to be just like you. I wouldn't settle for anything less."
Roger opened his mouth again to speak. He felt like his chest was on fire. Your thoughts were becoming painstakingly parallel to his, Roger had noticed. He couldn't get any words out before you started speaking again.
"Like you said last night, this job is giving us a chance to experience what it'd be like to have a family... and maybe I'm upset I did throw the chance to have all of that away."
You looked like you were on the verge of tears, and all Roger could do was watch you and listen to what you had to say.
"Roger, I hope you know you will always have a special place in my heart. You're my family, you have been for the last five years of my life, and there's no doubt about it. But being able to have a child..."
Your hands ghosted over the robe's fabric covering your definitely unpregnant belly. "... I think I want to have children."
"... Y/n I hope you know I feel exactly the same way."
And then everything was clear.
Roger understood where his band was coming from.
Getting married to you would solve all your problems.
He knew what the both of you were thinking in this new moment of silence, but there was absolutely no way Roger was going to fall to one knee and propose to you right now when he wasn't even romantically involved with you.
And he just felt it would be very inappropriate if he took this moment to spontaneously ask you on a romantic date with the intentions of courting you.
"Listen, Y/n," Roger finally built up enough courage to break the silence. Bobby cut him off with a short cry, and Roger immediately started swaying the baby in his arms. Sure enough, Bobby's agitation ceased, and Roger could continue, keeping the movement going.
"Just because we're living together without families now doesn't mean we won't be able to have families, say, five to ten years down the road."
At this point, although it was necessary, Roger didn't really want to mention the discomfort he felt when imagining you falling for someone who wasn't him.
Your eyes were big and sad, lip pouted as you considered Roger's words. "... are you sure?"
The idea of you and him having to move out of the condo Roger risked the both of your love lives for didn't sit well with him.
You'd be gone making sweet love to some lucky asshole who probably didn't deserve to be in your presence, while Roger goes on a bender, gets ahold of some weed and coke, and sleeps with enough girls to distract him from realizing he'd thrown the best thing in his life away-- you.
He didn't want you to think he thought you were selfish. The last thing he needed right now was to feel guilty for making you feel guilty.
So he just nodded. "No house isn't forever anyways." When you didn't respond to his little joke, he sighed.
"Y/n, we're still so young. You don't have to commit yourself to anything like that just yet. Enjoy being able to go out drinking with me every weekend, and sleeping in on our days off. Your chance to start a family will come when the time is right."
You let out a shaky breath. Roger was actually a little surprised with how well you were keeping yourself together.
But his actions put the both of you here, and to see that this conversation nearly reduced you to tears had Roger drowning in guilt, even without the help of mentioning any of his inner conflict to you.
"I just hope you're right." Your voice was broken and your fingers were tangled stressfully in your hair.
"Hey," Roger's voice had gone soft again, his rocking slowing to a halt, and you looked up to find him with an open arm, awaiting your touch.
You slowly unravelled your fingers from your hair, and you gave into the hug not moments later. Roger pulled you to his chest tightly, his free arm occupied by the baby.
"Y'know... I made you French Toast to start the day off good." When you didn't say anything in response, Roger pulled away from you just enough to look you in the face.
He was giving you that same look he did at the Garrison's again; that unreadable gaze he'd achieved with those big blue eyes that seemingly bored holes into your very soul.
His free hand slipped up from your back to your neck, and he leaned in to just touch his lips to the corner of your mouth.
So close, yet so far away.
It wasn't before long that he pulled away from you, but Roger just couldn't keep his eyes off you.
"You come sit down and enjoy your French Toast, Dove. I've got Bobby."
"But--"
"Please?"
Roger knew he'd convinced you as soon as he said that magic word. Though you took a moment to look from the bundle in his arms to the breakfast you really were dying to dig into, you eventually sighed out a gentle "thank you," before taking your seat again at the table.
He came around and kissed the top of your head. "Enjoy, Honey." Roger took a seat next to you, Bobby still in his one arm, and the both of you ate your French Toast in relative silence for the first few seconds.
"... God, you really do make good French Toast, Blondie." Roger was smiling now. At least you were talking again.
"I only improved my cooking skills for you, y'know," he admitted with a mouthful of his food, though he didn't sound ashamed of it.
"And thank God for that. Cooking every other night sure beats cooking every night."
"You can say that again," Roger mumbled before shoving the last of his breakfast into his mouth. You still slowly ate away at your meal, and Roger was making funny faces at Bobby in between taking sips of his tea.
The telephone in the living room started ringing, and you stood up to go get it, but Roger immediately dropped his fork and grabbed your wrist.
"Nuh-uh. I just finished eating. You still have a little bit to go. Take Bobby and I'll get it." You scooped the baby up without another word, smiling when he opened his eyes.
