hey, went down a little bit of a rabbit hole here, but i found this image hosted on pinterest
Tumblr media
the tfwiki link is dead, but it was still titled Junkion-notLithoneA02(dot)jpg. which kinda struck me as interesting, i guess. lithone is the planet that is eaten by unicron in the movie. well, the OTHER planet he eats. and this guy looks a lot like kranix. so, anyway, i did a lot of searching online before i remembered. wait lol. i have a pdf the 'the ark' book, with all those g1 ref sheets. well, lo and behold!
Tumblr media
here they are. under the 'lithonians' page, along with this note:
Tumblr media
this may be what the image title is referring to? maybe they show up in one of these episodes as a background 'junkion'. chances are that the ref was colored by a fan though, probably whoever uploaded it to tfwiki in the first place.
what a mystery! mostly solved, i hope ^o^/
Okay, so I just have to ask because my research is doing nothing at this point
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Who the hell are these two Junkions and why can I only find them on the Transformers x Loud House wiki?
Legitimately, I can't find any screenshots of episodes they were in, no names, nothing, not even another website indicating their existence, NOT EVEN TFWIKI
If somebody could tell what these things are, or even if they appeared in the show, I'd appreciate it

There are a lot of advantages to self publishing over traditional publishing, To be a successful author, it needs hard work! Self publishing requires you to have knowledge of every aspect of the publishing process, like designing, formatting, and marketing. Platforms like Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing make self publishing accessible to everyone, but it can feel overwhelming to independent authors. What do you need to use Amazon KDP? What technical skills do we need to meet Amazon KDP requirements? How to promote our book? Here are seven tips and tricks to hack Amazon’s self publishing platform and be a successful author. 1. Make Your Book's Title and Description Perfect: Cute Rabbit Coloring book A good Amazon book title and description are important for your book to rank well on Seo. Your book description gives readers a taste and overview of your writing skills and tells them exactly what to expect when they buy your journal or planner . Your journal title and description should look professional. A poorly written description have huge impact on sales. Run your blurb through a grammar checker to check for mistakes and readability. Aim for a genre-appropriate, specific set of rich keywords. Cute Rabbit Coloring book We’ll talk more about keywords in the next section. Amazon will allow you to use HTML formatting on your descriptions, so get the benefit of this awesome feature. You will be able to organize your keywords. 2. Use long-tail keywords like Cute Rabbit Coloring book. One of the most important aspects to getting ranked on Amazon self publishing is the seven keyword boxes. They allow you to add up to forty-nine characters. A keyword is a word or phrase that people type into the top search box on Amazon to find a specific journal or planner... You need to focus on specific long-tail keywords. Instead of a broad, short-tail keyword, you might enter Cute Rabbit Coloring book (a specific long-tail keyword). You can research these using a keyword research tool like Google Keyword Planner Tool, hire an expert in KDP categories and keywords, or simply search for them manually by yourself. Look for keywords that give you only a few results, not thousands, to beat your competition. 3. Choose Extra Categories Amazon KDP has preset categories for books, and it’s hard to choose the best one for your work. When you upload your journal or planner interior, you can select two Amazon categories. Your book might fit into multiple categories. You can also increase your chances of being a bestseller in a category when you choose less competitive categories. A little secret : you can add additional categories with these simple tips : If you can call KDP customer service, KDP will allow you up to eight more categories, for a grand total of ten! 4. Purchase a High-Quality Designed Cover The first thing that Amazon visitors see is your book’s cover. A high quality cover can make a big difference and impact your sales numbers. There are a ton of elements that impact whether a book cover is engaging. Various classifications have different expectations. A basic cover does not take into account genre trends and expectations. A nonfiction book should not look like a kid's activity book or vice versa. Unless you’re an experienced graphic designer, avoid using tools offered by Amazon.
