I find it really funny how different things vibe with different platforms. While most of my posts don’t get super far with two major exceptions, I do get pretty consistent interaction when I post here and am slowly collecting followers, whereas on instagram I have gotten 1 like total and I have 0 followers. Ok, so idea time. In D&D it's firmly established that Hags are girls. They primarily reproduce asexually and through rituals, making near clones of themselves, keeping that up. If the DO reproduce sexually it can end up as anything, but only girls ascend to haghood. The others stay as hagspawn, basically changelings. Now interestingly, Crawford has stated that in his home games he's run hags as male or female or neither regardless of apparent sex, because they're fey. If you combine those two facts, you get fascinating options. 1- It's entirely based on your body. This could give you a hagspawn trying to magically HRT in a way that arcane law accepts. 2- Being practically clones means that the original simply passed her preferred pronouns as well. If they're cis it's mere happenstance of the first one in the chain being that way. It's only by adding some mortals into the mix that things can get complicated. This could result in a family ignoring thier child's fear, thinking them safe from the local hags...only to find out they were secretly trans, and now have a hag with a personal vendetta against them. 3- The Sinister Sisterhood isn't just what the network of hags calls itself, it's basically an ancient fey contract that created them, and only accepts women. This could result in a hagspawn waking up one day as a hag, happy for the power but realizing they apparently have some stuff to unpack. It could also result in a hag reverting to a hagspawn, because they got too introspective and decided gender was bullshit. Conclusion- write an adventure about a trans hagspawn trying to take down the sinister sisterhood. Not because of the general cruelty and dedication to evil, but because if she can't get in she'll bring it to ruin. Ending with a new hag cackling off into the world, ready to spread evil and misfortune as her true self.

Hag-Eyed and Volo's Ersatz Eye cosmetics

Okay making this post because I haven't seen anyone do it and I've wanted it to be a thing so many times I might as well do it myself! This will include images of the cosmetics on all viable companions as well as player races with unique eyes.

Volo's Ersatz Eye:

Player races (Dragonborn, Githyanki, Tiefling) Volo cares not for the color of your sclera.

Origin Characters Karlach's has the slit pupil! As does Lae'zel's!

Hag-Eyed:

Player races (Dragonborn, Githyanki, Tiefling) The eye didn't show up in Magic Mirror for my Tiefling so this is a dialog screenshot- sorry

Wyll isn't included due to not having a good eye to spare and as such being barred from both eye replacements. Minthara, Halsin, and Jaheira will refuse to obtain Volo's eye, and I'm not sure it's possible to get any of them to the Hag. Minthara maybe... But I don't have a file in which I could test it.

Additional context below + how to obtain both eyes if you need it. -(Will contain a GIF)

Volo's Ersatz Eye: You will first find Volo in the Emerald Grove, and if you talk to him, he will explain that he's going to visit the Goblin Camp. When you find him there, interact with him, and then rescue him. He'll eventually be at your camp, and you can talk to him about your affliction and he'll say he can fix it. Once you've had a Long Rest, talk to him again and he'll propose to do surgery on you. From what I understand, the scene is very graphic both visually and in narration, and is also pretty long. If you have issues with eye trauma like I do, I recommend covering your screen with a sheet or enlisting a more confident friend to tell you when it's done... (You do need to pick dialog options though) Anyways, once you've had that impromptu surgery, Volo will offer to replace your eye with a relic as payback. This eye gives you a permanent See Invisibility condition, as well as the cosmetic change, which makes it a net positive. Though I believe companions do disapprove of the surgery.

Little bit of a closer look at the Ersatz eye on a Dragonborn... It doesn't glow and it's not animated, but doesn't have a visible sclera. You can get this effect normally by selecting "human" eye colors. It doesn't really match with classic DB eyes though. EDIT - The Ersatz Eye seems to always have a slightly green-tinted sclera when the sclera is visible. You can only really tell up close, but it's worth noting I guess.

Hag's Eye: The Hag's Eye can be obtained in the Sunlit Wetlands after talking to Auntie Ethel in the Emerald Grove. Just go to the quest marker there. Going through with this will give you the Hag-Eyed tag and the "Paid the Price" condition. Unlike with Volo's Ersatz Eye, you get to pick which of your eyes is replaced. The condition will give you a +1 to Intimidation, Disadvantage on perception checks, and Disadvantage on attacks against Hags. In Early Access, it made it impossible to land Critical Hits, but as far as I can tell this is no longer a thing! (Also fun fact- After giving the Hag their eye, all the companions have custom overworld dialog. I'll leave you to look at that yourself though!)

