What is? Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, commonly known as R6S or Siege, is a tactical, unique objective-focused 5v5 first-person-shooter.

In Siege, two teams are placed on a map, one team playing as Defenders and one team playing as Attackers until the sides switch.

The attackers start outside the building, trying to make their way to the objective, while the defenders try to stop that. Both sides are equipped with intel, destruction and traps to obstruct their opposing forces. Most commonly, the objective is a pair of bombs placed in two rooms inside the building, the attackers are equipped with a defuser which they'll try to plant on one of these bombs.

What sets Siege apart from many other games is the dynamic destruction element; certain walls, roofs and floors can be shot through, destroyed or used as a tactical element. Siege is also lethal, headshots kill you immediately and when you die, there's no coming back so you'll need to wait for the next round, making every kill and death impactful.

The round ends when either side (or both sides) are defeated, or the time runs out or the attackers get the objective.

Characters? Siege loosely tells the story of Rainbow, a counter-terrorism unit which recruits specialist operatives all around the globe; Siege has a diverse roster of 71 operators to unlock. Every operator has their own unique gadget and a combo of weapons, giving the player options to find out their own style of play. Eight of these operators, four attackers and four defenders, are playable in Arknights, which recreates their gameplay very closely to the original.

Collab? The Arknights collaboration will have in-game cosmetics for Siege, these are only confirmed to character backgrounds and a weapon charm for now. Siege has collaborative character-focused cosmetics from other media, such as Yakuza, WWE, Nier: Automata and Resident Evil.

Availability? Siege is available on Xbox, Playstation and PC. Consoles have crossplay with each other and PC-console crossplay is planned to be released in approx. 4 months. The PC version is available on Ubisoft Connect and Steam (Steam needs Ubisoft Connect to play).

Price? Siege retails about 19,9$ with regional differences. There are different versions with different price points which grant you access to certain operators. These are optional, all operators can be unlocked by playing the game. You can also easily find accounts being resold and gamecodes sold on code resell sites.

Is it for you? Siege is a one-of-a-kind tactical shooter that has garnered interest and players over it's nine years of service. If you enjoy a more tactical and, at times, slower and deliberate fps gameplay, Siege might be the something you enjoy. Like many games of the same genre, some time investment is required to understand how the game works in action, but this can also be very rewarding. The game also has various tutorials in-game to guide you through.

Siege has an active playerbase of those who want to take it easy and those who love a challenge, anyone is welcome to try the game out.

In the video game world, there are games that get the most attention to the public and some games sold 6 million, 10 million or 20 million copies to the public. But there are games that get less attention to the public eye.

Not Baldur's Gate 3, Elden Ring, The Witcher 3, etc.

I'm referring to Palworld and Helldivers 2 in this year.

Welp, both games are getting the hype today.

I like those two games. And I won't do a review them.

I've seen people were playing Titanfall 2 to this day and how the game wasn't popular back then. I wouldn't mind if that game was popular, while the amount of shooter games was oversaturated back in 2016 and 2017. Many people had noticed and played Overwatch, COD Infinite Warfare, Rainbow Six Siege, PUBG, Destiny and Battlefield 1.

Despite Titanfall 2 sold not big numbers of copies back in 2016, I still love Titanfall 2, but it's not for everyone.

I'm sure that not every game was made for you. If you bought a game on Steam and you didn't like it for the first 1 hour, you could refund it.

It's easier said than done, but if you're on PC, you can pirate a single-player game and see if that's your vibe. You can't do that on consoles, unless you find a way to download softwares to play an older game.

I could say yes. I played Skyrim in early 2012 and I liked it. I'm biased towards science fiction, but I appreciate any game that's fantasy.

I had a nice affair with a male Argonian in my journey of the game.

I don't know if Helldivers 2 would be the GOTY in 2024, I don't have big expectations of it.

Omg, I know crazy, she was the first one to be redrawn before Hans would even be redrawn, but I was playing Rainbow Six Siege and I saw the AFAB operators and was constantly thinking about her as she is also a super tomboyish / Masc, even in her first ref she was more supposed to be on the Tomboy spectrum.

Her lore is definitely something I would rewrite, as it was a little too dark, like yeah her being bitter makes sense, she has only been on track for 10 years which was very short-lived and then she was also super mutated due to her, and her sister is just two experimental engines that often suffered from technical issues.

For example, Anja suffers from Anisocria, which Hans also has, they do not really suffer from it, it just can be very distressing as many do not understand that anisocoria within engines is more common as most steam engines stand around and the eyes of steam engines are used to frequent light changes, which when they frequently run is no issue, however, if they just stop working on the other day it can happen that one pupil might slow down with translating the light, and just stops moving all together and gets stuck in place. But it does not affect any operations steam engines might do afterward.

It resides in 20% of all steam engines.