Find an experienced designer who is familiar with your theme and check their portfolio. Try to reach out to other authors for recommendations, or browse Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to find a freelance designer who works with other authors. 5. Emphasize covers and interior design. The quickest way to a one-star review is an ugly book cover or interior. When your print book format is a mess, Amazon's visitors will move on to the next competitor. Don’t gloss over this step. There is a lot of software, like Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator, that allows you to format your book and make it look professional. You can also outsource your formatting to an expert. In our case, the Cute Rabbit Coloring book is already formatted for KDP, so you will save a lot of time and money. 6. Adjust Prices for International Markets When you publish a journal or planner on Amazon KDP, make sure that you adjust the price accordingly .99 : This is a marketing psychology that works on any markets. If KDP adjusts the price automatically for other markets, You can manually change it to international prices, however. You can add a .99 to the end of each price for each currency. And keep your eyes on royalty rates. You should also monitor the pricing boundaries for 30% and 70% royalties for each currency. 7. Becoming an Affiliate for Your Own Book Promote affiliate links for your own book and earn 70% royalties! Use your Amazon affiliate link on social media, website links, and anywhere else you can think of. Your amazon affiliate link allows you to earn additional 4% on the selling price of your book. It seems like not much, but that additional 4% can add up quickly with enough sales. Keep in mind that you only get this income when someone buys through your affiliate Amazon link, not from Amazon's search box. Finally, make Amazon KDP your friend; Using tips and tricks like these can assist you in succeeding on Amazon KDP.

Tech Patterns, circa '98
(heads-up: this is long. I fell down a rabbit hole.)
Found a really cool vintage pattern while poking around Ebay (I’m ~1100 patterns in, it’s for a project, give me another month or two) and found this absolute banger of a pattern:
Tumblr media
Earth Rise by LORRAC designs, circa 1998. It says it’s part of their ‘Science & Technology Series’, and as soon as I saw it I knew I’d give my left and right thumbs to get to see what the rest of those look like-- we talking astronomy? Chemistry? CRT monitors and the shiny newfangled Windows 98?
A quick google brings up old listings or photos for three more astronomy patterns from the series (The Solar System, Moons of Saturn, and Jupiter), plus a single bit of technology: Anita at Cyberstitchers.com posted a photo of one of her finished LORRAC patterns back in 2004, and check it out! It slaps, too!
Tumblr media
It is so good! I’ve never seen a cross stitch pattern like it! I’ve been sorting through Santas and floral borders and Precious Moments Angels this whole project and this smashed computer feels life-changing. (of course, it’s also uh... probably 1am this is going down? once it hits 2:00 the tumblr ads will start looking pretty profound, too)
Googling doesn’t bring up any central collections, and the only contact info on Earth Rise is a residential address in Louisiana (not even an artist’s name!). Doesn’t help that most of the photos are pretty bad-- heck, the computer one’s almost old enough to vote-- but the pic for Moons of Saturn is legible, and it’s got something new at the bottom: a website address.
http://www.neosoft.com/~cac/ doesn’t go much of anywhere anymore, but pop it in the Wayback machine, and---
Tumblr media
We are golden!! And they even archived the gif of a cute little dog!
From this archive snapshot I’m able to slide forward all the way up to 2003 and their second website, lorracdesigns.com-- still only exists in the archive, and not all the images work, but the ones they have are magnificent.
And there are a LOT of technology ones.
Guys gals and pals, feast your eyes on Office Beanies:
Tumblr media
You Have MAIL!!
Tumblr media
WWW Logo (”Show the world that you are a Web Surfer with this WWW logo. Finish it as a magnet or pin and display it proudly.” heck yeah I would! I am a web surfer!)
Tumblr media
Computer Kid
Tumblr media
Evil Computer
Tumblr media
and my absolute favorite, Please Logoff:
Tumblr media
…and this last one’s a freebie, too! The PDF download is long gone, but the list of floss colors is still up. Between this image and the list I should be able to reconstruct the pattern... so wish me luck! 🤞
Only one mystery remains, then... who was the artist behind LORRAC? I can’t find a name anywhere, not on the whole site. I wonder who they were, what they were like-- they made some really funny and unique patterns, and beautiful ones, too. The pattern themes make me think that the artist was a young adult then, twenty years ago, so odds are that they’re still out there stitching somewhere. I wish I could tell them how much I like their old art. But hey, that’s the internet for you. 🥂
Anyway if you’d like to check out some really unique patterns and also feel nostalgic for the ancient internet, the LORRAC site archive is here. While exploring I also found a fully-intact Angelfire page listing dozens of other cross-stitch sites from the same era-- some may still be up, others might be archived, either way: if you need a rabbit hole, check them out! :)

The Gift: How the Creative Spirit Transforms the World
by Lewis Hyde
Introduction | pdf
Forward by Margaret Atwood | pdf
The Gift is a brilliant, life-changing defense of the value of creative labor. Drawing on examples from folklore and literature, history and tribal customs, economics and modern copyright law, Lewis Hyde demonstrates how our society—governed by the marketplace—is poorly equipped to determine the worth of artists' work.
