Sorry Tv show, but the radio play is superior

I got an idea in my head while listening to an extremely nineties playlist in my workplace and I couldn't get it out of my head (for extra context for ineffable reasons I set this in the Radio Omens universe because that does not get enough love and I am so here for Peter Serafinowicz Crowley)

Crowley nodded at the radio that was, entirely against Aziraphale's will, playing The Greatest Hits of the Nineties throughout the bookshop. "I invented line dancing, you know."

Aziraphale, who had some very interesting first editions from the 1880s to look over, sighed. "Did you?"

"Yes. Middle aged women leaving their children alone to go out in the evening to put their backs out in village halls. Brilliant. My medal from Hell must've got lost in the post for that one."

"I really don't think the origin of line dancing is village halls in Britain in the 1990s, and I think you know--"

"Shush. Isn't it brilliant? A dance it's impossible to do well. Look." Crowley pushed a chair aside needlessly aggressively, and started to march sideways between the bookshelves, clapping his hands dramatically and doing a little leg kick that knocked over a pile of books on the floor.

"I am begging you to stop. Please. You're making a mess, and that's not even what line dancing is, and--"

"Alright then, clever clogs. Up you get." Crowley grabbed Aziraphale by both hands and pulled him out of his chair. "Show me how it's done, come on."

The angel sighed. Once Crowley got an idea in his head it was much easier just to go along with it, otherwise he was going to be making excuses to not line dance hundreds of years after the last human had ever considered it. Some things just weren't worth digging your heels in about. "Well first of all you need to put your feet like this..."

"I was lying, wasn't I. Your people invented this, didn't they?" Crowley laughed, trying to focus on getting his feet to copy Aziraphale's. Oddly enough the angel was making less of a mess of it than he was. "Did you invent this?"

this is an obscure one but I wanted to share one of my favourite TV shows because it's vaguely Good Omens related.

so. there's this show called Look Around You. and it is one of the most deadpan comedy shows I have ever seen. series one is an Open University send up, educating you about a variety of things such as calcium, or ghosts, and series two is a parody of Tomorrow's World, showing off all sorts of modern things that will probably be big in the future. it's absolute utter nonsense.

why am I telling you this? because it's written by, and stars, Peter Serafinowicz, or as some of you know him, Radio Omens Crowley. and it's exactly the sort of thing Crowley would have a hand in. complete gibberish disguised as education. so. worth a watch for that alone I reckon.

I know it's available on iPlayer in the UK and there's clips on YouTube and it got released on DVD. warning: season 2, I think just the last episode, features some mild early 2000s typical transphobia, which as a trans person I'm okay with, largely because Serafinowicz was the first person to cut ties with his brother-in-law Graham Lineham over his transphobia and clearly now wouldn't stand for any of it. but also best to be aware so you can make your own choices.
