There's something so visceral about The Blue Eyed Samurai that really resonated with my identity as someone non-binary, aromantic and asexual.

It feels very genuine in its expression of the experience of a purpose outside romance and love, despite how much everyone insists those are the only options.

Allowing their assigned gender to dictate their life experience is just not an option.

A moment, brief and bitter, where Mizu forces themself to play the role they was born into and trying to find their peace in it, even succeeding in those momentary joys.

But as always, those moments are tainted by dissatisfaction, knowing that that life, that future was not made for them. Or rather they were not made for it.

No room for love or romance, no craving for power or money.

In the moments where carnal instincts could take precedence they will turn their head away as many times as it takes.

They will find their peace in nature, in the sound of crashing waves and soft breezes, make physical contact only when it truly matters. Mizu will never waver. They will never look back.

My body will not dictate the life I choose to lead. It will not sway me from my purpose. I see myself in that.

Well week 2 of drawing is behind Us. Split the picture in 2 parts that both have different methods of blending the scanned sketches with background- input on which looks better would be super appreciated.

► Sketches: 2.1- NPC from my dnd rpg campaign- a head of a nun with hands held in prayer. Surprisingly I feel like hands are the best part of this one. Head shape was bad here. 2.2- A back wall of cathedral during a ritual- said nun NPC standing in front of partially broken stained glass performing a ritual. The bloodlink looks good enough. There is no 2.3- I returned late from work and did not have energy to draw. I did 2 sketches day 4 to compensate. 2.4a- Sans, Undertale- looks decent enough, head/eye shape could use more work when I revisit this. 2.4- Pinkie Pie, My Little Pony- Head is… uncanny, I hate. There is a revisit in week 3 that looks better. Tried giving her a different body type. She is a glutton working in bakery basically, I feel it's inevitable that she puts on some weight. 2.5- Twilight Sparkle, MLP- It's basic and non offensive. For both her and Rarity I got too on model. Next time i will try to remember to include fantasy unicorn goatees and tails in an effort to not make whole mane6 look copy-pasted but to give them some personality and my own twist. 2.6- Fluttershy, MLP- Again non offensive, but body is to barrel-y? Long legs and neck, because if I remember correctly at some point she herself said she is built like supermodel. Also I always pictured Flutter as thin and tall. 2.7- Rarity, MLP. Rar doing Jacko-O pose. Some face finally looking good, but to on model. See comment about Twilight.

► Musings Mood still sitting on a swing on daily basis, but maybe a bit better. Work has been less demanding this week, so that is probably making me feel better. Still constantly tired though. Binged Dragon HRT @ https://www.tumblr.com/ayviedoesthings last weekend- it's good, gave me feels and I cried in bed until 3am thinking about it. But I would lie if I said I fully got the ending. So many questions. If thematics is something You're interested in I recommend giving it a read.