Short Review: "Life changer. Must read." — embyr, sobbing into her pillow, probably.
Long Review: This is a book I put off reading for too long, and it shows. The Gift begins with the basic premise that art is a gift, not a commodity. But, as we live in a society dominated by the market economy, there are constant attempts to commoditize art. As it turns out, though, the closer art pushes toward a commodity, the less of a gift it becomes, until it isn't recognizable as art at all. Thus, artists of all sorts are caught in this awkward push and pull between that deep reach into the soul from which they might pull out handfuls of words or colors—that unknowable bestowal of inspiration from some otherworldly place—that is the creative process, and the basic need to eat.
Even for those of us who have never thought of trying to make a living off our art, there is a tendency to view our creations as commodities if we aren't remarkably careful, and measure their value as we would marketplace commodities: in likes, reblogs, kudos, followers, and so on, as though they were dollars and cents and sales figures. But, as The Gift makes abundantly clear, works of art are gifts that can't be measured in such pedestrian currencies:
"Even if we have paid a fee at the door of the museum or concert hall, when we are touched by a work of art something comes to us which has nothing to do with the price... When we are moved by art we are grateful that the artist lived, grateful that he labored in the service of his gifts."
All of this is covered in much more elegant detail in the book's introduction, linked above.
The Gift proceeds to tackle this predicament in two distinct sections, the first half a series of ethnography, folklore, and anecdotes that examine the nature of a gift and gift exchange (and thus, the creative spirit), and the second half a study of the work and lives of two poets, Walt Whitman and Ezra Pound.
I will add one caveat here, which is that the book is extremely long-winded. Not a chapter went by where I didn't feel sure, somewhere abouts halfway through, that I was being led down an incredibly deep rabbit hole of anthropological tangent or medieval tax law history that was bound to have no point and no relationship to art or the plight of the artist at all. Somehow it always came back around, shocking and illuminating as a bolt of lightning (though, to cite just one example, sometimes didn't have its resolution until some 60 pages later). That having been said, though I feel very deeply that everything The Gift has to say could have been said in half as many words, I'm not sure which passages I would cut. Perhaps being mired in it for nearly 400 pages is part of the process.
And by process, I'm referring to the changes I underwent personally (but that I suspect aren't unique). My view towards art and its inherent worth—my own art, yours, everybody's—has fundamentally shifted. And it seems to me that that's what the book is about: not about telling anyone how they ought to make their art or how to navigate making a living by their art, but about reeducating ourselves and reshaping our attitudes about the nature of the gift, gift exchange, and the creative spirit. It's a genuine, inward-looking, healing experience. And it equips you to create, undisturbed and unobstructed, for as long as you have the gift in you: "The gift we long for, the gift that, when it comes, speaks commandingly to the soul and irresistibly moves us."
"If you want to write, paint, sing, compose, act, or make films," Margaret Atwood says in her foreword, "read The Gift. It will help to keep you sane."

Ryuu to Sobakasu no Hime (Belle) Novel | English Translation | Chapter 1
Tumblr media
**This is a machine translation. I put it together by extracting text page-by-page from a .pdf version of the Japanese novel, and running it through Google translate. I have only minorly edited some of the more confusing lines to make it more read-able. It is still a very rough translation, but it’s good enough to understand what’s going on. If there is anyone out there who wants to properly translate the novel, I am more than happy to edit it, if you’ll contact me.**
---------------------------------------------
Ryuu to Sobakasu Hime (The Dragon and the Freckled Princess)
In the world of U, Belle met a dragon with a wound on his back.
