We’re Getting Closer!

Thanks to the wonderful people who have helped me with my journey thus far, I have reached 22% of my goal! I will be purchasing my first set of tickets (for training) this week–if the price is right. I have been tracking flight prices for a month now and so I’m looking for that magic number.

On another hand, Bermudians are known for their hospitality and another First Mate volunteer has generously offered me accommodation for my whole volunteer trip. This new housing situation is much better than what I had planned before. I am now extremely close to the America’s Cup Village and it will be wonderful to stay in one place the whole time, instead of switching places mid-stay.

Sailing season is starting soon and so will my 50/50 raffle! We are getting very close to my trip!

I had to submit a photo for my accreditation and venue passport and I think you can tell by my face, I’m beyond excited. I know that in the end, everything will work out. I can’t wait to share my experiences with everyone.

Racenight- A Night Of Fun, Thrilling And Unlimited Entertainment

Organizing a race night is quite fun and thrilling. People can expect a tremendous amount of fun through race nights.

A racenight is not only attended by a few people. It’s an event which can be participated and enjoyed by lots of people like 100 to 200. Therefore, organizing a race night is not child’s play and it’s impossible to organize within a forth night. It requires lots of planning, preparation and many volunteers. From contacting a race night organizer to managing the whole event, an event like racenight requires huge participation.

A race night organizer basically has all the equipments which are required to organize the complete event. The important equipments which are needed in the event are- the race night DVD, the screen, projector, audio system, tote calculator system etc. Besides these equipments there are important persons who play a vital role in making a race night successful. The important groups of people are- race night promotion manager, race night sponsor, race night event manager, master of ceremonies, tote ticket sellers, tote ticket pay out, projectionist and race night support staffs. Without all these people, it’s impossible to have a successful and fun race night. Any events whether it’s a race night or corporate event, does not run only by participators. We need all those people perform various duties and responsibilities throughout the event. In order to have a perfectly successful race night, different responsibilities should be distributed to different respective people.

Types of races at race nights

For people who only think that a race night is only about horse racing. Well, they are absolutely wrong. Other than the horse racing, there are races of pigs, snails and greyhounds as well. Therefore, besides horse racing, people are allowed to enjoy other races as well.

The half percentage of the money raised in the event goes to the charity fund for fund-raising. Therefore, race night is not only about fun and thrilling, it’s about noble cause as well.
