ABSOLUTELY!

So first and foremost, it's going to be a quirkless Deku AU. It mostly starts out the same, except when All Might tells Izuku he can never be a hero because he doesn't have a quirk, instead of moping, he gets angry. He's been bullied and told his dream is stupid/impossible and even his own mother (from his point of view) doesn't support it. And now even his hero, the All Might himself, has told him to give up

NO!!!

He is not going to give up. He'll prove them wrong. He'll prove them all wrong, and he WILL become a hero, out of motherfucking spite, and he's going to be the best damn one there is.

He tears down all the All Might merch in his room, and sits down to make a plan. A real plan. No more wishing and dreaming.

At first, he tries to do everything on his own since he needs to prove himself. He studies past UA entrance exams. He signs up for self defense classes and a local gym. Except other gym members give him advice on different exercises, the importance of proper form and stretching, and they also give him a lot of dietary advice to help build muscle, the importance of keeping his body fueled, etc.

With what he learned, he knows that exercising isn't just limited to things like push ups, and heroes are supposed to be all about helping the citizens and community, so he decides to clean the beach he jogs by every morning. Except, as he starts, he realizes he doesn't have a way to get the junk off the beach, until a retired old man says he can use his son's delivery truck. He'll park it near the beach at night and take it to the dump in the morning before his son needs it again. People who run the shops on that street notice, and suddenly there are people who offer Izuku a nice snack or drink or bento for all his hard work, so he helps them out by moving boxes, fixing a bike, etc. Slowly, he realizes that heroes, true heroes, can't and shouldn't be separate from the communities they protect. They're a part of it, and he's got a whole bunch of people now rooting for him to make it into UA.

But because he doesn't have a quirk, he doesn't pass the entrance exam for the hero course. He does, however, get into the general course, and he knows from there, he can do things to get himself transferred into the hero course.

At this point, he's also started a little bit of after hours vigilantism. Without all the same support the hero classes get, he doesn't have a professional costume, so he buys a hoodie, googles, and some gear from the military surplus store to cobble together his own, and honestly, he looks kinda like a mugger, but he's going to do his best! And his first few "patrols" he doesn't do much. He sees a crime and calls it in to the cops. But as time goes on, he gets bolder and stops a couple muggings and purse snatchings.

And while most of the people in his nearby neighborhoods know he's a good guy, as he expands his "territory" he runs into Shinsou, who sees a shady guy in dark clothes skulking around at night, and decides to take matters into his own hands and chases down Izuku with a baseball bat.

The next day at school, they recognize each other. They've been in the same class for weeks, but they've also both been self-absorbed in their own plans to make it into the hero course. After convincing Shinsou he's not a mugger, they decide to team up since their goals align. Shinsou takes Izuku to the first aid and parkour classes he signed up for. Izuku drags Shinsou to his karate classes and every workout he's inflicted on himself. Shinsou also cobbles together a costume for himself and they start patrolling as "heroes" together.

They've, unfortunately, also started getting the attention of the cops and local heroes after this, including Eraser Head. They recognize their just kids, but vigilantism is illegal, and they're going to get themselves hurt.

Stuff carries on until both do extremely well in the Sports Festival in October, and they get transferred to the hero track, with Izuku in 1A and Shinsou in 1B. The hero course is much stricter, so students in both classes 1A and 1B drop like flies, and the classes are much smaller than in canon. Because the classes are whittled down so much, there's room to transfer Izuku and Shinsou into the hero tracks now rather than in their second year, and despite the two being split up, this does not stop them from going over to the other's class every lunch and break they get.

They also reach out to Mei Hatsume after her performance in the Sports Festival because her gear is awesome and she should totally build stuff for them. I want to work her in so these three become the new main trio. Overall, I want to show a lot more of the other tracks and how cooperation leads to a lot more success than the current system that pits heroes against each other.

The addition of Shinsou and Izuku to the hero track also help revitalize the other students, and their enthusiasm helps rekindle the passions the other students had quickly been losing after the hellish training they've been put through since spring, reminding a lot of them about why they wanted to be heroes in the first place, and getting them to open up and bond more.