“Who are you?”
Chapter 1: Invitation
A white line emerges in the darkness.
It slowly approaches. What is this line?
It gradually becomes clear. It's a series of units with intricate details. They are lined up regularly and repeatedly, like cells seen under a microscope.
Cells?
No, it's a "city".
This is a mysterious megacity called "U".
Created by the five wise men, the "Voices" who control the intellect of this world,
U is the ultimate virtual world.
The largest Internet space in history, which has surpassed 5 billion accounts worldwide and continues to expand.
You haven't played "U" yet.
It is displayed opposite to the shaped figure.
"We are investigating various shapes of U particles to embody this ethos, similar to the differences and peculiarities of each person in the world."
“Much like the difference and particularity that makes each individual in the world unique, this explores a variety of different shaped U particles to embody this ethos......"
One of the innumerable U particles is determined.
Authentication is complete.
"Welcome to the world of 'U'.”
U particles pop out from a myriad of smartphone-shaped windows.
Welcome to the world of U.
It's you, authenticated.
The U particle instantly turned into a pretty rabbit-shaped girl.
The announcement echoes.
"'U' uses the latest body-sharing technology so that everyone can relax, gather and enjoy."
Here, the avatar is referred to as "Az" (Az = Autonomous self).
Autonomous self. Az is your alter ego in "U".
The best AI that "U" is proud of is your Az.
Perform automatic generation.
U particles that also logged in are generated one after another in Az and fly from the window.
You can see it popping out.
Your Az - that is, a lovely girl with white, fluffy ears popping out of her sleek hat, descends like skydiving with your first friends.
The sea of clouds, which had filled the field of vision, suddenly opened.
The brilliance of the skyscraper town reflected by the light of the twilight.
You will instinctively yell out in admiration.
The elaborately constructed geometric skyscrapers have no top and bottom, no left and right, and are layered on top of each other, creating an overwhelming evening view that has never been seen before.
A gorgeous shopping mall. Release that left the company while it was still bright in the evening
In the feeling, wander around Fifth Avenue, Champs Elysees, or Ginza.
It's such fun. Az dressed in colorful costumes are like a Venetian costume ball, and it's fun just to look at them. Graphical pieces of florets are spinning and floating like confetti. When you pick up one of them and smell the scent, a refreshing young scent lurks in the gorgeous and sensual. Perfect for the view of this city. You suddenly look up at the heavens while swimming like a bird on the rippling boulevard. Even in places that should be empty, upside-down skyscrapers are so crowded that they look like they are about to fall. There is a huge park that looks like a hollowed-out skyscraper town, and you can look down on the Az who play with it.
Is there a city that makes you feel so free?
You realize without a doubt, this is the center of the world.
The moon can be seen in the gaps between skyscrapers.
The announcement echoes.
<< "U" is another reality >>
《Az is another you》
<< Here is everything >>
The crescent moon that draws an arc below seems to be in the shape of a "U".
<< Reality cannot be redone. But if it's "U", you can start over. >>
<< Now, let's live another you. >>
《Now, let ’s start a new life》
"Now, let's change the world."
Suddenly, the noise of the city was cut off.
It's a song.
Someone is singing.
Where do you hear it? Many Az try to find the voice of the singer.
I'm turning. You, too, listen.
The song is magnificent and delicate. Intimate and powerful.
I'm drawn in unintentionally.
"Over there!"
Someone shouted. The line of sight of many Az gathers at one point.
A whale.
A huge whale dressed up with countless speakers is swimming leisurely between the upside-down buildings. At the tip of his nose, a small figure in a crimson dress can be seen. The song seems to come from there. The whale makes a roaring sound from the countless speakers it wears. She stands on the tip of the whale's nose and sings with an overwhelming voice that is comparable to the sound pressure of the whale’s roaring. What looked like a crimson dress was a flower dress made up of various types of red, such as dahlia, gerbera, and echinacea. She has unrealistically long pink hair. Blue eyes as deep as the sea. A beautiful woman.
And on her cheeks, there are freckles that look like they are engraved.
