Aquaman DPxDC Prompt
Real Life Mermaid Danielle
Ellie has explored a lot of the surface world over the last couple of years, but now she has a new place to explore, the entire ocean! Obviously to explore the ocean a little easier she changes her form to that of a mermaid so she can live out every little girl's fantasy (at least according to Jazz) At least until Aquaman finds a child mer exploring the ocean. He and Mera always wanted a daughter. His rage when he finds out she's a clone made by a man she calls "The Bastard" against her template's will will be breathtaking to see.

Finished Subnautica earlier and the brainrot compelled me to draw the Sea Emperor Leviathan as a mermaid. She's so cool I love her so much ;-;
Hopefully the first in a series. Definitely not the last Subnautica art I'll be producing.

China Film Critics Society weibo account posted a short article/ evaluation of Wang Yibo. you all might be mad at the second paragraph but it is what it is. it will not all be praises for Yibo. It is very obvious that a lot of critics haven’t watched his dramas and have some prejudice.

China Film and Television Performance Review Summit Forum evaluated actor Wang Yibo
Zhang Hui, dean of the Performance School of Beijing Film Academy, proposed that in 2023, Wang Yibo starred in many movies, including major movies He was nominated for the Golden Rooster Award for Best Supporting Actor for "Hidden Blade" by director Cheng Er, "Born to Fly" directed by Liu Xiaoshi and "One and Only" directed by Dapeng. This is undoubtedly Wang Yibo's recognition as a cross-border actor from outside the industry. Excellent achievements, praise and affirmation given. These films have allowed us to see Wang Yibo's potential and plasticity, as well as his progress and growth as a cross-border actor through continuous practice and tempering. They also allow us to place more expectations and hopes on actors who are not from a professional background.
Before starring in "One and Only" and "Hidden Blade", Wang Yibo had always "relied on his face". The roles he played were all cold and handsome princes or knights in costume dramas. He appeared on the stage with a "handsome" face that was almost facially paralyzed. There is no true emotion revealed in the characters he plays, and no three-dimensional shaping of the characters. It can be said that those scenes cannot even be called "performances." However, "Chen Shuo" who is passionate about his dreams in "One and Only" and "Mr. Ye", the inner-struggle triple agent in "Hidden Blade", let us see that Wang Yibo has begun to be serious about performance creation. He has the courage to challenge himself and take a brave step towards the profession of actor.
In "One and Only", Wang Yibo changed his introverted personality and cold expression, starting from the character's emotions to portray this young dancer who sincerely pursues his dreams. He interprets an ordinary, sincere, simple, persistent and determined young man chasing dreams in a real, natural, vivid and vivid way. Chen Shuo, who he plays, has a burning passion for dreams and the purest love for dance in his eyes in every scene. It is precisely because Wang Yibo accurately grasps the emotions of the characters that he creates "Chen Shuo" with accurate, vivid and sincere emotions, which deeply touches the hearts of every audience.
Wang Yibo plays the role of "Mr. Ye", a spy with three identities in "Hidden Blade". It is a big challenge for him, whether it is to break through his own image or to create the complexity and versatility of the character. He once mentioned that before filming started, in order to understand the characters and find the appropriate performance state, he watched classic films such as "The Godfather", "Pulp Fiction" and "Inglourious Basterds", and conducted special training on lines and action scenes. Although Wang Yibo's acting skills in the film are a bit immature compared to other movie queens and movie kings, through his control of details and emotional expression, he captured the audience's emotions on multiple levels, highlighting the tension of the work.

Would Raised Together Alastor still try cooking earth food? I could see him spending years trying to recreate the famous jambalya his mother claimed was "good enough to drop an angel!" He'd smirk to himself, at her unknowingly on point joke.
It would mean Lucifer was probably regularly on taste testing duties. Even when Alastor was still learning and there may have been enough tabasco sauce to kill a lesser demon.
I think so. I imagine he had to do something similar in canon, looking for whatever ingredients he could in Hell to recreate her recipe as accurately as possible. No idea where he got that deer from in episode 3, but at least we know there are plants and animals in Hell that are similar to the ones on Earth, if not quite the same. As a kid he enjoyed helping his maman with household chores, and especially cooking. In Raised Together, cooking is one of the ways he's able to feel closer to her.
Lucifer's ability to cook is mostly limited to carnival foods, so he's surprised and impressed with this kid's culinary know-how. He usually ends up just following Alastor's direction in the kitchen and it usually goes something along the lines of this scene from the Princess and the Frog.

Right before Alastor stops him and dumps half a bottle of tobasco sauce in. Lucifer's whole face goes as red as his cheeks. He considers it worth it.

Across the Spider-verse is 10/10 in animation, story, voice acting, and soundtrack (MILD spoilers)
To all the people who “Spider-Man can’t be black!” in 2018, Imma need y’all to hold that L indefinitely. Due to the concept of the multiverse, Spider-Man is literally all races, creeds, and backgrounds and it’s canon. There’s Indian, Muslima, paraplegic, Latino, and 4 different black Spider-people. The movie is 2hrs and 20-ish minutes, so PLEASE don’t bring your toddler cuz their attention span is gonna plummet an hour in. The plot of this movie is for the people who saw the first movie, so it’s matured with the original audience. Miguel O’Hara wants to preserve the multiverse (saving billions of lives), meaning each Spider-person’s story has to play out the same (get bit by a spider, your uncle dies, police captain dies). Miles Morales was NEVER supposed to be Spider-man (remember his spider came from Universe 42). Miguel’s all like “you’re not supposed to be Spider-Man but since you ARE Spider-Man, your police captain dad needs to die to keep your story consistent with the rest of us.” Miles response is “Hol’ up, you want me to sit back and let my dad die? I know these deaths make us who we are, but if we have the power to save people, then we should do the responsible thing and save them.” Both Miguel and Miles think they’re doing the responsible thing (letting canon play out vs saving lives regardless of canon). Miguel is lawful evil, believing the needs of the many outweigh the few. Miles’s very existence disrupts Spider-man canon, but he IS Spider-Man, whether he was fated to be or not. Also, Miguel keeps saying that the Spot is the huge threat to the multiverse then spends 15 minutes chasing down Miles, diverting a good portion of his resources to capturing him. HELLO, I thought you said the Spot >> Miles so why are you focusing on one kid and not the multiverse-ending superbeing?

Ok I have a couple of wakuu headcanons cookin in the ole noggin but I'll share my favorite one so far:
This is inspired by one of the post-marriage dialogues you can get with Wakuu, where he tells the player he bought his dad new yellow boots, but is pretty sure he won't bother to wear them.
My hc is that, yeah, Wakuu and Wataru still have their disagreements. Wataru still won't budge on certain things (especially new yellow rain boots). But if the farmer gives him those new boots? You will see him wearing them the very next day.
He is an absolute softie for his son's partner/spouse (even if it doesn't seem like it because he's still got his gruff edge)
And it's equal parts confusing, frustrating and endearing for Wakuu. But what Wakuu doesn't know is that Wataru gets soft because he's happy he gets to see his son happy w/ someone. It warms his stormy heart!
