Okay, so my answer turned out to be really long, so I'm just gonna stuff it all under a cut. Also, second question first, cuz that's always fun.

📚 Is there a fanfic or fanfic writer you recommend?

The answer? Lots. I read a lot of fanfic (I'm a fast reader :) and I struggle with picking a favorite amongst things like books, movies, and fanfic. So, here's a (hopefully I can keep this) small list of awesome fanfics for both Amphibia and The Owl House that I absolutely recommend. Btw these are not in preferential order or anything, just a simple list.

A Witch in Wartwood by @discet. And, of course, I have to include the sequel An Alchemist Abroad.

A Valeween Night To Remember by QuirkQuartz on Ao3. Just amazing worldbuilding and writing

Of course, I had to include this one: Let's Get Some Strings on You by @runemyth0 (It was just so well-written and captivating, what can I say?)

this will be our last dance by @kaseyskat- truly a wonderful story, I've reread this like three times now, and every single time I come close to tears.

Lost and Found by @themissakat- one of the first fics I read on Ao3, and I loved every second of it.

Literally my first fic ever in either fandom and one I still follow to this day- The Owl and The Frog by ChampionElCid.

The Days Ahead by GeminiAlchemist: just all-around amazing, a good ending to a bad end AU, and well-written to boot.

77Xfire's The Fourth Light: One of the best crossover fics I've ever read.

Return to Amphibia by @thenightslayers-musings: an amazing fic about the aftermath of Amphibia, and what would happen if the girls managed to make it back.

Message in a Bottle by BSChocolatte is amazing, really moving, everything. I have no words.

in the glow of the vending machine by Anonymous- I just really love this one, I spent like an hour trying to find it after the first time I read it and forgot to bookmark it

And there's actually more, but that's literally all I can think of right now. Maybe I went a bit overboard, but you know what? It's all nice things anyway, so I kind of hope this makes some people happy.

❤️ What is your favorite line that you've written in a fic?

Okay, well, this was a really tough one. So tough that I had to go through like half my fic to find lines I loved enough to call them my favorites. In the end, the win goes to three lines- more like a tie, then? Anyway, after a small warning of very minor spoilers for later chapters-

Luz gasped in delight. "Backstory..." she whispered almost reverently. (Chapter 7) I just love this line because I feel like it really fits Luz as a character, plus it's just a really fun callback (or shoutout cuz it never really happened in this AU?) to Canon!Luz and literally every time she says she loves backstories.

Anne shrugged. "I don't question the strange laws of Amphibia." "Don't worry, I'll question them for you," Marcy said, already lost in thought. (Chapter 12) This is undoubtedly one of my favorite lines. It just encompasses the Marcy and Anne dynamic I'm trying to go for, not to mention it emphasizes their friendship? Man, I'm taking this way too seriously, I just really love this line. I debated separating them but they're definitely better together.

He scoffed, finally working his hands free of the rope bindings. “Whatever. Don’t listen to me. Who cares.” Give it two weeks and I’ll be out of here. (Chapter 16) Okay, so this chapter hasn't actually been published at the time of answering this question, lol. But I love this line so much I just had to include it, so here you go. Technically spoilers, but makes like no sense without context, so *shrug*

“Skara and Willow always knew where they stood. For years their relationship was simple; Skara stuck with Boscha, bullying the young Witch alongside her friend, and Willow tried to ignore them. It was simple. But one day, things change. Willow finds Skara at her weakest moment - It would have been easy to walk past her and pretend not to notice. But Willow doesn't.”

Me and my friend QuirkQuartz’s long running Skarlow fic! Currently up to 16 chapters and climbing!

Some One-Shots

Willow’s Lullaby:

“Hey, Skary.” The Bard felt herself melt at her girlfriend’s nickname for her. Any sense of apathy or even mild irritation immediately left her, like a ghost being excised from her body. (Skara would know. She had to have an exorcism herself. Twice.) She couldn’t tell which was sweeter; the naturally gentle, soothing sounds of Willow’s voice, the additional tinge of sleeplessness that acted as a cuteness amplifier, or the nickname itself, changing one letter to turn Skara’s dull name into a wonderful silly melody. Or maybe it was just Willow’s... everything.”

Skara wants to help her girlfriend at an untitan hour in the morning.

The fluffiest thing I think I could ever write honestly.

Dangerous Plants are Less Terrifying Then Apologizing:

Skara goes to the Plant Homeroom after school in an effort to apologize to Willow.

An attempt at writing a cannon-fitting scene where Skara apologizes to Willow, with some Skarlow implications because I like it, dang it! Takes place between 'Coven Day Parade' and 'Any Sport'.

Change of Pace:

“I wish we’d been friends years ago…”

“We’re friends?”

On a walk back from Flyer Derby practice, Skara and Willow grow closer.