"Belle!" "Belle!"
The Az looked up at her and called her name from their mouths.
Her name is "Belle."
Lalalai Lalalai Running through a nameless time Unbeknown to anybody To reach that crescent moon Lalalai Lalalai Want to get to know you No matter how many times I awake Feeling like I can't even make a sound
"Belle!" "Belle!" "Belle!"
You are among the wide variety of Az who call her name. I knew it. Unknowingly singing Belle's song. She turns her face and smiles in response to the cheers. For a moment you feel like her eyes meet you and your chest squeezes. Once you see her, you'll be attracted to her and you can't take your eyes off her anymore. You're already captivated by her, even though you've just met her.
"Belle!" "Belle!" "Belle!" "Belle!"
Belle crossed her hand in front of her chest and spread it all at once.
At the same time, graphical flowers were emitted all at once from her body.
The flowers spread all over the city from the top of the whale that swims leisurely. Belle sings loudly, as if to bless every person, every event, every life. Who the hell is Belle?

Magical Monday: Return To Pern (Crash)
So! Last week I linked you guys a silly little “dragons and Frasier” fanfic series I found on AO3, and mentioned that it had reignited my love for those delightful little creatures known as Pernese fire lizards! And then I thought, “hey, I haven’t actually TALKED about fire lizards or my Pern Crash AU in a while, have I?” Not since mid-2016, according to the relevant tags. So! Here’s a few links to help those of you who weren’t around then catch up:
Where it all began: Forgotten Vows gets a fire lizard! This was basically my introduction to fire lizards and Pern in general -- I saw the Nest of Eggs Meme on Dreamwidth and thought, "Holy crap, someone's giving away dragons?!" So I threw the DW version of Forgotten at it and got "a relaxed, lazy and gentle silver male fire lizard." (Nest O'Flitts, the journal that did the meme, does noncanon colors, and everything's decided by dice rolls -- I had no choice in the matter.) I wanted to know more about his new pet, so I read all the information available on Nest O'Flitts, then started Googling. . .
Aaand ended up a little obsessed. XD What can I say -- they're adorable and I love them. XD (Also they avoid some of the more -- problematic things I noticed with the books focused on the dragons. Not a big fan of how sex is handled, at least when it comes to mating flights. . .) The linked post lists most of the information I came up with for deciding how big fire lizards, in both canonical and non-canonical colors, should get, along with some notes on behavior and links to other references -- the Anne McCaffrey Fans link for sizes no longer works, but the Firelizard Biology and Behavior one does! Warning, though, it's a direct PDF link. Still an excellent read!
Pern Crash: Okay, so I apparently never did a proper write-up of this AU on my own blog, so you’ll have to rely on my RP blog’s page on it for the details: Things You Need To Know About: Pern Crash The most pertinent points are:
Fire lizards are a common part of life in England in this AU thanks to them accidentally being taken to Earth in a weird betweening accident; magic is also more commonly known
Victor gets in extra trouble with everyone for the Emily incident because necromancy is illegal thanks to corpse-puppet shenanigans earlier in the timeline; to the point where he is disowned by his parents once Victoria makes the decision not to marry him (not because of the illegal necromancy, but because she’s not sure how she feels about him anymore)
Victor Impresses Moonlight after finding his abandoned egg, and moves to London to take a job as a clerk for Radcliffe, where he meets Alice; he later gets a job as dogsbody for Bumby after he reveals to Alice Radcliffe’s been stealing from her inheritance and gets himself fired
Alice has a magical tattoo given to her in Rutledge that, thanks to sloppy spellcasting, allows her to accidentally project her hallucinations into people’s minds via skin-to-skin contact; this leads to some shenanigans when she slips back into Wonderland and Victor and Moonlight are trying to find her
Victor manages to successfully get his hands on Bumby’s journal while helping Alice and turns it over to the police with Alice once she’s sorted out Wonderland -- the psychiatrist still gets shoved in front of a train though :p
Victor and Alice get together in the aftermath, and Alice gets two fire lizards of her own -- a white named Snowflake and a black named Sooty; Moonlight and Sooty later mate, and Victor adopts one of the resulting hatchlings, a blue he calls Skyfall
Looking back at it these days, I’d actually like to change things up so Alice gets Snowflake earlier -- I have the idea of her getting the little flitt while in the asylum (Dr. Wilson takes her to a Hatching, or a Hatching to her, hoping to provoke a response -- he gets it when she cracks open an egg that wouldn’t hatch and Impresses the runt white within). I also don’t know if I’d do the whole “magical tattoo” thing. . .I dunno, we’ll see if and when I edit any of this.