I'm also going to delve into Aizawa's backstory (canon divergent) and how he became broken by the system as he realized the UA program is really just a meat grinder to push out as many highly marketable, child soldier celebrities as possible, and he's seen so many of his former students broken by the industry. So now, to save as many as possible, he flunks out as many students as he can as fast as he can before their lives are ruined.

Stain would play a much bigger role as the main villain since his ideology about hero society mirror's Izuku's views. Endeavor will definitely be held accountable for the abuse he inflicted on his family (maybe not publicly, but privately and within the family, yes). And I also want to focus a lot more on villains being rehabilitated and shown as humans who the system has failed.

I've got a lot more, but the other thing holding me back is that I haven't gotten caught up on the series since Bakugou was kidnapped by the League of Villains, so I need to get caught up.

When people think/write about adult quirkless deku AU where he never got ofo and never became a hero, that he'd be all rage filled and hate bakugo still.

But I feel there's a lot of missed opportunities where he's not rage-filled and hateful but just awkward and weirded out by the whole situation.

Like imagine you're Izuku, you are now a grown ass man, you are completely over Middle School and all of the events that transpired there, you don't really care about Katsuki.

But the problem is you see his face everywhere. Taking the bus to work? Bam! Childhood bully on a billboard. Trying to watch a YouTube video? Bam! Unskippable ad of your childhood bully trying to sell you cookware.

You go on a hero forum to nerd out and you see a couple posts talking about how "Hot hero Dynamite is", and you just have to remember that this is the same guy who, when you were five, you were at a sleepover together and he peed the bed and you had to help him hide the evidence and agree to never speak of it again.

The whole situation is just so unbelievably awkward. And gods forbid you ever try to talk to anyone about heroes irl.

You start talking about heroes but then they bring up Dynamite and you have to try to change the conversation to a different hero without them getting suspicious. You're doomed if you get into a conversation with someone you find out to be a super fan of his. Or worse, you call him "Kacchan" out of habit and then they look at you weird.

And you're not just going to go around telling people that you grew up with him. Cuz either they don't believe you or they just think you're weird and still salty about your childhood.

You really don't care about him anymore! You just wish he would stop popping up in your life.

Motor racer Bakugou and the only member of his crew that can handle the temper. Also they're in love and Izuku joined the crew just to look after him, that and he thinks he looks good in his gear.

I know the series hasn't ended yet, but I'm proposing an alternate ending with what I assume would be a similar level of consistency.

Class 2A is going about the clean up(because for some reason, winning the war wasn't enough work for them to do for the useless adults), there's a slapstick violence gag, Midoriya gets hit in the head, and it fades to black...

He wakes up in a hospital bed, no muscles, no scars, no quirk. He's 14 again. The last 2 years never happened. All Might didn't save him from the Sludge Villain. He never got One for All. He never got into UA. The war never happened. The Sludge Villain had been puppeteering his body for three days before getting caught. Everything had been a comatose hallucination.

He's in a daze, gets discharged from the hospital, and goes to school the next day. When he sees how Bakugou still treats him, Midoriya realizes how bad it really is. "You told me to take a swan dive off the roof. When I was gone, did you ever worry that I did?"

We don't get an answer.

"You could be a great hero, Kac-Bakugou. If only you could learn to care about anyone but yourself."

Midoriya goes to Dagobah beach after school, still covered in mountains of garbage. We see bandages on him.

'This is the story of how I became a quirkless hero.'

He starts cleaning.

Izuku Midoriya!! AU where All Might tells Izuku to build gadgets and tools that can assist All Might and preserve his strength, so Izuku joins the support course and later along the way realizes that even w/o a quirk, he too can be a hero.

TDLR: Quirkless, Support course! Izuku finds the drive to still be a hero on his own.

