The important people in our lives leave imprints. They may stay or go in the physical realm, but they are always there in your heart, because they helped form your heart. There's no getting over that.

Mind the Gap, Dash & Lily by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ Rating: 3 out of 5. What It’s About: In Mind the Gap, Dash & Lily, we find that our favorite pair are in a good place. Things are finally looking good for the couple, that is until Dash announces that he won’t be coming home for…

Book Review: Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares (Dash & Lily #1) by: David Levithan and Rachel Cohn
You think fairy tales are only for girls? Here’s a hint – ask yourself who wrote them. I assure you, it wasn’t just the women. It’s the great male fantasy – all it takes is one dance to know that she’s the one. All it takes is the sound of her song from the tower, or a look at her sleeping face. And right away you know – this is the girl in your head, sleeping or dancing or singing in front of…

I loved the book. For me, it was way better than the Netflix series.

🎄dash and lily’s book of dares🎄
unfortunately I think this is one of those rare occasions when the movie is actually better than the book.
I watched Dash and Lily on Netflix this past Christmas and loved it!! It was so cute and light and the dynamic between Dash and Lily was hard not to love, so I decided to pick up the book. The book has these elements has well but the story seems to lose momentum at the end, it wasn’t at all as dramatic or captivating as the ending of the show was. I think this is why Netflix chose to stay true to the book in the first couple episodes, but starts to go in its own direction for the last ones.

I think all fiction readers know the pain of really liking an author’s work but also really hating it at the same time and landing on “voraciously reading everything they write but also hating the author’s guts” and it just fully hit me what Shen Yuan must be experiencing