For Dragonborns, the eye has a very visible black sclera, and is unanimated, as you can see here. It's up to you whether you think that matches well with classic DB eyes or not.

If you want the effects but not the cosmetics, there are mods on Nexus which remove the visual component in both cases. I may add links to those mods down here later, but Nexus is down right now so it'll have to wait.

i absolutely adore spacea and tiempa ….

these two.. spacea and tiempa… used to be literal stars!!!! STARS IN THE SKY!!!!!!! two lonely stars (as spacea puts it !!!) watched down on earth and it’s inhabitants. They both took likings on two people:

Trinity and Stella.

tiempa absolutely adored trinity’s appreciation for time and how she lived her life to the fullest!! Trinity ,the playful girl, gave everything she could in life :] (she was the middle sister of 3)

and spacea took a liking on a girl named stella. A calm, polite, silent and scholarly girl!!! She balanced the personalities of her two sisters. (the youngest sister of 3)

These two lived at the kingdom in ghovora, which their older sister ruled: griselda!!!

they all lived happily until humanity killed arceus. Chaos roamed around the region, there was danger everywhere and people desperately wanted the archetype’s power. The Power arceus left behind. They wanted to save themselves, they wished to live, no matter the cost!!

This all led to griselda getting paranoid day by day.. she wanted peace more than anything, she wanted to protect her kingdom, her people, her sisters and most importantly her daughter!!! She loved them so much, she’d do anything for them…

which is why she teamed up with leisel and started sacrificing humans and pokemons to make crests

Crests made her army unstoppable. She broke off the alliance of the 7 kingdoms and started taking over the region. Why? Because if she took control over the entire land, she’d stop the pain and suffering all together!! No one could plot anything under her finger tips !! She’d stop it before they even happen !!If true peace is to be obtained, it will be through her.

thats where Variya comes in and offers both the sisters to be interceptors. She could give them the power to stop their sister from destroying the entire earth!!!

but they cant… both of them are afraid …and scared…they dont want to suffer anymore.. they want the pain to go away !! How could their older sister do something so cruel??? They couldn’t go up against her, they loved her… they just couldn’t …it’s too much for them!!!

So Variya offers both of them a deal: letting someone else do their job, beings that are not human will take over their body and do it for them…and they accept the deal.

Two stars fell down to earth and took over the bodies of stella and trinity….

Spacea and Tiempa were born. (And i assume they were the first interceptors to ever be, since variya was working all on this after arceus’ death and all 3 sisters lived in the same layer ..!)

They have the option on either saving the entire planet or damning it forever.. they choose to save it, because trinity and stella loved this earth so much. It meant a lot to them and was precious to both

the hags were doing it for the poor sisters, not for humanity, not for anybody … just for stella and trinity…

They build their own kingdom…and confront griselda one day. Griselda refuses to stop the war. So they result to the only thing… the death of their sister. They have to kill her.

So they team up with Griselda’s daughter (who has no name btw LMAO) and poison her… as she was dying, she saw the faces of her three beloved family.. why would they do something like this? Why would they betray her like this? All this war… and all the pain she has caused… it was all for them to be safe !! She just wanted the best for them….

This marks the end of an era

But whoops griselda turns into giratina (somehow) and starts thrashing and destroying everything in her path out of anger and hurt. She rips her daughter’s soul and locks it away

and spacea and tiempa, not wanting any more of this, lock her away to the distortion world!! By now, all the kingdoms were ruined and in shambles. So many have died….

they then volunteered to the overseer thing to help variya with whatever she needed, because hey….it was thanks to her that they got to save something so precious for stella and trinity ….they got to help the two people they liked the most..… and they got be humans …they just had to repay the ‘god’ of this world …and so they become the false gods we know as today (yay !!)

and then the plot happens and yeah…! So sad..

Also omg in paragon tiempa admits that she looks foward to finally dying !!! LIKE !!!! AUGHH ….she wants to die!?1?1!!1 hello!?!1??1

And…….. these two love each other very much and i love that ..i love sisters……

spacea mentions how tiempa was the only person to be ever with her from the very beginning..!!!!! She says how the status of this world doesn’t matter to her if her sister isn’t with her …!!! Even after her betrayal …she still looves her veryyyyy much …UAGHHH immmm gonna cry

y'know, the more I think of it, it feels like Gianni's voice for Pepperman was based more around his boss theme more than his personality.

we all see him as this sophisticated, fancy mr self-absorbed guy but like, his boss theme does not reflect that at ALL.

To me? personally? his boss theme gives me the vibes of high school jock bully who says "Well well well. What do we have here?" which is what I think Gianni was going for and surprisingly it matches Pepperman so well
