in my experience, being an oasis fan is just flip-flopping between thinking noel gallagher is the embodiment of evil one moment and the most relatable girl in the world the next

I visited another oasis exhibition held in a small gallery called “Oasis Origin + Reconstruction”
The photos on display were mostly ones I’d never seen before.
My favorite pieces were a photo of the early group, with Liam's arms spread wide BIBLICAL, and a group photo of the five members taken in the early 2000s.
There was a documentary featuring Noel and Jill Furmanovsky, and it was fascinating.
Once again, as with last week’s exhibit, Bonehead’s airport episode came up as one of the topics.
Noel and Jill talked about how Bonehead was the one who lightened the atmosphere and still helps keep the peace between the brothers.
Noel said ‘oasis is Bonehead’s band.’
I looked it up and found that this documentary footage was originally made for the “Tjill Furmanovsky: No Music No Life” exhibition at Proud Gallery in November 2023.
I was going to buy a keychain, but it was bigger and bulkier than I expected and Noel’s face was hard to see in the design, so I passed it…
After seeing two oasis exhibitions, I realized that, while I like the early photos too, I have a special appreciation for the later-era group photos with all five members.
Images of the five members in the later era, sitting in a row with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, are relatively rare to come across online, so it was nice to see some of these photos for the first time through these exhibits.
There were so many stories I’d never heard before, and it reminded me that, even though later-era oasis lasted almost nine years, it’s often the early days that get all the attention.
The later years of oasis hold a unique rarity and appeal.
Heathen Chemistry and Dig Out Your Soul are my personal favorites.