Yes I Wrote Fic: I -- actually wrote a LOT more fic than I remembered. O.o I was more into this universe than I first thought. . . Anyway, here are the fics, in in-universe chronological order (I posted a few of them out-of-order):
The Finding: Victor finds Moonlight’s egg among the remains of his dead fair, and manages to Impress the little flitt
The Naming: Victor brings the fire lizard home, and comes up with his name
The Split: Nell starts talking about how maybe they were hasty in disowning Victor, and Victor realizes she's simply angling to use his fire lizard to get some status, leading to him disowning them right back and leaving
First Meeting: as you might expect, the first time Alice met Victor, as they both prepare to enter Radcliffe's -- Victor for his job, Alice to demand back her rabbit
Not So Helpless: a furious Victor confronts Radcliffe, telling Alice that he's been stealing from her; her resultant fit of rage makes him re-evaluate his first impression of her
Aftermath of Radcliffe: Alice feels the need to apologize to Victor for losing him his job in the aftermath of the both of them getting ejected from Radcliffe's house. Victor assures her it's fine, and talk ends up turning toward why he's in London in the first place
Can You Feel It?: a quick scene with Alice asking Victor if he can feel it while she's petting Moonlight
Suddenly, Samurai!: Victor and Moonlight are both searching for Alice after she has her A:MR break with reality; Victor runs into Victoria on his journey, while Moonlight manages to track down Alice herself. Unfortunately, she happens to be navigating the Mysterious East at the moment, leading to a weird interruption to Victor's conversation when Moonlight tries to get her attention by touching her. . .
Welcome To Cardbridge: Victor and Moonlight track down Alice while she's in the middle of her Cardbridge visit, and Victor gets a more direct look at Wonderland thanks from trying to save her from a drop
Confessions: Everything's wrapping up with Bumby and his mess, so Victor feels it's time to finally make a certain confession. . .
Meet Snowflake: Alice gets her first fire lizard, Snowflake, from a seller who offers her an egg that didn't hatch for free if she can get it open. . .
The Flight: Victor and Alice go through Sooty's first mating flight -- and get a surprise in who's flying her. . .
Next Generation: Victor and Alice welcome Victor's second little flitt, the son of Moonlight and Sooty's mating flight
Whew! Maybe I’ll leave well enough alone with this AU -- that was a LOT to get through! And I still haven’t even mentioned my OTHER Pern-related AU idea. . .

The mapping might be in only one direction (eg. These approaches are either direct or indirect relationships.Ī direct relationship has some formula or mapping that translates between a pitch and a color. Many approaches to the Sound-Color relationship have been explored over the centuries. Some colors produced by a computer screen do not appear in the visible light spectrum. Note that not all colors can be represented in every system. In this system, it is typical to give a single number - the frequency of the electromagnetic radiation - when specifying the color. Another method for specifying colors is to use the visble colors we can see in the electromagnetic spectrum - the colors of light that we see in a rainbow. These systems often have multiple components, such as the Red-Green-Blue systems used in Cathode Ray Tube displays. The various systems, called color models, are often related to the practical aspects of displaying colors on display screens or printers.
How are the colors being represented or specified?.
A musical interval such as a minor third or a perfect fifth.
This is often translated into pitch based on some pitch standardĪnd tuning system (typically a pitch standard of A=440 or A=432 and a tuning system ofġ2-TET or some just-intoned tuning system).
The fundamental (lowest) frequency component of the sound.
The vowel that is used by people who are doing vocal toning.
What apsect of sound are we dealing with?Īspects of sound have been connected with color include:.