See, this amuses me, because it’s implied MHA takes place a few centuries in the future, so this implies Mina is aware of at least 200 year old memes

Frankly I don’t think Izuku would have even the first clue what Mina is doing or what that even means. I imagine he’d just ask her, and then Mina would have to try and explain the meme to him and he has utterly no idea about any of it

who’s the cuddler: Setsuna!! She absolutely loves grabbing onto Itsuka and never letting her go. She is a very grabby person even platonically, so once they would start a romantic relationship this would only escalate.

who makes the bed: Itsuka makes the bed usually out of habit, although Setsuna does it from time to time as well if Itsuka forgets.

who wakes up first: Itsuka.

who has the weird taste in music: Setsuna has a really weird taste in music, although Itsuka finds it kind of charming? Her girlfriend likes blues and jazz, but like, really old blues (as BNHA is set in the future, that ‘old’ music is much more modern for us, haha)

who is more protective: They’re both fairly protective of one another, neither wanting to see the other get into harm’s way, and being willing to risk their own lives to make sure the other is safe. It’s why they sort of don’t do hero work together - it’d just get messy.

who sings in the shower: They both sing in the shower, but Setsuna has a better singing voice than Itsuka. Setsuna, though, likes listening to Itsuka anyways, simply because she loves her voice.

who cries during movies: Setsuna, although she doesn’t do it much.

who spends the most while out shopping: Setsuna! She grew up in a fairly rich household, so her idea of prices is a bit out of wack compared with Itsuka’s - so she lets her girlfriend do all the normal shopping. When they’re going out for clothes, though, she goes all out.

who kisses more roughly: Setsuna. One time, she accidentally made Itsuka’s tongue bleed with her spikey teeth, and she can never forgive herself for it.

who is more dominate: I’d say it’s a rough 50/50.

my rating of the ship from 1-10: 8.5/10! A solid ship.

I remember I bad a buddy named Quirkquartz(Since deleted everything on his tumblr), and one day we were shitting the breeze about something i don't remember, and the topic of Eugenics came up in context of ideas he meant we should revisit in order to build a "Better" future.

Now the guy was a hardcore communist, and i knew some of his ideas could be... Pretty extreme, but mostly it was in relation to how he hated capitalism.

And then he began lamenting that bad people had ruined the "potential" of Eugenics to create a better future for our species. And I'm left just looking at the screen with my mouth open, hoping that its really just some really, really bad joke, and i basically write: please tell me you're joking around?

And he just digs himself deeper, doubling down by pointing out that it sure would be better for the human race if certain inborn, genetic conditions that are passed down was removed from the breeding pool of future generations, by way of not letting them breed.

Needless to say, I broke off our friendship.

It was a harsh lesson for me, in that not only does the current internet culture bring out the WORST in people, but because there isn't any immediate and direct consequences of saying the WORST shit imaginable, some people will just... Say shit like this to people. And then act surprised, and defensive when you actually respond like a modern, sane person.

It's insane that he felt like he could trust ME with this opinion. ME, a guy he exclusively knew over the internet, and he'd never actually vocally talked to, or even seen a picture of. But I was apparently someone who he thought would be okay with it, but also we were close enough he felt he could share it with me.

The internet has just... Obliterated peoples ability to judge boundaries, and the capacity to judge what kind of people we're actually talking to. As a species, we're designed to communicate by talking and emoting to each other, and we're built with the understanding that if we say certain things, we are likely to get punched in the face, so we should take care what we say to who.

The internet removed that completely, and now generations are raised to just... Not consider anything they fucking say to anyone, because it won't hurt them, or you.

Its insane.

Me- "In Part 6 Annasui crushes Mickey Mouse behind a wooden crate."

QuirkQuartz- "... Okay, now I'm actually excited, what?!"

How do Mina and Deku handle certain awkward situations. Such as their parents walking on them being romantic. (Nothing intimate mind you, just something like kissing and cuddling, although adding how they handle their parents walking in on them during said intimates moments would be funny.)

Well in both scenarios, I imagine both of them would be pretty awkward and very embarrassed about it - Even Mina, and she takes those sorts of situations normally in stride. 

It’d probably depend more on who walked in on them. If they were at Izuku’s house and Inko walked in, I imagine she’d just sort of awkwardly back out and leave the two of them and it would just create an incredibly awkward feel, whereas I imagine Mina’s family would just take the piss and joke about it, and while it’d still be embarrassing, it wouldn’t be as awkward

If they were being intimate and got walked in on though, pretty much all bets are off and the pair of them are too awkward to even leave the room until they know for a fact that the house is empty. And considering i like to imagine they are a very intimate couple, I assume this would happen a lot, so people would walk in on them, back out, and then immediately leave the house for a while so the pair of them can actually bring themselves to leave the room they’re in