I have, admittedly, a lot written down for this LMAOOO. mha has always frustrated me because of the potential it has and the messages it sends. I am a firm believer that Izuku should have stayed quirkless and strive to be a hero still, the message it sends by giving Izuku a quirk instead of letting him still strive to be a hero-just sucks and doesnt make sense! Its sending the message that you need a quirk to be a hero, when throughout the series Izuku has proven that he has the brains and capabilities to be a hero without even using his quirk. Also the series has shown perfect examples as to why the society in mha is corrupt yet it does nothing to challenge or combat it, only accepting it-LIKE IT GETS WORSE AFTER THE TIMESKIP TOO??

I love mha tho like the pookies and concepts it has are very swag.

Au, where everything is almost the same, but quirks appeared a little earlier. Because of this, the quirkless population dropped from 20% to a measly 1%, or even less. That is, it is practically impossible for this to happen

And when Izuku had absolutely every sign pointing to him not having a quirk, everyone was like: “No way😳😳😳��� and put in his card: “not yet discovered / specific requirements for activation.”

AND FROM THIS MOMENT, his every action is accompanied by: “maybe this is your quirk?!”

"You're mumbling like that...maybe your quirk is the inability to think to yourself?"

"Wow, you're so smart! Is this your quirk?!"

"It's incredible, you cry so much! Maybe your quirk is hypersensitive?!"

It went so far that someone once said that Izuku's quirk was to imitate a quirkless person.

I JUST— I want him to end up in UA in this AU and have every teacher, including Nedzu, try to find his quirk. And he simply doesn't have any😭😭😭🤘🤘🤘

The wind blew harsh against Izuku's skin. It whipped through his green hair as he clutched tightly onto his guitar pic. With a deep inhale he stepped up a short staircase which had a door that led backstage. There sat his other two band members, the only two friends he had left. 

"Are you two ready?", His voice rang out, it echoed through the backstage dressing room. The two of them looked up, one with brown hair and big brown eyes, the other with green hair that was long enough it almost dragged across the floor when she walked. 

They both gave an enthusiastic thumbs up before standing up. The three of them walk out onto stage giving the roaring crowd a wave. Ochako took her spot first, her hand wrapped tightly around the shaft of the mic. Next was Tsuyu, she sat down on a small stool behind her keyboard stand, the poles were covered in stickers. Lastly came Izuku, his heart racing like crazy in his chest, with each thump he felt his headache grow.

With a gentle strum he started them off after Tsu's count. Majority of their performance he kept his eyes closed, trying to avoid staring into the crowd. This didn't help though, he felt a pair of eyes on him, granted there were hundreds, but there was one pair that he could feel more than the others. His own eyes fluttered open only to be met with a red pair staring back at him. 

His breaths grew heavier as he continued playing. For only a second he glanced away before looking back to where he saw his childhood spiky haired friend sitting in the stands. While doing his double take, he noticed that who he saw wasn't truly there. He tried to shrug it off and keep preforming, but it ate away at him the entire time right until the last moment. 

As they were exiting stage he heard his name being shouted out in the crowd, he stopped dead in his tracks and turned to face the hundreds of people. He could hear his heart thumping in his ears just before he heard his name again.

"IZUKU!", The voice was raspy, a tone only a certain person that he knew could make. Once again he peered out into the crowd, not seeing whom he had been looking for. He held his hands over his ears until he made it backstage with the other two.

Tossing his guitar onto the couch, he chugged a bottle of water. Both Tsu and Ochako both gave concerned glances at each other before one of them spoke up. 

"Deku..? Is everything alright?", Ochako asked, her tone gentle but still mildly concerned.

"Oh? Yeah I'm fine. Don't worry about it." Such an awkward interaction left the walk back to his car silent, as well as majority of the drive back to their shared apartment.

Mina tied up her shoes and readjusted her clothes, standing in front of the mirror before turning to Katsuki, who sat with his feet propped up on a coffee table in front of the couch. Although he didn't say a word, there was a certain expression that was plastered across his face that didn't quite scream his usual demeanor.

"What's wrong Bakubabe?", Mina questioned before turning to face her back to Denki to zip up her top in the back. 

