CC Show Rugs for Sims 4 Horses

🍂Introducing: SmartPak Luxe Collection🍂

My first attempt at CC! I'm so excited to be sharing these luxurious show rugs. I've used @objuct's turnout blanket mesh to create two versions of show rugs for all your fancy horse needs!

There are two styles of rug available: a quilted and a wool version!

The quilted rug features simlish SmartPak labels and elastic straps, fluffy artificial fleece around the neck, and a leather front strap.

The wool rug features a rope piping border and hip ornaments, an artificial fleece neck, and a leather front strap. Feel free to customize with your own barn name!

This took way too much time and also my sanity while I was trying to learn how to blender. I have SO MUCH respect for all CC creators, especially the amazingly lovely and talented creators in the Sims 4 Horse community!

Ok!!! Starting off, I made the mistake of getting plastic back again, I know, I said I wouldn’t but oh my goodness are these cute or what?

These are plastic back, but instead of the sticky tabs, which the previous dips had, these are hook and loop, meaning it’s a lot like velcro but only plastic instead of plastic and cloth.

One thing I will say, is I think I’ll get a bigger size. Most times I am a large to x-large when it comes to sizing, and I went with a large this time. I did order from amazon again, so discrete shipping, but all they had where a large, so I will be ordering from ABU directly next time so I can also get sent strips and a larger size.

(Yes, they have sent strips!! How cool is that! I’ve heard they smell like baby powder, but don’t quote me on that, I’m not super sure.)

Unlike the previous diapers, this one does not have a quilted center, so it’s not as soft, but they also aren’t as loud. They are still pretty loud, but not as loud.

Another thing I can say is the pattern is so cute but instead of like a gyroscopic pattern, it’s a strip pattern, meaning on the back, it is upside down.

They come with two patterns:

A bunny with a purple background with a star and moon, and a bunny on a blue background with balloons! PNGs from @/thetinypngs.

They also have a PINK CORE. Often you will see a blue, purple, or no core, but this is the only brand that I have seen this far with a pink core! It is a light baby pink at that!

If you cannot tell already, I love these dips, and definitely will be buying again! I have wanted to get my tiny hands on these since I learned about padded regression!

WELCOME BACK TO "I rate things because it's fun!"

Today we are rating full forms (?) Of characters but I have to be practical-ish

First off we have

Honestly, I can only say good things about him, this is by far my favorite design, however. I feel like they could've given him either a loincloth or harem pants, not both (I might be wrong and that's one piece) I still feel like it doesn't fit. It looks Arabian prince inspired (once more correct me if Im wrong), but the fur collar isn't add anything to the outfit. I feel like if they just accentuated his gold collar more it would have the same effect of fullness :]

Overall: 8.5/10

For some reason his png is huge so points off but even then, I want to draw attention to those sticks on his head. The bat bones? Kinda lacking. I feel like instead they should've just been tattered but other than that he's pretty cool. Tail might have to be fixed though

First off when doing a quick glance compared to every other character, his demon form is the most traditional and simple. Because of this, I'm a little disappointed that the outfit didn't have much pop, you know? As the avatar of pride, you'd think you'd want his outfit to draw your eye but no ;( Instead of the flowy waistcoat maybe an actual peacock fan and more feather in his design. A problem you can't really fix but I feel like instead of to impress, he'd display the fan and open his wings to full size to look bigger and intimate

Overall: A disappointing 6/10

Much like Luci, his design looks more traditional and unlike him, his outfit makes up for it. However, my ONLY complaint is the orientation. It's good but not spread properly. All the detail seems to be drawn to the chest so maybe remove the jacket and do a full harness? Or do a full jacket with a harness peeking underneath. Also solid pants and combat boots to match

Overall: 9/10

For some reason all the pngs are different sizes idk how to fix it BUT not too many critiques on this. Just remove the jacket and go full turtleneck and suspenders. Or go full oversized hoodie. As usual, the pants are atrocious but they all are so no points off

Overall: Our first 10/10

A ten followed by an immediate -20. It's tacky and overpopulated like they added stuff and forgot they already had something there. It's atrocious and Asmo would never stand for this. The top should be without that collar (what's solomares obsession with non-practical ugly collars) and move the scorpion to his upper arm or turn it into a corset design. Scrap the quilt design and more evenly space the roses. Make the pant legs both black but add small chains and harnesses to get the same effect. Heels.

Overall: 🤢/10

This is atrocious for someone born from Luci. Putting aside my previous bias, it's an ok outfit. The top could slay but the pants drown it out. Bigass Gucci belt buckle also gots to go. Keep the boa because it's kinda cute. The tail looks like it pinches, no thanks. Keep that

Overall: 7/10

Not many complaints though it looks very similar to Mammon and Satan. Maybe not all three belts, just the one white one and the black one

I'm speechless. All of it looks like another opportunity that was wasted. Buckles, no, he's highwatering those pants, I know his ankles ashy. Why are your pants spotted? Why is there a random horseshoe?? Also please just erase the other eye, it looks like a ghost eye. WHY ARE HIS SLEEVES CUT OUT.

OVERALL: -100/10

I don't have the room for the angels but I'm giving Simeon a 9/10 and Luke an 8/10 just because I feel like there's more they could've done for an angel form than just white clothes. Wings at least.

Overall the Design Score for demon forms is: 67% kinda average, not much past good. Still decent though. Levi, Dia and Tan carried. Next up, everyday outfits! But like next week

Good News/Bad News

The bad news is that my sewing machine decided to no longer recognize that it has a foot pedal on Sunday.

The good news is that the service fee I was quoted on the phone yesterday was $40 higher than what they actually asked for when I dropped it off during my lunch today.

In the meantime I've been focused on EPP, hand quilting, knitting, and trying to get better with my cricut machine. I'm currently figuring out stickers and discovered that lots of folks here on tumblr are sharing transparent PNGs that I can play with.

I would also like to point out that they've reused this one texture file of what appears to be quilted maple numerous times so far, and that its a hella good res file for digital art in 2000-whenever this was being made, so its either a .tiff (unlikely, huge file size,) .bmp (large file size but lossless,) .tga (unlikely, deprecated format mostly used in 3D,) or possibly an early form of .png (.png was around since 1994 but not formalized as a standard until 2004.) I don't know why I thought this might be interesting to point out.

how in the fuck does anyone look at the Celtic knotwork and interlocking rings designs and the color palette of this (absolutely gorgeous!) quilt, each element of which has at least one obvious callback to the artistic traditions someone drawing the exact same design would obviously be working in, and all of which would be much much easier to render in pencil or PNG drawing than in cut and sewn fabric (and the result would not be able to serve a practical purpose, where this can be a display piece anytime it's not keeping someone warm), and say the drawing is art and the quilt is not?

(rhetorical question, bc I know full well the answer is part devaluing assigned-feminine art forms in favor of assigned-masculine art forms, and part deriding as mere decorative craftwork anything put to practical use, even when the same piece behind glass in a gallery or museum would be unambiguously artwork)
