Canon Ship: Oh boy. This is where my age shows… you know what? I'll throw out Age of Apocalypse Wolverine with AOA Jean Grey. (NOT their 616 versions; that ship has issues.) I just liked the idea of these two being partners first, and then a couple second.

OC Ship: My Jedi Knight / Outlander, Corellan Halcyon, and Kira Carsen. I can't tell you how much time I've put into them.

Ship of the Week: I actually can't tell you this, because its the core of my "current" WIP! All I can say is that they are both minor characters from SWTOR, and they've been living rent-free in my head for awhile!

1st Ship NO ONE remembers back then. We didn't even have paper; we used papyrus. But since rajakaen put Mulder & Scully in my head, I'll roll with that. (Certainly better than Ross and Rachel from Friends. It took me years to see how toxic that got.)

How Veryl has managed to spend an entire evening with Neve was still quite beyond his understanding. Surely she must have had better people to ask for assistance. Probably… well probably he’d be at the very bottom of any list she would think to compose. He suspected that she would have preferred the companionship of wisps over his and yet here they were. Standing at the docks as the sun was setting down, the remains of Hal's skewers tossed aside and notes of the long day's work all wrapped up in a notebook. 

The warm light reflected softly off the murky water lighting up Neve’s features. She looked perfect and Veryl would not have been surprised if he one day came to learn she was an inspiration for sculptures and paintings. Maybe some poetry. She should have been sitting on the Magisterium, instead of breaking her back in Docktown. She should be the Archon for all that he cared…

A lone seagull cried out above and he nearly hiccuped, startled by his own thoughts. His gaze snapped right back to the notes—his handwriting unusually shaky. His ears burned. Gods, he hoped she hadn’t noticed. A vain hope. Nothing ever escaped her. 

Get a grip Verinius, Neve asked you to come here for a reason.

And it certainly wasn’t to have him ogle at her in dumbfounded awe. She must have thought him a complete disaster by now. He nearly fell off the roof they investigated. One of her contacts nearly dropped dead laughing when he tried to look poised and menacing. But she did smile at him. Once. Well once and a half. If he would dare count the smirk she gave him when he slipped on the mud in the lower docks and nearly fell into the water. By the glint in her eyes he suspected she picked that route just to see if he’d trip.

At least they passed by Felis Forum and they got to sit down among the cats there. It was nearly enjoyable until Neve mentioned meeting with Elek, that sleazy, good-for-nothing…

“Venhedis!��� Neve cursed, annoyed, and Veryl jumped up, pulled back from his racing thoughts. The stone she just tried to skip on the water hit the surface at the wrong angle and drowned immediately. 

Veryl was convinced it was more frustration with the dead-end in the investigation than the rock itself but he had nothing to offer. Well maybe he would if he hadn’t been letting his imaginations run wild instead of working. He should be giving her some suggestions. Or provide some distraction? Some kind of background noise perhaps?

“You know, Apple trees are classified with roses in most Encyclopedias.” He blurted out, regretting it immediately. But the milk was already spilled and he had to continue. “I could never understand why, I mean I supposed rose fruits kind of look similar to the Keepsake variety when it first starts growing, but I don’t really think that’s where it comes from.” 

The words kept on tumbling out of his mouth, spoken so fast that they nearly crashed into each other in a barely intelligible mess. His ears began burning and Veryl could only hope they would not catch on fire. 

“Mhm…” Neve tossed another flat stone with expert’s ease, clearly listening with only one ear. The tiny missile skipped on the surface of the water before finally sinking in the depths. Neve hummed in approval, more to herself than him, whether glad about her streak or connecting some threads on the case was entirely unclear. 

“I… uh, I mean, the flower structure is somewhat similar, I mean between roses and apple trees, but still there must be more thought put into this.” Very was speaking faster and faster, words seemingly as embarrassed as he was and escaping the scene like spooked criminals. Too ashamed to stop or change the topic Veryl continued–his face turning redder by the minute. Speaking without thinking, before he would collapse into an incoherent mess entirely. “I-I suppose it is important to have a good indexing system, right? That would make sense…”

“I do think that having a system is important.” Neve turned around to look at him, an arched eyebrow and slightly amused smirk. “Whether it has to make sense… I suspect it depends on the person.”

“Ah, right, yes. Of course.” Veryl turned to fiddling with the leather belt holding the notes together, heart racing. He would not dare look up at Neve. It was better not to know how she looked at him. He’d made himself a fool again.  

“Come on, Veryl.” He didn’t raise his eyes as the metallic clacking of Neve’s prosthetic leg closed in and then moved past him. The shoulder pad of her coat brushed past him. If the dock now collapsed into the bay and took him with it, it would have been a small mercy.

“I think I have an idea. Let’s see if we can sort these roses and apples.” 

Of course she heard everything. Gods have mercy on him.

Flattered that you would ask! But honestly, I’m still figuring out how to do a lot of fundamentals myself 😅 What I saw of your art looks lovely!

General advice: Keep practicing, try new things, take classes/watch videos :) If you’re aiming to do art professionally, study the art created by pros in the field (specifically the niche you want to be in) and make your own projects that practice those skills. Character design? Create turnarounds and expression sheets. Environmental design? Practice backgrounds and set designs. Comics? Try turning a short story/movie scene into a comic - practice panel layout, composition, and lettering. You’ll learn a lot and also create art for your portfolio :)

I'm captivated by Corellan's personality in your narrative. Could you share more about his defining traits? For me, your JK comes across as a dedicated, humble and compassionate person who shows strong protective instincts, bravery and resilience in the face of adversity. I greatly admire his commitment to seeking peaceful solutions. But I'm curious, how would you describe his overall personality and his approach to his bond with Kira while remaining true to his and the Jedi Order's ideals?