"Can you at least bring back his rattle from his play pen?"
"Can do, Princess," he called over his shoulder as he approached the phone.
"H'lo?"
"Roger?"
"Oh, hey, John!" Roger tucked the phone's handset under his chin, carrying the telephone in his left hand so he could get Bobby's rattle.
"Isn't it a little early to be up?" Roger glanced at the clock, which read that it was quarter after seven.
"Biological clocks. Just wanting to checking in. Is Bobby okay? Has he been any trouble?"
"No, of course not! He's doing fine, John." Roger tucked the rattle in his back pocket when he found it, and returned to the writing desk where the phone was meant to stay.
That was something he loved about you. You always bought him pyjamas with pockets. The concept was cool, and being able to use them was even cooler.
"Y/n's got him in the kitchen right now," he explained, taking the handset again with his now free hand. "We're all just finishing up breakfast, actually."
"Oh good. How is she?" John paused for a second, his voice dropping a little lower. "... How are you guys?"
Roger made sure his voice was a little quiet, as well. "John, this may have been your guys' best idea ever. I don't know why I was against this in the beginning."
"Really?! What's happened already?!" John, everyone would have guessed to be one to avoid certain kinds of gossip, though when it came to Roger's business with you, he liked checking up on that.
"I told her about all that family stuff."
"And?"
"And, well..." Roger set the phone back onto the desk and scratched the back of his neck. "... She may or may not be having the same problem," he mumbled.
"So... so you both want a family?" John tried clarifying.
"Yes."
"Then why are you two not together?!" Roger slipped away around the corner into the main hall with just the receiver so he was a little further away from the kitchen. He didn't want you hearing their conversation, or John through the receiver.
"Well I'm not asking her here!"
"Then where? And when?"
Roger knew John was just getting excited, and his questions honestly had Roger brainstorming every possibility when it came to asking you.
"... I don't know, yet," Roger said after a while of thinking. "But soon. God, it needs to be soon." He didn't quite know why he was pressuring himself to ask you sooner than later.
Maybe it was because he was scared someone much better and more deserving of you (or alternatively, a selfish prick) was going to waltz in and steal you from him just before he had you for sure.
"Do you need any help with that part? I can get Fred and Bri--"
"No no no, it's okay, John." Roger leaned up against the wall of the hallway, fingers tapping the handset absentmindedly with his eyes squeezed shut for a moment.
"You guys have already done enough, really. I... I think I'm good on my own from here."
"Well, I'm glad," John expressed to Roger. "It's not every day you need to help Roger Taylor get with a girl, y'know."
"This is different, and you know it."
"I just like to tease," John defended, and Roger could even hear a smile evident in his words.
"Anyways, Veronica and I will be home tomorrow around noon. Y/n's got our number. You two take care."
"Of course, you too," Roger was making his way back to the writing desk.
"Thanks. Oh, and Roger?" John added quickly.
"Hm?"
"If you two end up doing anything, for God's sake, please wash the sheets."
As John was speaking, you'd walked into the living room with Bobby in your arms. "We're gonna go and have some play time, now! Yes we are!"
Roger was too panicked by your presence to even realize you weren't paying any attention to the phone call, and he hoped to God you didn't hear a single thing John had said. "Yeah-yes! Laundry. Will do."
He nodded his head once, though John couldn't see him, and after saying their good byes, Roger hung up the phone.
He turned to where you were in the living room. You were looking in the play pen for something, and Roger suddenly remembered the rattle in his back pocket.
He pulled it out hurriedly and held it out to you. "Shit! I'm so sorry about that--"
"Don't swear, Roger," you took the rattle, a smile on your lips you both knew you were trying to frown away. "There's a baby here."
"What? He doesn't know what that word means."
"Well, the more you keep saying it, the more of a chance he has at that being his first word, and I do not need the Deacon Family hunting us down for teaching their kid swears." You looked from Roger down to Bobby, shaking the rattle gently and grinning when Bobby squealed happily and reached out for the toy.
You took a seat on the couch, and played around with Bobby while Roger went back to the kitchen to do the dishes.
From 7:30 AM to about 2:30, all that really happened was play-time and lunch, something Roger prepared. You offered to do the dishes, but Roger wouldn't allow it. He just suggested you put Bobby up for his nap. He'd fallen asleep in your arms during play-time, like he did with Roger the night before.
The both of you thought it was crazy Bobby would just fall asleep rather than cry, but honestly, neither of you were complaining. Quiet baby for the win!
Roger just finished putting the last plate on the drying rack on the counter as he listened above for your footsteps leaving Bobby's room. He dried his hands off with the dishtowel hanging over his shoulder after turning off the faucet.
