The brilliant thing about Farscape is that when it's doing a "ship is broken, can't go anywhere" episode, you're not just worried about the characters on the ship, you're also worried about the ship as a character. That emotional investment does wonders for upping the stakes, it must be said.

The wonderful Rachel characterization just never ends I am eating SO GOOD. She tells Cassie not to look and comforts both her and Tobias physically when Elfangor gets eaten by the absolute fucking Unit Visser Three turns into. “I guess you never really know someone till you see them scared. And even scared to death, with tears running down her face, Rachel had strength to spare.” I bet she has a million complexes about being strong and independent and confident, and I bet half of them come from her actually being all three of those things. I can’t believe younger Junk didn’t pay more attention to Rachel the first time around

Ok so I love Rachel with all my heart, her perspective is amazing.

Her scaring the creeper off.

Her righteous fury at Melissa's situation, as well as her guilt that she only noticed and cared for their own benefit.

Small animals continue to be immensely horrifying.

Also, currently in tears, because God did Chapman resisting for his daughter's sake get my ass.

These are so fucking good?

Like. Genuinely the writing does such a good job at getting you in each character's headspace, and everyone feels so fleshed out and real. Also there's just this, pervasive feeling of doom that's an undercurrent through everything, even when we're not in a fight or stealth scenario.