Two basic questions need to be addressed when connecting sound with color: While “frequency” is a measure commonly used for both compression and electromagnetic waves, the two types of waves have substantial differences.ĭespite these challenges, the Sound⇔Color link has been reported to be potentially useful in many contexts including the treatment of synethesia, music education, meditation practices, and therapeutic music making. Light (and hence color) is based on an electromagnetic wave. Sound is based on vibrations of air molecules as a moving compression wave. Please realize that the vibrations of sound and light are very different. However, before diving too far down this particular rabbit hole topic, This page delves into consonant relationships between sound and color and and provides a tool to let you explore their relationship. And, even though the sounds we can hear have a much lower frequency than light that is visible to us, there is a range of sound frequencies that have corresponding consonant colors. Sound and light share the fundamental nature of vibration.

1. Make Your Book's Title and Description Perfect: Rabbit Coloring Book A good Amazon book title and description are important for your book to rank well on Seo. Rabbit Coloring Book We’ll talk more about keywords in the next section. Amazon will allow you to use HTML formatting on your descriptions, so get the benefit of this awesome feature. You will be able to organize your keywords. 2. Use long-tail keywords like Rabbit Coloring Book. Instead of a broad, short-tail keyword, you might enter Rabbit Coloring Book (a specific long-tail keyword).
In our case, the Rabbit Coloring Book is already formatted for KDP, so you will save a lot of time and money. Finally, make Amazon KDP your friend; Using tips and tricks like these can assist you in succeeding on Amazon KDP.

tried & tested by yours truly, these are the chrome extensions I couldn’t live without as a college student! in my opinion, studying in chrome without these extensions is like...trying to run without shoes on. sure, it can be done, but it’s just uncomfortable and not as great as it could be. I am always looking for more extensions that give me the illusion of having my life together — so please reply with your recommendations, I’d love to check them out :)
*bolded are my #1 favorites!!*
new tab —
COMMITTED: my preferred new tab! I love this one because it is basically a super simple and intuitive to-do list in a convenient location. you can set recurring tasks that will appear on their assigned days, and also list deadlines next to certain tasks if you so choose. pro tip: the developer is planning to start charging for this extension, so install it now while it’s free!
MOMENTUM: beautiful and functional, it’s no surprise that this is the most popular new tab among studyblrs. perfect for a breath of fresh air every time you open a new tab. includes the time, weather, a to-do list, a motivational quote, a beautiful background landscape that changes every day, and a space to write your goal for the day.
LAGOM: even simpler than Momentum with its grayscale color scheme and the fact that it only features the time, date, weather, and search bar. although this doesn’t provide it a lot of material to work with, it keeps things fresh by changing up the design daily. this is ideal if you’re a true minimalist who doesn’t like an overwhelming new tab.
tab organization —
TOBY MINI: really useful widget for organizing and saving your open tabs. if you’re like me and you often get lost in the mire of tabs you have created, this is a game-changer. It’s basically like a bookmarking system, but more streamlined, easier to use, (cuter), and it closes a tab for you once you save it in a collection, thus decluttering your workspace! refer back to your collections of tabs by opening the widget from your toolbar, e z p z.
sticky notes & highlighters—
OURSTICKYS: i have literally always dreamed of sticky notes that stay static on a webpage and remain there even after closing the page and coming back to it later...so this extension is, quite literally, a dream come true. you can change the color of your sticky notes, the font, the size, and you can have as many as you want!! the widget will keep a record of all the pages you have stickies on, so don’t worry about losing your little buddies. god i love sticky notes.
STICKY NOTES: since i love sticky notes, i use two different sticky notes extensions! but the difference is that this is basically functions as an open notebook. surf through as many pages as you like and write down notes in the same place without having to navigate to a different webpage. this little widget will be your constant companion. tbh this extension demonstrates more consistency and trustworthiness than any boy i’ve ever dated.
LUMIO: an total game-changer. an absolute baller. fuckin superb. this is the highlight extension to end all other highlight extensions. highlight your phrase in question, and the yellow Lumio icon conveniently pops up beside your selection. once you click that, your highlight is saved to the Lumio widget. this will also display all the other highlights you make on that page in one place, as well as giving you the option to add notes to a highlight or save it to a collection. uh, yeah, Lumio is that bitch.