From behind, Roger felt a pair of arms slowly circle his body, and he smiled warmly at the feeling of you pressed against his back.
"He asleep?"
"Mhm."
Roger's smile only widened as you inched your palms up his chest. He turned in your arms and pressed his hands against your hips, inching you closer as he leaned back against the kitchen sink.
"Well, what do we do, now?" Roger asked. He sounded like he was up to no good. With the sultry look in his eyes and the way the smile on his lips looked like he was repressing a naughty suggestion, he knew you knew he already had something on his mind.
"Well, I mean," your hands slipped up into Roger's long hair, fingers tangling themselves between the strands. "Anything, really."
You knew what game Roger was playing, and you loved how cute he was, thinking he was going to have you on your knees for him.
His eyes shamelessly raked over the top half of your body, and he squeezed his hands, still at your hips.
"What'll you be doing with your free time, Roger?" You took one more step closer to him, and he pulled you the rest of the way to him so your groin was flush with his.
"I'm looking right at her."
He was already strained against his jeans, and you just offered a smile, fingers tightening their grip in Roger's hair.
"Mmm... I kinda like the sound of that," you admitted lowly, half of a smile on your lips. You shifted your hips from side to side, and Roger tried to pull you even closer.
You rolled your hips against Roger again, and the cheekiness in his face fell with a look of long-awaited relief, and his head dropped to your shoulder.
One of his hands moved up to grab you by the back of your neck, and when he lifted his head to look at you again, his second hand dragged upwards from your hip to squeeze your waist.
Roger lifted the hand by your neck, and combed your hair back with his fingers. His eyes fell onto yours for a brief moment, and you could have sworn there was something he tried to tell you there.
You just couldn't read him.
But he didn't care. He pulled you in close again, and his lips were on yours.
You'd kissed Roger before. Not in public, but definitely in the bedroom. And they weren't very scarce. Honestly, if Roger's lips weren't somewhere else on your body, they'd be on yours.
But why was this feeling different from all the other times he'd kissed you?
He was being a lot less forceful and needy than he usually was.
His grip wasn't tight on you, and it wasn't like he was crushing you against him as if indicating he needed more of you, now.
He was holding you rather, and the hand at your waist circled around to press against your lower back. The hand on your neck shifted a little forward so Roger could gently slide the pad of his thumb down the column of your throat.
The both of you were holding your breath, and Roger was the first to pull away. The both of you sucked in some air, and before you could even draw in a full breath, Roger's lips were on yours again.
He pushed towards you, guiding you backwards until your back was flat against the refrigerator. His warm hands grabbed for yours and he pinned them above your head by your wrists.
Okay. This, was something you were used to. But there was nothing that could have prepared you for when Roger's hands loosened their grip on your wrists, and he was lacing his fingers between your own.
Your hands felt very small in Roger's. How had he never noticed that before? What else had he neglected to realize about you?
In that moment, he felt you pull away to breathe, and he looked down at you worriedly, fingers frozen, yet still laced with yours.
"I- uh... I-I'm sorry--"
"No no, don't be. It's okay," your response was very rushed, but you didn't skip a word.
There was about a minute of silence, your hot breaths mingling in the space between your lips, though your gazes were locked with one another, and you couldn't look away.
"Did-uh... did you want me to... to stop?" His question was gentle, almost sincere-sounding, but he still made no effort to move from his place.
"No. God, no." And as soon as you'd answered, Roger closed the space between the both of you again, his fingers unwound from yours to grab you by the jaw, and you just held his waist, pushing your body as close to him as he would let you.
He shifted around a little, and moved his leg between yours. You could feel his mouth bend into a smirk against yours, and he began to apply pressure to the apex of your legs with his knee.
Before long, as much as you wanted to resist it, you fell to Roger's submission, and as you waited for him to grab your waist and put you wherever, he hesitated for a second, and dropped his hands from yours.
You opened your eyes again to find Roger, face red, and staring at your chest. Not in an ogling way, but more of a method to avoid looking you in the eye.
He could tell you were looking at him, and he shifted his gaze to you. He itched at his hands awkwardly, mouth opening and closing as he tried to explain himself.
You just waited. You gave him time to think, and he had an answer for you sooner than either of you would have thought.
"I just... I wanna try something else. I don’t want to control you like I do every night."
It wasn't much of an explanation, but a good beginning to a demonstration.
"Will you come to bed with me, Y/n?" His offer was gentle, yet confident, despite offering a hand out hesitantly.
When you dropped your hand into his, all of the tension in Roger's being relaxed, and he quietly led you up the stairs, past the nursery, and into John and Veronica's room.
Before you could say anything he gently explained that he'd do laundry later, and then he pulled you in for another kiss he'd been waiting to give you since the last one.
