Books to get rid of a reading slump ? Are you a big reader ?

Hi! It depends on what genres you like, I think! Also, if you haven't read anything in a while (also if you haven't read anything but fanfic in a while), reading something completely new can be a challenge, so you could try re-reading an old favourite, or a sequel to a series you've read before, or something by an author you already know well.

Some personal favorites for easy reading:

The Enchanted Forest Chronicles

an old children's fantasy book series that's still very enjoyable for adults. you can find them online for example on the Internet Archive, Gutenberg Project or the readerslibrary

Murder Mysteries by Agatha Christie

I love them, especially the Miss Marple and Poirot ones, but also all of her other books. They're fun, interesting to read but really easy to get into, and each book has its own storyline so you don't need to worry about which book to read first, just check which ones they've got at your local library :)

Anything by Enid Blyton

Maybe it's because it's a nostalgia thing for me to re-read them as Enid Blyton books habe been some of the first books I read myself as a kid, but I just adore them and they're such a comfort read! Especially Malory Towers, St. Clare's and the Famous Five.

Crime novels by Jacques Berndorf

(Pretty sure you need to understand German for those, I don't think they've been translated), my fav series of crime novels, they're somehow both super chill and very thrilling!

The Hobbit

It's such a sweet book, and not as complicated as the Lord of the Rings, you don't need to make plans to read LotR afterwards either, just enjoy a smoll Hobbit on his journey :)

If you have a specific genre you want recs for, feel free to ask! I also read a lot of fantasy, a bunch of sci-fi, assorted romance novels and queer fiction, and just books I came across one way or other :D

Oh, and if you're also looking for book-length fic recs, hmu! I know of many in many fandoms, also ones you can just read without knowing the fandom, basically treating them as original fiction then.

@toboldlynerd and I were having an LotR marathon, and after my old DVD player already started overheating some time in the 2nd film and needed an ice pack, the last DVD (3.2, bc of course we were watching the extended edition) just wouldn't work at all, thankfully I still had an old bootleg version of that from before I got the box set, and it worked fine until the Literal Last Scenes when ^^ this shit happened *facepalm* ...Now, at this point the DVD player was running a bit warm again so maybe it was at fault... If not I need a new working copy of the second half of Return of the King -_-

& this is just today's outfit :) went to the library for mutual motivation master thesis meet-up, then to the swimming pool.

@raindropsandteaandtears had to post this because I dont know its wild. Assuming that my analysis of YLM is based on my parasocial feelings toward Taylor Swift, should we say you accusing Taylor of cheating is also based on your own analysis of her songs? And that also means you defending Joe Alwyn is based on what??? Based on Taylor's songs, right?? And this is also fucking sad. Lol

This is very funny.

The joe defenders are so funny. We should all agree that 1. You have put Joe is the pedestal because of her songs ( well i did that too before ) 2. There's evidence of Joe not attending her work events 3. There's evidence of Taylor being consistently attending Joe's event and supportive.

No ones stopping you to support and praise Joe Alwyn for whatever talents he may have but I am not putting him in a box just by saying he was a shitty partner by the end of the relationship becuase if he isnt we wont EVEN be having this conversation.

Taylor clearly loved that guy and did everything to make it work, he fumbled the bag. PERIODT.

As a kid I did Judo for a while, then horse riding, unicycling, and handball

I did and, while not regularly atm, still really like to dance :) took standard&latin classes from age 14-18 and again in the last couple years, modern dance both during my bachelor's and the first years of my master's degree, and a semester of pole dance

My absolute favourite: aerial silks ♡ I've been doing it on and of since I was 11, depending on whether I could take classes or find a place for my own silks in the towns I lived - I'm still trying to find a place to practice again at the moment, but I went to classes in a studio last year and even was part of a performance in December, first time in ages :)

Next chapter of superstar named ‘obsessed’ will be out tomorrow 11 pm cst, and because I’ve been M.I.A for the past month here’s a little sneak peek.

I can't help but obsess over every part of her body that doesn't look like mine, and wonder if he prefers her body over mine. I wonder how she was during their relationship. Was she good in bed? better than me? did he prefer sleeping with her? did he ever think about her? Was she still friends with his friends? did his mom like her better than me? It doesn't make this any easier on me knowing he's got a kid with her and not with me. she's forever attached to him because of Sarah but I'm disposable. his children aren't my blood, they aren't from my womb he can forget me easily if he wants to. he can't forget her because he see's her every time he looks at Sarah.

Booping April Fools Recap!

I had a blast y'all's, it was so much fun!

Booped and was booped over 4k times apparently :D

I love those kind of Tumblr events, whether planned like this April fools or just a sudden ever given or nov5 or Goncharov xD the vibes are always immaculate and the community is lovely <3

my notes are through the roof!

Anyway, so then I reached the 1k 'max' for booping others within like 3h after waking up xD and am a proud holder of the black booping paw badge!

After I had maxed out my received boops as well, I made a poll about which fandom I should make a meme for in thanks

(Ignore that @toboldlynerd's url half ended up on a poll option xD I don't even know whether that was my own dumbassery or a glitch, there were a lot of glitches going around on here yesterday but it might have also been me typing too quick not seeing which line I was on)

...after a very equal distribution with twilight in the lead, at first W13 was in the lead and I wrote a little fanfic soon after which I hit post limit *cries*

But I kept booping!

And because @lavendelhummel wrote a comment on Ao3 saying she'd love booping kudos, I made that as well :D only posted today of course bc postlimitttt

Also there's an Ao3 boop theme and discord boop reaction emojis (which I have instantly added to the servers I'm mod of xD), badge pngs and gifs :D

While on post limit I had a Lot of time on my hands going on tumblr web just booping instead of reblogging, and I figured out the super boop and even how to super boop myself on web

Though tumblr then complains about booping laundering xD

I tried to see whether there's another gimmick boop thing like the super boop but didn't work anything out - then this morning, I see this!

On web you can reach even higher heights than the Max, I was online for ages, only left for like an hour each going for a walk when my hands started to hurt & for dinner xD

In the poll Good Omens, Star Trek and LotR were (and still are) in the lead but because of post limit I couldn't make anything immediately and my best trek idea (tribble boops) had already been made anyway o.o so instead today i made meme comp link lists for each fandom!

Yesterday I told myself I'd go to sleep after hitting the next boop stat, expecting that if I managed to max out at 1k in 3h or less I should make it to the next booping k that evening, but instead I got more boops quicker than I was booping!
