A yowl of discontent rose up from the gathered cats and Patchstar, from his position on the Tallrock narrowed his eyes, easily pinpointing the source. Quickwhisper. Patchstar bit back a sigh as the molly got to her paws, a snarl on her face.

“Is that true Patchstar?” She all but growled. “Are you really in love with that Riverclan medicine cat?”

Patchstar could feel his fur start to bristle. His personal life - his past - was no concern of his warriors. But Flamefoot loved causing a scene and at a Gathering no less. The ginger tom wouldn’t have to deal with the consequences of his actions, and now Patchstar forced himself to calm down, lay his fur flat, and survey his clanmates from atop the Tallrock.

Most were looking between him and Quickwhisper with morbid curiosity - and, Patchstar observed with a pang of guilt, betrayal. Featherheart looked up at him from the medicine cat den, sympathy glistening in her amber eyes, and for the most part, Gorseshine was the only cat who looked at the black and silver molly with shock for speaking out as she did.

From the gathered elders, Patchstar could see Darkcloud getting to her paws, but the tom lifted his tail signaling for the quiet murmurs and hushed conversations taking place to end.

He could fight his own battles that was certain.

“To answer your question Quickwhisper,” He began. “I don’t love any cats other than you all - my friends and family. And I ask all of you this - would you listen to the baseless rumors of rival clans, or me, your leader who wouldn’t hesitate to lay down every single one of my nine lives for each and every one of you?”

Even as Patchstar said the words and watched as - a majority of - Windclan agreed, he felt a twinge in his heart at the lie. How could he ever say that? That Lotusstream wasn’t the most important cat in all of the clans to him?

The tom caught Featherheart’s eye again, before looking away. Featherheart had always told him his love wasn’t anything to be ashamed of, but what was more shameful than this? Being the leader of Windclan and in love with the Riverclan medicine cat?

As he looked about his clannmates, he saw only Quickwhisper and Stagleaf still looking skeptical and sighed. He wondered where their friendship had gone wrong. The hot-headed molly he grew up with hadn’t changed even after what seemed to be hundreds of moons.

But then again, neither had Patchstar

The queens!! All of them got a glow-up, especially Nitfeather because my g o d her old design was so bad. It looked terrible. Looks better now tho. 

Aaaanyways we have:

- Shimmertail, the oldest queen who is kinda petty and self-centered (until the whole thing with Sheen, after that she kinda wisens up and figures herself out for the sake of Galerush and Driftrunner)

- Nitfeather, a former loner and one of the forerunners of the resistance against Vinestar, she was the mate of Blackreed and is the mother of Quickwhisper and Cindershock. She despises Shimmertail for a lot of reasons, which sometimes causes a bit of drama in the nursery.

- Bouncefoot, the beloved nursery tom! He’s very soft-spoken and reserved, much like his sister Fawnstreak. His mate Mistybush got sick and died not long after their kits Fleetkit, Tumblekit, and Littlekit were born, and he took care of them until they became apprentices. He was expected to return to warrior duties, but instead stayed in the nursery as he found it much more enjoyable to take care of kits and help out the queens. He acts as a father figure for kits who don’t have one. 

- Quickwhisper, a young warrior and the youngest of the queens. Her mate is Cloverlight, and their first kit was Swiftsky. She would have returned to warrior duties after he became an apprentice, but her first kitting was hard and left her with a longer recovery period than usual. Then her niece Strikekit was born, and Tangleflower left the nursery almost immediately.. and someone had to take care of her. She tries to stay out of the drama between the two older queens, but secretly she really dislikes Shimmertail as well and tries to offer support for her mother during their more heated spats. She’s a diehard supporter of Rosestar and Hollyfrost.

Hey! which charcters to want to redraw and why?

So, which of my characters do I want to redesign? Good question! Here's some of the cats I want to do redesigns on when I finish the new Clan sheets:

Flurryfeather: make her smaller, make her pelt more feathery, and change her herb, probably to rosemary

Tuftear: mostly I think I want to change her markings, I'm not great at designing torties and her design is really busy

Heronstalk: I have never been super satisfied with his design, but I think the one on the recolored Clan sheets I posted is pretty good

Quickwhisper: I want to give her some brown tones like she's a bit sun-bleached, and make her look slightly less like a carbon copy of Blackreed

Splinterfang: I want to change the way his fur hangs to make him look kinda wet and bedraggled, and I think I'll give his fur more of a grey tone. And maybe make his markings more burmese-esque like his sister and mom

Darkeyes: Idk.. her design just. it doesn't really fit how I envision her personality in my head? Not sure what I would change though. Maybe make her a little greyer, now that I have her siblings solidified as being Batswoop and Breezefeather, who are both black.

Pheasantruff: I completely redid his coloring on the recolored Clan sheet, and I'll probably change his face structure to look a lot more cocky to match his confident, slightly abrasive demeanor

idk what i plan on doing with these characters?? like idk if i’m just going to make pmvs and stuff or maybe a comic. but from the point in which my allegiances are set onward, yes!

in GlenClan, Goldenlight has Brambletail, I’m thinking about giving Rainwhisker another litter of Plumfall, Appleshine and Chestnutheart, and Echorain has another two litters after Cloudfall. Sunblaze, Jaystorm, and Lilystream also have kits eventually.

in PineClan, Shimmertail has Galerush and Driftrunner, Tangleflower has Strikenose, and Rosestar, Ryeberry, Robindown, and Quickwhisper all have kits