Roger pulled you closer to him, hands cupping your face as his lips began to desperately chase after yours. You kissed Roger back with just as much vigor, but then he slowed the movements of his mouth, and guided you backwards until the back of your legs hit the edge of the bed.
Roger helped lower you down onto the bed, and he leaned over you, dipping down to kiss your lips again. He knelt between your legs, and pulled them up around his waist so he could lean in even closer.
You felt his hands squeeze your hips, and he pulled at your bottom lip with his teeth. You hummed lowly, your eyelashes kissing your cheeks as Roger pulled away ever so slightly-- just enough to pull his shirt off of him, and close the distance between your bodies again.
You tangled your hands into his hair, and he hummed in approval before pulling back just once more.
"I'm sure that's hardly fair..."
"What?"
"This," Roger tugged gently at the hem of your shirt.
"Why's yours still on?"
"... I never said it had to be."
Roger exhaled, and slowly pulled your shirt up over your head after you raised your arms to help him out a little.
He placed the palm of his hand over the smooth skin of your belly as he stared at your bare torso. And before long, he dipping down to kiss you again.
You reciprocated his actions, wrapping your arms around his neck and tightening your legs around his hips, to which he rocked himself against your core, and then---
Bam!
The headboard hit the wall, and Bobby woke up.
"Nooo..." you squeezed your eyes shut as the baby's cries began to reverberate down the hallway.
"Fuck!" Roger groaned, eyebrows knitted together helplessly as he climbed off of you. You both knew it was Roger who technically woke the baby up, and it was just silently agreed on that he went to put him back down.
"Dammit to hell, those separated headboards."
Roger opened the nursery door, and made his way to the crib in the corner of the room. Bobby's cheeks were wet with tears, and Roger's heart sank. "'M sorry, little guy. C'mere. Come see uncle Roger."
He picked the baby up and rocked him back and forth, though it wasn't exactly doing much, so Roger took a seat in the rocking chair on the opposite side of the room, swaying the both of them with a push of his feet.
Bobby's cries settled, and Roger felt proud of himself. Sure, he wanted to get back to what he was doing before, but instead he took his time in making sure Bobby was comfortable and not in need of anything before he drifted off to sleep again.
Bobby played around with Roger's fingers a few moments after his agitation ceased, and he couldn't believe how large his hands were in comparison to Bobby's. He was once that size.
A little while later Roger set Bobby down in his crib, and the infant was out. The drummer smiled at his accomplishment. He didn't even need your help.
With that, he left the room without a sound.
He stepped into John and Veronica's room, and closed the door quietly behind him. He was in the middle of turning on his heel when he stopped dead in his tracks.
You'd taken some of the pillows off the bed and wedged them between the wall and the headboard to keep the bed from making noise.
You were also splayed out on the bed in a lot less clothing than he remembered you in when he left.
With a teasing beckon from your finger, Roger knew three things were for certain.
1. You were the smartest woman he knew.
2. You were the most gorgeous woman he'd ever laid eyes on.
3. He, the Roger Taylor, had fallen madly, and helplessly in love with you.

Birthday Child
A/N: I decided to mix two requests together and I think the result is pretty well-done, I hope the requesters are happy :) You can imagine Rami! Freddie or Freddie, do as you please. Enjoy!
Request 1: Also one where she tells Freddie she’s pregnant with his child?
Request 2: Could you please do some Freddie fluff?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Positive. Fuck.
You lower your hand and sigh heavily, left hand pressing to your forehead. You draw in a deep breath and it comes out shaky afterwards, the news of carrying a child hitting you all of a sudden. How will you do this?
First, you have to tell him, the father. You're not sure of how he will take the news, but he needs to know. You won't lose the child, you're sure of that, abortion is not an option to you. Freddie simply needs to know that you're pregnant, and decide what he'll do with that.
You're still young, you know that, just reached your 24th birthday not a whole month ago. This child is probably a birthday kid, you smile at the thought, remembering how you spent the evening of your day. But you want a child. You hadn't thought about it really, but now that it's inescapable, you want to raise a child badly.
The wardrobe isn't that giving, but you pick out a flowery dress that flows down just to your knees. You're feeling quite sleepy and while you tie your sneakers, you feel like passing out. You lean back up and sigh heavily. It's going to be hard, but you're strong and you can do it.
You get in your car and sigh quietly after putting your keys to ignition, the car starting. The radio immediately turns on, but you're not sure that you want to hear any music now. You furrow your eyebrows, in conflict with yourself, and turn down the volume to almost silence. You start to drive.
There's a lot of noise in the studio and you wince, already anticipating the headache coming. You slowly walk down the narrow hallway to the recording room which provides a lot of light into the dark hallway. There's chattering and drums and guitar and singin, too. But not into the microphone.