"Nothings wrong, freak. And quit calling me that. It's getting old.", His voice sliced through the upbeat atmosphere in the room like a knife through butter. 

"Yeesh, no need to be so harsh dude!", Exclaimed Hanta before Denki butted in "Yeah c'mon man, we're on in five."

He grabbed his drum sticks, they were battered. The same wooden pair he had since they were 1st years in highschool. The four of them stepped on stage, Mina in the middle near the front where the mic stand stood. 

"How we feelin' out there tonight!?", Mina excitedly shouted into the mic in attempts to get the crowd riled up, and sure enough it worked. They were met back with screams louder than the ones when they stepped on stage. 

Kyoka, from backstage, gave them the okay to start and began working the lights and making sure that their instruments sounded just as good through the speakers of the venue. Katsuki gave the count per usual with a four count tap on the rim of his drum. 

In the middle of the 2nd song, right before his solo, something inside him snapped. His mind kept rewinding to that moment, the last moment he shared with Izuku. Their last few words uttered to each other in the pouring rain.

As the band continued his playing grew sloppy and off beat, his mind running off to other places that weren't the sheet music he had memorized days in advance. With each movement the sticks slammed harder into the cymbals. Without paying attention to where exactly his sticks were landing, he hit his wrist.

Once it made contact all hell broke loose from there, the force from the impact fractured his wrist causing a chain reaction of events that left the audience in shock. 

Without a second noticed he stormed off stage shoving Kyoka out of the way but not hard enough for her to fall. He slammed the door to his dressing room shut and let out a loud and guttural scream. With it came a string of swears. 

Back on stage Mina was making an attempt to keep the crowd calm whilst Hanta and Denki continued playing. "Alright guys, Bakubabe seems to be having a bit of wardrobe malfunction, we'll be back out in 10!"

The three of them quickly exited off-stage only to be met with the not-so-muffled sounds of Katsuki's yells. Before long he was quiet, not even a peep could be heard. 

On the other side of the door he hesitated with his contacts open. His finger hovered over the call button before he gave in and pushed it. Impatiently he tapped his foot as he heard the dial tone.

Tomura Shigaraki and AFO decided to strike a year earlier than cannon. Izuku and Katsuki were together because Katsuki was trying to hunt down Izuku to bully him some more. Then, Tomura launched his biggest attack yet and released lots of nomu. So, Izuku and Katsuki were stuck in the apocalypse together. Izuku's analysis and Katsuki's battle sense become incredible resources and they survive with each other's help (they also thrive, as Izuku is great when the most valuable thing in the world is knowledge, and Izuku helps Katsuki's quirk, as the second most valuable is strength). They become close friends. They become more, although they never define what they are because there was no one else to define it for. All that was left was them, and they already knew what they were to each other. Best friends, confidante, supports, heroes. They didn't think many people were alive, but the stories of their plights spread amongst the remaining survivors. Eventually, a rag-tag group of heroes and one escaped villain find them and recruit them. They go for a little (Katsuki is cautious and doesn't want to rely on others, but Izuku wants to build a suvivors group, so they agree on a trial period), and the group sees how good the others are at surviving and taking down nomu, so they start a small Rebellion. It soon grows large under the leadership of the two, and they both face off against Shigaraki in a final battle. There's no more nomu as they previously destroyed all the factories and killed all the other nomu. They become legends.

fic idea: you know those fanfics where izuku doesn’t get in UA and does something else? Most the time vigilantism and villainy, but sometimes support course or even just a normal person like a coffee shop or something. What if instead he became a writer/reporter. Fanfiction where 1A is fighting villains and Izuku is fighting injustice. It starts off anonymous on blogs, taking down his middle school and other schools he knows are mistreating it students and letting strong bullies get away with hurting “ weaker” students. Eventually, it becomes big and he’s one of the biggest social justice activists in Japan and is known for his precision, accuracy, and quick thinking. He’s been challenged by people with bigoted beliefs and always wins the debate. Not necessarily a politician, but something better because the people trust him.