SUPER SIMPLE HIGHLIGHTER: however Lumio has one fatal flaw...you can’t change the color of the highlights on a webpage. in the case that you highlight for the visual contrast, i recommend the Super Simple Highlighter. just as the name suggests, highlight your chosen phrase, right-click, and select the color you would like to highlight it. it will remember the highlights you have made on a certain webpage and keeps them easily accessible in the widget every time you’re on that page, so...yes I concede, Super Simple Highlighter is also that bitch.
pdf annotation —
KAMI: e s s e n t i a l if you ever have to interact with pdfs. with kami, you can view, annotate, highlight, sign, and save pdfs to your google drive! I’ve found that it’s better than other pdf annotating extensions because it can read scans, which are notoriously difficult to interact with digitally, and it lets me search terms and highlight on them. basically, kami is a pdf conquerer.
timers & website blockers —
FOREST: although i didn’t believe in Forest at first, it eventually grew on me (cue drum kit). this is funny because Forest encourages you to focus on the task at hand for a specific amount of time by growing a little tree. a little tree that will die if you wander on to a site on the blacklist (in whitelist mode, it will die if you wander off the sites on the whitelist), thus metaphorically killing your focus. I personally use Forest because guilt tripping tends to work on me and I also think that little tree is soo cute!!
STAYFOCUSD: if positive reinforcement a.k.a guilt tripping isn’t enough to enforce some self control, I highly recommend StayFocusd. put any website you tend to waste time on, from a specific page to an entire domain, on your blacklist and set an allotted time per day. once that time is up, that sucker is blocked until your chosen reset time (midnight is default). there’s even an option to make you do a puzzle before you can access your settings, in case you are easily tempted to change them!
NOISLI: creates ambient noise for your study session needs. whether you like the ambience of a crowded cafe, rainy weather, a crackling fire, a rumbling train, or a specific combination of all of the above, Noisli does the job well. it offers sixteen different ambient settings to choose from, so have fun creating your own mixes (which you can save and listen to again and again, of course).
research & writing —
GOOGLE SCHOLAR: everybody searches for sources on google scholar at some point, so make it easier by condensing the webpage into a nice little pop-up widget! makes it super easy to search google scholar without leaving the webpage you’re currently on.
CITE THIS FOR ME: as someone who hates citing her own sources, a bibliography extension is kind of a necessity for me. it kinda sucks that you have to make an account and enable ads in order to save your sources on this one, but it does work better and is less frustrating than other bibliography extensions out there (however it’ll still try to trick you into paying for a subscription—just close the tab folks!!)
ONE NOTE WEB CLIPPER: if you use Microsoft One Note (which you should b/c One Note is the bomb), this is a great way to save information from webpages into a One Note document without interrupting your research flow. you can save entire webpages/pdfs, or specific screenshots of a page, or just the link—all from a nice little pop up window on your toolbar. how lovely. how streamlined.
POWER THESAURUS: highlight a word, click the little blue button that pops up next to it, et voilà, you have all the synonyms and antonyms of the word you could ever ask for!
READING LIST: if you’re anything like me and you constantly stumble upon tons of articles that seem infinitely more interesting than what you’re supposed to be researching and then you end up going down the rabbit hole of whatever that’s about, consider Reading List! resist the temptation to procrastinate with another article by simply saving it for later with one click. more often than not, you’ll realize it wasn’t as interesting as it first seemed once you go back to actually read it. you’ll be glad you didn’t waste your time in the moment.
miscellaneous useful stuff —
ADBLOCK: if you don’t have it yet, baby what is you doin??
GOOGLE MAIL CHECKER: helpful little extenstion icon that displays the number of unread emails you have, so you can notice when you get a new one.
aaaand that’s it for my review of my favorite chrome extensions! as this is my first original studyblr post, please be merciful (lmao). hopefully in the future they won’t be this long & boring, but I do intend to continue creating informational content to help out my fellow students! as i mentioned earlier, please feel free to send me your own favorite chrome extensions—I literally install them left and right like nobody’s business, so please enable my addiction:)