You stop at the entrance of the room and lean against the doorframe, your head falling against the wall with a soft thud. You watch Freddie talking to Brian about a song, and he sings here and there. They're obviously talking about a song and Freddie tries to explain his point better by singing.
A soft smile stretches your lips and Freddie finally notices you. His face lights up and he smiles that wide smile you so love. You close your eyes and open them again, and then Brian's looking at you, as well.
“Hi, Y/N,” Brian greets you, his eyes clearly asking the reason for why you're here.
“Hey, Brian.” You respond. Freddie walks over to you and takes your hand in his.
“Hello, sweetheart.” He says, looking into your eyes deeply and with question. You give him a tired smile. “Why'd you come?”
You take a deep breath. “I have to tell you... a thing.” You respond to his question. Freddie raises his eyebrows. “Can you take a break?”
“Sure, love.” He says. “Private?” You nod and he kisses the top of your head before you turn around and you both walk away from any peak of civilisation. Freddie's hand on your back and your head on his shoulder as you stride through the studio hallway.
You're both in the studio's kitchen and you sit down at the poor table in the corner, leaning against the wall behind your back. “Coffee? Tea?” He asks, looking at you over his shoulder. You shake your head.
“Can you... just listen?” You quietly request to him, tears threatening to pour over your flustered cheeks. Freddie stops his movements and turns around, his hands on the counter he's leaning against. He nods, his dark and enticing eyes watching yours.
“What is it, darling?” He questions, sensing you're not your best self in the current moment. You look down and sigh. Just do it, you say to yourself.
Your eyes look back up at his. “I'm pregnant, love,” you finally say and search Freddie's eyes for any response possible. He looks down, his hand coming up to stroke his own cheek.
“Alright.” He replies quietly, and you look away. You don't know what he's feeling or what you're feeling, but there's always time to talk.
“I'm keeping the child.” You tell him, and Freddie nods. You're completely sure now that he doesn't want anything to do with the kid, but then Freddie looks at you with a wide smile.
“That's wonderful.” He says queitly and tears spill out of your eyes. You're smiling as well. Freddie sits down in front of you in a back-less chair and leans over to you, taking your delicate fingers between his.
“I already thought you didn't want anything to do with it.” You admit and Freddie shakes his head.
“Darling, I'd never do anything like that,” he says and strokes your hair, giving you a kiss on the lips afterwards, “You've made me so happy. And this child,” his hand finds itself on your tummy and you sob, “will make me even happier.”
You nod and get your tears out of your eyes. “Thank you, fred.” You say and look at him finally.
“I love you.” He says in a reminding tone, and it makes you laugh.
“I love you too.” You assure him. Freddie smiles wide and stands up, wanting badly to make himself a coffee.
“So, what kind of names are we thinking of?” He asks and you giggle.

*Author’s note*
Hey guys well I have for you all another update on my Rock Angel series. Now for this specific chapter I’m breaking it up into 4 parts, and today you guys get the first half of it. This chapter is all about the first few months of Kelly’s life before the KInd of Magic tour began. In this part we’ll see what it was like for Deacy and Freddie to literally share a moment with baby Kelly the day after she was born. I took inspiration from a Friends episode so I’ll bet most of you will know where I’m going with this and I hope you all enjoy this part :)

____________________________________________________________
*Day after the birth*
After getting the all clear to leave the hospital, the boys, Jack, the girls and I all headed back to the house.  They helped us get everything set up at the house and once it was all done most of everyone had left except for Brian, Freddie and Deacy.
“Okay that should be everything.” Jack said as he finally took his shoes off.  I came down the stairs wearing my comfortable white fluffy bathrobe after finally taking a shower for the first time in like 37 hours.
“Feel human darling?” Freddie asked me.
“God I never felt that sweaty and gross even after a performance. Or partying with you lot.” I pointed to Freddie and Deacy.
“Well lucky for you worried mama, baby Kelly is still asleep just like I told you she would be.” Deacy said.  I smiled and went over to my baby girl’s bassinet and looked down at her to see that she was in fact still asleep.
“God is it sappy of me to say that I already love her so much?”
“Not at all sister. You’re a new mum now. And it’s natural for you to feel that way.” Deacy said as he came up and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.  “She really is the cutest thing. I’ll bet she looked just like you when you were a baby.”
“If this is your way of getting those baby pictures out of me, forget it Deacon.” I said to him.
“Trust me Deacy. I’ve been trying that same move throughout the entire pregnancy. She won’t even let me see those pictures.”
“And none of you will so long as I’m alive.” I proclaimed.
“Alright mama lion, then if you won’t let us then as punishment you can go right on up to bed.” Brian said as he came out from the hallway putting up some of the baby supplies away.