Corellan was raised in a rather isolated Jedi enclave on Uphrades. It was two semi-retired Jedi Masters, Sagottoh Panaka and Nowan Ko Detizu, with eight younglings, the eldest of whom was 14, the youngest of whom was five. Because of that isolation, his perspective on certain things was very skewed.

You speak of his humility, and yes, its true to an extent. But he genuinely thought he was going to get to Tython, and there's be fifty other padawans just like him.

So he was a little confused by a lot of stuff he experienced on Tython, but Master Sagottoh instilled in him a full-steam ahead mentality, so he pushed through. It was only after chapter one of the Jedi Knight story that he actually caught his breath enough to understand a few things.

Kira… was a surprise to him. He had no context whatsoever for his feelings towards her.

When she kissed him, it brought clarity.

Did he feel conflicted? Sure. But his biggest concern during that time was that if they were discovered, that Kira would be expelled. She'd worked very hard to become a Jedi Knight, and he didn't want to ruin things for her.

But he can't run away from it. If he tried, he'd probably crack, the way Malgus did after he killed Eleena.

It got easier after they joined the Alliance, of course.

In this huge walkthrough you can find an influence guide for all conversations (INF - INF +). The whole text is a bit tldr but once you know how it works it'll be pretty fast to find certain lines in there. STRG + F is your best friend with this guide :)

Username Origin Tag

Thank you @redheadsramblings and @the-font-bandit for the tag on this one, I think it will be disappointing. XD

I don't really have a cool story to tell about this one? It started with my 12 year old ass being way too much into Naruto and making an OC who's name was Yuki. This morphed into Juko somehow, most probably because Yuki was already taken on whatever website I was trying to get on and I dislike having numbers in my username. I probably wanted something similar but I fear no gods and have no dignity, so I just exchanged letters until I liked something. All was well until I made my first Star Wars OC whom I named Akkari and used that name instead for a while only to ultimately smash the two together to for Jukkari. I am not a very creative person.

I cite @rajakaen for the current form of the username because it was revealed to me in the chat with her and was born from smashing together Jukkari and audacity.

Well-chewed snake toy 

Kios’ favourite toy, carrying many, many signs of fixing over the years. It’s the first toy Alectris bought for him and back then it was probably twice the size of the puppy. It’s been re-stuffed, sewn back and patched up more times than Alectris can count but any attempts at replacing it end in a Mabari-tantrum until it is returned. 

Hand-crafted Antivan Crow puppet 

A gift from Lucanis which he has procured with a not insignificant amount of effort after the team stumbled upon a street-puppet show and Alectris’ failed to hide her excitement about the spectacle. That Lucanis picked a marionette depicting an Antivan Crow character is entirely coincidental, for sure.  (pic just for an idea how the puppet would look like)

Aquarium tables (2 items)

Pile of poorly made enchantments 

Alectris is not a well-skilled enchanter, she lacks the patience and attention to details necessary to master the craft, but it doesn’t stop her from trying to improve on one of the few skills that she did pick up while in the circle. Usually those exercises end in loads of frustration and cursing, but she seems to always come back. 

A bowl of miscellaneous trinkets

A couple sets worth of marbles, shiny buttons, colorful rocks and a couple more items of which origins Alectris doesn’t care to ask. Most of these are used to barter with Manfred and Neve’s wisps, but Spite may have been seen shuffling through the little treasure trove on more than one occasion.

Bookcases (4 items)

Chipped military-issue dagger 

Alectris refuses to get rid of it despite the years. It clearly shows signs of wear, is dulled and chipped in multiple places, but she makes no effort to fix it either. It’s a reminder of her time with the army and how it all ended. And how Tevinter never bothered to do anything for those that sacrificed their best years for the country and were not lucky enough to die for it. 

Bottle of Anderfel-tea

While Alectris does not remember her duty at the Anderfels border with fondness, something different can be said about the local liquor colloquially known as Anderfel-tea. This concoction made from locally distilled alcohol and seasonal herbs found in the high mountains pulls a proper punch even far away from it's place of origin.

The world might be ending, but the Tevinter bureaucracy doesn’t. Before the Veilguard Alectris was running one of the shop-fronts that the Shadow Dragons used as a safehouse and catacombs entry points. She might not have time to sit behind the counter these days but regardless of the situation someone has to sign all the paperwork. 

Whetstone and set of leather crafting tools

Alectris finds fixing and maintaining her gear meditative and enjoys making sure everything is in perfect condition at all times. The set is a gift from her sister Martheia, despite the two not being as close as they used to be.

Walls (2 items)

An Opera poster 

Alectris might chafe and complain about the nobles and the elite but not even she is completely free of the expensive tastes that come with being brought up in wealth. 

Theater and more specifically Opera is something that she just can’t get enough of and while she’d rather die than try to sing or dance watching professionals at work always brings her joy. 

Glass lanterns from Treviso

From her first visit in Treviso, Alectris fell in love with those intricate and delicate masterpieces. She told herself she’s in no place to purchase anything this expensive and prone to falling apart but she gave in anyway. Now she might have a couple too many crowding the wall.
