Her pale eyes flickered upwards at his voice. Feeling slightly awkward now that there wasn't much else to keep her mind occupied with. She still wasn't entirely sure why she had been selected to go along with Sasuke. Sure - diplomatic knowledge had been trained into her long before she could remember, being the ex-heiress of her own clan, that doesn't mean she had any real practice in it. Thankfully the mission seemed to have gone smoothly enough despite her nerves.

❝ Oh - I um. The inn . . . seems more crowded now. We must not . . . be the only ones . . . caught in the storm. ❞

An attempt to make idle conversation. With the snow being so heavy there wasn't much of a guarantee it would be safe to leave even after the storm had calmed down.

❝ Will it . . . be okay to return after the storm has died down? ❞

Her voice was soft and gentle much like she was. Not wanting the bother him too much with her questions or presence. Still finding the ordeal a bit awkward.

Maria didn't know much... but she loved exploring new things. Living in the city of New Casinopolis was like starting a whole new life and she was happy for the most part. She wished she could remember from before...

While working for Mayor Diamond, Maria had a few constant visitors like her cousin Julian and her new friend, Shadow. The black hedgehog, who Fiona had claimed had such an obtuse and cold personality. But he had been only patient and kind with her since they met that one day.

And here he was spending time at her home attempting a few new recipes from a cookbook she saved to buy. Maria was pretty excited and cooking seemed very fun!

She was mixing in the bowl gently for the bread and turned to chuckle a bit when she saw Shadow had some flour on his face and nose. Gently, she brushed it away with a soft smile.

       ❝ I think that's enough flour for the bread, Shadow. Can you help me mix this part next? ❞

  There’s a momentary silence as deep navy hues scan the other man who had casually been snacking on a sweet cupcake, brows slightly furrowing in confusion. “I need not ask, I can sense when a man lies,” Erica states affirmatively, as in, she didn’t recognize him among Uranos Corsica’s men. He didn’t smell like a Twilight, either. The enigma that radiated off of this one … almost made her uneasy. A seemingly dainty hand shifted to Dawnchaser’s hilt, as if ready to defend herself if she must. I … still have duties I must do.

 “I do not believe we have met.” she tells the other, her cold and analytical gaze never leaving his figure. Master wouldn’t like this one, with his enigmatic ways, just as he didn’t like anyone who tried to take her away from him. “Why are you here … at one of Corsica’s establishments?”the Twilight asks after eyeing her surroundings, the bright lights, the dancing girls, the smoking men. As far as Erica was concerned, they probably stood out from the rest of them, y’know… a man snacking on sweets and a lady with a sword and all.

joy.       easy smiles, fighting back grins, suppressed laughter, loud laughter, giggles, chuckling, smirks, whole body laughs, covers mouth when laughing, throws head back when laughing, slaps leg, touches people around them when laughing, looks down when laughing, looks for eye contact when laughing, sparkling eyes, bubbly happiness, quiet subtle happiness, obnoxious happiness, wants to spread joy, quietly savours joy.

Having Naoko had already been a dream, and expanding their little family had been something she'd been hoping to do for a while. The fact that her husband had brought it up now brought all those fuzzy feelings back. "I... I'd love nothing more than to have another. If you hadn't brought it up, I probably would have," Ino admitted, albeit a little shy about it.