“He’s right dear. You go right on up to bed.” Freddie said as he came up and guided me away from my baby.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa but whose gonna watch Kelly? What if she needs to be fed?”
“We’ve got this covered baby. Freddie, Deacy, Brian and I can handle her.”
“Yeah sure four men and a baby. What can go wrong?”
“Ye have little faith in us poppet. Need I remind you that half of us have more than one child.” Brian reminded me as Freddie and I reached the staircase.
“Yeah and one of those two just kept popping them out.” Freddie joked which made Deacy go extremely red in the face and turn away.
“Okay but—if things get too crazy, promise me you’ll wake me up. I want to be involved with my baby girl at home.” I said to Jack.
“I promise baby. Now go upstairs and get some rest. Cause even though you’ve cleaned yourself off you still look so tired.” He said as he cupped my face between his hands.  With a soft kiss to my lips, Jack then gestured for me to go on up to bed so I obliged and headed up the stairs after bidding the guys a good day.
They all told me to have pleasant dreams and to not worry because they had everything under control.
*Jack’s POV*
Once (Y/n) disappeared and we all heard the door shut, I immediately raced over to my baby girl’s bassinet and just stared down at her.  God I can’t believe it.  My first child is a baby girl.  Secretly I was hoping my first baby would be a girl.  A little mini-(Y/n) that would look every ounce like her mother.
“Already got you wrapped around her tiny little finger huh?” I heard Deacy say as he came up to me.
“Yeah.”
“Baby girls will do that to you. God I remember when Laura was born. Never did I think I would have a little girl after Michael and Robert. But low and behold when the nurse wrapped that baby up in pink. I knew I was in for it. So much like her mum from her head to her feet.”
“Ohhh she is just so cute!” Freddie said as he came up to my other side. “God I just wanna—bite off her little ear and use it as a sucking candy.” He cooed.
“Freddie.” John scolded.  But then he cooed out as he looked back down at baby Kelly. “But I could take one of those feet and make it into a Jam roly-poly.” I shook my head smiling widely almost not even believing my ears at hearing the frontman and bassist of Queen talking like this.
“And you guys ask me why I’m a vegetarian.” We heard Brian say.
“Oh don’t be ridiculous Brian darling, look at that baby girl and pretend you wouldn’t want to gobble her up.” Freddie said. Brian came up and looked down at Kelly.
“She’s too adorable to eat. She’s like a baby badger all tucked in and snug.”
“Of course you’d compare her to a badger.” Deacy muttered lowly.
“She should take that as the highest compliment. They are my favorite animal after all.”
“Okay, okay let’s say my baby girl’s both cute like a badger and good enough to eat.” I said trying to compromise the situation. The three of them agreed and that’s when I asked Brian. “So Brian, you put away the pacifiers?”
“Yes. They are in the cupboard in the kitchen.”
“The burping cloths?”
“Linen closet just down that hall, second door to the right.”
“The……diapers?”
“In the hospital.” Brian said point blank as he made a face that said, ‘now I know what I forgot.’ I looked at him as Freddie said.
“Whoa you’ve got a hospital in this place Brian? Fancy.”
“No, no I forgot to grab the diapers when we left the hospital. There’s some in the bag but I’ll go out and get some more before I head back home.”
“Alright thanks Brian.” He reached over and grabbed his keys and he left the house saying he’ll be back in about 15-20 minutes. Once he left, I walked right back over to my baby girl and I smiled down at her.
“You know I’m starting to know just exactly why you managed to convince Roger to leave and buy out nearly an entire toy store, and why you were able to convince (y/n) to get some rest. You wanted some time alone with her.” Deacy said to me.
“Can you blame me? I mean I love Roger and respect him, almost as half as I do you. But at this rate the only time I’ll be able to hold my daughter is when you guys are in the studio or when he’s dead.”
“Little dark there aren’t yah Jack dear?” Freddie spoke with a quirked brow.
“Well yeah. But I don’t wanna think about that right now. Cause now I get my one on one time with the cutie little baby. God I can’t believe how much I already love her. I don’t even wanna leave her. Like I actually miss her.”
“You know dear she’s right there right?” Freddie said pointing down at her.
“Welcome to the world of fatherhood Jack.” Deacy said to me as he clasped my shoulder.
“Oh I love her so much. I just—I can’t wait any longer. I think I’m gonna wake her up.”
“Oh whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa Jack. New father rule #1; Never, ever, ever. Wake up a sleeping baby.” Deacy warned me as he stopped me from reaching down to pick up my baby girl.
“I can do whatever I want, I partially made her.” I scoffed.
Okay maybe I was a little arrogant in that response but hey I’m 27 years old, and a new father of one.  I couldn’t wait forever especially with the godfather she has. I reached down and that’s when Kelly started to squirm awake before she started crying.
