In my earlier design of Laila she was the shortest of the four main tsc characters but now the vibes have me indecisive again (and I can't remember if this was addressed in canon) so I'm curious:

My partner outright rejected the audiobook after less than a chapter, but very recently tried reading the book instead, finished TFC, and promptly bought the whole series 🤣

Sometimes Neil think that all what he has with Andrew is just a dream. A dream, which his agonising brain chose to imagine, instead of pain and horror he felt in that car on the road to Baltimore.

One day Neil lies on Andrew‘s chest and tells him this thoughts. He loves Andrew so much it’s just made his blood run cold when he thought he could lost him.

OC Intro - Heinrich Richter

Basic Bio

NAME: Heinrich Richter (From German, Heinrich: Powerful (composed of heim ‘home’ + ric ‘power); Richter: Judge)

SPECIES: Vampire

BIRTHDAY AND AGE: March, 1872. He was turned in 1897. Appears to be around 28 years old.

PLACE OF BIRTH: Grand Duchy of Hesse and by Rhine, in the German Empire (now the State of Hesse, in Germany).

WARNING: He bites without you even asking (or wanting).

Basic History

A bastard child and a notorious troublemaker, he was sent to the army early to learn some discipline and stay out of sight. He took to the army's ways quite easily, though the fighting and pillaging was more to his liking than anything else.

One winter night, his unit was attacked by a vicious vampire. While she killed his companions easily, he was the only one to give her a proper fight, so she turned him instead of killing him. He soon found the life of a bloodthirsty vampire suited him even better than that of a soldier.

He spent some years living savagely and feeding and killing humans for sport, until one day he met Lucien. Lucien is the king of a country of vampires, blessed by the goddess of the moon. He offered Heinrich a deal, and, as such, Heinrich became one of his generals.

The bond between them grew stronger with time, they were friends and lovers and much more than either of them could say as they built their empire. But that same bond could be the very thing that brings the Empire of the Sun to ruin.

Gail's Blorbo Showdown

On the contenders:

Adam Parrish is one of the main characters in The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater, my favorite book series. A scholarship student in the local private school, he dreams of overcoming his trailer park origins and his abusive household and making something of himself. He also happens to (spoilers) make a deal with a magical forest that gives him magic powers. Also he's bi, so he's really got everything going for him. Art by Maggie Stiefvater herself.

Neil Josten is the main character of the All For The Game series by Nora Sakavic, one of my favorite book series. He's a bit of a mess in that he's on the run from two different mafias, one of which he's not even aware of in the beginning of the first series, but is so obsessed with the exy, the fictional sport Sakavic created for the book series, that he joins a college exy team and puts himself on national television. He's also demisexual, so he's got that going for him.
