Adaline Bowman, nacida el 1 de enero de 1908, sufre un accidente automovilístico a los 29 años que, debido a una combinación de hipotermia y un rayo, la deja inmune al paso del tiempo. A partir de ese momento, Adaline deja de envejecer, manteniendo su apariencia de 29 años durante décadas.

Para proteger su secreto, Adaline cambia de identidad y residencia cada década, evitando formar vínculos duraderos. La única persona que conoce su secreto es su hija Flemming, quien sí envejece normalmente.

La trama principal se desarrolla en 2014, cuando Adaline, ahora llamada Jenny, se enamora de Ellis Jones. Al conocer a los padres de Ellis, descubre que el padre, William, es un antiguo amor suyo. Esta situación la obliga a enfrentar su pasado y tomar decisiones sobre su futuro. Tras otro accidente y una reanimación, Adaline finalmente comienza a envejecer nuevamente, permitiéndole vivir una vida normal con Ellis y su hija.

En general, "El secreto de Adaline" es considerada un drama romántico con elementos fantásticos bien ejecutado. Se aprecia su enfoque en contar una historia de amor única a través del tiempo, evitando caer en clichés excesivos del género romántico. La película logra combinar elementos de drama, romance y fantasía de manera efectiva, ofreciendo una experiencia cinematográfica que, si bien no es perfecta, resulta entretenida y emotiva por ello merece tres estrellitas y media ⭐⭐⭐☆

👎🏻 I've been catching up on some KBLs from last year this month and sadly most of them were very disappointing. I put a few on my watchlist that generally had good reviews but yeah let's just say I'm glad I didn't miss anything in the last 2 years lol. The only one I liked was Love Mate, the rest was pretty much pointless. Hopefully the upcoming ones will be better 🤞🏻

❗️ The Thai BL Playboyy will no longer air on youtube after the suspension of the channel due to explicit sexual content. The show will continue to exclusively air on Gagaoolala, as well as RakutenTV.

❗️ Actors EarthMix had a cameo appearance in Ossan's Love Returns; they will star in the Thai adaption of the same name later this year. Details about the production are still unknown.

❗️ MileApo (KinnPorsche) were announced to star in the upcoming series Shine. The show is an extension/spinoff of Man Suang and focuses on Khem and Chatra's story in more detail.

Guide for the Akatsuki no Yona Musical

Hi everyone! As you might know, Akatsuki no Yona is getting a musical. The showings start July 20th in Japan and they announced recently it will be streamed! It's not all the showings, but the first one to be streamed live will be July 21th 7pm Japan Time. It's on RakutenTV here and the first half is free for everyone! You can also now buy tickets for the 2nd half and the other days.

The problem is, if you don't live in Japan it won't work and it won't even let you buy tickets. RakutenTV's region lock is pretty tricky to bypass, and any commercial VPNs, even paid ones, probably won't work. Luckily enough, there is a way! What worked for me is installing Softether VPN (100% free!) with the VPN Gate plug-in by following the guides here . Be sure you download Softether with the VPN Gate client plug-in (the second link on the reddit post) or you won't be able to connect to a japanese server. It's the first link on the download page here. It looks scary and complex at first, but it's actually very simply to install and to use! You will need to create a japanese RakutenTV account and connect to a japanese server to load the stream and purchase a ticket.

You can test if RakutenTV believes you're in Japan or not with the blue button for video testing on the pic below. If you get an error message, it's that RakutenTV detects you're not in Japan. If you get it even though you followed the guide and you're connected to a japanese server through VPN Gate, don't worry, try other servers and refresh the page. You might have to try again a few times before getting one that works.

Also the lives are rewatchable for a week after their live streaming, so even if you're not available to watch it live you have some time to still watch and enjoy it!