I cooed down to greet her but her crying suddenly got louder and louder until I knew she wouldn’t be able to hear me.  I quickly turned to Deacy who only looked at me with his arms crossed and his brow raised.
“This is the part where Deacy would say he told you so but it—looks like mini angel beat him to it.” Freddie said.
“Okay, okay daddy’s sorry. Daddy’s so sorry baby girl. Shshshsh, please go back to sleep, please go right back to sleep baby girl.” I tried bouncing her up and down trying to get her to go back to sleep but nothing was working.
“Kinda breaks your heart doesn’t it? Seeing them cry like that.” Deacy said to Freddie.
“Yeah.” He sighed. “How long do you think we have to stay?”
Over an hour later, even when he came in the time frame he said he would with the diapers.  Freddie shooed Brian away saving him from the deafening noise that was plaguing his studio home.
Even though Brian wanted to help, Freddie told him to save himself and after giving us the new supply of diapers, it was up to Deacy, Fred and myself to try and get Kelly to stop crying.
“Alright we’ve already tried feeding her, changing her, burping her. Ohh here’s something.” Freddie said going through one of the new ‘Daddy and baby’ books.
“What is it?” I asked as I continued to try and bounce Kelly up and down.
“It says, ‘go back in time and LISTEN TO DEACY!’” Freddie snapped at me.
“Wait I remember something Ronnie used to do with Michael whenever he got fussy when he woke up.” Deacy remembered as he dropped the book for ‘Comforts of a newborn’.  I looked at him desperately and he told me, “hold her close to your body as you rapidly swing her from side to side.”
“You sure that’ll work?” I asked him.
“Jack dear. We’ve tried everything else. And like I said before, listen to the master!” I nodded and tried to see how this was gonna go.  I adjusted Kelly and brought her close to me and awkwardly swung her side to side as fast as I could.  Her crying soon stopped and I smiled happily.
“It worked.” Deacy said with a wide smile.
“Ha! It did. It really did work!” I stopped for a brief moment to look down at her only to see as she just threw up a little. “Oh nope. Nope she just stop to throw up a little.” I cleaned her up and soon her crying started right back up.  Both Deacy and Fred leaned back onto the couch in defeat.
After cleaning her up I walked around the room trying desperately to get Kelly to go back to sleep.
“God what am I gonna do?! It’s been over an hour and it won’t stop crying!” I whined out.
“She, Jack. Not it.” Deacy pointed out.
“At this point I’m not so sure.”
“My god I seriously need to apologize to Ronnie. I’m starting to lose my mind.” Deacy said as he brushed his hands through his hair.
“No doubt. Okay this just proves that NO GOOD CAN COME FROM HAVING SEX WITH (Y/N)!!!” Freddie threw the book aside before collapsing his face into his hands as he leaned forward.
Another 15 minutes passed and Kelly was still crying.  At this point all of us were exhausted.
“God can one of you please take her please?” Deacy stood up and I carefully transferred her into his arms. “I have to go to the bathroom.” I then raced off but not before hearing Freddie say.
“I gotta go scream into a fucking pillow.” He walked up and soon turned into another hallway.
*3rd Person POV*
With the two men gone, Deacy was now the only one left with Kelly in the living room.  As Kelly continued to cry, Deacy looked down at her and he lightly bounced her up and down.
“Kelly. Kelly-belly. Wanna bounce? Be bouncy baby girl? Hmm bouncy baby girl.” Then kinda like what he does on stage, Deacy began to bouncy his body upper body up and down as he ducked Kelly downward before coming back up and bouncing her up and down.
All the while Deacy kept muttering the word “baby” three times, and as he would duck down, he’d make an ooh sound before chanting out baby.  Soon enough by the third time he did this, Kelly’s crying ceased.  He looked down at his niece smiling but kept up the gently bouncing motion.
“Have I officially gone deaf?” Freddie’s voice soon spoke up as he now stood behind Deacy frozen.
“It worked.” Deacy quietly cheered.  Deacy continued the bouncy/ducking motion. This time his voice doing it more confidently and deeper with a little gruff to it, but to Kelly it sounded goofy, not threatening.
“No wonder you have all those Deaklings. Veronica must say you’re a fireball in bed.” Freddie said.  Deacy looked back down at Kelly and saw that she had fallen back asleep.
“I can’t believe it. She’s asleep. I got her to go to sleep.” Deacy said as he sat down on the couch. “Oh Jack is never gonna hear the end of this.” Freddie nodded with a wide smile.
“I can hear traffic and birds. I can hear the voices in my head again.” Deacy gave him one of his famed funny looks as Freddie continued, “For music purposes darling don’t get dirty.” Freddie then took a seat at one of the chairs exhaling in relief that the crying had finally stopped.
