i love how noel gallagher is a walking contradiction because he can be incredibly negative and never smiles and has the reputation of a big grump BUT he hates nihilism he started his career with an optimistic song to counter nirvana’s grunge and he has been holding onto this optimism for dear life. he doesn’t like sad endings he doesn’t like doomerism if he had to change something about his 3rd album he’d rerecord the french spoken word from “this is the end of the world” to “this is NOT the end of the world” if he had to change something about his 4th album he’d rearrange the tracklist to put the optimistic song at the end