*Jack’s POV*
After getting done with the bathroom, I was in shock to hear total silence.  At first I though Kelly had been taken out of the house but when I saw both Freddie and Deacy sitting down, I saw that Kelly had actually gone back to sleep, and Deacy helped her do it.
“Oh my god. You got her to stop crying!” I quietly cheered.
“Of course I did. Have you learned your lesson?” I smiled widely and nodded.
“You are the official baby-crier stopper.”
“No need to thank me Jack.”
“You are never leaving this house.”
“Say what now?”
“That’s your new job. Day or night. She starts crying, (y/n) and I need you here.”
“Ohhh no, no, no you can’t—”
“Well you don’t need me so I’ll just take my leave. Baby whisperer good luck. Jack dear, let’s—give it 6-8 months.” Freddie said as he got up and headed straight for the door.  He opened it up and silently closed it behind him.
I shook my head before sitting right down beside Deacy and the two of us looked down at my baby girl.  Thank god she was finally done crying and now she was back to being the adorable sleeping baby she was.
“Okay so listen I’m gonna go lie down.” I said as I slowly got up.
“What?” he quietly hissed at me.
“Well you know the book said that whenever she’s sleeping, the parents should be sleeping. But you ohh—” I gave him a thumbs up before quickly racing up the stairs and getting into one of the spare bedrooms.
*My POV*
When I awoke to the sun’s rays peeking through the curtains and the sound of bird’s chirping outside, I began to wonder just how long I had slept.
Walking downstairs I saw Jack on the couch and when he turned to look at me he smiled and said.
“And she awakes.”
“Yeah, how long was I asleep?”
“You literally slept all day yesterday, into the night and most of this morning. It’s almost noon now, so I’d say almost a full 24 hours you’ve slept.”
“Well hey I had an excuse for sleeping that late so don’t you dare try to blame anything on me.” I said as I came up to him and sat down close beside him.  “The guys go home already?”
“Yeah. Fred left about an hour after you fell asleep.”
“And Kelly, how’d she do?”
“Well I can tell you one thing, never wake her up when she’s taking her nap.”
“Oh no Jack you didn’t. How many times do I have to tell you, never wake up a woman sleeping. You know how I’ve gotten when I’m woken up too early.”
“Yeah and I see where Kelly gets it from.” I scoffed at him and slapped Jack’s face with the couch pillow.  “Ow!”
“Well you deserved it.” I sassed at him. “Why didn’t you wake me up to help you guys out?”
“Because I really wanted you to sleep. You’ve put so much work into bringing her into the world, plus with your schedule you’ve had this year you deserved it.”
“Awww love.” I kissed him softly. “Now what’s the real reason?” I asked him point blank.  He sighed and admitted.
“I just—wanted to prove myself to be a good dad. I mean I’m competing against rockstars who have been father’s or uncles to each other’s kids. And—all I am I just me. And I wanted to show Kelly that her dad can love her just as much hell even more than her rockstar family can.”
“Jack, sweetie.” I took his hand in mine.  “Of course Kelly is gonna love you. Family is not a competition on who loves who more. When I married you, I knew it was because you were the only person to ever see me for me, and not as just the Rock Angel. The guys especially Roger only push you so far because they’re testing on just how far are you willing to go for me. And I’d say you’ve proven that long ago when we first met.”
“Yeah that guy was an asshole for ambushing you.”
“And you are clearly the better boyfriend than Adam ever was to me. He rarely ever listened to me.”
“You know I still don’t see how you ever fell for him?” I laughed softly.
“Sometimes I do too. Guess I was just young and he was my first boyfriend. Love is blind, especially your first but I’ve changed. I grew. Which eventually led me straight to you.” I leaned my head against his shoulder and he wrapped his arms around me.  “We’re a team now Jack. Especially with our little girl now, and I want to be a part of her life while I’m on hiatus. So promise me you’ll call me anytime you need help?”
“I promise (y/n).” Then right on cue from her nursery Kelly began crying.  We both looked upstairs and I turned to Jack and said.
“Want me to take care of that daddy lion?”
“Nah it’ll be okay mama lion. DEACY!!!!” suddenly out of nowhere coming out of another room was Deacy who raced up the stairs repeating out rapidly.
“Got it got it got it got it got it got it got it.” I turned to Jack confused who just looked at me innocently with a shrug. I playfully glared at him and slapped his arm as I turned back upstairs.

HOME — Roger Taylor
Tumblr media
Intenta razonar.
"No sé Freddie...
"Perdona. Solo me preocupo."
Vas a dejarlos aquí...
"Ven a vivir conmigo"
Conociste a Freddie hace unos meses.
"No sé Freddie..."
"Te llevaré a mi habitación.
